Proactive personality and its impact on online learning engagement through positive emotions and learning motivation.

The rapid change in information technology has made online or blended learning a new norm in higher education. However, the problem of low student engagement in online learning is becoming more prominent. This study explores how college students' proactive personality affects their online learning engagement through the mediating effects of positive emotions and learning motivation. A survey was conducted on college students (N = 1049), and the interrelationships among these variables were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The findings unveiled that: proactive personality positively predicts online learning engagement, positive emotions and learning motivation. Positive emotions and learning motivation significantly positively influence online learning engagement. Moreover, Positive emotions also exert a significant positive impact on learning motivation. In addition, the mediation of positive emotions and learning motivation further strengthened a significant positive correlation between proactive personality and online learning engagement. Implications for theory and practice, including the limitations, were discussed accordingly.

FORMATION OF RESEARCH AND COGNITIVE ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS

The article examines the issues of developing research and cognitive activity among students at the Dagestan State Pedagogical University (DSPU). In the context of rapid changes in information technologies and education, the focus is placed on the problems and methods of activating these aspects. The authors analyze the external and internal factors influencing students' cognitive activity and the motivations underlying the pursuit of knowledge and professional growth. An empirical study is presented, identifying the main obstacles to the formation of students' activity and suggesting solutions, including through the use of interactive teaching methods, case methods, project work, laboratory and practical classes, as well as brainstorming and technological tools. Purpose. The study aims to stimulate and enhance the research and cognitive activity of students at the Dagestan State Pedagogical University to improve the quality of higher education and form professionals capable of independent professional activity. Method and methodology. Application of a comprehensive approach, including the analysis of theoretical foundations of educational psychology, investigation of current interactive learning methods, and assessment of the practical application of the acquired knowledge in the educational process Results. Development and integration of interactive teaching methods, such as role-playing games, simulations, case methods, and project work, that demonstrate improved student motivation, activity, and quality of education. Scope of the results: higher education, particularly pedagogical universities and colleges, where the innovation can be integrated into teaching programs to develop critical thinking and independent research skills among future professionals.

Interactive College Drama Teaching Based on Internet Remote Technology

With the rapid change of information technology and the continuous development of internet technology, more and more colleges and universities have begun to try the interactive drama teaching mode based on internet remote technology. In the process of its development, this teaching mode has increasingly reflected its far-reaching educational significance and occupies an important position in the modern education model. It not only enables students to participate in the drama teaching mode under different spatial conditions, but also shares learning resources in a wider range, so that students can better and faster integrate into learning, greatly reducing the impact caused by time or space constraints. Therefore, this paper aims to study the development needs of internet remote technology and the drama teaching mode of Chinese colleges and universities, as well as the development needs of interactive drama teaching.

Цифрова платформа як інструмент цифровізації освіти

Under the influence of digital transformation, which consists in the digitalization of various spheres of human life, a new technological phenomenon is emerging – a digital platform. In the context of economic development, rapid changes in information technology and a new quality of society, modern education is based on high-tech educational tools, i. e. mobile and universal digital platforms. The authors of the article analyze the concept of «digital platform» in the context of its use in the digital educational environment in the context of digitalization of education. The current approaches to the interpretation of digital platforms, proposed by various scientists, are considered. It is determined that the digital platform should be considered as one of the digital learning tools in the course of the educational process in the context of digitalization of education. Also, a digital platform is a virtual spot, an information and communication environment that provides academic content, productive activities, communication and interactive interaction of participants in the process, also a software and hardware tool that provides access to the digital educational environment of all participants at any time from anywhere in the world and ensures the educational process in distance learning. The problems, advantages and disadvantages associated with the functioning of digital platforms are identified. It is also noted that the digital educational environment, thanks to the capabilities of digital platforms, should be a center for various information flows due to the active information interaction of all participants in the educational process. Hence, digital platforms are one of the most important tools in the digitalization process and are considered perspective for the digitalization of education. They are made up of technological, productive and communicative elements. This allows for the effective development of such a form of education as distance learning, which has become especially relevant in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Factors Affecting Intention to Use Blockchain Technology in Health Records in Saudi Arabia: A Case Study of the Eastern Province

The study aims to measure the impact of the combined independent factors (technical skill level of users, technical infrastructure, ease of use, security privacy, perceived benefit, and perceived risks) on the trend to use blockchain technology through the study of the attitude towards the use of blockchain technology. This study relies on the quantitative descriptive approach using a questionnaire. The sample population consisted of workers in the health sector in the eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the responsive sample amounted to n = 256. Results showed that there is a strong positive correlation at the significance level (α≤0.05) for the combined independent factors on the attitude towards the use of blockchain technology. The results of the model path quality efficiency test indicators also mostly showed ideal values. Thus, we conclude through these indicators that there is a positive impact of the combined independent factors (technical skill level of users, technical infrastructure, ease of use, security privacy, perceived benefit, perceived risks) on the orientation to use blockchain technology at the significance level (α≤0.05). The study recommends the need to continuously develop the technical infrastructure to keep pace with recent and rapid changes in information technology, such as health record systems, based on blockchain technology, which allows easy data sharing between healthcare service organizations and beneficiaries while maintaining the privacy and security of data in providing the best services.

