SOSIALISASI KEWIRAUSAHAAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT DAN MOTIVASI SISWA SMA CAHAYA KUDUS

Entrepreneurial activities are activities that are one solution to earning income. In this service activity, the resource person carried out this activity at Cahaya Kudus High School, Muara Karang, North Jakarta. This theme was raised with the aim of providing knowledge and insight to students regarding how to do entrepreneurship in a simple way, providing motivation to students to become entrepreneurs throughtheir talents and field observations to find out the needs of society. This is also to erode the previous view which said that entrepreneurship is difficult, there will be many obstacles that arise, starting from capital problems, fear of trying, innovation and intention, so that in the end you experience failure. In fact, all of this can be overcome if the person has positive and creative thinking and prepares everythingcarefully, starting from planning, forming an ownership structure, selecting products and services as well as strategies for starting a business. In essence, entrepreneurship is simple. The obstacles that arise are caused internally. Make everything as simple as possible and don't get caught up in your own thoughts and heads.

BERPIKIR POSITIF DAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP PENYESUAIN DIRI MAHASISWA PERTUKARAN PELAJAR KAMPUS MERDEKA

This research was conducted with the aim of observing the influence of positive thinking and family support on the adjustment of overseas students participating in the batch 2 student exchange program. This study used a quantitative method with 140 students from all cities in Indonesia as subjects who were recorded in the Independent Campus Student Exchange Batch program. 2 which is determined by random sampling technique. Data was collected by giving three scales to the subject, namely the positive thinking scale, family support scale, and self-adjustment scale which are reliable and valid. The results of data analysis in this study used multiple regression which showed that there was a positive influence between positive thinking and family support together on self-adjustment in batch 2 exchange students.

Curriculum changes are a common occurrence to test the development of a country's education level. The Kurikulum 2013 (lit. 2013 Curriculum, K-13 or Kurtilas) brings significant changes to the learning curriculum, one of which is the loss of English language learning at the elementary school (SD) level. This has led to many private Kindergarten (TK) educational institutions emphasizing English language learning in their schools to make up for the absence of English language lessons at a higher level. This is also what Aufa Saif Kindergarten, North Serpong, does. Having students with different backgrounds due to its strategic location, Kindergarten Aufa Saif Islamic School tries to unite the mindset of children from different environmental backgrounds with one lesson that can be accepted by various groups. By considering the characteristics of these partners, the community service team ran a community service activity solution for the educational aspect of English learning for kindergarten children, namely by implementing teaching and learning activities using the Suggestopedia method. We consider this method to be the most appropriate for kindergarten children because it is entertaining and does not make them bored. This method is expected to instill a sense of interest in speaking English in kindergarten children, especially in Aufa Saif Islamic School Kindergarten students as partners of this service activity. Applying positive thinking in learning English is the main focus of the community service program this time, which is adapted to current issues.

Why self-care and mentorship are vital for college students

College is a big adjustment for students, and it doesn’t come without its challenges, including being in a new place with new responsibilities. It is a stressful time that presents new obstacles and frustrations that can lead to increased anxiety, depression, and mental health challenges. As students engage on campus and return to in-person classes, it is vital for university faculty to create activities that promote positive thinking and increase self-confidence in these young learners. Faculty mentorship combined with the development of self-care activities are vital techniques to train students how to cope effectively throughout college and life.

The moderating effects of positive thinking on the relationship between job stress and turnover intention

PurposeThe purpose of this study was to test the moderating effects of positive thinking (PT) on the relationship between job stress (JS) and turnover intention (TI).Design/methodology/approachThe study was based on a questionnaire distributed among 275 employees at a convenience store business. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were tested before the data were collected, and hierarchical regression analysis was used to test the moderating effects.FindingsJS had negative effects on employee TI with statistical significance, while PT functioned to moderate the relationship between JS and employee TI with statistical significance.Research limitations/implicationsThe moderating effects of PT among employees in the convenience store business were explained clearly. This research supports and expands the broaden-and-build theory in explaining the effects of PT or attitudes to help employees cope with problems and obstacles, create new things and perceive problems as challenges to be overcome.Practical implicationsManagers with an awareness of PT can help employees lower JS, increase organizational commitment and improve employees' PT to reduce the turnover rate.Originality/valueThis study contributes to the literature about organizational behavior and human resource management in dealing with job turnover by clarifying the moderating effects of PT on the relationship between JS and TI.

