Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa SMP Negeri 3 Prabumulih

This research aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students at SMP Negeri 3 Prabumulih. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Prabumulih for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research sample was obtained from two classes consisting of an experimental class (PBL) of 32 students and a control class (conventional) of 32 students. Data collection after treatment was done using tests of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. From the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that there is an influence that the mathematical problem-solving skills of students taught using the problem-based learning model are higher than those of students taught.

Purpose – Teacher-centered learning models and a lack of variety limit students' opportunities to be active and think critically, affecting their concept comprehension and collaboration skills. This study aims to investigate the role of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on fifth-grade students' understanding of the human respiratory system and organs.Method – This quasi-experimental study used a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, involving experimental and control classes of fifth-grade students from a public elementary school in Harjamukti District, Cirebon City. Data was collected using testing and non-testing methods. Test instruments used to determine students' concept understanding using pretest and posttest assessments and non-test data is collected using observation.Findings – The results showed that the implementation stages of PBL were carried out very well; both the experimental and control classes showed an increase in concept comprehension, with PBL having a more significant impact. PBL increased concept understanding with an average N-Gain of 57.7% compared to 35.2% in the control class, and increased student collaboration with a percentage of active participation of 84%. Research Implications – The implication in this study is that the PBL model runs very well so that it can significantly improve students' understanding concepts in the material of the human respiratory system and organs. Can also develop students' collaboration skills so that they are more active in class. However, it is limited by its focus on a small sample and specific material. Broader research with diverse samples and materials, or additional variables, is needed for more comprehensive conclusions.

THE EFFECT OF THE PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODEL ON THE NUMERICAL LITERACY ABILITY OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This research was motivated by elementary school students’ low numeracy literacy ability, especially grade III. The low numeracy literacy of students is caused by students' thinking that mathematics is a complex subject and the selection of learning models that do not develop students' critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, students need good critical thinking and problem-solving skills to answer numeracy literacy questions. This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on numeracy literacy skills. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The samples in this study were grade III A and B students of SD Negeri Sukaraja Wetan I. The research instruments used were numeracy literacy tests, teacher performance observation sheets, and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis techniques used in SPSS version 26 are the t-test, simple linear regression, and N-Gain tests. The results of this study showed the influence of the problem-based learning model on the numeracy literacy ability of elementary school students by 52.8%. In addition, there was a difference in students' numeracy literacy ability, marked by an increase of 41% with the medium category in the experimental class. In contrast, in the control class, there was only an increase in scores of 11% with the low category.

The Influence of the Problem-Based Learning Model Assisted by Google Sites Interactive Multimedia on Critical Thinking Skills in the Science Subject of Grade V Elementary School

Critical thinking skills are part of 21st century learning that are important to be applied in the learning process. However, these skills have not been fully mastered by students. Based on the results of observations conducted in one elementary school, students have difficulty working on analytical questions. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by interactive multimedia Google sites significantly on critical thinking skills in the subject of science for grade V of elementary school. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were grade V students of SDN 3 Bangunsari Ponorogo totaling 82 students. The research sample was grade V students consisting of a control class and an experimental class, each totaling 30 students. Data analysis used an independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in the average results of the pretest and posttest of critical thinking skills in the experimental class and the control class. In the experimental class there was an increase of 19.56%. While in the control class it increased by 6.27%. The results of the hypothesis test using the independent sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.034, which means <0.05, thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there is a significant influence of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by interactive multimedia Google sites on critical thinking skills in the subject of science for grade V of Elementary School. Learning with the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by interactive multimedia Google sites has been proven to be able to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Problem Based Learning Models Assisted by Mathcard on Students' Critical Thinking Abilities and Mathematical Dispositions

Learning using the 2013 curriculum encourages students to have 4C abilities. The findings of the initial test results in class IX of SMP Negeri 3 Muntilan, their critical thinking skills were classified as poor. Mathematical disposition abilities influence the low and high level of students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. The findings from the initial questionnaire showed that mathematical disposition ability was in the medium category. Then, with the need for students not to get bored quickly and to be active when learning, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by math cards was implemented. The research objective to be achieved in this study is to analyze in a multivariate way the critical thinking abilities and mathematical disposition abilities taught using the PBL model assisted by mathcards are better than those taught using the expository learning model on quadratic equations. The approach used is quantitative research with a quasi experimental design in the form of a non equivalent posttest only control group design. The results of this research are; Multivariately, students' critical thinking abilities and mathematical disposition are better in the PBL model assisted by mathcards compared to the expository model in quadratic equations. However, educators need to reconsider the material that will be applied with this mathcard-assisted PBL model, because this model is not necessarily suitable for all material.

