The influence of Ra number on the flow and the enhancement of heat transfer characteristics of the partitioned convection system are studied. For the gap height d =0.02, the velocity U and the temperature TD number of the heat transfer channels in the partitioned convection system are two stages with the Ra number, the U increases and the TD number changes little in the low Ra number range, the U changes little and the TD number decreases in the high Ra number range. The Nu number increased with Ra , and the Nu number increased rapidly in low Ra stage, Nu ~ Ra 1.1, and Nu number increased slowly down in high Ra stage, Nu ~ Ra 0.14. Compared with the Rayleigh-Benard convection System ( Nu no~ Ra 0.29), the partitioned convection system has enhanced heat transfer interval which is 7×105≤ Ra ≤5×109 and the maximum Nu q, Nu q≈3 Nu no. For three different gap height d , the characteristic of the velocity U and TD number and the Nu number with the Ra number are unchanged, but the position of the characteristic curve corresponding to the Ra number is changed. The characteristic curve moves in the direction of low Ra number when the gap height d increases. The different d will change the enhanced heat transfer interval of the Ra number. The maximum Nu q of the partitioned convection system with three different gap heights is about 3 times of Nu no, and the Ra corresponding to Nu q decrease when the gap height d increases.
