Most of the population in Jayagiri Village work as employees, laborers, entrepreneurs, employees and farming. For potential commodities in this area, there are several home industries as well as in the field of agribusiness. One of the agricultural commodities found in this area is the Jayagiri Coffee product which is ready to be consumed or ready to serve anytime anywhere. The development of information technology is very rapid. One example is the development of the internet, its existence has an influence on SMEs. related to the world of business or business. In addition to simplifying and accelerating the process of communication and information, information technology has many conveniences and functions from the use of digital media, encouraging the public or entrepreneurs to take advantage of the digital media in every activity. Other functions of using digital media include: branding, sharing, promotion, and marketing. Based on this reality, efforts to overcome problems in terms of marketing for MSMEs of Jayagiri Coffee. The next stage is to prepare so that MSME actors can be independent and can create webbs and understand E-commerce. Study of Potential of Cascade Direct Use to Utilize Exhaust Steam from Back Pressure Turbine at Ulumbu Geothermal Power Plant

The Indonesian government has fixated Flores Island for geothermal utilization due to its potential to reach about 776 MW. Of these potentials, one that has been utilized is at PLTP Ulumbu with a 10 MW energy reservation. 2 backpressure units at PLTP Ulumbu generate power 2×2.5 MW. The exhaust on the backpressure unit of the PLTP Ulumbu has an average temperature of 99°C with enthalpy ranging from 2,430 to 2,435 kJ/kg. Instead of releasing the steam to the environment, it would be wiser to utilize the brine’s heat through cascade direct use based on Lindal Diagram. The cascading system will be arranged from high to low temperature to use excessive energy efficiently. The direct use application is selected based on the best potential-for-fit commodities and the energy of the heat source. This paper aims to perform a feasibility study of cascade direct use of geothermal energy that uses an exhaust steam backpressure turbine at Ulumbu geothermal power plant. The Ulumbu area will be transformed as the center of agricultural, stockbreeding, factory, and geothermal tourism. From potential commodities, the four applications selected are coffee bean drying, egg-hatching incubator, brick factory, and new tourism site. Additionally, several preliminary scenarios are available regarding plant development components (e.g., stakeholder and partnership type). Hence, the comprehensive determination of the ‘best scenario’ will be discussed in terms of feasibility and economic attractiveness.

Coffee Spent Ground-Based Biochar’s Properties and Application: A Systematic Review

Abstract Coffee is one of the most potential commodities in the world, being the second most traded commodity. Currently, it is consumed as the second-largest beverage around the world and has become part of the lifestyle of today’s generation. As a result of the increasing number of its utilisation, it generates a considerable amount of waste, the coffee spent grounds (CSG) is one of the instances. In general, the CSG that are produced are only disposed of directly (landfill). On the other hand, CSG still contains carbohydrates, oil, nitrogen and carbon which have the potential to be used to produce several products as a means of valorization, including biodiesel, biopolymers, composites, compost and biochar. The purpose of this study was to systematically review the use of CSG as a feedstock of biochar, conditions of biochar production and application as an adsorbent of chemicals causing environmental damage. The research method used a systematic review of the selected journals on the topics, then was further analyzed both in the theory and content. The results of the literature review suggest that CSGs have potential use as a feedstock for biochar production and have been researched for an adsorbent on a wide range of pollutants. The CSG biochars are effective adsorbents for cadmium (II), Tetracycline, Metal Cu, Sulfamethoxazole compounds and are ineffective on Herbicide.

Pembelajaran Partisipatif Secara Daring bagi Petani Sorgum di Kabupaten Ende, Nusa Tenggara Timur

Dryland is a potential food production in the future and sorghum is one of the potential commodities to be developed. Sorghum has been cultivated by a small number of people in Ende Regency, such as in Kotabaru and Nangapanda sub-districts. However, the cultivation has not yet applied cultivation techniques to achieve production optimization. In addition, there are still many limitations in knowledge of processing the production of sorghum seeds, leaves, and stems. Farmers have not enjoyed and received the benefits of cultivation so far. The purpose of this study is to increase awareness, understanding, and knowledge about the importance of sorghum to support food security and farmer welfare in Ende Regency, and to map the potential of online learning for farmers. The online learning was carried out in Kotabaru Village with the target being the Kema Sa Ate Women Farmers Group (KWT), which are sorghum cultivators. Learning is carried out using the lecture plus method (lecture-discussion) using a zoom meeting. Learning materials about harvesting and post-harvesting sorghum. The obstacle faced in this online learning is a device that does not support it. This problem was solved by involving a learning facilitator played by Field Agricultural Extension (PPL). Participants' initial knowledge before the training program was 3.8 and after training the final knowledge was 7.2. Based on the initial and final knowledge, it can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge of 89.5%. The level of participant satisfaction with the 5 indicators proposed in the evaluation of the learning implementation process is very high, more than 80%. The level of participants' satisfaction with the five indicators in the evaluation of the training process also increased. More than 90% for problem solving in the field, speaker competence, and the level of urgency of information, while for media innovation and training methods more than 80%.