Application of the PBL Model on Temperature and Heat Concepts to Student Learning Outcomes

This research aims to analyze the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model on temperature and heat concepts on student learning outcomes. This research is experimental research, with the research design used being a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used in this research was the total sampling technique. The population in this study was all class VII of MTs Al-Khairaat Kwandang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample in this study consisted of 3 classes, namely Class VII B as the experimental class, Class VII A as replication 1, and Class VII C as replication 2, where the experimental and replication classes were determined randomly by drawing lots. Research data was collected using test techniques, then the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, which include normality tests, hypothesis tests, and n-gain analysis. The results obtained for all sample classes, the average for class VII students is greater than the Criteria for Achieving Learning, which is shown by the average value of the experimental class of 85.49, replication 1 of 84.18, and replication 2 of 82.92. Based on the results of the course average normalized gain obtained by the experimental class was 0.78, replication 1 was 0.76, and replication 2 was 0.75, which means that all sample classes are in the high category. Thus, the PBL learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in concepts of temperature and heat.

The Influence of the PBL Model to Student Learning Outcomes on Heat and its Transfer Concepts

This research aims to determine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to student learning outcomes on heat and transfer concepts by using experimental research, with the research design being One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study was class VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Gorontalo. The sample consists of 3 classes, namely experimental class, replication 1, and replication 2, with the sampling technique being Cluster Random Sampling. The instrument of research used was a learning outcomes test in the form of a pretest-posttest to see student learning outcomes. Then, the data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality tests, hypothesis tests, and n-gain analysis. The average score for class VII students is greater than the Criteria for Achieving Learning Goals, shown by an average score for the experimental class of 82.25, replication 1 of 79.94, and replication 2 of 79.04, compared to the Criteria for Achieving Learning Goals of 70. Based on the hypothesis testing criteria for the class, experimental Tcount 7.036 is greater than Ttable 2.035, replication 1 Tcount 6.684 is greater than Ttable 2.035, and replication 2 Tcount 5.824 is greater than Ttable 2.035 so it stated Tcount is more prominent than Ttable. This can be interpreted that the PBL model influences student learning outcomes.

The Influence of Problem Based Learning on Problem Solving Ability in Science Materials in Elementary Schools

Problem solving abilities have a significant role in increasing students' cognitive capacity, however, there are still difficulties in developing these skills. This research aims to assess the influence of the Problem Based Learning Model on students' problem solving abilities. This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative type with a pretest-posttest control group design. Fourth semester students in classes C and D of the PGSD Study Program were taken as samples using the Purposive Sampling technique. Data was collected through a research instrument in the form of a problem solving ability test in the Elementary School Science Learning Materials course. The results of hypothesis analysis using the Mann-Whitney test show the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000, which is smaller than 0.005. Therefore, it can be concluded that Hypothesis is Accepted. This means that there are differences between the experimental class which uses the PBL model and the control class with conventional learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the PBL model has an influence on the problem solving abilities of PGSD students.

The Effectiveness of the Ethnochemistry-based Problem Based Learning Model on Students' Problem-Solving Ability in Chemistry Learning: A Meta-analysis Study in 2021-2024

This research is based on many ethnoscience-based problem-based learning studies on students' problem-solving skills. However, many different studies are related to drawing conclusions regarding the application of ethnochemistry-based project-based learning to students' problem-solving skills. This study aims to analyze the influence of ethnochemistry-based problem-based learning model on students' problem-solving ability in chemistry learning. Compared to conventional models. This research is a type of meta-analysis research. Data collection techniques through google scholar database searching; ERIC; ScienceDirect; Wiley; and IEEE. The research data was analyzed to calculate the effect size value of 17 primary studies that met the inclusion criteria. Data analysis with the help of JSAP 0.16.3 software. The results of this study concluded that the ethnochemistry-based problem-based learning model had a significant influence on students' problem-solving ability with an mean effect size ( d = 0.997; p < 0.001) including the high effect size category. These findings conclude that the ethnochemistry-based problem-based learning model is effective in improving students' problem-solving skills compared to conventional learning models. The results of the meta-analysis provide more accurate information so that it can improve the quality of chemistry learning for students at school.

