Pemanfaatan Google Form: Inovasi Penilaian Sumatif Akhir Semester (SAS) Bidang Studi Bahasa Indonesia untuk Siswa Kelas 8 di SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai

This research discusses the utilization of Google Form integrated with the belajar.id account in the implementation of the End of Semester Summative (SAS) in the Indonesian language subject for grade 8 students at SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai. This research focuses on the importance of assessment in the educational process, especially in measuring students' competency achievement efficiently and integrated with technology. The research method used was qualitative with semi-structured interviews with an Indonesian language teacher who has more than five years of experience. The results showed that Google Form offers a number of advantages, such as ease of use, randomization of questions, and automation of assessment, thus helping to speed up the evaluation process and minimize manual errors. However, technical issues such as unstable internet connection and limited question features were the main challenges. Teachers and students generally responded positively to the use of Google Forms, especially in terms of efficiency and ease of access. The implementation of Google Forms in SAS effectively increases the efficiency of assessment, although it requires better infrastructure support and training for users. Further development in platform features and improvement in digital literacy are needed to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of Google Form use in the future.

Controlled Nutrient Delivery to Pancreatic Islets Using Polydopamine-Coated Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles.

In this study, we designed a nanoscale platform for sustained amino acid delivery to support transplanted pancreatic islets. The platform features mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNPs) loaded with glutamine (G), an essential amino acid required for islet survival and function, and coated with polydopamine (PD). We investigated various PD concentrations (0.5-2 mg/mL) and incubation times (0.5-2 h) to optimize G release, identifying that a PD concentration of 0.5 mg/mL incubated for 0.5 h yielded the best results to support islet viability and functionality ex vivo, particularly under inflammatory conditions. In syngeneic islet transplantation in STZ-diabetic mice, G alone provided only temporary benefits; however, PD-G-MSNPs significantly improved islet engraftment and function, with animals maintaining glycemic control for 30 days due to controlled G release. Our findings support the use of this nanoscale platform to provide essential nutrients like G to transplanted islets until they can establish their own blood and nutrient supply.

Redesign of User Experience in Inaportnet Using the User Experience Questionnaire Method TND User-Centered Design

The Directorate General of Sea Transportation, under Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation, developed Inaportnet as a digital platform mandated by Ministerial Regulation Number PM 8 of 2022 to streamline ship service procedures and enhance e-government implementation. This study evaluates the user experience (UX) of the Inaportnet website, focusing on its usability, security, and overall design using a user-centred design (UCD) approach and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. Data were collected from 56 respondents, including stakeholders such as ship operators, port authorities, and service users. The findings reveal critical shortcomings: 95% of respondents encountered frequent bugs affecting usability, 65% highlighted security concerns, 60% criticised the cluttered interface, 40% experienced access failures, and 50% expressed low engagement with the platform's features. To address these challenges, the website was redesigned using UCD principles, resulting in significant improvements. The redesigned platform achieved "Good" ratings for attractiveness, stimulation, and novelty, and "Above Average" ratings for clarity, efficiency, and accuracy in UEQ metrics, indicating enhanced usability and user satisfaction. This study underscores the importance of iterative UX design in optimising digital government systems, offering actionable insights for improving public service platforms in developing countries.

Resistive random access memory (ReRAM) holds promise for building computing-in-memory (CIM) architectures to execute machine learning (ML) applications. However, existing ReRAM technology faces challenges such as cell and cycle variability, read-disturb and limited endurance, necessitating improvements in devices, algorithms and applications. Understanding the behaviour of ReRAM technologies is crucial for advancement. Existing platforms can either only characterize single cells and do not support CIM operations, or lack a comprehensive software stack for simple system integration. This article introduces NeuroBreakoutBoard (NBB), a versatile, integrable and portable instrumentation platform for ReRAM crossbars. The platform features a software stack enabling experiments via Python from a host PC. In a case study, we demonstrate the capabilities of NBB by conducting diverse experiments on TiN/Ti/HfO2/TiN cells. Our results show that NBB can characterize individual cells and perform CIM operations with a relative measurement error below 2%.This article is part of the theme issue 'Emerging technologies for future secure computing platforms'.

Pay, Pat, and Clawback: Incentivizing Service Providers’ Participation in On-Demand Digital Platforms

A critical governance challenge for on-demand digital platforms is to increase the participation of their service providers. In this research, we design novel incentive structures by taking the unique features of on-demand digital platforms into account. In 12 micro randomized trials conducted in partnership with a major on-demand digital platform, we examine how combining monetary with nonmonetary incentives and providing them within a loss-aversion framework could motivate service providers to increase their participation levels. We show that in on-demand platforms the nonmonetary incentives inhibit the impact of monetary incentives on service provider participation once they are offered together. Furthermore, in contrast to traditional work settings, offering incentives within a loss-aversion framework only increases the effectiveness of nonmonetary incentives. We provide theoretical explanations and empirical examinations for these counterintuitive results. The insights from this research could be used by on-demand digital platforms to effectively mobilize and sustain their service providers’ participation to meet real-time stochastic demand. Self-propelled platforms designed for soil sampling represent a remarkable technological advancement in the field of soil research, providing efficient and precise collection of essential data regarding soil composition. These platforms are equipped with advanced technologies and sophisticated sampling systems, offering researchers the opportunity to obtain detailed data in an automated and replicable manner. In this article, we will delve into the technical features of self-propelled platforms for soil sampling and their significance in advancing soil sciences research. In this paper, a mathematical model is described to aid in the design of the propulsion system of self-propelled platforms intended for soil sample collection under conditions of movement on horizontal or sloping terrain. With this mathematical model, the forces required for the platform to move can be calculated, considering the constraints specific to each project. When the project is completed, and key parameters such as the total weight of the platform, dimensions, payload weight, and transmission gear ratios are known, the minimum power required for the engine to move the platform can be calculated.

