A Machine Learning Approach to Predict Relative Residual Strengths of Recycled Aggregate Concrete after Exposure to High Temperatures

In recent years, there has been a heightened focus among researchers and policymakers on assessing the environmental impact and sustainability of human activities. In this context, the reutilization of construction materials, particularly recycled aggregate concrete, has emerged as an environmentally friendly choice in construction projects, gaining significant traction. This study addresses the critical need to investigate the mechanical properties of recycled aggregate concrete under diverse extreme scenarios. Conducting an extensive literature review, key findings were synthesized on the relative residual strength of recycled aggregate concrete following exposure to high temperatures. Leveraging these insights, innovative hybrid machine learning models were developed, offering practical equations and model trees for predicting the relative residual compressive strength, flexural strength, elasticity modulus, and splitting tensile strength of recycled aggregate concrete post high temperature exposure. Uncertainty analysis was performed on each model to assess the reliability, while sensitivity analysis was performed to find out the significance of each input variable for each predictive model. This paper presents interpretable models achieving high levels of performance, with R2 values of 0.91, 0.94, 0.9, and 0.96 for predicting the relative residual compressive strength, flexural strength, modulus of elasticity, and splitting tensile strength of RCA concrete exposed to high temperatures, respectively. The unique contribution of the paper lies in the provision of easily applicable equations and model trees, enhancing accessibility for practitioners seeking to estimate mechanical properties of recycled aggregate concrete. Notably, our hybrid machine learning models stand out for their user-friendly nature compared with conventional ML algorithms, without compromising on accuracy. This paper not only advances our understanding of sustainable construction practices but also equips industry professionals with efficient tools for practical implementation.

Measuring sustainability of opioid agonist therapy programs in the context of transition from Global Fund support

BackgroundProgrammatic and financial sustainability of health responses dependent on donor funding has risen as a major concern. In the HIV field in particular, it generated a number of instruments and assessments on sustainability and processes related to donor transition planning. The authors aimed to develop an instrument specific to opioid agonist therapy (OAT) programs as they were addressed only marginally by the HIV-specific assessments.MethodsThe development of the OAT sustainability instrument used desk review of existing HIV sustainability concepts and tools, an International Advisory Board, and piloting to validate the instrument.ResultsThe new OAT sustainability instrument is comprised of the three parts: the conceptual framework, methodological guidelines and a practical implementation tool for assessing the degree of OAT sustainability at the country level. It measures sustainability in the three broad areas for sustainability measuring–Policy & Governance; Finance & Resources; and Services. The selection of indicators and their composites for the three sustainability areas extensively used the United Nations and World Health Organization’s guidance on health system building blocks, on care and HIV and viral hepatitis prevention among people using opioids and for opioid dependence, and the definition of access to health framed by the United Nations Convent on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The instrument’s methodological guidelines require the engagement of a national consultant to conduct desk review, key informant interviews and focus groups for measuring discrete milestones and adding qualitative information for interpretation of the data, progress and opportunities. The guidelines advise engaging a country-specific multi-stakeholder advisory group for planning, validation and follow-up of the assessment. The pilot of the instrument in 3 countries in 2020 validated it and required minor adjustments in the instrument. By mid-2023, the instrument has been successfully applied in 5 countries.ConclusionsThe developed instrument enables a comprehensive review of the resilience of OAT programs and their ability to scale up and to inform a roadmap for improved sustainability. While developed in the context of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, it has been reviewed by a global advisory panel and could be easily adapted outside this regional context.

