Optimization Analysis of Human Resource Management Strategies of Nantong University, a Local Comprehensive University in China

This study analyzes the current situation and challenges of Nantong University amid the rapid development of higher education, addressing aspects such as faculty structure, administrative management efficiency, and promotion mechanisms. Through questionnaire surveys and field research, coupled with SWOT analysis and various theoretical methods, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on Nantong University’s internal and external environment. The study proposes an improved comprehensive development strategy and implementation measures, which include updating management concepts, strengthening professional training, optimizing employment conditions, and improving salary systems. Ultimately, this study provides practical strategies for human resource management and the transformational development of Nantong University and other local comprehensive universities.

Nursing student perspectives on clinical instructor performance

The rapid development of higher education in nursing and science and technology in Indonesia is still having problems related to the quality of learning, student graduates, and variations in academic quality that affect the quality of higher education. The perspective of nursing students is deemed a crucial factor for assessment and plays a significant role in enhancing learning activities and clinical practices. This study aimed to assess the perspectives of nursing students regarding the performance of their clinical instructors. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research design with an explanatory survey approach, utilizing a cross-sectional methodology. The criteria for selecting respondents consisted of 3rd and 5th-semester students who had completed clinical nursing practice in hospitals. The primary variable examined in this research was the performance of clinical instructors. Data collection was conducted using an instrument in the form of a Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) that employed a Likert scale to measure student perspectives on clinical instructor performance. To analyze the correlation between student satisfaction and the five aspects of the CEQ, Spearman's Rho correlation was employed. Nursing student perspectives on clinical instructor performance using CEQ-23 have an overall effect on student satisfaction with a p-value of 0.000. The aspect that has the most influence on student satisfaction was the scale of Generic Skills with 67,7%. Technical proficiency and effective communication skills, clinical instructors must also possess a comprehensive understanding of their roles and functions in guiding students. To enhance the quality of teaching and institutions, it is essential to establish teaching objectives that prioritize the development of general skills and ensure that students comprehend these objectives. Moreover, it is crucial to maintain manageable workloads for instructors. Clinical instructors should consistently offer valuable feedback and guidance to students.

Innovation and entrepreneurship education development on employment anxiety of college students

BackgroundWith the rapid development of higher education in China and the continuous expansion of enrollment in universities, the number of college graduates is rapidly increasing, and the employment situation is severe. Employment anxiety among college students not only affects their physical and mental health but also leads to difficulties in finding employment and social problems. In response to this situation, we aim to alleviate the employment anxiety of college students from the perspective of the development of innovation and entrepreneurship education.Subjects and MethodsTaking college students as the research object, a cross-sectional questionnaire survey method was used to explore the impact and mechanism of innovation and entrepreneurship education development on employment anxiety. The development of innovation and entrepreneurship education intervenes with high employment anxiety among college students and tests its effectiveness.ResultsThe overall employment anxiety of college students is at a moderate to high level, with a mean of 2.66 and a standard deviation of 0.63. The employment anxiety of students after innovation and entrepreneurship education was significantly lower than before intervention, P<0.001. The employment anxiety value of the post-test intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group, with F=12.046, P<0.001.ConclusionsInterventions in innovation and entrepreneurship education have a significant effect on alleviating employment anxiety among college students, and this effect can be maintained within a month.

Examining Regional Disparities in Higher Education Equity in Terms of Size, Faculty, and Funding

With the expansion of higher education in China and the relaxation of policies, the popularization and massization of higher education have led to the connotative development and steady improvement of higher education in China. However, due to the different environments of economy, policy and geography, there are some regional differences and equity problems in the process of rapid development of higher education in China. In this paper, the education data of 31 provinces, municipalities directly under the central government and autonomous regions in China will be used as the basis to study the three aspects of education scale, faculty and education expenses through the Gini coefficient analysis method. The research results show that with the efforts of some aspects such as national policies, the regional differences in higher education in China have become more and more relatively fair in recent years. In contrast, compared to the central and western regions, the eastern region is the region where the greatest disparity exists in higher education development.

