PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF THE STATE OF INTERNAL DISCOMFORT OF INVESTIGATORS WITH DIFFERENT WORK EXPERIENCE AND WAYS OF THEIR CORRECTION

In the conditions of socio-economic transformation that takes place in Ukraine, to personality increase requirements are pulled out, foremost to the sphere of her activity in the different spheres of activity and communication. The important cell of development of personality is her professional activity, the conflict experiencing within the limits of that can be related to strong negative emotional tension, sense of internal discomfort. Especially it touches professional activity of investigator, when the protracted emotional tension can negatively influence on quality of implementation of functional duties, on the acceptance of judicial decisions that is always related to internal persuasion and often results in the different forms of the negative emotional states, including to internal discomfort. Frequency of display of the negative emotional states results in converting of them into the permanent background of professional life. For prevention of the similar professional burning down, actual are credible prognostication of the negative emotional states and their prophylaxis in professional activity of investigator, that runs across in the changed terms that differ from ordinary. The indicated aspect of problem was partly examined in industry of medicopsychology in the context of psychology of cooperation of doctor and patient, features of professional activity of medical workers and socialpsychological factors of her efficiency, however out of limits of scientific reconnaissance there is personality of investigator with individual properties of the emotional reacting on professionally meaningful situations. The aim of the article consists in the empiric study of dynamics of the states of emotional discomfort in investigators with different experience and development of recommendations from adjustment work. Thus, emotional discomfort as constituent of internal conflict of investigator, examined by us as distorting the emotional balance, thatexposes descriptions of the dominant negative emotional state, and is characterized subjective bad quarter of a hour. The specific of decisionmaking by investigators under act of emotional discomfort consists in that negative emotions are characterized greater intensity, than positive, they are directed internally and often enough does not have external expression. A general tendency consists in that for investigators with the high level of emotional discomfort absent sense of pleasure life, emotional tension, anxiety, constraint, uncertainty, mental instability, is diagnosed. In addition, for them a tendency is watched to the permanent decline of mood, origin of the state of apathy, emotional stuck on the failures; absent ability to listen to itself and feelings, inadequate perception of different vital situations (the dramatic effect of perception rises) is developed. Psychological diagnostics empiric confirmed the special psychological status of fifth year of stay in position of investigator in relation to forming of internal discomfort. This period of becoming of personality of investigator as a professional is original psychological Rubicon, that comes forward as a guarantor of adaptation of personality to the terms of stay in the difficult stressful terms of labour or, vice versa, without corresponding psychological accompaniment, passing of service can create terms for disharmonious development of personality. In a term 5 to works in investigative agencies has place substantial change of internal of constituents toward the increase of internal comfort.

Pleasures and Hardships in Modern Life: A Subjective Dimension of Social Well-Being

The article deals with the issues of studying the social well-being of the population in socio-humanitarian knowledge from antiquity to the present day. The social and cultural-historical conditionality of the social well-being of the population is revealed. Particular attention is paid to the study of the pleasure and hardships of modern life, the study of the subjective perception of positive or negative social well-being, the identification of variable factors that contribute to the strengthening or weakening of various indicators of social well-being. A practical part of the study presents the results of the author’s study of the pleasures and hardships of modern life, which contribute to the transformation of the characteristics of the social well-being of Russians. The study involved 1,170 people aged 18 to 65, 55 % women and 45 % men, living in different regions of the Russian Federation. The study was conducted in the form of an online survey. As a result, the author fixes the factors that are considered “normal” by Russians, identifies the forms of the most common “suffering” and strategies for obtaining “pleasure”. The main meanings of life are also indicated ‒ “for the sake of which it is worth enduring the hardships of life” and what are the possible prospects for personal and social (socially approved, generally accepted) happiness. Gender differences are indicated in the perception of the hardships and pleasures of life. The author proves that subjective experiences associated with the perception of personal and social well-being determine the general level of social security and personal life prospects regarding well-being and satisfaction, which determine various forms and strategies for the subjective measurement of social well-being. This becomes the basis not only of individual strategies for social realization, but also an indicator of the social dynamics of various communities, groups and entire strata of society, contributing to the processes of social consolidation or disintegration of social reproduction, social empathy and solidarity, the construction of new forms of personal and social identity and a sense of “we” in modern Russian society. The subjective measurement of social well-being becomes a cut of the emotional-cognitive perception of personal and social prospects of social development.

