Cattle Fattening Program: The Effectiveness of Zakat Community Development

Despite many studies on productive Zakat, the focus on the effectiveness of mustahiq empowerment programs has been limited. This study looks at how effective the Zakat community development-based cattle fattening program is towards the empowerment of Zakat recipients. The study measures four indicators of program effectiveness: program target accuracy, program socialization, program objectives, and program monitoring. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The study found that the program was good at targeting the right people, but it wasn't socialized enough. The program also fell short of its objectives because the recipients weren't making enough money to become donors themselves yet. However, the program was well-monitored, with regular check-ins to make sure it was on track. The study suggests that clearer standards are needed to increase the benefits received by Zakat recipients This study has practical implications for productive Zakat distribution policies, as clear benchmarks are required for implementing programs that increase Zakat recipients' benefits.

Optimization Of Productive Zakat As An Effort To Empower The Economy Of The People

The problem of poverty occurs due to social inequality between the capable population and the underprivileged population, besides that the lack of awareness between residents to help each other is also one of the causes of poverty in Indonesia. In overcoming the problem of poverty, productive zakat is considered capable of empowering the economy of Muslims. The research method used in this study is a literature study study using data from journals, other reliable sources.The results of this study show that productive zakat distributionin the form of business capital is one of the efforts to empower the people's economy, so that mustahiks who initially only depended on zakat funds can make their own money from capital obtained from productive zakat. One of the purposes of productive zakat distribution is to change the position of mustahik to muzakki. Therefore, in the future, it is hoped that the distribution of productive zakat will continue to be carried out and improved so that it can be distributed to more mustahiks who are entitled and have the potential so that the problem of poverty that has always haunted can be eliminated immediately.

IMPLEMENTASI MAQASHID SYARIAH PADA ZAKAT PRODUKTIF DI BAZNAS DKI JAKARTA DAN LAZ DOMPET DHUAFA

The aim of this research is to find out the embodiment of Maqashid Syariah in Productive Zakat at BAZNAS DKI Jakarta and LAZ Dompet Dhuafa. Maqashid Syari'ah perspective (objectives and purposes of sharia), obliging productive zakat is valid and appropriate. Because it is more in line with the objectives of the zakat law, which is basically taken from the rich and given to the poor, this is the basic reason why productive zakat is required because it is in accordance with maqaid syari'ah and also to create a sense of justice in society. The provision of productive zakat is carried out by providing guidance and assistance to mustahik so that their business activities can run smoothly besides that BAZNAS DKI Jakarta and LAZ Dompet Dhuafa must also provide spiritual and intellectual religious guidance so that the quality of faith and Islam of mustahik increases.

Mosque-Based Community Empowerment Model Through Productive Zakat Distribution BAZNAS East Java Province

Distribution of productive zakat by providing working capital assistance in the form of goats for mosque congregations is one of the strategies for community economic empowerment that is very interesting to study. The very large number of mosques and prayer rooms is the reason for the importance of Baznas partnering with mosques in managing zakat through community empowerment mechanisms. This study aims: (1) To determine the role of BAZNAS in community economic empowerment in East Java. (2) To create a model of economic empowerment based on mosque congregations through the distribution of productive zakat BAZNAS East Java Province. This type of research is qualitative and the approach used is Community Development. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and FGD, to determine the validity of the data using data triangulation and adequacy of references. While the data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are (1) Baznas has a very important role in helping the government work together to alleviate poverty through productive zakat distribution programs through the mechanism of community economic empowerment. (2) Community Development Model is carried out through problem identification, conducting training and mentoring, providing revolving working capital and conducting regular supervision. The mosque-based community economic empowerment program through the distribution of productive zakat should be duplicated by all Baznas and mosques in Indonesia. To achieve this, sufficient and qualified human resources are needed to manage and supervise. Mazawa Study Program can be a partner in collaboration with Baznas in initiating and assisting mosque-based economic empowerment programs

