Dielectric constants and loss factors have been measured for dilute solutions of methyl poly-methacrylates in toluene and benzene. The molecular weight varied from 14.000 to 1.750.000, the frequencies used ranged from 0.1 to 35 megacycles, the temperatures from −30° to 25°C. It has been shown that: 1°) The critical frequency and the free energy of activation were practically independant of the degree of polymerisation. 2°) The entropy of activation was small and negative. 3°) The static dielectric constant was, for a given concentration, independant of molecular weight. 4°) The mean quadratic dipole moment was proportional to the square root of the molecular weight of the polymer.
