Evaluating Usages of Social Media and Educational Teaching Methods in Consonance with the Teachings of Islam

Social media plays a very important role in the present education system of the world on the whole and in Islamic Republic of Pakistan in special. People in this area prefer to find information on social sites rather than find them face to face. Social media sites provide a variety of mediums for interacting and communicating while learning. However, this widespread use of social media is misused by some of the less responsible. The use of social media that is not Islamic values ​​can be harmful to society. Integrity in the dissemination of information on social media has been an issue often overlooked by some writers. Therefore, the application of Islamic values ​​is important in preventing these problems from continuing to spread and producing less educated communities. Based on the analysis of the study, there are four topics that cover teaching methods through social media from an Islamic perspective. Firstly think of social media as a medium of teaching. Subsequently, this article addresses the issue of using social media as a medium of instruction. The application of Islamic values ​​in communicating information through social media is also elaborated. Finally, this article also discusses the importance and benefits of emphasizing Islamic values ​​in communicating information on social media.

Teaching and learning methods in Ayurveda and its current perspectives.

Teaching and learning are the two sides of a coin. Present education in Ayurveda is mostly becoming an examination oriented not knowledge oriented. Education is not simply imparting knowledge in a particular faculty or subject or making oneself to be able for securing jobs or scoring Marks in exams, but at the same time is also training in logical thinking which helps the coming generations adjust to the ever-changing environment. It also means opening the doors of the mind, cultivation of Mind, cleansing and realization of the self. The present education system is weighed down by several reasons as a result of which the outcome is becoming self-centric. If we study our ancient education methods e found it from Buddhist period. The goal of Buddhist education is to attain wisdom and it is spiritual oriented. The chief aim of Buddhist education was all round development of child’s personality. This included his physical, mental, moral, intellectual and spiritual development. Ayurveda is an ancient science of Indian origin. India has the rich heritage in the field of knowledge and education. The importance of ancient sciences Ayurveda is being recognized and appreciated at national and international levels. Adhyayan (learning) and Adhyapan (teaching) are important aspects of education system. Ancient education system in India was based on Gurukul and Guru Shishya Parampara (Teacher-Disciple Tradition) which was also followed in Ayurveda. Ayurveda and it was formally recognized by W.H.O in 1978. At present education system has been integrated with modern tools and technologies which are being incorporated in teaching and learning of Ayurveda. The present paper deals with critical review of ancient and current skills of Medical teaching and learning.

Adaptive E-Learning Using Soft Computing Techniques

E-Learning is gaining more importance in the present education system and methodology of learning are moving from instructor-orientation to learner-orientation thereby providing learner with flexible, efficient and personalized learning environment. In this paper, adaptive e-learning using various soft computing techniques needed for achieving adaptation in learning path in e-learning is discussed. Adaptive e-learning becomes necessary for slow learners and challenged people who take their own time for learning due to their impairment.

Achievement of the Ancient Hindu way of Propagation of Education and suggestion of incorporation of some of the methods in the teaching of the modern Medical Education in India: Look back to go forward

The great Author F. Max Muller said that if written scripts were not invented the Indian scholars would have retained the treasure house of the knowledge of the Hindus in their memory even today with the same efficiency as of today’s written world of knowledge. The question appears here is what went wrong? Why the students cannot be taught how to learn a vast amount of literature as efficiently as the Hindus did for 9 millennia and more.Medical science is progressing in a quick stride. The amount of research materials being updated daily is very high. Expectations of patients and their attendants are also increasing day by day. The modern-day treating Doctors need to be aware of more things today than a hundred years back. The studies show that many patients may suffer from death or complications if their treating Doctors are not learned enough. It cannot be overemphasized that a learned Healer is way better than one who is half learned. The present-day experimentation with the teaching methods of the medical subjects needs to be revisited, at least in India. The experimentation of teaching the teachers in newer teaching methods and the introduction of the ATCOM module may or may not bear fruit. The involvement of non-treating faculties in imparting crucial parts of teaching like attitudes and communications in the hospital high tension areas will not be successful. Just the way a great Chef cannot train a Sniper, the same way this will surely fail. The proper person at a proper teaching position should be followed. A short advanced course in Medical Education, A short Fellowship or publication of few papers on education will not convert a Nontreating faculty equivalent to the faculty of Surgery. Theoretically, it sounds good,but in reality, it probably won’t work. The students would bein confusion. How can a teacher who has never faced a murderous mob or faced an intra-operative death or even diagnose a patient to cure him/her would teach how to behave in such scenarios? In such chaos, we thought of looking back on the historical aspects of the ancient medical education system and see if the great wisdom of the Hindu civilization can be utilized to improve the present Medical education system in India.It cannot be denied that the ancient Hindus had a system of Medicine far superior to whatever existed in the west.Great treatises were written in later times. These were learned and remembered by the students quite efficiently. The students often raised the standards to higher than those of their teachers. Such an efficient system needs to be paid attention to and if possible initiate some steps to bring back the great and lost glory of the system of medicine in practice. Teachers of the ancient period were known by the names of Acharya, Upadhyay, Charakas, and Guru.The learning methods were Storytelling, Memorization, hands-on methods, Critical analysis, Seminar, and finally Question – Answer sessions.The great Sushruta, maintained that Surgery was the most important subject of all. It was considered the first and foremost of the medical subjects. Maybe this should be looked into and Surgeons are brought in to take care of the higher medical education programs to make the teaching of the Higher medical learning strong and efficient.In this work, we tried to focus on such steps, which is incorporated in the education system of modern medical science in India, should improve the quality of the students. As a result, they will be better healers, and lives will be saved.

