Formation of the All-Russian civil identity in the territories liberated during the SVO: risks and prospects

The article "Formation of the All-Russian civil identity in the territories liberated during the SVO: risks and prospects" is devoted to the actual problem of socio-psychological integration of residents of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the all-Russian space in conjugation of this problem with such factors as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social stress disorder (SSR). The authors of the article believe that to solve this and other problems, it is necessary to apply a special theological and psychological approach. This approach is associated with the actualization in psychological reality and with the help of psychological tools of creative attitudes based on traditional values for Russia. This article presents the author's material based on the experience of working in the territories liberated during the SVO and included in Russia (Mariupol), which allows conceptually assessing the risks and prospects for the formation of an all-Russian civil identity in these territories. According to the authors, they should be considered in the context of extrapolation to the entire territory of Russia from the point of view of both eliminating the consequences of social stress disorders and protecting the traditional values of domestic civilization. The unique concept of including citizens of the "new territories" in the general field of Russian identity in the context of overcoming the consequences of PTSD and SSR, as well as extrapolating the experience gained to work on the prevention of extremism throughout the Russian Federation is presented.

Primary school of Ukraine in conditions of cognitive war: search for new ideas (from insight to technology)

The given article deals with the problems and challenges of the primary education of schoolchildren under cognitive war conditions. It carries out interdisciplinary neuro-psychological and pedagogy approaches to education, training and upbringing of young children in the context of overcoming the barriers of stress, moral losses, bombing, destruction, etc. caused by the war. The theoretical and methodological issues of distance and mixed educational process of primary schoolchildren were analyzed: goals, principles, structure of educational trajectory, technology, study and teaching strategies, expected outcomes for further development of pupils were also identified. With this paper, we aimed to identify patterns and trends in research on distance education of schoolchildren (aged 6-9 years old) during the war escalation. We synthesized the evidence for a range of less probed and researched psychological and methodological tools in our practical work focused on formation of competencies of creative perception and methods and techniques of associative thinking of younger generation in a cognitive fight in Ukraine.

Prevention of Pregnancy Loss: Combining Progestogen Treatment and Psychological Support

Pregnancy loss can be defined as a loss before either 20 or 24 weeks of gestation (based on the first day of the last menstrual period) or the loss of an embryo or fetus less than 400 g in weight if the gestation age is unknown. Approximately 23 million pregnancy losses occur worldwide every year, equating to 15-20% of all clinically recognized pregnancies. A pregnancy loss is usually associated with physical consequences, such as early pregnancy bleeding ranging in severity from spotting to hemorrhage. However, it can also be associated with profound psychological distress, which can be felt by both partners and may include feelings of denial, shock, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and suicide. Progesterone plays a key part in the maintenance of a pregnancy, and progesterone supplementation has been assessed as a preventative measure in patients at increased risk of experiencing a pregnancy loss. The primary objective of this piece is to assess the evidence for various progestogen formulations in the treatment of threatened and recurrent pregnancy loss, postulating that an optimal treatment plan would preferably include a validated psychological support tool as an adjunct to appropriate pharmacological treatment.

The detection of mental health conditions by incorporating external knowledge

Mental health conditions have become a growing problem; it increases the likelihood of premature death for patients, and imposes a high economic burden on the world. However, some studies have shown that if patients are detected and treated early, the social impact and economic costs of mental illness can be reduced. With the popularity of social media, people are sharing their feelings on it, which allows data from social media to be used to study mental health conditions. However, past research had been limited to the optimization of the model or using different types of data available on social media, resulting in models that only rely on data to make decisions. Moreover, people judge things not only by the data collected, but also by background knowledge. Therefore, we considered the diagnostic process of doctors and combined the knowledge of psychological screening tools and diagnostic criteria into the model. In addition, we also tested the effect of combining general knowledge. We retrieve the top m most relevant knowledge segments for each user’s post, and then put both into the prediction model. Experimental results show that our method outperforms previous studies, and the F1-score is increased more than 10% in some situations. Moreover, because the knowledge segments are automatically retrieved, our method does not require additional manual labeling, and the knowledge set can be freely adjusted. These show that our method can help detect mental health conditions and can be continuously optimized in practice.

Everybody Copes: An Interprofessional Workshop on Stress, Coping, and Helping Primary Care Patients Manage Medical Stressors.