Research on Numerical Statistics Analysis of Competitive Sports Based on the Scientific Development Concept

The paper uses data analysis m Scientific development concept, competitive sports, numerical analysis, Bio motricity to discuss the value orientation of China's competitive sports development in the post-Olympic period with the related theories of the scientific development concept. Putting forward the orientation of "humanities, economy, fitness and entertainment" is the three core value orientations for the development of competitive sports in my country in the future. The connotation of humanistic orientation is to pay attention to the cultural education, health and employment status of athletes; the connotation of economic orientation is to pay attention to the industrial attributes of competitive sports, to exert economic functions, and to strengthen commercial operation; the connotation of fitness and entertainment orientation is to guide national exercise and improve national health, Pleasant people's lives. At the same time, the paper uses the subjective scoring data of diving competition as an application example, and examines and discusses each method according to the combination of theoretical analysis and practical application.

Solusi Penyelesaian Kasus KDRT bagi Pekerja Harian Masa Pandemi Covid-19 dalam Perspektif Qira’ah Mubaadalah

This study discusses domestic violence during the Covid-19 pandemic in families of daily workers in Pekanbaru according to the theory of Qirâ'ah Mubâdalah. Home turns out to be the most terrifying place for a family member. This problem often gives birth to new crime cases, even murder. Domestic violence affects every act of a person, especially women, which results in physical, sexual, psychological misery or suffering. So this study examines efforts to overcome cases of domestic violence that afflict daily workers in the Covid-19 pandemic in Pekanbaru City using a qirā'ah mubādalah perspective. This research is field research and the methodology used is a qualitative approach. The data related to this study were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The data is presented by technical descriptive analysis. The results of this study are the solution for resolving domestic violence during the Covid-19 pandemic in families of daily workers in Pekanbaru According to the Qirâ'ah Mubâdalah Theory is to create feelings of mutual pleasure in life in pairs, understand the meaning of marriage, consult each other or exchange ideas, and implement a series of solutions in household problems in surah al-Nisa verse 34.

P321 CASE REPORT AND LITERATURE REVIEW: THE HAPPINESS FOR ITALY’S VICTORY AT THE EUROPEAN SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS COSTS AN “HAPPY HEART SYNDROME”

Abstract Patient Presentation A 52 y/o female with history of arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, Bentall‘s previous intervention, presented to emergency department complaining dyspnea and oppressive chest pain which arose during celebrations for Italy‘s victory at the European soccer championship. According to increase in cardiac troponin level and ECG findings of subendocardial ischemia she was admitted to our Coronary Care Unit for acute coronary syndrome suspicious. Management transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) showed reduced left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF 37%) with apical and left ventricle medium segments akinesis associated with basal segments hyperkinesis with typical apical ballooning aspect. According to these findings, Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) suspicious overtook acute coronary syndrome. Despite low probability of coronary disease, she underwent coronary angiography which was normal. Eight days later, TTE showed completely recovery with normal LVEF. At the routine blood test we found not known hyperthyroidism without detectable antibodies; thyroid ultrasound showed some cystic lesion without any nodule. Thyroid scintigraphy was normal. Antithyroid medications were started and one month later complete normalization of thyroid hormones occurred. The patient was event–free after correction of the hyperthyroidism. Discussion “Happy heart syndrome” (HHS) is a TTS triggered by deep happiness and positive emotions. TTS is an usual form of acute cardiomyopathy characterized by reversible left ventricle apical ballooning which occurs in the absence of significant coronary artery disease. Although the exact cause of TTC remains unknown, several pathogenetic mechanisms have been suggested. Catecholamines seem to play a central role and we know that thyroid hormones interact with sympathetic nervous system so that hyperthyroidism is associated with hypersensitivity to catecholamines. Tako–Tsubo syndrome is usually triggered by negative stressors such as fright, grief, rage, other diseases. The role of positive emotions is not well known neither described. We assume that the mechanisms are similar but triggered by different emotions. HHS seems to be caused by pleasant emotional life events such as birthday party, son’s wedding and so many others. Both positive and negative life events could trigger TTS, nevertheless negative life events trigger TTS in almost 95% of the cases, so “broken hearts” are more frequent than “happy hearts”.