Public Expenditure on Primary Education: A Study of Gorkha District, Nepal

The Nepalese education system is more competitive and harmonious although for the lack of funds and resources. The present education system is still in the transition phase. The study has focused on the impact of public expenditure on primary education and try to show how there is increasing government involvement and how it has continued with the rising educational expenditure. The focus of the objective of this article is to show the importance of public expenditure on primary education in the context of Nepal in Gorkha district. The data gathering tool used is secondary methods from the publication of the ‘financial and educational structure of Gorkha’ and 60 households has been taken. A structural simple statistical method is used in which objectives are well defined and aimed at a specific type of information. Government budget on primary education is taken as dependent variable and income as an independent variable in this study. This research article concludes that the government contribution to primary education is tremendously significant in the development of education in Nepal. To reduce the imbalance, education should provide more incentive to people for educational development.

Optical fog‐assisted cyber‐physical system for intelligent surveillance in the education system

AbstractNowadays, surveillance systems are becoming popular for safety and security purposes in many sectors like government organizations, private institutes, hospitals, schools, residential societies, etc. The role of intelligent surveillance in the education system fulfills diverse requirements such as general surveillance of the campus, recording of a lecture, monitoring behavior of student/teacher, tracking, students, administrative surveillance and security surveillance, etc. In the present educational system, the traditional cloud/fog‐based cyber‐physical system (CPS) and surveillance system enable remote monitoring, machine learning, analytics, and early decision making for real‐time tasks. The existing solutions are inadequate to fulfill the requirements of ultra‐low delay and minimum energy consumption of the surveillance devices. In this paper, an optical fog‐assisted CPS is presented for intelligent surveillance in the education system that uses optical resources at the optical fog layer as fog devices for facilitating early decisions or actions with no delay, minimum energy consumption, and optimum usage of the bandwidth. The proposed system provides (a) a scalable smart OpticalFog node in the middleware of cloud and surveillance devices and (b) service assurance to various CPS‐based applications through the Fog manager. An optimum placement algorithm is proposed for the Fog manager to place the CPS‐based tasks on the nearby optical fog device. The iFogSim toolkit is used for evaluating the proposed algorithm in realizing CPS‐based surveillance in the education scenario. It can be observed from the results that delay in the traditional scenarios for different configurations of surveilled blocks are varying from 210 to 7,867 ms. However, the proposed system has provided ultra‐low delay in the range of 7.6–8.93 ms. Similarly, the energy consumption of surveillance cameras is significantly reduced. Moreover, network usage by the proposed framework is also less than the traditional system. Hence, results show the effectiveness of the proposed framework.

Education, Competences - Labor Market Analysis Against the Challenges of Industry 4.0 Economy

Abstract Building a strong economy depends on numerous factors: technological, political, geographical but also and above all social ones. Currently, the ongoing fourth industrial revolution is primarily based on digitization of all processes in the conducted activities. The acquisition and processing of vast amount of data generates information which is very complex and not always unambiguous. Industry 4.0 also assumes that employees will understand both technical needs and those not related to the production process. This means that the present education system (definitely the one related to technical science) should also be changed so that engineers acquire more managerial skills. The article presents the educational assumptions in the face of challenges posed by Industry 4.0 in the context of the current opportunities of the labor market and education in Poland and in Europe.