Donald Trump: Pontifex Minimus of the Civil Religion of the Big Lie

ABSTRACT The American president is the pontifex maximus of the American Civil Religion (ACR). While each U.S. president has their own ‘take’ on ACR, they all endorse democratic values and serve as national pastors. All until Donald J. Trump. This article argues that Donald Trump is the first pontifex minimus in American history: the first leader to self-consciously endorse an anti-democratic civil religion as president. After providing the necessary background in ACR studies and the presidency, it explores Trump's religious values (derived from Norman Vincent Peale's power of positive thinking) and his political beliefs (especially his deep hostility toward democratic governance). It documents both throughout his presidency, but argues that they mature in the waning days of his term. Trump's decision to strike at the heart of the election ritual—the time during which American politics is at its most vulnerable—establishes him as the pontifex minimus of the civil religion of the Big Lie (CRBL).

Analysis of Local Wisdom Values in the Seumapa Tradition in Society in Bireuen Regency

The purpose of this study is to analyze the values of local wisdom and the implementation of the Seumapa tradition. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, data collection techniques using the stages of observation, interviews and documentation with the aim of studying the values of local wisdom in the seumapa tradition in the people of Bireuen Regency. The results of the study found that there are local wisdom values in the art of saying seumapa, namely the value of welfare and prosperity which consists of the values of hard work, discipline, education, health, mutual cooperation, gender management, preservation, cultural creativity, care for the environment, and values of peace or justice, consisting of politeness, honesty, social solidarity, harmony (conflict resolution), commitment, positive thinking, gratitude, gratitude to the divine. The local wisdom values contained in the seumapa tradition have been implemented in the daily life of the Acehnese people, especially in Bireuen District. This can be seen from glorifying the guests who attend our residence along with events at party receptions, where when going to the wedding party house and the funeral home, the whole village community will visit the party or funeral houses in their village and in neighboring villages. As long as it becomes an art of speech that has local Acehnese wisdom values that are in accordance with Aqidah and muamalah in accordance with the teachings of the Islamic Religion adhered to by the people of Aceh, especially Bireuen Regency.

Dhikr therapy training to overcome anxiety in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis which spreads through the air and is one of the biggest causes of death in the world. Changes in post-TB conditions, such as weight loss and difficulty in carrying out activities, cause patients to be afraid of their condition. Excessive fear is not balanced with positive thoughts and activities, resulting in psychological stress. The aim of this community service is to apply dhikr therapy to overcome the anxiety of patients suspected of tuberculosis. The implementation of this program is in the form of providing material on the concept of anxiety and dhikr therapy in overcoming anxiety through lectures, videos, questions and answers, giving booklets, and practicing dhikr therapy. This training showed success even though it was not optimal, this was proven by the reduction in anxiety levels of tuberculosis sufferers after being given dhikr therapy. Apart from that, from the observation, tuberculosis sufferers are no longer anxious and more cheerful.

Strategi Koping Guru dalam Penanganan Siswa di Kelas Rendah Sekolah Luar Biasa

Teaching children with special needs in lower grades presents unique challenges that often lead to stress among educators. These children's behaviors frequently deviate from typical classroom conduct, and teachers may perceive them as inappropriate or disruptive. For instance, some students may shout for attention, which can be demanding for teachers already juggling the needs of multiple students. Special education teachers shoulder heavier responsibilities compared to their counterparts in regular schools. Notably, not all teachers possess the self-control required to manage negative behaviors during the teaching process. To navigate these stressful situations, educators employ coping strategies that depend on their individual coping resources. This study aimed to explore the coping strategies employed by lower-grade teachers in Special Schools, using qualitative methods. Nine teachers from Special Schools served as informants, and data were collected through interviews and observations, validated through triangulation, and analyzed following Miles and Huberman's interactive data analysis model. The research findings identified various stressors for Special School teachers in Surakarta, including challenging student behavior, difficulty understanding children with special needs, non-verbal and non-reading students, those not yet toilet-trained, parental demands, suboptimal classrooms, and inconsistent treatment. Teachers' coping strategies varied, encompassing positive thinking to address stress stemming from students' behavior and special needs comprehension, self-control for managing challenging behavior and parental demands, taking responsibility for addressing these stressors, planned problem-solving for behavioral and parental challenges, concrete problem-solving for specific issues, and seeking social support from family and colleagues to cope with overall stressors. In conclusion, teaching children with special needs in lower grades is a demanding task that can lead to stress for educators. However, this research sheds light on the coping strategies employed by these teachers, emphasizing the importance of a diverse toolkit to effectively manage the multifaceted challenges they face in Special Schools.