SEAWEED TISSUE CULTURE TECHNIQUE IN BALAI PERIKANAN BUDIDAYA AIR PAYAU (BPBAP) SITUBONDO

Kappapyhcus alvarezii seaweed or more commonly known as Eucheuma cottonii is a potential commodity to be developed because seaweed has many benefits. The problem found in the development of seaweed in Indonesia is the number of pests and diseases in seaweed, especially ice-ice. In vitro culture techniques have become an alternative to help overcome the problems that are often faced in the provision of seeds through conventional means. There are 6 stages in seaweed tissue culture, namely broodstock acclimatization, callus induction, callus/micropropagule regeneration, micropropagule regeneration, plantlet acclimatization and seed propagation in the sea. During the observation, water quality was still in the normal range, namely temperatures ranging from 25-30 0C, pH between 8.16-8.35 and salinity 34-36 ppt.

The Potential Swamp Land Development to Support Food Estates Programmes in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia

The objective of this study is to analyse the potentials, obstacles and socio-economic condition of swamp land development for food estate programmes in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The results for qualitative descriptive and quantitative analysis showed there were approximately 33.4 million hectares of swamp land area, 9.5 million of which have the potential for agricultural land, particularly for rice. The rationale of food estate location are a wide area of land availability, with abundant water resources. The main obstacles of land use of swamp land are: (a) low soil pH (acid); (b) low NPK content in the soil; (c) high Al and Fe solubility (toxic); and (d) tidal influence such that during the wet season the land is flooded and during the dry season the land is dry. This research recommends that swamp land development for food estates requires: water management infrastructure rehabilitation, land management, adaptive and potential commodity selection and farmer institution strengthening and facilitation.

The Effect of Brown Algae (Sargassum sp) Extract on Wound Healing

Backgroud: The wound care method that is currently developing uses the principle of moisture balance which is also known as the modern dressing method. Seaweed is a potential commodity in Indonesia, which has been widely used as a medicinal ingredient. However, the use of seaweed in the form of hydrogel ointment in the treatment of burns has not been widely studied. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of giving seaweed extract (Sargassum sp.) in the form of hydrogel ointment to burns. Methods: The design in this study was an experimental study with a randomized post-test only control group design, using musmusculus mice. This study was divided into 4 groups, group 1 was a negative control without treatment, group 2 was a group with burns and was given bioplacenton, group 3 was a burn group treated with 5% Sargassum sp extract hydrogel ointment and group 4 was a burn group given 5% ointment. Sargassum sp extract hydrogel ointment 10%. The treatment was carried out for 14 days and evaluated the diameter of the burn and the percentage of burn healing. Results: The results of this study showed that the difference in burn diameter at 0 days and after 14 days in the negative control group experienced a difference of 1.2 cm with a healing percentage of 44.85%. In treatment group 1, there was a difference in diameter of 1.2 cm, with a healing percentage of 49.41%, the 2-day treatment group obtained a difference in diameter of 1.2 cm, with a healing percentage of 50.31%, and in the positive control group a wound diameter of 1.0 cm, while the percentage of cure is 55.75%. The results of statistical tests on the percentage of wound healing between groups were not significantly different. Conclusion: In this study the seaweed extract (Sargassum sp.) formed in the hydrogel ointment did ot affect the healing of burns, this may be due to the long duration of administration.

SEGMENTATION, TARGETING, AND MARKETING MIX STRATEGIES OF PALM SUGAR INDUSTRIES IN BANYUMAS REGENCY, INDONESIA

Palm sugar is one of the potential commodities in Indonesia, especially in the Banyumas Regency. This commodity has been marketed domestically and also exported to various countries. Its success cannot be separated from the marketing strategy carried out by the palm sugar industries. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of segmentation, targeting, and marketing mix of the palm sugar industries in Banyumas Regency. The method used is a qualitative research which is analyzed with an interactive model. The results of this study indicate that there are similarities in marketing strategies in segmentation strategies, targeting between industries and slight differences in marketing mix strategies.