Integration and Design of Ideological and Political Points in Course of Plant Physiology

Plant physiology is one of the fundamental disciplines of life sciences, and is also a compulsory basic course for undergraduate and graduate students of biology-related majors in various colleges and universities, whose content is based on elucidating the laws and nature of plant life activities. Classification tree algorithm and its application in general archives management system

Cultural reproduction or cultural mobility: The influence of individual characteristics and student engagement on academic achievement of the first generation college students in Chinese Research University

With the rapid development of higher education in China, the first-generation college students in China's research universities are gradually becoming the minority .Based on a sample of 5524 students at a research university in China, this study examines the impact of family institutional cultural capital on academic achievement of undergraduates, as well as the moderating effect of individual characteristics and student engagement. The study finds no significant difference between the first-generation college students and non-first-generation college students in grade point average but a significant difference in graduate education opportunities. Compared with non-first-generation college students, being a minority in college and student-student interaction have greater negative influence on first-generation students’ academic achievement, while academic activities participation has a positive impact. The analysis results show that the first-generation college students in Chinese research universities are still at a disadvantage in terms of academic achievement that requires comprehensive ability, but this cannot be simply be attributed to cultural reproduction. Student engagement still plays a role in promoting cultural mobility, and the importance of institutional cultural capital varies by the type and stage of achievement measured.

HIGHER EDUCATION QUALITY ASSURANCE: CONTEMPORARY TENDENCIES

The article deals with the quality of higher education in the context of global trends in higher education development, taking into account global and international influences that encourage discussion of the problem of higher education quality assurance. The concept of quality has been considered and the lack of consensus regarding its conceptualization and evaluation has been stated. The higher education quality has been considered from a pedagogical point of view – as a systematic methodological category reflecting the degree of conformity of the result to the goal set, as well as the correspondence of the product to the consumers’ requirements and as a set of its characteristics determining the degree of suitability of the product for its intended use. It has been noted that the concept of quality and its indicators are debatable due to the presence of a range of stakeholders – persons interested in higher education. The difference in the value of higher education quality for each of the interested parties has been determined by the presence of their own interests and their own vision of quality. Globalization, the massification of higher education and the ICT revolution have been stressed in the article as factors that have radically changed the higher education environment, creating new challenges for governments, higher education institutions and other stakeholders. Higher education quality assurance has been defined as a global problem, and the growing attention to this problem has been noted in connection with the rapid development of higher education and the increase in the cost of educational services for the state and the public. Recent trends in higher education have been reviewed and their advantages and disadvantages have been noted.

University Academic Performance Development Prediction Based on TDA.

With the rapid development of higher education, the evaluation of the academic growth potential of universities has received extensive attention from scholars and educational administrators. Although the number of papers on university academic evaluation is increasing, few scholars have conducted research on the changing trend of university academic performance. Because traditional statistical methods and deep learning techniques have proven to be incapable of handling short time series data well, this paper proposes to adopt topological data analysis (TDA) to extract specified features from short time series data and then construct the model for the prediction of trend of university academic performance. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated by experiments on a real-world university academic performance dataset. By comparing the prediction results given by the Markov chain as well as SVM on the original data and TDA statistics, respectively, we demonstrate that the data generated by TDA methods can help construct very discriminative models and have a great advantage over the traditional models. In addition, this paper gives the prediction results as a reference, which provides a new perspective for the development evaluation of the academic performance of colleges and universities.

Performance Enhancement In Higher Education Through Optimization Of Internal Audit Functions

This research is based on the rapid development of Higher Education in Muhammadiyah, but the internal supervision of universities had been not optimal yet. So this study aims to explore the implementation and function of Internal Audit in Muhammadiyah University. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The data collection process is carried out through interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and documentation. Data analysis is conducted with Nvivo software. The informants in this study were the Head of the Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI) and the Head of the University Financial Administration Board from 3 (three) Muhammadiyah Universities (PTM). The results of this study show that the role of internal audit is to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in managing higher education operational. Currently, the internal function of the auditor is not only as a monitor (watchdog) but also as a consultant and catalyst for improving the performance of universities.

The research method used to describe the integrity management model of pesantren education for students in Yogyakarta is qualitative descriptive with Data collection techniques in interviews, documentation, and observation. This study shows that: (1) The integration model of universities and pesantren in Yogyakarta is not carried out in one model. (2) Management of Islamic boarding school education carried out by the Tarbiyah Madani School of Science is linear integration management. (3) Educational Management Islamic boarding school conducted by Stikes Surya Global is a non-linear, fully integrated management type. (4) Management of Islamic boarding schools carried out by Unires Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is a type of partial integration management (5) In implementing the management of Islamic boarding schools, Students in Yogyakarta are seen using good modern management. (6) Management of islamic boarding school students shows professional and accountable management in all elements.