PRODUCTIVE ZAKAT TOWARDS ECONOMIC ARMALAH IMPROVEMENT OF MAKASSAR CITY COMMUNITY IN YATIM MANDIRI MAKASSAR

LAZNAS Yatim Mandiri Makassar distributes productive zakat to overcome economic disparities or poverty that occurs to the armalah (widow) of the Antang community, sub-district It is hoped that at Manggala, the underprivileged family will become more prosperous and able to be independent. This type of research is a case study with a qualitative approach, primary data sources are sourced from program staff and branch heads and admin and financial staff of LAZNAS Yatim Mandiri Makassar and armah as members of the BISA program (Bunda Mandiri Sejahtera). While secondary data sources are data sourced from institutions including annual reports on institutional profiles, institutional vision and mission, institutional programs, and journals used to support and complete primary data. The productive zakat management model of the Bunda BISA program has been proven to have the effect of increasing the economy of the community of Antang sub-district Manggala Makassar City and the gifts given are the provision of business capital, spiritual guidance, and providing knowledge related to managing a business properly and providing necessities to Armala every month, with this effort they can fulfill their life needs.

Contextualization of Productive Zakat in the Modern Era to Reduce Poverty

This study aims to analyze empirically whether productive zakat has an impact on community economic development. Poverty is a social problem that has not been resolved and continues to emerge along with the times. Thus, the existence of productive zakat in the form of business capital can be a solution as a form of contextualization. To develop the economy, it is necessary to develop the distribution of zakat to micro, small and medium enterprises so that there is cooperation and synergy between individuals. Using a qualitative method by taking primary sources on productive zakat at the zakat institution al-Hidayah Sidoarjo on mustahiq income. The findings show that mustahiq's income is affected by the utilization of productive zakat with a large influence contribution of 41%. This can be seen from the development of income and meeting the needs of mustahiq after participating in the productive zakat empowerment program and the LAZ al-Hidayah Sidoarjo waqf can be used for business capital.

EKSPLORASI PROBLEMATIKA DAN MODEL ALTERNATIF OPTIMALISASI ZAKAT DI INDONESIA ERA PEREKONOMIAN MODERN

Even though the potential for zakat in Indonesia presents an astonishing figure of 317 trillion rupiahs per year, Indonesia still has not been able to solve the problem of poverty that haunts the country. This study aims to comprehensively examine the problems and smart solutions to find a new zakat optimization model that is properly implemented to reduce poverty and unemployment in Indonesia. This research is field research using a descriptive qualitative approach design. The research findings reveal several problems that impede the optimal realization of zakat; zakat is not the main priority of government policy, low literacy of the zakat community, the majority of the utilization of zakat is consumptive oriented rather than product-oriented, lack of public trust in the government, low quality of human resources who are professional and competent in the field of zakat, the calculation of zakat is not correct, and negative public perceptions of the zakat profession. The zakat optimization model that can be implemented includes; education on the essence of the zakat paradigm, empowering muzaki, increasing the accountability of zakat management institutions, integrating professional zakat and income tax, innovating productive zakat distribution mechanisms, and building community and government synergy. The results of research findings can become innovations and material for evaluating policies in updating the progress of zakat in Indonesia both at national, provincial or district, or regional central institutions.

Akselerasi Literasi Zakat Produktif sebagai Upaya Pembangunan Ekonomi Masyarakat Kecamatan Muara Telang Kabupaten Banyuasin

The potential of zakat with the reality of zakat has really happened, one of the problems is the acceleration of zakat literacy which is low in public understanding. This study attempts to examine the level of zakat literacy in the scope of the community, namely in Muara Telang District, Banyuasin Regency. The focus of this research is the level of people's basic understanding of the obligation to pay zakat. In this study used qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. This effort was made to explore phenomena in society as sources of data objectively in the field. The steps to collect, select, and transform data into information are then analyzed using a descriptive approach to provide an overview of the efforts that have been made for economic development. The results of this study indicate that the community understands the basic knowledge of zakat quite well, although a researcher and evidence of productive zakat are needed as an effort to improve zakat literacy even better.