ІНФОРМАЦІЙНА ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ТЕРИТОРІАЛЬНИХ ГРОМАД В УМОВАХ НОВИХ СОЦІАЛЬНИХ ТА КОМУНІКАЦІЙНИХ ВИКЛИКІВ

<p><strong><em>The purpose</em></strong><em> of the study is to formulate the components of an effective communication policy of territorial municipalities in the context of a strategic vision of their development by means of territorial branding and marketing communications; to identify</em><em> the main communication strategies of all participants in the internal and external information environment of the municipality, aimed at the formation of an internal consolidated micro-society and countering the destructive consequences of military actions, etc.</em></p><p><strong><em>Research methodology.</em></strong><em> In the process of the research</em><em> of the internal and external components of the communication policy of one of the most progressive municipalities of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as the direct participation of the article’s author in the development of its qualitative components, which are part of the strategic documents of the analyzed municipality, scientific research methods and practical implementation tools were involved, in particular, monitoring, SWOT analysis, public hearings, project activities, modeling, comparative, and structural analysis.</em></p><p><strong><em>Results. </em></strong><em>The introduction of martial law in Ukraine changed the functioning and development of territorial municipalities, a large part of which ended up in the war zone (or periodically falls into this list). However, previous achievements in the direction of sustainable processes of decentralization, in particular with regard to developed tools/channels of local communication in municipalities, are an actual object of attention because, under the conditions of military aggression, they became an effective means of humanitarian stabilization and security measures, prompted the patriotic impulse and emotional upsurge of Ukrainians </em><em>at the beginning of the military invasion, and should contribute to the effective restoration of democratic processes after the end of hostilities. Sustainable communication positioning is a powerful tool for the development of the territory not only in its quantitative (defined as absolute indicators of marketing positioning) but also in its qualitative (defined as conventional indicators of the formation of a favorable image and communication strategies for the community) dimension.</em></p><p><strong><em>Novelty.</em></strong><em> The work proves that branding and the use of marketing communications in the positioning of rural and township territories is an effective tool, on the one hand, for forming the image of a municipality</em><em>’s attractiveness and its competitiveness both in the regional and all-Ukrainian administrative and territorial space, and, on the other hand, as means of internal consolidation and improvement of the lives of local residents.</em></p><p><strong><em>Practical value.</em></strong><em> The results of the research have practical implementation and will be included in the strategic documents of Kushugum territorial municipality.</em></p><p><strong><em>Key words:</em></strong><em> branding, decentralization, martial law, information activity, marketing communications, patriotism, positioning, public communication, territorial municipality.</em></p>

Process, methods and tools for ship damage stability and flooding risk assessment

Development of damage stability as a scientific subject, specifically in damage ship hydrodynamics and, generally, flooding risk assessment, has evolved primarily by inquisitive academics with support by people with vision and passion towards maritime safety enhancement from industry and Government, the latter in the wake of serious accidents. Notwithstanding this, the subject has seen remarkable development in a short period of time in terms of understanding process, and developing methods and tools for practical implementation of such developments. The stage has now been reached where large-scale EC and industry-funded projects are bringing all requisite knowledge and experience together towards implementation by end users with the view to institutionalizing such developments. The paper critically traces and presents key developments starting from basic concepts to a complete framework for performing numerical simulations of ship survivability in operational conditions in the seaway, leading to flooding risk assessment with application potential for new and existing ships with focus on the design phase but with operation potential in ship operation, the latter involving emergencies.

Clinical practice guidelines for the prevention of childhood obesity: A systematic review of quality and content.

SummaryObesity in childhood is a significant global issue, and prevention is key to reducing prevalence. Healthcare providers can play an important role in the prevention of obesity. The aim of this systematic review was to identify and evaluate clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) for preventing childhood obesity with a focus on the role of medical doctors. Peer‐reviewed literature and gray literature sources were searched for CPGs published from 2010 to 2021. Eleven CPGs were identified. Quality was evaluated using the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation Collaboration (AGREE II) instrument; seven CPGs were higher quality and four lower quality. Recommendations within the CPGs covered three main areas: growth monitoring, maintaining a healthy weight, and managing overweight. The importance of involving the whole family and healthy lifestyle behaviors was emphasized. The majority of the CPGs rated poorly in guideline applicability highlighting the need for practical implementation tools. Although our review identified a number of CPGs relevant to the prevention of obesity for doctors working with children and their families, more research is needed to produce high‐quality meaningful and applicable CPGs to maximize uptake, implementation, and ultimately, benefit to children and their families.