Introspective Meditation before Seeking Pleasurable Activities as a Stress Reduction Tool among College Students: A Multi-Theory Model-Based Pilot Study.

In the realm of behavioral interventions, a combined approach of yoga and a cognitive-behavioral strategy in the form of introspective meditation (manan-dhyana) may offer benefits as a stress management tool. This pilot study focuses on introspective meditation performed before seeking pleasurable activities, which is a self-reflection about whether to pursue a goal that will bring sensory pleasure in life. A non-probability sample of college students was recruited from a mid-sized Southern University of the United States using a 52-items web-based survey built in Qualtrics. Univariate, bivariate, and multivariate statistics were used to analyze data. Of total 65 students, only 21.5% students reported being engaged in the introspective meditation. The sample constituted predominantly females (75.4%), White (64.6%), and undergraduate students (87.7%). The proportions of anxiety, depression, and moderate/high stress were 50.8%, 40.0%, 86.1% respectively. In the hierarchical regression for initiation, the final model explained nearly 21.1% of variance in initiating introspective meditation among participants (n = 51) who had not been practicing it. With each unit increment in subscales of initiation (i.e., changes in physical environment), the conditional mean for initiating introspective meditation behavior increased by 0.373 units. In the hierarchical regression for sustenance, the final model explained nearly 50.5% of variance in sustaining introspective meditation behavior among participants (n = 51) who had not been practicing it. With each unit increment in subscales of sustenance (i.e., emotional transformation), the conditional mean for sustaining introspective meditation behavior increased by 0.330 units. This study can pave a way for designing interventions for college students to promote introspective meditation directed toward seeking pleasurable activities before engaging in them. This has implications for the reduction of stress as well as a preemptive measure for sexual risk-taking, indulgence in maladaptive behaviors such as smoking, vaping, alcohol, and substance use.

Economic Obstacles of cultural development-An Anthropological Field Study in Erbil City

There is a complementary relationship between economic growth and cultural development. Cultural development means changes in attitudes and values and the preparation of the right environment for economic growth. It is also the economic growth of the subconscious and the cause of cultural development. The aspirations of all members of society to lead a happy, dignified and prosperous life, economic growth in the interest of the majority of individuals in the possibilities and pleasures of life and the enjoyment of life and well-being. Development is a universal and multifaceted phenomes’, economic growth is one of the topics that directly affects cultural development. Preventing the development of culture means preventing change and advancing society. The economic development of the cultural development infrastructure, as well as the study of how the cultural anthropology has been conducted in the center of the city of Erbil, based on the Functional Construction theories and methods of anthropology and taking advantage of the ways of observation, and participation in direct and interviews. The main problems of the barrier to the development of cultural development in the research community have been identified. The study is divided into four sections, the first part of which discusses culture and cultural development. The second part analyzes the economic foundations of the research community, and in this chapter discusses the ways of investing in the agricultural and livestock sectors and the handicrafts and the impact of the industry on the way of life of individuals in the society. The role of technology and commerce and market positioning in cultural development and ways to benefit from energy sources in the research community have also been described. In the third section, the cultural industry and the causes of poverty of the individual living standards of the society are analyzed, and in the final section, the results and a number of suggestions and recommendations are directed to the relevant parties for the cultural and social development of the research community. The results of the study found that the research community has a rich natural environment, but the inaccuracies of taking advantage of natural resources are the cause of the destruction of the natural capital that is endangered for individuals of the community. Delays in the cultural industry and restrictions on freedom of investment and the intervention of ruling groups and parties in markets and business activities have contributed to the stagnation of local investment and the development of the phenomenon of poverty in the research community. The main concepts of this research are: culture, development, industry, cultural industry and cultural development.