Influence of Education on Practice of Contemporary Wood Carving in Awka Town, Anambra State

Informal and formal education systems have played very important role in the Educational development of Africa. Even formal educational system which characterized the present system of education, did not only develop from non – formal education but has consistently shown influence of non – formal education. It is regrettable that most scholars show little interest on the relevance of non-formal education in formal educational system, hence there is a dearth of scholarly Literature on the subject. In view of this problem this study examined the influence of the education system on the Awka wood carving industry. The study employed a survey design, while a descriptive method was used in data analysis. Sources of data include both primary and secondary sources. The primary sources are mainly Oral, while secondary sources are written materials, both published and unpublished. The result of the study showed that Western education has influence on wood carving training in Awka. It therefore recommends that traditional wood carving methods should be introduced to the curriculum for teaching academic art in Nigeria to acquaint students with knowledge of their indigenous arts and culture and to draw inspirations from them for modern art productions.

Implementing an RTI approach: a qualitative study of prerequisites and obstacles

Response to Intervention (RTI) is a preventive approach which is broadly implemented in the West, particularly in the USA for early identification and intervention of students with learning difficulties (LD). However, in the East, especially in the developing countries, neither has this kind of program been used extensively, nor is it even a prerequisite in any educational environment. The challenges of implementing this approach in real-life situations have been investigated in the present article, and the prerequisites, obstacles and outcomes of such a program have been taken into consideration. In this qualitative research, information was gathered by various means including semi-structured one-on-one interviews with six school staff members, three parents, informal conversations with a number of students with LD, and monitoring (with note taking) of the conditions and interactions of these students in the school environment. The findings helped shed light on the causal conditions that underlie the bases of Iran’s present educational system; the current situations with which LD students are faced in schools; the necessary strategies and actions for successful implementation of RTI in the country; the factors that can facilitate the needed strategies and actions; and the consequences of the implementation of those strategies. The implications of the findings in educational policy and practice have also been discussed.

Mahatma Gandhi and Basic Education

The present system of education has not been able to give right direction to the youths and it does not provide them affluent opportunities for their all round development to make them self reliant. Now-a-days the students are passing examinations and earning their degrees with first or higher divisions, but most of them are unable to become self reliant and incapable to face the challenges. So to overcome this condition there is a need of such education which was predicted by Mahatma Gandhi like ‘Basic Education’ or ‘Nai-Talim’. Gandhi realized that the basic education was an essential component to the structural and socio-economic imbalances that were badly affected. It was the treatment for all the ills and evils of the society in India. His idea on basic education not only changed the educational system of India but also led a social revolution. This paper aims to understand and review the principles of Gandhiji on basic education which are assessed from his several writings. Some important features of Gandhiji’s basic education are also described comparing present system of education.

The Quest of Bridging the Gap Between Skill Training and Education Together for Sustainable Employability

At present time, the focus of the educational system is to build the nation by developing competency among the youth. There is no denying the fact that the youth can actively participate in the economic development of our country only when they are skilled and competent to perform. The workforce by earning a substantial amount of money can contribute towards the development and growth of the country. It is important to facilitate youth with the latest technology to upgrade their existing set of skills by imparting job oriented education and exposing them to practical training. India has achieved substantial development, since independence but still, the development needs of the country are high. To achieve the goal of industrialization and digitalization, India needs to take sound measures to impart sound knowledge to those who are deprived. In the field of education, various Committees and Commissions were constituted with a purpose to remove poverty and unemployment from the society. Skill development in our country can be targeted for effectively leveraged to teach students, enhance their skills to earn a decent livelihood and respect in society. Looking into the job crisis and competition in the job market, there is a need that students must be imparted with appropriate knowledge and provided with hand-on skills. This paper tries to address how soft skills development can be important to address many hidden issues of employability which is being faced by fresh graduates. The paper discusses how the present education system needs to be more practical and skills-based. The lack of access to education and training has also deprived the youth to take active participation in economic activity. The low quality of students and lack of involvement in the classroom is hampering their productive capacity. The paper will also attempt to bring out the discussion on steps that can be taken to address the issue of vocational training to bridge the gap of employment. The paper concludes the right efforts have to be made to equip the workforce with the right set of employable skills and knowledge