KONSEP AKHLAK DALAM KITAB TANBIHUL MUGHTARRIN KARYA IMAM AS-SYA’RONI DAN RELEVANSINYA DENGAN PENDIDIKAN

The modern era is an era where there is a lot of development, be it cultural development, educational development or technology. Indonesian society still upholds manners in relationships as children behave to their elders and relationships between friends. But along with the pace of development of the times and rapid changes in information technology have changed most of the world's people, especially teenagers. To get or achieve good morals in accordance with religious guidance, everyone must go through a process called the process of moral education. The concept related to moral education in Islam is contained in one of the books entitled Tanbihul Mughtarrin. Starting from the above background, the author formulates the problem as follows: How is the concept of morals in the book of Tanbihul Mughtarrin by Imam Ash-Shafi'roni? and How is the relevance of the book of Tanbihul Mughtarrin to education? The type of research that the author uses is library research, namely: The research collected data and information using the book of Tanbihul Mughtarrin by Imam Ash-Shafi'roni, the translation of Tanbihul Mughtarrin, the book of morals (the characteristics of a perfect human being), as well as journals and scientific works from other figures directly related to the discussion in this study. Data analysis in this research is carried out using descriptive analysis, which is research with work steps to describe an object, phenomenon, social setting, and the target of the research is answered in narrative writing. This means that the data and facts that have been collected by qualitative researchers are in the form of words or pictures. After that, to get a conclusion, the author uses an inductive reasoning pattern, which is a pattern of thought that departs from a specific thought and then draws general generalizations. The essence of the concept of morality in the book of Tanbihul Mughtarrin by Imam Ash-Shafi'roni and its relevance to education. The book of Tanbihul Mughtarrin contains an invitation to get closer to Allah SWT, reviewing the noble ethics of the righteous salaf scholars, by quoting their maqolah-maqolah and also quoting the words of previous Prophets related to noble ethics. And in its relevance to moral education is everything and the position of morals above education, even the Prophet Muhammad was sent to perfect morals.

Reconceptualizing the organizational environment: a fluid dynamics perspective for turbulence

PurposeTo reconceptualize the organizational environment in a comprehensive manner, it is important to specify not just the velocity but also other aspects of turbulent environments. Concurrently, the purpose of this paper is to also propose that organizational adaptability and, particularly, the speed of adaptations are critical to moderate the impact of turbulence in the environment on organizational performance.Design/methodology/approachThis paper uses a conceptual methodology to fully specify turbulent environments and commensurate managerial response appropriate for such environments. Based on a perspective borrowed from the field of fluid dynamics used to specify the phenomenon of turbulence, the authors develop a conceptual model with research propositions. Four dimensions that describe turbulence in fluid flow when applied metaphorically offer a comprehensive view of the organizational environment.FindingsAn extreme, unanticipated, sudden onslaught resulting in a prolonged disrupted environment such as during the recent coronavirus crisis is best characterized as having caused turbulent environmental conditions. Management theories have addressed disruptions as high-velocity environments in the context of rapid changes in information technology. With a broadened conceptualization of the organizational environment to better capture extreme disruptions, the authors provide a comprehensive model appropriate for turbulent environmental conditions and offer research directions for scholarly pursuit.Originality/valueThis paper provides a new perspective from the physical sciences to better conceptualize organizational environments during extreme disruptions such as in turbulent environmental conditions.

Information Technology (IT) in Agriculture Sector: Issues and Challenges

Agriculture is the backbone of food production in every nation and the central element in economic development. Rapid changes in information technology (IT) have promised substantial potential benefits in return, especially for developing countries. The success of IT applications in agriculture is widely reported in numerous previous studies. Regardless of its success, the transformation has brought many issues and challenges for farming businesses. Thus, this article aimed to review the major issues and challenges of IT usage and how technology resources can address the needs of demand for food production. The findings reveal three main themes of issues and challenges, which are infrastructure, people, and organisation. Due to these issues, there is a greater need for changes in IT resources in agriculture to meet the food demand for the rapid growth of the population by the year 2050. A systematic review using existing literature has been used in writing this article.