Pengembangan E-Book Teks Eksposisi Berbasis Aplikasi Canva dengan Model Problem Based Learning untuk Siswa Kelas X MA Tahfizh Al-Habibi

This study aimed to develop and assess the feasibility of an e-book on exposition text material enhanced by the Canva application using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model for class X students at MA Tahfizh Al-Habibi. Employing the 4D development model by Thiagarajan (1974), which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate phases, the research involved a population of 60 students with a sample of 20 students from class X-3. Data collection methods included questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The findings indicated that the e-book is highly feasible, with material experts rating its validity at 85.6% and 88.8%, respectively, and design experts at 93%. Trials conducted with teachers and students yielded an overall average score of 87% from the Indonesian language teacher and 96% from students, both categorized as "highly feasible." These results suggest that the e-book on exposition text material assisted by the Canva application using the PBL model is valid and suitable for educational use.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas IV di SD Negeri 2 Kalikebo

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kalikebo on the material of the area of ​​square and rectangular flat shapes. This study used a quantitative type of quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were all students of SD Negeri 2 Kalikebo and SD Negeri 1 Kalikebo. The sample in this study was fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kalikebo and SD 1 Negeri Kalikebo. The research instrument was first tested for validity and homogeneity. The results of this study indicate an effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Kalikebo. Proven by the paired sample t-test hypothesis test obtained a t-count value of 7.311> t-table 2.010 (t-count is greater than t-table) meaning that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that the use of the problem based learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kalikebo.

Implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model to Improve Learning Outcomes in Probability in Junior High Schools

This study examines the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing learning outcomes on probability materials among junior high school students. Employing a classroom action research design implemented over two cycles, this study involved eighth-grade students at a public junior high school in Pekanbaru. The PBL method was applied to increase student engagement in learning, facilitate a deep understanding of probability materials, and develop their problem-solving skills. The findings indicate that implementing PBL successfully increased the percentage of students achieving the minimum mastery criterion (KKM) from 30% at the baseline to 65% at the end of the second cycle. This research confirms that PBL is an effective learning strategy for probability materials at the junior high school level, with positive implications for conceptual understanding, social skills, and student learning motivation. These findings suggest that the PBL approach should be more broadly applied in the school mathematics curriculum to enhance mathematics learning outcomes.

Development of Teaching Modules Utilizing Problem-Based Learning for Data Presentation Material Class VII SMP / MTs

This study is motivated by the importance of teaching modules in accordance with the ability of learners who have difficulty learning mathematics. The research aims to create a teaching module model of problem-based learning based on the topic of data presentation. The development follows the flow in the 4D model, namely “define, design, develop, disseminate”. The data was collected using various techniques, including interviews, documentation, observation, and questionnaires. The instrument used is the teaching module validation instrument. The study findings are that teaching modules have been declared highly qualified and valid, with an average of 3.52. However, this study is only up to the validity test phase, so the practicality of teaching modules is unknown due to time and cost constraints. So, this teaching module is qualified and valid.

Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa Dengan Menggunakan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Pada Mata Pelajaran PKN Kelas V SD Negeri 15 Pekanbaru

Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching and learning process in the classroom where students are first asked to observe a phenomenon. Then students are asked to record the problems that arise, after that the teacher's job is to stimulate critical thinking in solving existing problems. The teacher's task is to direct students to ask questions, prove assumptions, and listen to different perspectives among them. The problems in this study are (1) Can Problem-Based Learning (PBL) improve student learning outcomes in Civics class V at SD Negeri 15 Pekanbaru (2) How is the effect of student learning outcomes with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Civics class V at SD Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. This research includes Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was conducted in two cycles using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely design, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 15 Pekanbaru, totaling 35 students. The research data was obtained using teacher and student observation sheets and student test results, then the data was analyzed using the percentage formula. The results obtained were (1) teacher activity in cycle I using a problem-based learning model from 78.75% to 91.25% in cycle II, (2) student activity in cycle I using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model 50.48% to 85.26%, and, (3) student learning outcomes in Civics subjects in cycle I using problem-based learning 40% to 94.28% in cycle II. This shows that student learning outcomes in Civics subjects using problem-based learning models show very positive results. Based on the results of this study can improve student learning outcomes to be more active and the ability of teachers to improve for the better.