Analisa Implementasi Tata Kelola Zakat Di Laz Sidogiri Cabang Bondowoso

Zakat can function as a source of socio-economic funds for Muslims. This means that the utilization of zakat managed by the Amil Zakat Agency is not only limited to certain activities based on conventional orientation, but can also be used for the economic activities of the people, such as in poverty alleviation programs and unemployment by giving productive zakat to those who need it as business capital. The focus of the study in this research is as follows: 1. How is Zakat Management Planning in LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso Branch?. 2. How is Zakat Management Organized at LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso Branch?. 3. How is the Implementation of Zakat Management at LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso Branch?. 4. How is Zakat Management Reporting at LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso Branch? The results of this study indicate that the management of zakat carried out at LAZ Sidogiri includes Planning, Organizing, Distribution, and Reporting Zakat. 1) Planning for zakat management at LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso branch is based on a plan that has been made nationally by the central LAZ Sidogiri in the annual work meeting, one of them is the centralization of the management of zakat funds systematically from the Bondowoso branch to the center. LAZ Sidogiri as the center for controlling the entire existing system, LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso branch and other branches as implementers. 2) Organizing, LAZ Sidogiri to facilitate the task and run the wheels of the LAZ Bondowoso organization, is controlled by five implementers. The five people include: one branch head, one branch admin, and three funding officers. The recruitment model carried out by LAZ Bondowoso includes: first, LAZ Sidogiri proposes a new member candidate to the central LAZ Sidogiri, after that the central LAZ Sidogiri will approve or not. 3) Implementation, distribution of zakat funds, in the field shows that LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso branch cannot immediately disburse funds and give them to mustahik, but must first confirm and submit disbursement. This is because LAZ Sidogiri Branch Bondowoso collects zakat funds, and the zakat funds are deposited to the central LAZ Sidogiri as a whole, as a form of centralization of funds. 4) Reporting on zakat collection at LAZ Sidogiri, Bondowoso branch absolutely uses the concept of Vertical Accountability, which is only responsible for all reporting to the central LAZ Sidogiri. This is because LAZ Sidogiri Bondowoso is legally parented to LAZ Sidogiri center in Pasuruan

Analysis of the Role of Muhammadiyah Zakat Infaq and Sadaqah Institutions in the Efficiency of Productive Zakat Fund Management Using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Approach

This study aims to measure the level of efficiency in the financial performance of the Zakat Management Organization (OPZ), namely the Muhammadiyah Amil Zakat Institution (LAZISMU). The population in this study is LAZISMU Sidoarjo. The analytical tool used is a non-parametric quantitative method, namely Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with a production approach using DEAP 2.1 software. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of the financial statements of the Indonesian Zakat House for the 2020-2021 period. This study uses 2 assumptions, namely Constant Return To Scale (CRS) and Variable Return to Scale (VRS). Based on the results of research conducted using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, the results showed that the performance of Rumah Zakat Indonesia experienced efficiency in 2020 and 2021, which was 100%.

AN ANALISYS OF COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT ON THE SME MITRA UMAT PROGRAM OF LEMBAGA AMIL ZAKAT BANGUN SEJAHTERA MITRA UMAT (LAZNAS BSM UMAT)

Community development through productive zakat could improve the economic state of mustahiks, particularly those with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This study aims to: (1) learn about the LAZNAS BSMU community development scheme; (2) understand the benefits and drawbacks of the Mitra Umat SME program. This study employs a qualitative approach with descriptive evaluative methods. Field research data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. According to the findings of this study: (1) Mitra Umat team from LAZNAS BSMU accomplished their program so well and managed productive zakat as it should and precisely through Mitra Umat SME program for the mustahiks who joined and participated in the program; (2) The mechanism of development done by Mitra Umat team LAZNAS BSMU suitable according to the theory of community development; and (3) Mitra Umat SME program based on productive zakat could give a good impact and welfare.

Productive Zakat Viewed From The Perspective of Modern Fiqh

Zakat in Islamic teaching has two perspectives,'worship of mahdah and social empowerment. According to some ulemas, zakat has upgraded the standard of the people's life. In the 'Umar ibn Abd al-'Aziz era, zakat was formatted as a capital for the poorman. The case of empowering the ummah became the important issue let alone many of them live in unlucky conditions. What 'Umar ibn Abd al-'Aziz has done is considered as productive zakat. Nowadays, zakat is usually distributed for consumer importance. If the end model cannot upgrade the condition of the ummah, then productive zakat is considered a solution to solve the problem.