Public Service Innovation Using Smart Governance

Purpose: This study determines the possibility of public service innovation to meet the rapid changes in information technology (IT) and the need for new governance by analyzing three cases in South Korea.
 Methodology: The Smart Governance-Decision Support Systems (SG-DSS) in this study is a new form that guarantees the voluntary participation of citizens by applying IT to governance. SG-DSS supports the demand response that fulfills universal values and decisions about priorities by collecting citizens’ needs. It also encourages citizens or stakeholders to participate in establishing implementation plans that are more specific and fit for reality, giving legitimacy to public service policies and developing them into a driving force.
 Findings: The three case studies on Korean public policies show how public opinions reflect public service policies. Therefore, the findings of this study could lay the foundation for customized public services based on intelligent citizen participation by overcoming the current limitations.
 Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: SG-DSS supports the demand response that fulfills universal values and decisions about priorities by collecting citizens’ needs. It also encourages citizens or stakeholders to participate in establishing implementation plans that are more specific and fit for reality, giving legitimacy to public service policies and developing them into a driving force. The core value of smart governance is to apply IT innovations such as big data and AI to public services. Furthermore, advanced technology enables the collection and application of actual public opinions, thereby improving public to be more objective and efficient.

Today, the business environment has become extremely dynamic due to rapid changes in information technology due to competition and the desire for efficiency. Designed to meet a wide range of economic requirements, new technologies offer flexibility, economies of scale, mobility and greater accuracy. The field of accounting is subject to this new era of change. The era of the Internet of Everything (IoE) is reshaping the profession of accountant according to the current needs of organizations. Artificial intelligence and process automation take on redundant and repetitive tasks performed by professionals, creating space for more complex activities such as analysis and business consulting. The article considers the main modern information technologies and the possibilities of their use in accounting. With the use of information technology, more opportunities have opened up in the field of accounting. The purpose of the article is to analyze the use of modern information technology in accounting, to study the features of their implementation and related risks for the company. Technological determinants of the development of the organization of accounting are: the spread of mobile communications; improving the provision of Internet access services; software development; conversion of smartphones, tablets into integrated devices, their active use in the workplace of accounting staff.The main advantages of such technologies as cloud computing platforms, big data, data mining and mobile technologies are identified. The main threats associated with the use of these technologies have also been identified. It is determined that new technologies, as well as the need for real-time reporting make changes in the profession of accountant. Novice accountants may lack the knowledge to efficiently obtain and process large amounts of data. This is due to the fact that the existing curricula of accounting faculties in Ukraine are not sufficiently focused on new technologies, such as cloud computing, Big Data or data mining. As a result, it can be difficult for accountants to secure confidential information using the latest technology.

Can Universities Improve their Competitiveness using Information Technology

Rapid changes in information technology happen in today's era of Society 5.0 and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Universities are expected to adapt to these changes to maintain their existence. This study examines the relationship between information technology use and organizational competitiveness in higher education. Quantitative data were collected from 29 private universities in Indonesia. Data analysis was performed using PLS-SEM. The results revealed that information technology, consisting of Information Quality, System Quality and Service Quality, had significant positive impact on the competitiveness of universities in Indonesia. This implies that it is necessary for universities to optimize the application of information technology in their business processes in order to improve competitiveness in the era of Society 5.0 and the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

URGENSI REKONSTRUKSI SOSIOLOGI BAGI KAJIAN CYBER SOCIETy

The rapid changes in information technology raises questions about the relevance of sociological theories in explaining the new reality of the cyber society. At least, there are two important questions that must be answered by sociology: first, what are the characteristics of cyber reality that become the new study area of sociology? Second, how should sociology be reconstructed to understand the new model of society in cyberspace? Through meta-theory study, this research takes two conclusions. First, virtual reality has a character that is different from real reality in daily life. But, frequently, virtual reality is experienced by individuals like everyday life reality, or even more real than real reality. Through the characteristics of simulation, interaction, artificiality, immersion, telepresence, networked communication and anonymity, virtual reality is transformed into a part of everyday life that cannot be separated from human life. Second, facing this new reality, sociology must adjust its scientific construction. Reconstruction of sociology can be initiated by defining what is actually the object of sociological studies on cyber society. Based on the three Ritzer paradigms, this study concludes that social fact, social definition and social behavior paradigms must be reinterpreted to be able to adjust to the latest developments in cyber society.