The value of psychological principles has become apparent in medical settings, especially with the rise of patient-centered care. We aimed to provide a curriculum informing medical providers about the theoretical basis and clinical utility of the social-cognitive model of stress and coping. This workshop was delivered to an interprofessional team of faculty and trainees. Our initial pedagogical approach was to relate the concepts of cognitive appraisals and coping strategies to participants' own stress responses. We then used didactic presentation and small-group activities to explore ways to promote adaptive coping with patients to improve health outcomes. Learners participated in a mindfulness exercise, conceptualized coping strategies given a hypothetical case scenario, and, in small groups, role-played a patient encounter to construct an effective coping repertoire for the patient. Participants completed a prework self-assessment and workshop evaluation form. The 2.5-hour workshop had 48 participants from five professions (medicine, education, physician assistant, pharmacology, psychology). We received 35 evaluations (73% response rate). Learners reported increased real-world skills (M = 8.0 out of 10) and feeling better prepared for working in interprofessional settings (M = 7.6 out of 10). Qualitative feedback suggested that participants recognized the importance of individual differences in coping with stress and felt they could categorize strategies into emotion- or problem-focused coping. This workshop provided participants with basic knowledge about the social-cognitive model of stress and coping and allowed them to practice newly learned skills in a role-play as an interprofessional medical care team.

Mental health problems are a significant cause of disability in children and adolescents. The most common are anxiety, depression, eating disorders and somatic symptom disorder. All these disorders have a negative impact on the child/adolescent functioning and they may lead to more severe psychiatric illnesses. For these reasons, paediatricians should be able to identify the patients with high risk of psychological dysfunction, by knowing the right questions to ask and using some simple psychological assessment tools (Paediatric symptom checklist, Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, HEADS-ED) that can help patients to receive the psychological/neuropsychiatric support they need as soon as possible.

Women infertility and common mental disorders: A cross-sectional study from North India.

Infertility is a very distressing condition. It is often associated with long-term stress, which can emerge as anxiety and depression. To understand the effect of socio-demographic variables, reproductive trajectories, and lifestyle variables on stress, depression, and anxiety independently and to understand the relationship of psychological variables with each other among infertile and fertile women. This cross-sectional study recruited 500 women which included 250 primary infertile cases and 250 age-matched fertile controls of the age group 22-35 years. A pretested modified interview schedule was administered which included demographic variables, lifestyle variables, and reproductive trajectories. In addition, psychological tools like PSS, GAD-7, and PHQ-9 were used to collect the data pertaining to Stress, anxiety, and depression, respectively. Data analysis was performed with the statistical software version SPSS, IBM version 24. Infertile women are more prone to various psychological disorder (stress, anxiety and depression). None of the demographic and lifestyle variables were associated with stress, anxiety, and depression among infertile women. Only reproductive trajectories were found to be causing stress, anxiety, and depression respectively among infertile women. In addition, stress is leading to both anxiety and depression among infertile women but only to depression in fertile women. Infertile women should be counselled by medical experts regarding reproductive trajectories. Infertile couples should be guided and counselled to incorporate mental health screening and treatment in their routine check-up.

АНАЛІТИЧНИЙ ОПИС ТЕОРЕТИЧНОГО ЕТАПУ СТВОРЕННЯ ПСИХОЛОГІЧНОГО ІНСТРУМЕНТАРІЮ – МЕТАФОРИЧНИХ АСОЦІАТИВНИХ КАРТ "МАСКА" ДЛЯ РОБОТИ З ВІЙСЬКОВОСЛУЖБОВЦЯМИ (КОМБАТАНТАМИ) ЗБРОЙНИХ СИЛ УКРАЇНИ