A Bag for All Systems: Historicizing Shopping Bags in Eastern European Consumer Culture, 1980–2000

Amidst widespread shortages in the 1980s, consumers in late communist-era Eastern Europe strategically carried shopping bags with them everywhere in case an opportunity to pick up scarce goods arose. After 1989, the routine use of reusable string shopping bags declined in favor of single-use plastic bags provided in supermarkets. Over time, however, string bags were widely reconstituted as a popular nostalgic commodity. This paralleled, in reverse, the trajectory of plastic bags, especially those bearing Western branding, which had been desired but scarce commodities in the 1980s before postcommunist reforms rendered them ubiquitous. In this article, I argue that the shopping bag’s function as both an instrument of consumption and a potential commodity in and of itself helps us better historicize how late communist shortage, the rupture of 1989, and the ensuing period of change transformed the perception and memory of the role of material objects in late twentieth-century Eastern Europe. To ascertain how their embedded meaning and social function has been constantly repurposed, I analyze representations of shopping bags in print and media culture from the 1980s and 1990s as well as nostalgic sources created more recently, alongside anecdotes and recollections in academic and commercial texts.

Manual screen-printing training for rice packaging labeling in Sidomulyo Village, Kutai Kartanegara Regency

Sidomulyo Village is one of the villages in Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. To alleviate poverty in Sidomulyo Village, many millennial farmers have emerged, one of which is the Independent Farmer Youth Group with rice as a potential commodity. One of the agricultural products from this group is rice with several varieties including Mikongga and Mayas Rapak with each harvest reaching 3-4 tons/ha. The rice produced is very abundant but does not yet have a brand and label on the packaging. Based on this condition, the solution that can be offered to the Mandiri Tani Pemuda Group is training in making labels on plastic packaging for rice using manual screen-printing techniques. The method used is the lecture method and training in manual screen printing for plastic packaging for rice. The result of this training is that all participants can make rice packaging labels by manual screen printing.

The effect of biochar application and number of shoots on the growth of ratoon sorghum in vertisol soil

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.)) is one of the potential commodities that can be developed to support food and energy diversification programs in Indonesia. It has the advantage that one of them can be ratoon. However, the yield of ratoon is lower than that of the main crop. The research on ratoon sorghum was carried out in vertisol soil. This aims of the study to determine the interaction between biochar application and number of shoots on the growth of ratoon sorghum in vertisol soil, to obtain the right dose of biochar and to get the appropriate number of shoots to increase the yield of ratoon sorghum. The study was arranged in a factorial manner using a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD). The treatment factors were biochar (without biochar, 2.5 tons/ha, 5 tons/ha and 7.5 tons/ha), and the number of shoots (1 shoot, 2 shoots, 3 shoots, and 4 shoots) at the 5% level. The results showed that there was no interaction between biochar treatment and the number of shoots on the variable of panicle sorghum, weight of fresh stover, and weight of dry stover. The results showed an interaction on the variable of plants height observation. Provides growth results that are not significantly different in the parameters of plant height, panicle length and panicle weight. Gives significantly different results on panicle length, weight of fresh stover, and weight of dry stover. The number of 1 shoots produced the highest growth for all observed variables.

The performance of paludiculture commodities at different peat depths in Central Kalimantan

Paludiculture is one of the alternative efforts to restore degraded peatland. It involves rewetting, revegetation and revitalization of local livelihood. This research evaluated three paludiculture demonstration plots at Central Kalimantan, one in the shallow peat of Pilang village and two plots in the deep peat of Tumbang Nusa village. The plots were evaluated in terms of the plant’s growth, productivity, commodities introduced and environmental monitoring, including water table, soil physical and chemical properties, carbon stocks and CO2 emission. The results showed that the three plots were categorized as “compromised” paludiculture plots because some of the commodities were not local peatland species. Belangeran (Shorea balangeran) and horticultural plant species such as rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum) and pineapple (Ananas comosus) showed good growth performance. Liberica coffee (Coffea liberica) was not suitable for deep peat due to its low survival rate and poor growth. The result also showed that soil peat characteristics of the sites were still in good condition; however, the impact of peatland utilization should have been monitored to support land-use sustainability. Moreover, stingless bee cultivation and vegetables could become potential commodities to be developed in shallow and deep peatland.