Augmented Reality Learning Media with a Problem-Based Learning Model to Enhance the Students' Comprehension on Mathematical Concepts

The aim of this research is to develop augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model and analyze the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research uses the research and development method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The sampling technique used is a random assignment, namely random sampling, where the experimental and control groups are chosen randomly from a lottery. The first lottery that came out was used as the experimental class, and the second lottery was used as the control class. Data collection techniques in this research used interview techniques, questionnaires, and tests. The results show (1) augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model is suitable for use, (2) augmented reality learning media is very practical to use, (3) understanding of mathematical concepts of students who receive learning with augmented reality media is better than students with conventional learning, and there are significant differences. (4) The augmented reality-based learning media developed is effective in use. The findings imply that the augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model can be an alternative and innovative media in assisting the student’s comprehension on mathematical concepts

ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (PAI) LEARNING IN THE SOCIETY 5.0 ERA TO IMPROVE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

The development of technology, information, and communication requires people in the era of Society 5.0 to have various life skills. One such skill is critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills are useful for minimizing the occurrence of various negative impacts of technological advances. In addition, people who have critical thinking skills will easily solve various problems in life. This study aims to determine the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the era of Society 5.0, evaluate critical thinking skills, and analyze the implications of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the era of Society 5.0 in improving critical thinking skills. This research uses qualitative methods with questionnaire instruments, observation and interview guidelines, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) in the era of society 5.0, PAI teachers use a problem-based contextual learning model, utilize technology as a learning medium, and encourage students to actively seek information from various sources, 2) students' critical thinking skills are in a good category, 84% of students already have critical thinking skills in the medium and high categories, 3) Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the era of society 5.0 has implications for skills critical thinking.

Enhancing problem-solving skills through physical education learning: a comprehensive analysis

Physical education (PE) has long been recognized as an important component of holistic education, contributing not only to physical fitness but also to cognitive, social, and emotional development. This research is to find out whether physical education can improve problem solving skills. The type of research used in this research is associative (relationship) research. This research was conducted on high school students in Padang, West Sumatra with a sample size of 50 people (23 men and 27 women) using a purposive sampling technique. The Problem Solving Inventory (PSI) was the tool used in this research. This instrument consists of (1) problem solving beliefs (r =.85), (2) approach-avoidance style (r =.88), (3) personal control (r -.83). The research results that can be seen in the anti-image matrix table determine the level of suitability of the variables studied. In this case, the three variables in the Problem Solving Inventory all have values ​​> 0.50 with the following details: 1) Problem solving confidence 0.643; 2) Approach avoidance style 0.501 and 3) Personal control 0.501. Furthermore, the Total Variance explained above in the Initial Eigenvalues ​​section only has 1 factor which is formed from the 3 variables used. Because the requirement to become a factor is that the Initial Eigen Value > 1 is able to explain 43.273%, while the Extraction Sums of Squared Loadings value is 1.298 or > 1 and is able to explain 43.273% of the variation. And has a cumulative variation of 43.273%. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model can improve the learning outcomes of high school students in Padang. Problem solving is an important component in life, therefore problem-solving skills must be included in every lesson. Elementary School Students' Explanatory Text Learning Innovation Using the Problem Based Learning Model Assisted by Diorama Media

The lack of students' writing skills and limited learning facilities and media further worsen the writing quality of students in elementary school (SD). Explanatory text is text that informs the process of something occurring, whether natural or social phenomena. At the stage of understanding and writing the text, students find it difficult due to the lack of information and knowledge possessed by the students and the teacher as facilitator. Model problem based learning is a learning model that uses real problems in its learning so that it can train students to develop problem-solving skills. This model can trigger students' thinking methods in presenting information in an explanatory text that is in accordance with the structure of the explanatory text. Based on the analysis of the advantages of diorama media, it can be concluded that students' ability to write explanatory texts increases in accordance with the concept of diorama media, which is a mini three-dimensional view that aims to depict the actual scene. This is because in this model students are required to work together in groups regarding dioramas that have been observed, so that students have a lot of material and information to write explanatory texts so that learning becomes different and fun.