STRATEGIES FOR COPING ANXIETY BY THE STUDENTS IN CONDUCTING ORAL PRESENTATIONS

The purpose of this study is to cope students’ anxiety in conducting oral presentation in English for Interpersonal Communication course by applying strategies proposed by Kondo. The students taking part in the first semester in English of Interpersonal Communication course were chosen as the subject of this research. This research used descriptive qualitative method according to student’s experiences. Interviews were performed to collect data. The results show that there are several students show speech anxiety in delivering their oral presentation. Some students have also done some strategies such as concentration, positive thinking, preparation, and relaxation. Besides, the students have several practices every day to cope their anxiety.

Social participation, positive affect, and negative affect in postoperative patients with hip fractures: A cross-sectional study.

This study investigated the social participation, positive affect (PA), and negative affect (NA) of patients with hip fractures after surgery and determined their possible predictive factors. We used a cross-sectional study design to recruit 154 participants with hip fractures post-surgery. Assessment tools included the Barthel Index, the Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire, the Assessment of Life Habits, and the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule. Patients with better functioning in daily living activities experienced more social participation, higher PA, and lower NA. Patients with more positive automatic thoughts experienced more social participation and higher PA. Patients with more negative automatic thoughts experienced more social participation, lower PA, and higher NA. Early rehabilitation and psychosocial interventions should be provided for postoperative hip fracture patients to improve their activities of daily living and emotional well-being.

Akidah Akhlak Teacher’s Strategy in Forming Students’ Responsible Attitude

This paper examines the Akidah Akhlak teacher's strategy, obstacles, and solutions in forming students' responsible attitudes. The research uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results indicate that the Akidah Akhlak teacher's strategy in forming the students’ responsible attitude is providing reward and punishment, motivation, and a personal approach. Meanwhile, the Akidah Akhlak teacher's obstacles in forming students' responsible attitudes come from the student's personality, the parents who are less supportive, and the wrong association. The solutions carried out by the Akidah Akhlak teacher come from the cooperation between the teacher and the student’s parents and building intensive communication and come from the teacher who gives positive thoughts to students and puts a little positive support to students in giving assignments. This research can provide an overview and contribution to increasing the students’ responsible attitude that must always be sought by the teacher, and the importance of the parent’s role in constructing a responsible attitude of students.

Why Personal Characteristics of Innovative Leadership Can Drive Organizational Competitive Advantage? A Literature Review with Integrative Approach

This research is qualitative research that investigates the multi-characteristics of innovative leadership that drives the organization's competitive advantage by applying an integrative review of literature approach. Data and information are adopted from research outputs published in indexed and reputable journals in 2012-2021. Based on several articles reviewed the author found that there are three core competencies of innovative leaders: managerial, conceptual and team-building skills. These embedded competencies can shape innovative attitude and behaviour of subordinates which consistently and sustainably will enhance individual and collective productivity. In the long term it can boost organizational competencies in all level of management hierarchy. Personal characteristics of innovative leader consist of (1) clear and strong vision; (2) consistent integrity; (3) partnership working; (4) two-way communication; (5) managing uncertain changing environments; (6) thinking creatively and innovatively; (7) understand the issues comprehensively; (8) problems solving; (9) positive and energetic thinking; (10) mental health stability; and (11) adequate physical health. In principle, personal characteristics of characteristic of innovative leader consist of hard and soft personal unique competencies. The results of this research study reveal that the personal characteristics of innovative leadership as a role model are able to build subordinates' innovative behaviour which is consistently and continuously able to increase the organization's competitive advantage.