Adoption of ICT-based education system to protect environment and improve present education system

This study is unique in nature that focuses the waste characterisation by the present education system and its effects on the general environment as well as the education system itself. Therefore, to cope up with an issue, the study explores the concept of information and communication technology (ICT)-based education system to the protection of the environment as well as improving present education system itself from students' perspective. A total of 356 usable responses was gathered from engineering, management, and computer application students of four main cities of Madhya Pradesh, India. The AMOS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 statistical programs were used for measurement validation and to test the structural model. The study identified the key constructs within this domain and indicated that all the paths are significant which implies that ICT-based education system significantly contributes to protect the environment and improve the present education system. Therefore, the findings of the study would help policymakers and academicians.

Role of Teacher Training Program in Enhancing Quality Education

Education is the first and foremost requirement for all the other fields of nation. Teacher is the pilot of the whole education system. So it is very necessary for every nation to develop competent teachers for the formation of the future generation through teacher training program. Excellent, skilful, qualitative and competent teachers are necessary for shaping the future generation. Quality teacher education training program is an ultimate need of the hour in our nation in building an army of good citizens to face the future challenges of the world. Number of research studies, reports and committees identified-lack of needed teacher competencies in present teacher training programme. Quality of education in present educational system gets permeable due to lack of updated competency formation and training. A teacher is supposed to teach not only the syllabus but also life skills and values which enable the students to find out good path in the society by distinguishing the right and wrong and to treat equally in the society. Every nation designs its teacher training programme with definite plans and policies. An attempt is being done through this paper to explore the draw backs of present teacher training programme on the basis of 21st century demands. The present paper tries to put light into the role of teacher training programme to make well equipped and competent teachers of 21st century for enhancing quality education at present scenario.

Importance of universal human values in education system: An overview

Universal human values (UHV) play a significant role in the whole life of a human being. These values in the education system are necessary to create effective students who will bring the nation to greater height. However, the present education system just focuses on acquiring large amounts of information, passing examinations and procuring many higher degrees for the job. Thus, the people after getting the job only focus on earning more money, while giving less importance to relationship and right understanding. This results in number of problems at individual levels (depression, anxiety, stress, suicides, etc.), family level (breaking up of joint families, divorce, dowry, deaths etc.) and society level (growing incidence of terrorism, violence, communism, racial and ethnic struggle, wars and sex crimes etc.). Hence, this paper advocates about the basis of human values and the issues that the students face before learning the value based education and the positive changes that happens after understanding of value based education. This leads to technically skilled and morally strong professionals and even helps in enhancing more opportunities in their life.

Mahatma Gandhiji was an extremely open-minded seeker of truth. This quality gives Gandhiji a unique dimension which can attract the new generation. Education is for life, life in its entire and then education through life. Gandhiji philosophy of non-violence has great relevance in current scenario.Such philosophy of life helped him in developing his philosophy of Education which can be the true source of inspiration for the present system of education. Gandhiji’s Basic Principles of Education includes: i)From 7 to 14 years of age, education of each child should be free, compulsory and universal. ii)The medium of instruction should be mother-tongue. iii) Mere literacy cannot be equated with education. Education should employ some craft as a medium of education so that the child gains economic self - reliance for his life. iv) Education should develop human values in the child. v)Education should create useful, responsible and dynamic citizens. By education all the hidden powers of child should develop according to the community of which he is an integral part. vi)Education should achieve the harmonious development of child's body, mind, heart and soul. The inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi, we have adopted Basic Education as the pattern of national education. The distinctive feature of education that it makes productive work is the main basis of the whole educative process. Gandhiji thought that education should be provided to mothers, and they could provide education to children effectively. He stressed upon the education of women, for the development of nation depends upon women. Education is vital for the effectiveness of both strategies. For this to happen, education has to go beyond the warehousing of information to a celebration of awareness, which is best facilitated through education for peace. Gandhiji by sponsoring the New Education made the Indian educational system.

Analysis of Data Mining Methodologies & Applications in Education Sector

As we know the higher education system has shown a very swift progression over the last few decades. A large number of institutions have emerged from the public as well as private sectors. These institutions provide diverse courses for the students for UG (under graduate) and PG (post graduate) programs. Universities both public, private and colleges affiliated with these universities provide admissions to the thousands of students into different courses every year.