Directly repurposing waste optical discs with prefabricated nanogrooves as a platform for investigation of cell-substrate interactions and guiding neuronal growth

Due to rapid change in information technology, many consumer electronics become electronic waste which is the fastest-growing pollution problems worldwide. In fact, many discarded electronics with prefabricated micro/nanostructures may provide a good basis to fulfill special needs of other fields, such as tissue engineering, biosensors, and energy. Herein, to take waste optical discs as an example, we demonstrate that discarded electronics can be directly repurposed as highly anisotropic platforms for in vitro investigation of cell behaviors, such as cell adhesion, cell alignment, and cell-cell interactions. The PC12 cells cultured on biocompatible DVD polycarbonate layers with flat and grooved morphology show a distinct cell morphology, indicating the topographical cue of nanogrooves plays a key role in guidance of neurites growth. By further monitoring cell morphology and alignment of PC12 cells cultured on the DVD nanogrooves at different differentiation times, we find that cell contact interaction with nanotopographies is dynamically adjustable with differentiation time from initial disorder to final order. This study adds a new dimension to not only solving the problems of supply of materials and fabrication of nanopatterns in neural tissue engineering, but may also offering a new promising way of waste minimization or reuse for environmental protection.

An analysis of the impact of liquidity constraints on new financial product development: case of ZB bank

The study investigated the impact of liquidity constraints on development of new financial products in commercial banks. The descriptive research design was adopted and a case study of ZB Bank employed. A census sampling technique was adopted and questionnaires and interviews were self-administered by the researchers. Research outcomes proved that liquidity constraints are a major impediment to firm`s innovativeness. Financial project innovations are either not started, delayed or abandoned, but mostly the distribution and delivery of developed services for financial products are highly affected. The results of this study have contributed to existing literature in revealing that financial regulation tends to be another constraint for commercial banks discouraging product innovations. Rapid technological changes seem to fuel the need for new software and hardware for new product development thus necessitating the employment of a skilled workforce for new product development. Furthermore, customer demands are changing on a daily basis due to rapid changes in information technology thus making customer maintenance difficult for commercial banks. Based on the data gathered, the researchers concluded that there is a negative impact on new financial product development due to liquidity constraints. In such constrained times, we recommend that commercial banks should emphasize more the best technique suitable for successful new product development or invest their available funds in the development thereof.

A cloud-based teaching framework: an introduction

One of the most significant discussions in education and information technology is cloud computing. Over the past six years, researchers have shown an increased interest in cloud computing for educational contexts. However, these rapid changes in information technology have a serious effect on teaching frameworks. Concerns have been raised about how cloud computing can be integrated with teaching frameworks and if it can improve teaching. In this paper, the Danielson Teaching Framework, which focuses on key aspects of teaching, was used. This framework has divided complex teaching activities into components such as communicating with students, students engagement and others which all might be improved by cloud computing; using cloud computing has capability to enhance performance of teaching. This paper seeks to address the domains of teaching frameworks and introduce an initial version of a cloud–based teaching framework that considers cloud computing can provides insight to future research on teaching frameworks.

Cloud Computing for Teaching Practice

Recently researchers have shown an increased interest in cloud computing technology. It is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore cloud computing technology in education context. However rapid changes in information technology are having a serious effect on teaching framework designs. So far, however, there has been little discussion about cloud computing benefits in domains of teaching frameworks which propels us to study and redesign teaching frameworks considering cloud computing. The purpose of this paper is to review recent research into cloud computing and features which can be improved with this new technology. This paper studied several researches through literature to determine the main impact of cloud computing on “planning and preparation” and “instruction” domains as two main domains of teaching framework. Light will be then shed on the impact and potential benefits of cloud computing on teaching framework. The paper closes by proposing to design an evaluation table based on cloud computing artifacts to enhance teaching practice and highlights its offerings for educational institutions.

Effective Attributes of Successful Strategic Information Systems Planning for Public Organizations in Middle East-Preliminary Study

Rapid changes in information technology and business environment challenge the ability of organizations to undertake strategic planning for information systems and information technologies. Strategic information systems planning requires experienced human resources and growing heavy investments. Strategic information systems planning has turned into one of the top issues currently facing top management. Organizations are seeking ways to improve strategic information systems planning. This preliminary study was an attempt to identify effective attributes that may contribute to Strategic information systems planning success in state organizations in Middle East countries. The key attributes that may affect Strategic information systems planning success were identified by reviewing earlier research studies. Confirmatory factor analysis and fitness test were performed on the study conceptual model by applying constructive formulation modeling technique and using LISREL software and the results indicated fitness of the conceptual model. Identified attributes were grouped into three classifications: (1) General organizational attributes including change management and information systems maturity; (2) Interactive organizational attributes including top management participation and commitment and chief executive officer and chief information officer relationship and (3) Strategic information technology/information systems planning dimensions comprising of environmental assessment and strategic alignment. Three primary hypotheses and six secondary hypotheses of this preliminary Study will be examined the significance of the relationship between independent variables (effective attributes) and strategic information systems planning.