Representations of Edo-­Tokyo in Illustrations

This paper follows the process of development of visual representations of Edo in publications from its origins in the XVII century to the XIX century when the city began modernization. They primarily took the forms of illustrations of guidebooks or geographies depicting ‘noted places' such as temples and shrines. Due to the prosperity of the city and the development of its own culture, they opened up a new avenue of picture books of ‘noted places' illustrated by ukiyoe artists who played important roles in fostering the unique culture of the city. The idea of ‘noted places' was expanded to include the locations where its citizens enjoyed seasonal outings through those picture books. These pictures often focused on human figures at these places as their backgrounds, while landscape expression with perspective introduced from the West was also developed in these picture books. In the process of evolution of illustrated works of the city, depictions of people enjoying their lives was continuously essential. The fact is convincing when we take into consideration that representations of cities in the history of East Asian paintings often reflected not only their realities but also the desires of those involved in producing them. The presence of people who led pleasant lives there was necessary to complete the image of the ideal cities. Representations of Edo-Tokyo also sought to keep images of its state in older times within them in various ways. It would appear to be a method of preserving the memory of the city which was repeatedly destroyed by fires and earthquakes and continuously changing its appearance.

Folklore reflects biological facts and social customs. Lullabies reveal that childbearing is essential for a husband and wife. If it rains when the rainy sprouting festival and the horse-drawing ceremony are held, not only the plowman of God's grace will be happy that the world has got a pleasant life. It can be seen that the folk cults which were humble originated with causal things. Folk literature refers to the civilization, culture, customs, beliefs and cults of a tribe. Folk songs, stories and proverbs cannot be considered to have originated to please others. It can be seen as an expression of people's feelings of happiness and suffering. Folk literary research has grown into a major field today. In lullabies, the mother's consciousness is abundant. Childbirth is very important in domestic life in society. The man who worshipped nature later created an appearance and worshipped the deity in the mountains, trees and water bodies. The people of the country can see that they worship the gods and their ancestors who protect the town. Folklore can see that birth, marriage and death have rituals and beliefs.

Studi meta analisis: Efektivitas terapi menulis dalam menurunkan kecemasan orang dewasa dengan pengalaman traumatis

Anxiety is often experienced by adults who have a less pleasant life experience. Writing therapy is an intervention that adults can use to express anxiety. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of writing therapy in lowering anxiety levels. The study used a meta-analysis method through a literature review of 14 research articles corresponding to research variables. The total number of participants in the study was 1,593. Data is analyzed by adjusting the effect size. The analysis results in effect size value obtained from fixed effects are -0.06 (95% Cl = -0.167 to 0.042, P =0.2434) and I² (inconsistency) by 66.9%, which means that writing therapy has little effect in lowering anxiety levels. Writing therapy has little effect on decreasing anxiety levels. Writing therapy can be given in conjunction with other interventions in order to provide more optimal effects

СООТНОШЕНИЕ ЭКСПЛИЦИТНОГО И ИМПЛИЦИТНОГО УРОВНЕЙ ПРЕЗЕНТАЦИИ ЦЕННОСТЕЙ: КРОСС-КУЛЬТУРНЫЙ АСПЕКТ

Background. Th e study is devoted to cultural specifi city of the personality value sphere, and from the point of view of its level — explicit and implicit structure. Th e novelty of the study lies in the appeal to inaccessible and practically unexplored implicit levels of value presentation, whereas most studies research deals exclusively with the approximate levels of their presentation.Objective of the study is a cross-cultural comparison of the structure of the value sphere of the individual from the point of view of its implicit and explicit level on the example of Russian and Uzbek culture. Methods. Th e following methods were used: the refi ned S. Schwartz PVQ method, M. Etkind’s color test of relationships. Sample. 190 subjects took part in the study — 86 people of Uzbek culture and 104 of Russian culture. Results. Th e study showed a signifi cant coincidence of the leading and insignifi cant values of both cultures at the explicit level. Th e explicit diff erences are as follows: despite the leading nature, less signifi cant in the Uzbek sample compared to the Russian were such values as independence of actions, independence of thought, personal security, well-being in interpersonal relations, tolerance for other people, and more signifi cant — life pleasures, reputation, public safety, responsibility to the loved ones. At the implicit level, the diff erences between cultures are less manifested, the following values are more signifi cant on the Russian sample: diverse life experience, public safety. More signifi cant the Uzbek sample is the responsibility to loved ones. Cross-cultural diff erences of some values are signifi cantly evident at both levels. Th ese are public safety (Uzbek subjects have higher signifi cance at the explicit level and lower at the implicit level than Russians) and responsibility to loved ones (higher in Uzbek subjects at both levels). Public safety has shown to be implicitly insignifi cant value to both cultures. Practical application of the results. Th e results can be applied in the joint training and professional activities organization of representatives of diff erent cultures.