The article presents analytical review of theoretical phase of psychological techniques development – metaphorical association cards "Masc" to work with servicemen (combatants) of the Ukrainian armed forces. The main purpose of the tools abovementioned is to increase efficiency of psychological support of servicemen (combatants) of the Ukrainian armed forces (including those who take part in combat actions in the combat area). Metaphorical association cards provide arrangement of constructive dialog between a serviceman and a psychologist that makes possible to optimise time for getting into psychological contact. Metaphorical associational cards are helpful both in performing of psychognosis of servicemen (individually and in groups) promptly and enabling to resolve numerous problems (normalize negative emotional conditions, increase motivation for activity, contribute to resolve conflict situations inside of unit) etc. Use of these cards is more practical because of massive refusals of servicemen to perform tests' tasks with traditional methods of psychognosis, i.e. survey, blank test procedures, computer-based automated psychological procedures, etc. The following results were obtained from theoretical phase of research: 1) peculiarities of metaphorical associational cards were defined, they were recognised as an active psychological tool. Procedure for their employment was determined. Basic recommendations for their development were formed; 2) particularities and advantages of Masc therapy method were defined, and recommendations for it practical use were developed; 3) advantages of both methods combination – Masc therapy method and metaphorical associational cards (MAC) use were established. Creation of psychological tools MAC "Masc" was the result of this research, it is designed for psychological work with servicemen (combatants) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; 4) the basic list of problems was defined, that is the object to find solution for them by mean of abovementioned psychological tools. It is based on analytical description of part-time groups of psychological aid that accompany Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the battle area from the beginning of full-scale invasion; 5) the procedure for development of metaphorical association cards for psychological work with combatants of Ukrainian armed forces was created.

Genetic predictors of interpersonal dependence

For several decades, numerous scientific discussions about the definition and essence of the codependency phenomenon have been ongoing. At the same time, some researchers note a close relationship between this phenomenon and the concept of interpersonal dependence, considering its destructive and positive impact on personality. The relevance and value of the conducted research lies in the fact that despite numerous studies, including interdisciplinary ones, the question about the nature of interpersonal dependence remains open. The aim is to study the differences in levels of interpersonal dependence in different polymorphic variants of catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) and dopamine D2 receptor (DRD2) genes. An interdisciplinary molecular genetic and psychological study of 132 women with drug addiction in remission for more than two years was conducted. As a psychological tool was used, “The Interpersonal Dependency Inventory” developed by R. Hirschfield and adapted by O.P. Makushina was used. For determining the polymorphic variants of candidate genes, a method of isolating genomic DNA from buccal epithelial cells was used. The candidate genes considered were genotypes and alleles of the neurotransmitter pathways COMT and DRD2. For statistical processing of the obtained data, the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-test was used. Substantial differences were found between the levels of interpersonal dependence in the genotypes VV and VM of the catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) enzyme; a trend of statistically significant differences was detected between the levels of interpersonal dependence in the genotypes CT and TT of the DRD2 gene. The features identified during the study should be taken into account in the process of carrying out psychological and preventive measures for people with addictive behaviour.

Живая субъективность и культурно-исторический метод: границы применимости

Background. Any method of research or influence has limits of applicability. Determining the limits of applicability of the cultural-historical approach will reveal new phenomena in the study of living subjectivity that cannot be investigated within the framework of the cultural-historical approach to the psyche. Objective of the study was to determine the limits of applicability of the cultural-historical method and to describe new mental phenomena, the study of which requires fundamentally different methodological approaches.Methods. The material is the author’s and his colleagues’ long-term research in the field of functioning and development of consciousness. The method involved logical analysis when comparing the cultural-historical approach to psyche and the approach based on intuitive-reflective self-observation of living subjectivity. Results. The analysis showed that cultural-historical method and socio-cultural method derived from it, aim at managing subjectivity with the help of objectified structures of the psyche — sign-symbolic formations such as speech, logical thinking, scientific concepts, social norms or culturally developed perceptual patterns. At the same time, the “fossils of living subjectivity” — symbols and signs, scientific concepts, schemes, algorithms, norms, theories, and others — are “psychological tools” that mediate the operation of living subjectivity. All directions in Russian psychology within this approach originated from this approach — the assertion of the leading role of speech in the development of the higher mental functions (HMF) by L.S. Vygotsky, the concept of the orienting basis of action (IBA) by P.Ya. Galperin, school programs for teaching concepts by D.B. Elkonin and V.V. Davydov, neuropsychological methods by A.R. Luria, studies of the development of voluntary movements by A.V. Zaporozhets and others. All these approaches worked; however, the living subjectivity remained a mystery. On the contrary, the method applicable to the study of living subjectivity can be called the method of “releasing impact” — an experiment based on self-observation and self-report in conditions where the subject can freely structure reality. Conclusion. The cultural-historical method is effective in teaching ready-made knowledge at school, in developing skills, restoring lost cognitive functions in patients, or shaping cognitive and socio-moral forms of behavior based on external control. However, this method is not applicable to living subjectivity — experiences, the motivational-semantic sphere based on the magical laws of participation, emotional sphere and creative thinking, since this method considers a person as an object. The principles of studying living subjectivity are proposed, practical approaches to influence living subjectivity, as well as the contradictions and dangers associated with them are analyzed.

ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, STRESS, AND COPING STRATEGIES, IN ROMANIAN STUDENTS AFTER THE OUTBREAK OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Objectives. The outbreak of the SarsCov-2 virus pandemic in March 2020, produced essential changes in the way of life for students in different countries. Each person has developed their own personal coping systems to adapt to the times. The purpose was to assess the magnitude of impact produced in behavioral and emotional life dimensions at the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown. Material and methods. Collecting data was based on a comprehensive online questionnaire, addressed to 19-25 years old, master’s, and bachelor’s students in Romania. The questionnaire includes standard psychological evaluation tools such as Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scales, DASS – 21R, Cognitive-Emotional Coping Assessment Questionnaire (CERQ), and Strategic Approaches to Coping Scale (SACS), but also a series of demographic indicators. Statistic analyse was based on ANOVA, Levene Test, T-Test, and Pearson Correlations. Results. The results revealed some differences between coping strategies male participants would choose, and those preferred by female participants, and small variances between age groups. The most commonly found coping strategy was social support. Maladaptive and passive coping strategies positively correlated to all mental health indicators. Self-blame (p<.001), rumination, catastrophizing (p<.001), and blaming others correlate positively with all DASS-21R subscales, depression, anxiety, and stress as well. Positive refocus negatively correlated to depression (p=.020), anxiety (p=.009), and stress (p=.004). Conclusions. At the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown most of the participants have chosen prosocial coping strategies. The impact of the pandemic on Romanian students was rather mild. Active coping strategies predict more adaptive behavior and feelings. The findings of the current study can be expanded (to some extent) to non-pandemic situations also. Translation and Validation of the Arabic Version of the Athlete Psychological Strain Questionnaire.

The international sports community is becoming more proactive in clinical mental health practice and research. An athlete-specific psychological distress screening tool can identify potential mental health illness. The Athlete Psychological Strain Questionnaire (APSQ) is a simple screening tool for detecting early signs of athlete-specific strain and related mental health concerns. We evaluated the internal consistency and reliability of the translated and culturally adjusted Arabic version of the APSQ (APSQ-Ar) with Arabic-speaking elite athletes. The final translation underwent standard forward and backward translation, an inspection by a team of experts, and then preliminary testing. The APSQ-Ar was cross-culturally validated and then assessed for internal consistency and reliability among (n = 98) Arabic-speaking athletes. There were no problems with the patients' understanding or interpretation of the items on the APSQ-Ar translation. The intraclass correlation value was .93 (95% confidence interval, .89-.95), and the mean difference was 2.4 with a minimal detectable change of 5.12, demonstrating strong test-retest reliability. Moreover, Cronbach alpha showed excellent internal consistency (.76). The APSQ-Ar was demonstrated to be good, reliable, and internally consistent. With APSQ-Ar, sports medicine professionals in Arabic-speaking countries will be able to identify psychological distress and symptoms in athletes and, as a result, provide them with mental health support.

ВЛИЯНИЕ ВНЕШНЕЙ КОГНИТИВНОЙ ОЦЕНКИ НА ИНТЕНСИВНОСТЬ НАВЯЗЧИВЫХ ВОСПОМИНАНИЙ

Background. Symptoms of compulsive repetition or “intrusion” (unwanted thoughts, [ ashbacks, images, disturbing dreams, nightmares) are o\ en considered as a distinctive feature of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Cognitive models claim that PTSD symptoms are stimulated and become chronic due to an overly negative assessment of the traumatic experience and/or its consequences. ] e relevance of the study is due to the possibility of using external assessments as an early psychological aid tool. Objective. ] e work aims to repeat the study of the University of New South Wales (Australia) on the degree of in[ uence caused by various types of external cognitive assessment of obsessive memories on the frequency and intensity of their subsequent occurrence. ] e research targets to create a precedent in Russia for the study of traumatic stress in the laboratory. Sample. 30 healthy psychology students participated in the study. ] eir stress level results did not exceed the level of normative values. Methods. ] e main method of research was the experiment. Participants who received one of two preliminary instructions giving either a benevolent or a control assessment of obsessive memories were o^ ered to watch a Z lm with scenes of a real car accident. Having watched a traumatic Z lm, the participants solved a problem on cognitive interference. ] en the presence/absence and intensity of intrusive memories were recorded with the use of the Intrusion subscale of the Traumatic Event Impact Assessment Scale (IES-R) and two questions on the beliefs about intrusions. Results. ] e study showed that watching a traumatic Z lm causes an equally low level of obsessive memories in groups with positive and control instructions. Conclusion. ] e results of two studies (University of New South Wales and Lomonosov Moscow State University) showed similar trends regarding the level of intensity of obsessive memories for groups with benevolent and control instructions. ] e study provides initial causal evidence that a maladaptive external assessment can enhance the occurrence of obsessive memories, despite the fact that a benevolent or control interpretation of symptoms has no such side e^ ect. ] is observation is important to take into account when conducting psychoeducation. ] e practice of studying traumatic stress in the laboratory is evaluated as positive and recommended for use in Russia.