Tools for practical implementation of climate policy in transport: Econometric analysis of global experience

Subject. The article addresses the standards for greenhouse gas emissions that are currently considered as an effective tool for stimulating the development of alternative transport technologies. However, quantitative evaluation of their effectiveness is not available, which is partially explained by the lack of statistical information from different countries. Objectives. The purpose is to build econometric models of the influence of these standards on the electric car market development. Methods. The annual reports of the International Energy Agency on the development of the electric car market and the data of the Global EV Data Explorer statistics center serve as the information base of the study. We analyzed time series for indicators of sales of electric cars in different countries and built mixed models, considering the auto-regression component, which helps describe the internal dynamics of the electric car market. Results. The obtained regression coefficients in models for various countries can be used as interval evaluations for forecasting the growth of electric car sales in Russia, given the necessary conditions for developing a charging infrastructure and creating a system of incentives to match the cost of electric cars to that of traditional vehicles. Conclusions. These interval evaluations may be useful for further decisions on the development of charging infrastructure, planning for resource use for electricity generation, calculating optimal subsidy or tax relief to support electric cars, evaluating the economic consequences of introducing the new standards on CO2 emissions, etc.

Energy Efficiency and Pollution Control Through ICTs for Sustainable Development

The goal of this paper is to prove the necessity for a more thorough consideration and more active use of the modern ICTs for the technological support for the practical implementation of the SDGs’ ecological block in the aspect of the increase of energy efficiency and environmental pollution control. The originality of this paper is as follows: it develops a proprietary methodology of evaluating the technical readiness (level of the development of ICTs) for implementing the ecological block of the SDGs, which envisage the increase of energy efficiency and the growth of environmental pollution control. The highest (but moderate) technological readiness to implement the ecological block of the SDGs among developed countries has been shown by Canada (14.42 points) and Denmark (11.03 points), among developing countries—China (7.72 points). As a result, it has been proved that UCTs are a perspective tool of the practical implementation of the ecological block of the SDGs, stimulating the increase of energy efficiency and improving the environment pollution control. For developed countries, it is recommended to increase the use of Big data and AI analytics by 90.36% and increase the use of ICTs in E-government by 89.74%. This will allow achieving the growth of energy efficiency by 8.28% and the decrease of environmental pollution by 28.41%. In developing countries, it is recommended to increase world robots distribution by 14.17% and increase the use of ICTs in E-government by 76.74%. This will allow increasing the energy efficiency by 16.77% and decreasing the level of environmental pollution by 15.54%. This paper’s contribution to literature (innovative aspect of research) consists in filling the gap of the uncertainty (underdevelopment) of the tools for practical implementation of the SDGs ecological block. This paper has demonstrated the substantial potential of ICTs in the stimulation of the growth of energy efficiency and reduction of environmental pollution in developed and developing countries.

Recent Advances in Probabilistic Dose-Response Assessment to Inform Risk-Based Decision Making.

Paradoxically, risk assessments for the majority of chemicals lack any quantitative characterization as to the likelihood, incidence, or severity of the risks involved. The relatively few cases where "risk" is truly quantified are based on either epidemiologic data or extrapolation of experimental animal cancer bioassay data. The paucity of chemicals and health endpoints for which such data are available severely limits the ability of decisionmakers to account for the impacts of chemical exposures on human health. The development by the World Health Organization International Programme on Chemical Safety (WHO/IPCS) in 2014 of a comprehensive framework for probabilistic dose-response assessment has opened the door to a myriad of potential advances to better support decision making. Building on the pioneering work of Evans, Hattis, and Slob from the 1990s, the WHO/IPCS framework provides both a firm conceptual foundation as well as practical implementation tools to simultaneously assess uncertainty, variability, and severity of effect as a function of exposure. Moreover, such approaches do not depend on the availability of epidemiologic data, nor are they limited to cancer endpoints. Recent work has demonstrated the broad feasibility of such approaches in order to estimate the functional relationship between exposure level and the incidence or severity of health effects. While challenges remain, such as better characterization of the relationship between endpoints observed in experimental animal or in vitro studies and human health effects, the WHO/IPCS framework provides a strong basis for expanding the breadth of risk management decision contexts supported by chemical risk assessment.