A Study on the Characteristics of Residential Plan for Pet-friendly Collective Housing Focusing on the case analysis of pet-friendly collective housing

반려인 1500만 시대, 반려동물과의 쾌적한 공생은 단순한 트렌드를 넘어 하나의 현상으로 자리 잡고 있다. 특히, 주거의 영역에서 볼 때, 인간을 중심으로 계획된 기존의 주거공간은 반려동물과 쾌적한 생활을 영위하기 힘든 다양한 문제들이 존재한다. 따라서 반려동물, 반려인, 이웃 거주민(반려인 또는 비 반려인)이 함께 공생하며, 정신적, 육체적으로 건강한 삶의 질을 추구하고, 나아가서는 이웃과도 갈등 없이 생활할 수 있는 쾌적한 주거환경을 형성하도록 하는 다양한 주거계획의 요소의 연구 및 적용이 필요하다. 이에 반려동물 친화형 공동주택의 사례의 분석을 통해 공동주거에 특화된 반려동물 친화형 주거계획 요소를 정립하고 그 특성 및 유형을 분석하였다. 그 결과 반려동물 친화형 주거계획 요소를 실내, 실외, 설비계획으로 분류할 수 있었으며, 실내계획 요소가 절반 이상으로 실내에 대한 고려가 중요하게 이루어졌다. 또한, 반려동물 친화형 주거계획 요소를 중요도 순으로 분류하여, 필수요소 4가지와 더불어 필요요소, 선택요소로 구분 할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 반려동물친화형 공동주거계획의 유형을 반려동물 배려형, 거주자 편의형, 커뮤니티 강화형으로 분류하였으며 각 특징을 분석하였다. 이와 같은 반려동물 친화형 공동 주거계획의 요소 및 유형분류, 특성분석 결과는 앞으로 공간 및 인테리어, 가구, 설비 등의 다양한 관련 연구의 바탕이되는 이론적인 토대로서 활용될 것이다.In the current era when about 15 million people live together with companion animals, the pleasant symbiosis with companion animals is settled down as a phenomenon beyond a simple trend. Especially, in the aspect of residence, the existing human-centered residential space shows various problems with enjoying such pleasant life with companion animals. Thus, it would be necessary to research/apply various elements of housing plan for coexisting with companion animals, pet owners, and neighbors(pet owners or non-pet owners), seeking for the quality of mentally/physically-healthy life, and forming the pleasant residential environment without any conflicts with neighbors. Thus, this study established the elements of companion animal-friendly housing plan specialized in apartment housing by analyzing the cases of companion animal-friendly apartment housing, and then analyzed the characteristics and types. As a result, the elements of companion animal-friendly housing plan were classified into interior planning, outdoor planning, and facility planning, and the interior planning elements were more than half, so the consideration of interior planning was handled as important. Also, classifying the elements of companion animal-friendly housing plan following the order of importance, they were divided into four essential elements, necessary elements, and selective elements. Lastly, the types of companion animal-friendly apartment housing plan were classified into companion animal consideration type, resident convenience type, and community reinforced type, and then the characteristics of each type were analyzed. Such results of classifying the elements/types of companion animal-friendly apartment housing plan, and analyzing the consequential characteristics could be used as the theoretical basis of various relevant researches on interior design, furniture, and facilities in the future.