A Study On Students’ Strategies To Reduce Speaking Anxiety

The purpose of this study is to know the factors causing students’ speaking anxiety and to know the students’ strategies to reduce their speaking anxiety. This study is focus on factor that caused students’ strategies to reduce their speaking anxiety. This study is qualitative descriptive. The participants of this study were fourth semester of Hamzanwadi University. The researcher took 16 participants. The were gathered through conducting observation, deep interview, and field notes. The results showed that the factors caused students’ speaking anxiety were fear of making mistake, limited exposure to English, and gap of competence. Because of those reasons, the students finally found their strategies to reduce their speaking anxiety such as preparation, relaxation, positive thinking, and peer seeking.

СОЗНАТЕЛЬНЫЙ ОПТИМИЗМ КАК ИСКУССТВО ЖИТЬ И УМЕНИЕ МЫСЛИТЬ

The phenomenon of conscious optimism, which is the subject of this study, is the ability and readiness of an employee to fruitfully influence their own thinking, respectively, on professional activities, decisions, behavior and actions. The tactics of formation of conscious optimism among employees of EMERCOM of Russia are substantiated. The specificity of its formation in a departmental educational organization is shown. Conscious optimism seems to be a state of mind associated with belief in the effectiveness of one's own actions aimed at creation, as the basis for the formation of positive thinking, and, consequently, behavior. It is emphasized that the development of a professional requires the implementation of the principles of prevention of cognitive helplessness proposed by the authors, as well as norms, rules, attitudes and value orientations that allow regulating the internal and external activity of an employee, at the same time, the long-term tasks of developing conscious optimism among employees of EMERCOM of Russia should not be sacrificed to today's, topical, urgent problems and difficulties.

CREATIVITY AS A KEY CHARACTERISTIC OF A SPECIALIST IN TOURISM

The art of thinking, taking creative decisions, creative attitude to the surrounding world, making creative choices ‒ these are the socially valuable personal and professional skills of a specialist in the tourism industry, which must be developed in the process of his professional education, in particular foreign language training. The purpose of this study is to find out the essence and meaning of creativity as a factor of positive thinking and creative transformation of reality with the aim of its improvement, primarily in the aspect of harmonizing contradictions in the modern globalized world, as well as to emphasize the need for active, creative personality formation in the process of professional development. The relevance of the issues raised is obvious, given the role of the individual under the conditions of deepened technocratization of the information society, whose viability and security is primarily ensured by professional and humanistic potential. The work was performed using the analytical-synthetic method of researching the psychological-pedagogical conditions of the professional formation of the personality, regularities and didactic mechanisms of the development of socially valuable personal and professional qualities, the motivational sphere of a person, motivational forces and means of their regulation in the process of foreign language training. The result of the conducted research is a series of generalizations and conclusions regarding the creativity of the individual as a result of the combination of rational-sensory and intuitive knowledge of objective reality, whose prerequisite, in our opinion, is the need for new experience, a new look at things, a new interpretation of established ideas in order to develop the ability of solving problems or performing problematic tasks. The obtained results serve as a contribution to the development of the humanistic tradition in pedagogy, designed to affirm the role of the individual in the cultural-historical context.Key words: activity based approach, communicative behavior, creative attitude, foreign language training, intellectual and spiritual development, intuitive cognition, positive thinking.

Peran teknik CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) dalam mengelola stres remaja

The rapid increase in emotional levels during early adolescence is known as a period of storm and stress. So parents complain and find it difficult to deal with teenagers, in this transition period. This emotional growth is the result of physical changes, especially the hormones of adolescence. If it is related to social conditions, this increased emotional level is a sign that teenagers are experiencing conditions that are different from previous times. This condition triggers teenagers to become stressed and confused. Adolescence is a transition period, so the counselees studied were teenagers who experienced feelings of anxiety due to the confusion experienced by the absence of the father's role, making the counselees stressed, emotional and demanding a lot of attention from their parents, fighting, disobeying and resulting in decreased concentration in learning. The OV counselor, a 12 year old male teenager, was given the CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) technique. Cognitive therapy helps the counselor learn to recognize mistakes and change them. Apart from positive thinking, cognitive therapy is also related to happy thinking. Behavioral therapy helps link problematic situations and habits of responding to problems. Clients learn to change their behavior, calm their mind and body to feel better, think more clearly and help them make the right decisions. understand thought patterns by showing empathy so that you feel expected to be present with love and attention.