Human Resources Based Organizational Data Mining (HRODM): Themes, Trends, Focus, Future

The purpose of this chapter is to provide a return on investment (ROI) based review of human resources based organizational data mining (HRODM). The objectives of this chapter are twofold: First, to offer an integrative analysis of the literature on the topic of HRODM to provide scholars and practitioners a comprehensive yet practical ROI-based view on the topic. Second, to provide practical implementation tools in order to assist decision makers concerning questions of whether and in which format to implement HRODM by highlighting specific directions as to where the expected ROI may be found. This chapter includes a four-step review and analysis methodology. The chapter provides theoretical and practical information for scholars and professionals aiming to study and adopt HRODM. The ROI-based approach to HRODM presented in this chapter provides a robust tool to compare and contrast different dilemma and associated value that can be derived from conducting the various types of HRODM projects. A framework is presented that aggregates the findings and clarifies how various HRODM tools influence ROI and how these relationships can be explained. Two examples are presented to demonstrate HRODM implementation.

Greater Engagement with Health Information Is Associated with Adoption and Maintenance of Healthy Lifestyle Behaviours in People with MS.

Health communication offers an important means for patients to make informed decisions for illness self-management. We assessed how the level of engagement with selected health information at baseline is associated with the adoption and maintenance of lifestyle behaviours at a 5-year follow-up in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Non-engagers were compared to engagers of information delivered online and print (medium), and with engagers who additionally attended a live-in workshop (high). Engagement was assessed against lifestyle behaviours by log-binomial regression. Information engagers had higher education, and were less likely to have severe disability, clinically significant fatigue, or obesity. Medium and high baseline engagement was associated with adopting healthy behaviours for omega 3 supplementation (RR = 1.70; 95%CI: 1.02–2.84), physical activity (RR = 2.16; 95%CI: 1.03–4.55), and dairy non-consumption (RR = 3.98; 95%CI: 1.85–8.56) at 5 years; associations were stronger among high engagers. Only high baseline engagement was associated with maintaining behaviours from baseline to 5 years, specifically for omega-3 (RR = 1.26; 95%CI: 1.06–1.49) and vitamin D supplementation (RR = 1.26; 95%CI: 1.04–1.54) and dairy non-consumption (RR = 1.47; 95%CI: 1.03–2.10). Health communication that includes face-to-face information delivery and practical tools for implementation in daily living may be optimal for adopting and maintaining lifestyle behaviours in people with MS.

Modern regional economic systems require a radical change in the strategy of innovative development, which, among other strategies, acquires a special meaning and needs to identify its features and priorities in the implementation of the directions of development of regional systems.The innovation activity strategy should be decisive among other strategies and should be designed to change the technical and technological base of regions, to influence information resources of a certain type of economic development and not only to technological upgrading, but also to a fundamental change in the entire resource base of the region in which priority will be be provided with the latest developments in the high-tech field.Aim and tasks. Identify the peculiarities of the strategy of innovation activity of regional economic systems, indicate the purpose of such strategy, its means and tools for practical implementation and outline the possible expected results in the near future.Research results. Based on practical materials collected when writing articles, found that under current conditions is extremely necessary strategy for active response to the innovation of modern regional economic systems.The lagging behind of leading countries in the field of innovative technologies becomes extremely critical and leads to economic and even military expansion of Ukraine.More developed countries that exploit the weakness and insecurity of our country pursue aggressive trade policies, impose their far better products than they are driven by economic dependence on. Ukraine needs a major innovation of the technological basis on an innovative basis, and regional economic systems must play a leading role in such an upgrade.Conclusion. Thus, the strategy of innovation activity of regional economic systems should be active, perhaps even aggressive and aimed at achieving strategic priorities in the creation of intellectual products.