Efektifitas Fermentor Fuzzy Digital Terhadap Kualitas Mutu Biji Kopi

Coffee is one of the potential plantation commodities in Indonesia. Currently, coffee processing has been a common practice in creating processed coffee with a distinctive aroma and taste through the fermentation process to increase the selling price of coffee in the market. This study aims to test the extent of fermentor designed with the application of digital fuzzy to be able to provide a perfect fermentation process so that it can improve the quality of coffee beans or ground coffee. The method used is a Completely Randomized Design to see whether fermentation using a fermenter can improve the quality of coffee beans. Based on the research conducted, the results obtained that the performance of the fermenter is very good, characterized by no overshoot and offset. Testing the quality of the fermented coffee beans showed that the pulp was easily separated, the color of the beans was darker, it is notated by L* = 31.63, the total acid was about 20%, and the pH of coffee products is 6 which is classified as safe for consumption.

Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Pengembangan Kapasitas Usaha Klasterisasi Pengolahan Buah Nanas Menjadi Sari Buah dan Selai Nanas

Pineapple was a potential commodity in Kediri Regency, favored because of its sweet taste mixed with acid which contains nutrients and antioxidants. The community service activity involves Faculty of Agriculture UNISKA in collaboration with the Pineapple Farmer Group and PT. PNM Kediri Branch. The purpose of the activity was identifying problems with pineapple farmers through survey activities, solving problems through training activities. Pineapple processing in Kediri district was not yet fully implemented. Still maintaining sales in fresh form so it was necessary to add value to the product. The training was held in September 2019. The tools and materials used were a set of cooking utensils and pineapple fruit. The expected output of activities was in the form of a cluster map of pineapple plant farmers in Kediri district and product diversification from pineapple plants. The results obtained were that farmers can produce fruit juice, pineapple jam and pineapple business assistance.

The ARIMA Box-Jenkins Method has been used to Predict the Price of Large Curly Red Chilis

Chili is one of the potential commodities based on market demand and high economic value. The price of chili has fluctuated every month so that this commodity contributes to inflation in food that can affect overall general inflation. Thus, an analysis of forecasting prices for large curly red chili is needed so thar people and farmers do not need to worry and can prepare for future risks. Price forecasting in this study uses the Box-Jenkins ARIMA method. The data used is the price of lare curly red chili prices from December 2015 to April 2020. The data to be analyzed is then made into several forms of the ARIMA model and one will be chosen as the best ARIMA model. Based on the results of the study, ARIMA (1,1,3) is the best model. Thus the forecast results obtained for the price of large curly red chili in Magelang City from May 2020 to February 2021. With this research it is expected ti be able to assist the Depasrtment of Industry and Trade of Magelang City in making decisions related to the price of lare curly red chilli which fluctuates every year.

Komoditas Unggulan Potensial Jenis Empon-Empon Untuk Meningkatkan Produktivitas Hutan Rakyat Di Ciamis Jawa Barat

Private forest farming has been a new source of family income for farmers in the Ciamis District. However, it has not been could to fully support the living needs of farmer families. Therefore, a strategy is needed to increase the productivity of private forest lands wich can meet the short-term and long-term needs of farmers. This study aims to identify the superior commodity types of empon-empon wich has the potential to increase the productivity of community forest lands. The study desk method was used in this research by utilizing statistical data on the production of biopharma plants in Ciamis Regency and West Java Province. To find out the superior commodities, a Location Quotient analysis approach was used. There were six types of empon-empon that have been cultivated in Ciamis Regency, including Zingiber officinale, Amomum compactum, Kaepferia galanga, Curcuma longa, Alpinia galanga, and Curcuma zanthorrhiza. Amomum compactum types is considered as a potential commodity to be developed on private forest land because it has a comparative advantage with LQ value>1.