Efektifitas Penyaluran Zakat Produktif dalam Bentuk Bantuan Modal Usaha terhadap Kesejahteraan Mustahik dengan Pendekatan Metode CIBEST

This research aims at analyzing the impact of Productive zakat distribution on one's spiritual and material aspects. The impact is measured using the CIBEST technique which will produce spiritual value (SV) and material value (MV). This research aims at analyzing and cognizing its effectiveness perceived by mustahiq. The process is conducted by classifying it based on the quadrants in the CIBEST calculation technique, before or after giving productive zakat in the form of business capital assistance as one of  Surabaya Infaq Management Institute (LMI). The research uses descriptive quantitative research method with 24 households as respondents. The results show that the provision of productive zakat in the form of business capital assistance has positive and effective impact on the economic and spiritual aspects of mustahiq with an increase from quadrant II to quadrant I.

THE PRODUCTIVE ZAKAT UTILIZATION MODEL BY THE MAGELANG CITY BAZNAS ZAKAT INSTITUTION IN INCREASING MUSTAHIQ INCOME

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimization of the strategy and utilization of productive zakat by the Magelang city BAZNAS zakat institution in increasing Mustahiq income in the city of Magelang. The research methodology used is a qualitative approach, with a case study strategy. Data collection was carried out by interviewing the head of the human resources sector from Baznas of Magelang City, amil zakat, and three mustahiq recipients of productive zakat funds. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, it was found that productive utilization of zakat funds by BAZNAS zakat institutions in this case was channeled through seven superior programs. One of the programs in order to empower the community to improve their economy is the Capital Assistance program. This Capital Assistance Program, in which there is also a skill and skills training program, this program is a productive zakat utilization model by BAZNAS in increasing mustahiq income which according to researchers is already optimal. This is evidenced by an increase in mustahiq income, and the ability of mustahiq to become muzakki.

Maximizing Productive Zakat Earnings through Internal Supervision Strategy in Zakat Organizations

This study discusses the implementation of internal control to maximize the acquisition of productive zakat funds in the Bengkulu Branch of the Indonesian Zakat Initiative. This research uses qualitative based on primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. To test the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation analysis. The study results found that internal control for Productive Zakat at the Indonesian Zakat Initiative Bengkulu Branch begins with tidying up the data and distributing the data to each member in the related field. Each member gets a regular schedule. Part of this work is done manually and partly using an e-donation application. The best supervisors get awards for achieving work targets and provide sanctions/reprimands for those who do not complete their work targets. Finally, this study recommends further discussing effective zakat control in Indonesian zakat initiatives.

Mustahik's Participation Model in the Productive Zakat Fund Distribution Program

Since the issuance of Law No. 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Governance, zakat has become one of the instruments of state development. however, in practice, the process of distributing zakat funds is still dominated by a distribution model that is consumptive and very minimally involves mustahik as the beneficiary of the program in the process. Mustahik is only used as an object in the process of distributing zakat funds, even though community participation is the spirit of community empowerment. As a result, zakat has not been able to solve the problem of poverty and improve the standard of living of mustahik. The process of preparing this paper uses the literature study method and explains that there are two models of community participation in the productive zakat fund distribution program, namely the community participation model based on technical assistance and self-help approaches. These two participation models can be a reference to formulate a program for distributing productive zakat funds so that productive zakat funds can have more impact on mustahik.

Empowering the Community’s Economy through Productive Zakat (A Comparative Study of Yusuf Al-Qardhawi’s and Sahal Mahfudh’s Thoughts)

The reality of Muslims suffering from poverty is inversely proportional to the ideals of Islam which calls for poverty alleviation, especially through zakat. The ineffectiveness of zakat is due to the fact that its distribution is still consumptive, not productive. Therefore, this study aims to examine the thoughts of Yusuf al-Qardhawi and Sahal Mahfudh who pay serious attention to productive zakat as a medium for community economic empowerment. This research is classified as a normative and qualitative approach in the form of a literature study to examine data sources that contain the thoughts of Al-Qardhawi and Sahal. The main formulation is to compare al-Qardhawi and Sahal's thoughts on community economic empowerment through productive zakat in terms of background thought, main ideas, subjects, target objects, standard limits and operational steps. The results of this study have two findings. First, Al-Qardhawi proposes the idea of ​​community economic empowerment by improving zakat management, good subjects, distribution with Priority Fiqh principles, theoretical-idealist operational steps. Second, Sahal proposes the idea of ​​community economic empowerment aimed at community economic problems and improving zakat management, good subjects, zakat distribution in accordance with the provisions of Islamic jurisprudence, and practical theoretical implementation steps.