Partner Build Grow: Resources to Sustain Partnerships and Advance Prevention Initiatives

Alignment of programs, practices, and policies by practitioners at the state and local levels can create health-promoting environments for all children. Such alignment, guided by principles of prevention science and public health, can enhance school–community partnerships involved with the mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being and positive development of children and youth. The key to success of such prevention approaches is sustaining the work over time. Partner Build Grow, an online Action Guide, supports sustainability through cross-sector collaborations and systems change to create school–community environments that promote equity. Informed by local and national experts along with field experience and application of best practices, Partner Build Grow presents a framework and provides the support to guide schools and communities through a process to build and sustain school–community partnerships. The Action Guide identifies four components critical for sustainability: Building an Action Team, Mapping Assets, Connecting With the Policy Environment, and Building a Communications Plan, and provides practical implementation tools for each area that can be customized for local contexts. Since the August 2015 Action Guide launch, we have tracked Web page views, unique users, registrants, and other analytics to measure engagement. Partner Build Grow presents Web-based resources and tools for local and state cross-sector collaboration to sustain effective practices and systems for positive and healthy youth development.

An ROI-based review of HR analytics: practical implementation tools

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to provide a return on investment (ROI) based review of human resources (HR) analytics. Practical implications The results of this study provide practical information for HR professionals aiming to adopt HR analytics. The ROI-based approach to HR analytics presented in this study provides a robust tool to compare and contrast different dilemma and associated value that can be derived from conducting the various types of HR analytics projects. Originality/value A framework is presented that aggregates the findings and clarifies how various HR analytics tools influence ROI and how these relationships can be explained.

ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE MARKETING IN NATURAL USE

Topicality. Each year, the issue of environmental responsibility of the business is becoming more and more relevant both in Ukraine and abroad, which is connected with globalization, increasing the threat of technogenic and environmental disasters, updating healthy lifestyles, socializing labor relations, etc. In today's economic environment, environmental liability is only a component of social responsibility. However, it should not be forgotten that during the period when the concept of social responsibility emerged, it was the environmental focus that was prioritized. In the holy of this, and ecological marketing of nature, as a kind of human activity aimed at meeting needs through exchange, should be environmentally responsible towards the consumer and producer of human goods. Underestimation of natural resources and environmental damage leads to distortion of indicators of economic development and progress, accompanied by the choice of inefficient socio-economic direction. In general terms, the concept of environmentally responsible business refers to the activity of each individual citizen, business structures that benefits the environment (or reduces the negative impact on the environment). In addition, this activity is not limited to certain laws and mandatory measures. The higher the economic value of natural objects, the greater the likelihood that the economic decisions made in various projects and programs will be ecologically balanced, take into account the priorities of environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources.Aim and tasks. The purpose of the article is to identify the conceptual foundations and methodological principles of environmentally responsible marketing in environmental management. To do this, the concept and essence of the concept of environmental responsibility, the tools for practical implementation of environmental responsibility of business and the methodology for assessing environmental liability should be defined. At the same time, despite the growing widespread adoption of the principles of corporate social responsibility and the recognition of the benefits that they give to both entrepreneurs and society, the limits of social responsibility remain rather blurred. Assessment of the level of implementation of environmental liability in the practice of enterprise management is proposed on the basis of an analysis of the impact of its activities on the environment.Research results. The conceptual bases and methodical principles of conducting ecologically responsible marketing in environmental management are considered. The concept of social responsibility is used in many spheres of activity, but only in the business context, pointing to specific areas of development, it becomes clear wording. This allows researchers and professionals to split CSR into specific types. The economic component is the most controversial and complex. Its sustainability and effectiveness depends on the role that the organization assumes, as well as the methodology for defining and measuring end-points. The ecological aspect of social responsibility exists in the block of economic responsibility of the enterprise, in legal liability, in the block of ethical responsibility, and also the aspect of sustainable development in the philanthropic block was allocated, and all three main components: economic, ecological and social are in close interconnection and interdependence . Social responsibility of entrepreneurship in the field of ecology, that is, environmental responsibility, becomes a vital factor of competition, since it is the level of environmental responsibility of business in the near future will determine the position of a company in the international market and in the eyes of consumers of its products. The advantages of implementing ecological activity within the framework of socially responsible work of the enterprise are considered. The tools of practical implementation of ecological responsibility of business are offered. Environmentally responsible marketing should use the following tools to address sustainable development issues: environmental impact assessment when developing strategies and plans for economic development; environmental audit; environmental insurance; certification for compliance with environmental standards; social and environmental reporting.Conclusions. There is no single approach to assessing the level of environmental responsibility of an enterprise, no normative document contains a single methodology for its definition. In our opinion, the overall level of environmental responsibility of an enterprise should be determined taking into account the impact of various economic, environmental and organizational factors through the integrated indicator of the overall level of economic responsibility of the enterprise, based on three partial integral ratios, namely: the integral coefficient of environmental damage; integral coefficient of influence of economic factors; the integral factor of the impact of environmental and economic factors.