Transparent nanocomposites with enhanced performances from poly(propylene carbonate) and silica

AbstractIn this study, silica nanoparticles with a refractive index matching PPC and a diameter smaller than the visible light wavelength were chosen to prepare enhanced PPC/silica nanocomposites by a simple melt compounding method. The result exhibited all the nanocomposites possessed excellent transparency (about 90%), even in the nanocomposite with a silica content of 10 wt%. For PPC/silica nanocomposites, the percolation threshold was determined to be 7.5 wt% based on the dynamic rheological behavior and percolation theory. Moreover, the overall performance of the PPC‐based nanocomposite with a silica content of 7.5% is the best. The optimal nanocomposite showed a Young's modulus of 3792 MPa, a yield strength of 46.5 MPa, a storage modulus of 3812 MPa and a highest temperature at maximum weight‐loss rate (Tmax, 309°C). These characteristics are very important for potential commodity applications of PPC.

Karakteristik dan Sifat Tepung Singkong Termodifikasi (Mocaf) dan Manfaatnya pada Produk Pangan

ABSTRACTCassava (Manihot esculenta crantz) has a carbohydrate content of 34%, which is one of the potential commodities in Indonesia. Widely, cassava is used by the people of Indonesia as a staple food and can be processed directly into various local food products. Modern modification of cassava flour currently uses technology that includes physical, chemical or microbiological modifications. Mocaf (Modified Cassava Flour) is a modification of cassava flour using a fermentation technique. The modification process of cassava flour aims to change the characteristics of the flour produced. Changes in the characteristics of the modified cassava flour mocaf encourage its use to become more varied. The stages of making mocaf flour are: cutting / slicing cassava into chips with a thickness ranging from 0.5-1 cm, soaking and fermenting, draining and drying, and the final stage of milling / flouring. The fermentation process is an important process in making mocaf, fermentation involves microbes from both bacteria and fungi. One of the bacteria that is widely used is lactic acid bacteria (LAB) species Lactobacillus plantarum. The fermentation process lasts for 36-72 hours, resulting in an increase in the protein content of mocaf flour. The results obtained by substitution of mocaf flour to wheat flour in wet bread and noodle products ranged from 20%-40%, for cookies products it could reach 100%. Production of PHB From CO2-Derived Acetate With Minimal Processing Assessed for Space Biomanufacturing

Providing life-support materials to crewed space exploration missions is pivotal for mission success. However, as missions become more distant and extensive, obtaining these materials from in situ resource utilization is paramount. The combination of microorganisms with electrochemical technologies offers a platform for the production of critical chemicals and materials from CO2 and H2O, two compounds accessible on a target destination like Mars. One such potential commodity is poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB), a common biopolyester targeted for additive manufacturing of durable goods. Here, we present an integrated two-module process for the production of PHB from CO2. An autotrophic Sporomusa ovata (S. ovata) process converts CO2 to acetate which is then directly used as the primary carbon source for aerobic PHB production by Cupriavidus basilensis (C. basilensis). The S. ovata uses H2 as a reducing equivalent to be generated through electrocatalytic solar-driven H2O reduction. Conserving and recycling media components is critical, therefore we have designed and optimized our process to require no purification or filtering of the cell culture media between microbial production steps which could result in up to 98% weight savings. By inspecting cell population dynamics during culturing we determined that C. basilensis suitably proliferates in the presence of inactive S. ovata. During the bioprocess 10.4 mmol acetate L –1 day–1 were generated from CO2 by S. ovata in the optimized media. Subsequently, 12.54 mg PHB L–1 hour–1 were produced by C. basilensis in the unprocessed media with an overall carbon yield of 11.06% from acetate. In order to illustrate a pathway to increase overall productivity and enable scaling of our bench-top process, we developed a model indicating key process parameters to optimize.

Penentuan Komoditas Unggulan Perikanan Tangkap di Perairan Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung

consisting of 954 islands with 218.236 tonnes capture fisheries potential. As a leading economic sector in the region, capture fisheries should be maintained sustainably. One of actions that can be done is focusing fisheries development on prime commodities. Purpose of this study were to identify prime commodities and potential commodities in Bangka Belitung waters. Location Quotient (LQ) Analysis, Shift Share (SS), and Specialization Index (SI) were used for data analysis. The result showed that there were three prime commodities i.e., red snapper (Lutjanus campecanus), mackerel (Scomberomorus commerson), and blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus). Other potential fisheries commodities in Bangka Belitung Province were grouper (Plectropomus leopardus), yellowtail (Caesio erythrogaster), sea catfish (Arius thalassinus), fork-tailed threadfin bream (Nemipterus furcocus), stingray (Dasyatis sp), and crab (Scylla serrata).