The Pleasures of Life and the Praise of Wisdom in the Book of Qohelet in the Light of Medieval Jewish Interpreters

The article analyzes how the most important medieval Jewish exegetes interpreted the book of Qohelet. It is focused on some of the most controversial ideas of the text, namely, the meaning of pleasures of life and the kind of wisdom praised in the book. The question of authorship, although not controversial, is also analyzed. The interpretations of medieval Jewish exegetes on these topics were the basis for their understanding of the purpose of the book as a whole. Different explanations were given by Jewish exegetes on whether the book of Qohelet encourages asceticism or promotes the knowledge of foreign sciences.

Challenges of Hedonism Culture in Realising the Maqasid Syariah

This research aims to identify the challenges of appreciating the Maqasid Syariah that stem from the culture of hedonism. The methodology used is library research. Maqasid Syariah aims to preserve religion, intellect, soul or life, lineage and dignity, as well as property. Various challenges persist in realising the Maqasid Syariah. Among them stem from the spread of hedonism culture in society. This culture emphasises the pleasures of life based on the determination of the mind. It has become the lifeblood of individuals concerned with pleasure alone without caring about other more important aspects of their lives. Humans who fall into this world of hedonism are only deified by lust alone. The days they live are only to pursue and add to the world’s wealth, boast of rank and power, indulge lust, entertain and revel. Among the forms of this cultural phenomenon are transcendental entertainment, free association, free sex, alcohol, drugs, hanging out, and street thugs. The goal of realising the Maqasid Syariah will not be achieved as long as human life is separated from noble moral, ethical, and spiritual values.

Maqasid Approach In Measuring Quality Of Life (QoL)

Studies and discussion in measuring the quality of life (QoL) has been at the centre stage ever since people realize its importance for the wellness of mankind. It is even more important when the concept is associated with sustainable development goal (SDG). Some studies relate QoL with physical health, psychological health, social relationship and environment. Others associate it with authentic happiness that refers to the criteria of pleasant life, a good life, a meaningful life and balanced life. Nevertheless, what can be considered as a holistic QoL? Can it be confined to the material and physical wellness of the people? Could there be any different perspective in looking at the concept in a holistic view? This study would attempt to answer the above questions by deliberating the dimensions of QoL enshrined by the maqasid al-shariah (the objectives of shariah). External Desk Study is employed in getting the required information and data relating to the definition and measurement of QoL. Relevant literatures in the area are reviewed and analysed in coming up with the new dimensions of holistic QoL. In analyzing the data, deductive approach is used to come up with the list of indicators for every dimension of maqasid-based QoL. Finding of this study is expected to shed light in looking into a much broader dimension of QoL.

Loss experience in children: a guideline for primary care Everyone gets confronted with severe loss experiences during life, such as bereavement of a significant other, loss of a loved one after a divorce or loss of one’s own capabilities due to illness. Health care providers need to be equipped with substantial knowledge about children’s experiences of grief and distress in order to support family members properly. Moreover, this can influence the next generation’s capabilities to cope with stressful life events. The current article describes the characteristics of loss experiences in children up to 11 years. Developmental phases, as well as the need to explain to children the 4 fundamental characteristics of death will be discussed (i.e. finality, irreversibility, universality and causality). While grief and distress in children can generally be managed by the immediate surrounding of the child, sometimes professional support is necessary, which is also discussed in this article. Finally, the authors present 4 key principles and concrete recommendations on how adults can respond to children who lost someone so that they can regain pleasure in life.

Predicting of job burnout of female nurses based on effort – reward imbalance and characteristics of positive psychology