Effects of self-affirmation and positive visualization therapy for anxiety in 3rd-trimester pregnant women during the pandemic

Introduction: Adaption is required in responding to changes that can overcome the community's physical and mental health concerns, particularly adaption of pregnant women in preparation for childbirth during COVID-19 to minimize maternal mortality in Indonesia. Pregnancy during a pandemic like this may increase the risk of anxiety disorders in pregnant women. As a result, every individual must have a positive affirmation. Method: The purpose of this study is to learn more about the impact of self-affirmation and self-positive imagery on anxiety disorders in pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic. A quasi-experimental design was adopted in this investigation, comprising pre- and post-test groups. There are 52 people in the population. Sampling employs the Probability sampling approach in conjunction with simple random sampling. The intervention was performed four times. The respondent's degree of anxiety was assessed using the perinatal anxiety screening scale (PASS) questionnaire. Result: According to the findings, the average anxiety level prior to the intervention was 35.59, and the average anxiety level after the session was 18.72. Implementing self-affirmation and positive visualization has a significant (p = 0.000) effect on anxiety. Conclusion: During the pandemic, self-affirmation and positive imagery should be supplemented by a commitment to increasing positive thinking before to childbirth.

Emotions, COVID-19 related thoughts and satisfaction with life during the critical period from control to relaxation.

In the context of declining mortality rates and increasing infectivity, it has become unavoidable for the majority of individuals to experience a COVID-19 infection at some point. This study aimed to investigate the psychological well-being of the general population during China's transition period from strict control measures to relaxed policies in COVID-19 prevention and control, as well as the impact of COVID-19 related thoughts on emotion and life satisfaction during widespread infections. A cross-sectional study was conducted involving a sample size of 1578 participants. Participants completed self-report questionnaires assessing positive and negative emotions, thoughts about COVID-19, and satisfaction with life. Demographic characteristics such as sex, age, and education level were controlled for in the analysis. The findings revealed that individuals who had been infected with COVID-19 (specifically the Omicron variant BA.5.2 or BF.7) reported lower levels of positive emotions compared to those who were uninfected or had recovered from the infection. There was a significant relationship between COVID-19-related thoughts, emotions, and life satisfaction. Positive COVID-19 related thoughts were found to mediate the relationship between negative emotions and satisfaction with life. This study represents a comprehensive examination conducted in China, focusing on assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the general population during the critical transition period from control to relaxation. Throughout this period, the number of infections experienced fluctuations, initially rising but eventually declining over a one-month span. In such a momentous historical period, maintaining a positive perspective on COVID-19 and its management becomes paramount in enhancing the emotional well-being, life satisfaction and overall well-being of individuals.

선메디 VR자연명상 프로그램이 팬데믹을 경험한 대학생들의 긍정적 사고, 사회심리적 스트레스, 사회적 걱정에 미치는 영향

Objectives This study aimed to investigate the effects of a VR natural meditation program, combining Seon meditation and innovative VR technology, on positive thinking, social psychological stress, and social concern among university students who experienced stress and emotional exhaustion due to social distancing measures.
 Methods An experimental study was conducted on 34 university students who had undergone a complete suspension of school for more than one semester as a result of social distancing measures. The control group did not receive any intervention, while the experimental group participated in a VR natural meditation program consisting of four sessions over a two-week period. To evaluate the program's effectiveness, positive thinking, social psychological stress, and social concern were assessed in both groups, and the results were compared and analyzed using covariance analysis (ANCOVA).
 Results The study reports some significant findings. Firstly, the experimental group demonstrated a notable increase in positive thinking following the VR natural meditation experience. In addition, the levels of social psychological stress and social concern significantly decreased among the participants. In their self-evaluation reports after undergoing the VR treatment, the participants reported enhanced focus, strengthened coping skills, increased confidence in managing daily challenges, and a more positive outlook towards uncertain situations instead of being negatively overwhelmed by their consequences.
 Conclusions These results suggest that the SEONMEDI VR Natural Meditation Program holds potential as an intervention to promote the psychological well-being of university students who have faced social disconnection and emotional exhaustion caused by social disasters.