The Emotional Intelligence Development in the Context of a Problem-based Approach to Intellectual Activity

The article shows that the considering of emotional intelligence as one of the types of general and single intelligence, leads us to the most fundamental point - is the tasks it solves. Therefore, the use of the problem situation tasks in emotional intelligence development in adolescence is a prerequisite for the actualization of individual emotional and cognitive activities. The paper also represents the theoretical and methodological analysis of the psychological foundations of individual emotional intelligence genesis in early adolescence, which became the basis for the development of the author’s concept of this study. Thus, the theoretical model of the emotional intelligence genesis in early adolescence is formulated and substantiated; the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the structure, levels and features of emotional intelligence development of young people is made; the system of psychological factors, mechanisms and laws of emotional intelligence genesis in early adolescence is determined. The materials of the article can be used to solve practical problems of modern institutions of general secondary, vocational and higher education, in particular, to diagnose the level of emotional intelligence of pupils and/or students, to work out effective programs of psychological support in early personality development; to elaborate the individual programs for the emotional intelligence development. Theoretical provisions and research results can be used for the studying process in general secondary education, vocational training and/or higher education institutions, as well as in the psychological education practice and social and psychological centres for the development and implementation of psychological support programmes for both personal counselling and educational process. The main attention in emotional intelligence studies is focused on its psychological structure and relationships with other intrapersonal manifestations. This trend has led to contradictions between ideas about the place of emotional intelligence in the structure of personality and understanding of structural and functional features of emotional intelligence as a metacognitive construct, as well as between criteria for determining a sufficient level of emotional intelligence for mental development and scientifically reasonable psychological and pedagogical tools of emotional intelligence formation, functioning and development. However, the problem area remains the question of the peculiarities of emotional intelligence development at different age stages of individual mental development. Problems of the emotional intelligence genesis in adolescence have not been studied, respectively, there is a lack of clear understanding of the psychological conditions and specifics of the emotional intelligence development in adolescence

Integration of mental health and quality of life screening tools in an inflammatory bowel disease-specific electronic medical record (Crohn Colitis Care): process and early outcomes.

Psychological problems are prevalent in people with inflammatory bowel diseases but are not routinely addressed. To improve recognition, three psychological screening tools were integrated into clinical management software (Crohn Colitis Care). In the first 6 months, completion rates varied between participating sites, and approximately 23-34% of respondents scored in moderate or higher ranges for psychological distress. Evaluation of the clinical utility of the module to improve patient outcomes is recommended.

Identifying predictors of generalized anxiety among student pharmacists in response to the COVID-19 pandemic

IntroductionTo explore the prevalence of generalized anxiety (GA) among doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) students at an academic institution during the COVID-19 pandemic and use Alderfer's existence, relatedness, and growth (ERG) theory to elucidate which unsatisfied needs are predictive of higher levels of GA symptoms. MethodsThis was a cross-sectional, single-site survey administered to first- through fourth-year PharmD students from October 2020 to January 2021. The survey tool included demographic information, the validated Counseling Center Assessment of Psychological Symptoms-62 tool, and nine additional questions developed to assess Alderfer's ERG theory of needs. Predictors of GA symptoms were evaluated using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, correlation analysis, and multivariable analysis. ResultsA total of 214 of 513 students completed the survey (42%) . Among students, 49.01% had no-clinical, 31.31% had low-clinical, and 19.63% had high-clinical GA symptoms. The relatedness needs, which included feeling disliked, socially disconnected, and misunderstood had the strongest correlation (65%) to GA symptoms and was most associated with GA symptoms (β = 0.56, P < .001). Students who did not exercise experienced more symptoms of GA (P = .008). ConclusionsOver 50% of PharmD students met clinical cut-offs for GA symptoms and the relatedness need was most predictive of GA symptoms among students. Future student-centered interventions should aim to create opportunities that increase social connections, build resilience, and provide psychosocial support.