Introduction: The present study aimed to predict job burnout based on effort-reward imbalance and characteristics of positive psychology among female nurses of Shahid Rahnemoon Hospital of Yazd. Materials and Methods: The research method was descriptive; correlation type. 132 female nurses working in the different parts of Shahid Rahnemoon Hospital in Yazd were selected by random sampling. Three questionnaires (Muslesh & Jackson`s job burnout, Seligman`s positive psychological characteristics scale, and effort-reward imbalance of Seigersit) were completed by nurses. Results: The findings of the one-sample t-test showed that the job burnout level of nurses in the components of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization was moderate, but personal accomplishment is severe and statistically significant. Also, the score of effort-reward imbalance in female nurses is 1.09, which is higher than the cutting point and showed the imbalance of effort-reward in nurses. The situation of the meaning life component and the engagement life component (in the characteristics of positive psychology) among nurses was higher than the average and statistically significant, but the situation of the pleasant life was lower than the average and insignificant. The findings also showed that a positive and significant correlation between effort-reward imbalance with job burnout(r=0.458, p<0.01), as well as a negative and significant correlation between the positive psychological characteristics with job burnout (r=-0.65, p<0.01). In addition, the results of multiple regression analysis showed that 40% of variances of job burnout were predicted by the meaning of life, the effort-reward imbalance, and the engagement life. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, job burnout of nurses is moderate. Serious action should be taken by health policymakers and managers to increase the effort-reward balance improve the characteristics of positive psychology and reduce the burnout of nurses.

The Threefold Cord of Ecclesiastes

This lecture explores the book of Ecclesiastes as a kind of exemplar of the proverbial saying in 4:12 that ‘a threefold cord is not quickly broken’. The first strand of the book – a ‘black thread’ – is the thesis in Kohelet’s teaching, that all human endeavour amounts to nothing but transience and insubstantiality. The second strand – a ‘white thread’ – is the antithesis in Kohelet’s teaching, that value can be discovered in eating, drinking, and finding enjoyment in one’s toil. And the third strand – a ‘golden thread’ – is the synthesis in the book, that one should walk a middle way, recognising the manifold vanities of life on the one hand and the value of the simple pleasures of life on the other, and striving to be neither too wicked and foolish nor too righteous and wise for one’s own good.

Harmonious and obsessive involvement, self-esteem, and well-being. A longitudinal study on MMORPG players

Starting from the dualistic model of passion by Vallerand and colleagues (2003), this study aimed to identify “obsessive” and “harmonious” involvements in MMORPGs and to verify their relationships with players’ self-esteem and well-being. An international sample of 147 MMORPG players participated in a longitudinal design filling out for 3 times an online questionnaire measuring game involvement (in terms of Internet Gaming Disorder [IGD] symptoms, time spent playing the video game, sense of presence while playing, and avatar identification), global self-esteem, and well-being (i.e., meaningful life, engaged life, and pleasant life). Results supported the presence of these two different types of involvement: Obsessive involvement, characterized by a close association between IGD symptoms and playing time; Harmonious involvement, characterized by a close association between presence, avatar identification, and IGD symptoms. Cross-lagged effects showed that, over time, low self-esteem and low meaningful life predicted obsessive involvement, which in turn predicted engaged life. The present study contributes to a better understanding of the effects between video games use and the users’ self-esteem and well-being. Furthermore, it contributes to the theoretical debate about problematic involvement in videogames, also providing some indications about problematic gaming assessment and prevention.

Happiness Curriculum: Covid-19 and Impacts

Happiness is an important aspect to accomplish self pleasure in life. Happiness of children can be determined by some signs like companionship, support and confidence. Childhood experiences can impact on personality and perspective of a person. It is equal responsibility of teachers and parents to get the emotional, psychological and social requirements of the children. Day by day the concept of positive education psychology is becoming more famous. The main focus of positive education is the difference between what people desire for their children and what does school teach. Parent’s wants from their children to be alert, optimistic, happy and self satisfied but a school focuses on ranks, schools work and rules-regulation. The prime responsibility of guardian and pedagogue is to guide balance in student’s life. This research paper was accomplished based on three concerns. Firstly, childhood is an essential development period that forms the establishment for the emotional security and future learning development of children. Secondly, the occurrence of child and youth behavioural problems is increasing, supposed to be source of unhappiness. Thirdly, studies connected to happiness are early childhood. Therefore, this study wants to investigate the importance of circumstances and parties related with happiness in children. Further we try to understand the important feature of learning and happiness and the role of teachers and parents in children life. Also we examine the approach of Delhi Government to start "Happiness Curriculum" program.