Improving Quality of Radiotherapy Care Across Ontario Using a Community of Practice Approach

Background: Communities of Practice (CoPs) are defined as “a group of people who share a concern, a set of problems, or a passion about a topic, and who deepen their knowledge and expertise by interacting on an ongoing basis”. This concept was developed by Wegner and Lave in 1991, based on the theory that learning is more than just acquiring knowledge, but rather involves being socialized into a practice and developing an identity within a community. Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) is the provincial governments advisor on the cancer system and this work documents CCO's use of CoPs to help advance the quality of care in radiotherapy in Ontario, Canada. Aim: After the divestment of radiotherapy care from a centralised structure into individual hospitals in 2003/2004, there was a marked decrease in communication between the 14 Regional Cancer Centres (RCCs) in Ontario. As a means to rebuild the sense of community among radiation medicine programs (encompassing oncologists, physicists and radiation therapists), and to facilitate communication between the RCCs, the Radiation Treatment Program (RTP) at CCO developed and organized a CoP program. The three aims were knowledge creation, knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE), and community building. The ultimate goal was to improve the safety and quality of radiotherapy by reducing variation in practice between centers. Methods: Seven CoPs have been established since 2010; 3 are disease specific (head and neck, gynecologic and lung cancers) with multidisciplinary representation from oncologists, physicists, and radiation therapists. The other 4 CoPs are single-discipline (radiation therapy, physics, radiation safety officers, clinical specialist radiation therapists) to allow for practice specific knowledge-sharing and innovation. All CoPs are led and driven by volunteer members who identify and prioritize key quality issues and select corresponding projects to pursue. Results: CCO's CoPs have produced several knowledge products, including endorsed clinical guidance documents (5), and practical implementation tools (5), with over 20 additional products currently in development. Members have delivered numerous international and national KTE presentations and hosted 51 workshops. CoP guidance documents have 1: Improved safety ( “Implementation Strategy for Radiation Safety Straps” with 100% implementation across RCCs) 2: Standardized care ( “Contouring Nomenclature - Head and Neck Cancer”) with adoption of recommendations province-wide 3: Supported infrastructure improvements (“ MRI Simulation guideline document”). Conclusion: Overall, the RTP's CoP program has been effective in achieving its main three aims: knowledge creation, KTE, and community building. This approach of a member-driven voluntary CoP should be explored and modeled in other healthcare settings as a means to develop and share knowledge, reduce variation in care, standardize practice and improve patient care.