Work-life balance initiatives - A moderator for employee mental peace and performance

Nowadays, mental peace is the key to performance, especially after the Covid pandemic, and work-life balance is the path to mental peace. To accomplish it, initiatives are needed to moderate employee behaviour in such a way as to give them work and life satisfaction for better work performance. With this objective, the WLB initiatives have been analyzed in this research as a moderator variable to see the effect on performance and how these initiatives boost mental peace and satisfaction. For this analysis; data were collected from different educational bodies in Noida (N=254 employees-from 50 different educational bodies), and the results showed a strong co-relationship between WLB initiatives and the performance of faculties due to the strong moderating effect of WLB initiatives and high satisfaction indicated the effective use of WLB initiatives as a psychological tool for mental peace. SPSS 26, Excel, and PLS software were used to determine the association.

Uncertainty creates difficulties that arise in society in determining the nature of scientific knowledge, the image of a person and the self-determination of values. The solution to this problem can be determined in accordance with the existential picture of the world based on the recognition of uncertainty as the basic condition of being. Recognition of uncertainty and tolerance to it is a condition and a sign of psychological maturity and health. The article analyzes the concept of tolerance to uncertainty as one of the main characteristics of the modern world and attempts by various authors to develop and implement a psychometric scale to measure tolerance to uncertainty as a stable personal identity by the method of subjective self-assessment. The article presents adapted Kazakh-language versions of the methods of D.McLane “Scale of Tolerance To Uncertainty” and S. Badner “Tolerance and Intolerance To Uncertainty”. The purpose of the study is to form a Kazakh-language version of the psychodiagnostic tools used in English and Russian, to contribute to the replenishment of the psychodiagnostic fund in the Kazakh language with reliable and valid methods. In the course of the study, the structure of tolerance to uncertainty is analyzed and the characteristics of the corresponding constructs are given. The scale of tolerance to uncertainty by D. McLane and the methodology of “Tolerance and Tolerance To Uncertainty” by S. Badner has been translated into Kazakh, a number of psychological tools in Kazakh have been supplemented with a psychometric questionnaire, the level of reliability of which (according to the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient) has been confirmed by the SPSS program. These psychodiagnostic techniques can be used by Kazakh-speaking scientists, psychologists, educational psychologists in the study of tolerance to uncertainty.

Professional Stress in Law Enforcement: Foreign and Domestic Research Experience

The object of the study is professional stress, which is understood as a particular variant of the general adaptation syndrome, which is a functional state associated with the performance of professional activity, expressed in mental and physical reactions to stressful work situations that arise under the influence of emotionally negative and extreme factors. The subject of the study is the categories of professional stress analysis of Russian police officers. The purpose of the study is a comparative analysis of the experience of foreign and domestic studies of professional stress in law enforcement; identification of categories of analysis of professional stress on a sample of Russian police officers. In the empirical part, a content analysis of respondents' responses to a subjective description of professional stress situations is carried out. The main conclusions of the study are: 1. The topic of professional stress in the activities of law enforcement agencies has received quite a lot of attention in both foreign and domestic studies, but they are of a private detailed nature, comprehensive studies, there is no integration of results. 2. The efforts of foreign researchers are aimed at developing trainings and training programs for coping with stress and rehabilitation of both active and retired officers. Domestic researchers propose to introduce stress resistance trainings already in the process of training cadets and undergoing initial police training, which is quite appropriate. For current employees, domestic researchers suggest using general psychological tools for psychocorrection of stress, but it should be adapted to the specifics of the professional activities of police officers. 3. The conducted content analysis of Russian police officers' perceptions of professional situations that cause stress revealed 8 key units of analysis: competencies; work parameters; social interaction; working conditions and organization; threat to personal safety; imbalance; dissatisfaction; personal fears and worries. The high role of personal subjective perception of professional stress situations is illustrated. 4. Promising directions for further research of the topic are highlighted