Marketing aspect of the innovation communications development

The article analyzes innovation communications (InCo) as a factor for the innovation networks development. It is shown that the necessity to use InCo practice is due to the complexity of processes in high-tech sectors and the relevance of the development of appropriate organizational and economic tools for marketing relations. The main goals of the innovation networks development are determined. In the context of the study of factors for the innovation networks development, the role of relationship marketing, which involves the constructing long-term mutually beneficial relations with key partners of the economic entity, should be noted. It is determined that relationship marketing acts as a tool for practical implementation of the concept of joint creation of value in modern institutional forms of interaction in the innovation system (innovation networks, in particular virtual, international clusters, alliances, etc.). It was emphasized that in order to achieve the network aspect of innovation development of the economy, it is necessary to use models of open innovation, that is, combining efforts of economic entities in the scientific and technical field and exchange of operating results. The main communication problems, which cause the blocking of innovation development are determined. The analysis made it possible to distinguish between the groups of methods and mechanisms that are most often considered in the InCo practice. InCo practices are considered in terms of the possibility of organizing and self-regulating systems.

Evaluating and implementing social–ecological systems: A comprehensive approach to sustainable fisheries

AbstractFisheries sustainability is recognized to have four pillars: ecological, economic, social (including cultural) and institutional (or governance). Although international agreements, and legislation in many jurisdictions, call for implementation of all four pillars of sustainability, the social, economic and institutional aspects (i.e., the “human dimensions”) have not been comprehensively and collectively addressed to date. This study describes a framework for comprehensive fisheries evaluation developed by the Canadian Fisheries Research Network (CFRN) that articulates the full spectrum of ecological, economic, social and institutional objectives required under international agreements, together with candidate performance indicators for sustainable fisheries. The CFRN framework is aimed at practical fisheries evaluation and management and has a relatively balanced distribution of elements across the four pillars of sustainability relative to 10 alternative management decision support tools and indicator scorecards, which are heavily focused on ecological and economic aspects. The CFRN framework has five immediate uses: (a) It can serve as a logic frame for defining management objectives; (b) it can be used to define alternate management options to achieve given objectives; (c) it can serve as a tool for comparing management scenarios/options in decision support frameworks; (d) it can be employed to create a report card for comprehensive fisheries management evaluation; and (e) it is a tool for practical implementation of an integrated social–ecological system approach.

The Drawing in the Future Students - Graphic Designers Teaching

The aim of the article is to identify the professional and pedagogical principles of the optimal and most effective methods of teaching such a fundamental academic discipline as Drawing in modern conditions, to determine the correlation between the traditions of the universal academic school and innovations in the teaching process. Methodology of the research is looking for new forms of teaching academic drawing i.e. a combination of the classical natural study is aimed at mastering the main principles of creation of three-dimensional image on the flat and the method of creative experiment, the essence of which is to integrate the fundamental artistic disciplines and the application of the latest technological tools for practical implementation of images. Scientific novelty of the paper is to expand the view of a constructive approach to the teaching drawing and of the specialists’ development. Conclusions. The importance of drawing in design education in the conditions of rapid development of digital technologies is emphasized, the correlation between the traditions of the academic school and new achievements in the field of design is determined, the essence of the offered methodology is described and the task of the teacher is set.

Advancement in GSM Network to Access Cloud Services

Cloud services are offering a large number of utilities to the mobile users. Mobile users can share, store, develop, compute and many other services on the cloud. Due to extensive utilization of cloud services by the mobile users, security concerns are also evolving with the same pace. Among different security problems, secure access to the cloud services (cloud data utilization, data storage) is also a difficult and challenging task. This paper highlights the security concerns, particularly addresses the issue of secure access to cloud infrastructure, Such as access the cloud services securely by the mobile users. As Elastic Cloud Computing is valid only for Amazon, MLaden model is theoretical based model and not implemented practically, Wayne model enhances the end user security but not proposed tool for practical implementation. Intention of this paper is to propose mechanism to securely access the cloud services using GSM band. Only defined frequency band of GSM will provide the access to the cloud services. Users will be restricted to use the particular frequency to access the cloud services.