A Study on the Mechanisms Influencing Youth Intermittent Disengagement Behavior on Short Video PlatformsBased on the Moderating Role of Self-Control Ability

As a product of the technological revolution in information media, short video platforms feature an increasingly complex scale of information, functional settings, and social networks. These complexities pose risks of perceived overload on the user level, leading to negative usage behaviors such as usage fatigue and intermittent disengagement. Based on the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theoretical framework, this study constructs a model of the mechanisms influencing intermittent disengagement behaviors among young users on short video platforms. Innovatively, the study introduces the moderating role of self-control theory. Data were collected through an online questionnaire, yielding 423 valid samples, and analyzed using structural equation modeling, mediation effect modeling, and moderation effect modeling. Results indicate that perceived information overload has a significant positive impact on the occurrence of intermittent disengagement among youth; usage fatigue partially mediates the pathway from perceived information overload to intermittent disengagement and fully mediates the pathway from perceived functional overload to intermittent disengagement; self-control ability positively moderates the relationship between usage fatigue and intermittent disengagement.

Behind the Screens: Evaluating the Effectiveness of Zoom in EFL Learning and Teaching in Higher Education

This study examines the usage of Zoom platform features and functions in managing EFL classes from the perspectives of students and their instructors. The study used a mixed-method approach. Quantitively, a questionnaire was distributed to undergraduate EFL students enrolled in advanced English courses (B2) in the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024 in a Palestinian university. The questionnaire was complemented by interviewing nine EFL instructors who have utilized the Zoom platform in their EFL classes. The quantitative data were subjected to statistical analysis whereas the interview data were analyzed thematically to obtain qualitative insights. The findings of the study revealed that Zoom features and functions significantly boost the online language learning experience in the EFL classes according to the students’ views. The students highly appreciate the features of recording, raising hands, screen-sharing, mute/unmute controls, file-sharing, and chat box while learning the English language. The results also indicate that both male and female students have similar views on the efficiency of Zoom features and functions. The analysis of the qualitative data reveals that EFL instructors largely utilize Zoom features and functions in their EFL classes and appreciate the benefits of these tools. Nevertheless, the results demonstrate that the instructors encounter some challenges primarily related to technical issues. The findings provide valuable views to the field of language learning and teaching through building on the experiences of undergraduate students and instructors with the context of EFL.

Students’ Perceptions of Their Speaking Practice with Foreign Interlocutors via Online Platforms

As online platforms become more widely accessible, English learners have greater opportunities to practice speaking with foreign interlocutors, though many remain hesitant due to a lack of confidence in their speaking abilities. This study examines the perceptions of 107 first-semester English learners at a private university who were assigned to use SCMC platforms like Free4Talk, InterPals, and HelloTalk to engage in English conversations with foreign interlocutors. The aim was to understand how these platforms supported speaking practice and identify any challenges faced. Data were collected through a questionnaire that included Likert-scale items and open-ended questions. The results revealed that 78% of students had positive perceptions, indicating that the platforms facilitated their English-speaking practice through real-time communication. However, they also reported technical issues, such as poor internet connectivity, and challenges with engagement, including difficulty finding consistent conversation partners. The study recommends further research into long-term language learner experiences and an exploration of platform features that could enhance English-speaking practice.

Instagram as a Tourism Village Promotion Media: A Study of Sumber Urip Tourism Village

Instagram has emerged as one of the most popular social media platforms, widely used not only for personal purposes but also for group or institutional needs. This study examines the utilization of Instagram as a promotional medium for Sumber Urip Tourism Village. In the digital era, social media has become a crucial tool in tourism destination marketing strategies; however, its effectiveness in the context of rural tourism villages requires further exploration. The aim of this research is to analyze content strategies, engagement levels, and their impact on the promotion of Sumber Urip Tourism Village through the Instagram account @sumber.urip__. Employing a qualitative approach with netnographic methods, this study conducts digital content analysis on Instagram posts from December 2020 to September 2024. The results indicate that while Instagram holds great potential as a promotional medium, its utilization by Sumber Urip Tourism Village has not been optimal. Inconsistencies in posting frequency, limited use of hashtags, and lack of interaction with followers were observed. Visual content, especially that showcasing natural beauty, received positive responses but was not supported by a strong storytelling strategy. The research also reveals a lack of collaboration with influencers or other tourism accounts, which could enhance the destination's visibility and credibility. In conclusion, a more comprehensive and planned strategy is needed in leveraging Instagram, focusing on content consistency, interactivity, storytelling, and optimal utilization of platform features to increase the effectiveness of digital promotion for Sumber Urip Tourism Village.

Platformization of Taxi-Hailing Services: Reducing Information Asymmetry by Examining Consumer Preferences from the Cognitive Fit Perspective

This study explores the role of mobility platforms in mitigating issues arising from information asymmetry about taxi services in South Korea. We employed conjoint analysis from a cognitive fit perspective and analyzed the marginal utilities of platform features using a mixed logit model. Our results show that platformization addresses negative experiences associated with information asymmetry and resolves long-standing problems associated with taxi services. Specifically, consumers prioritize information visualization and safety services, underscoring the platforms’ role in enhancing trust and safety as well as convenience. Despite the expansion into premium mobility experiences, the fundamental expectation from consumers remains access to reliable, safe services. This research contributes to understanding the impact of digital transformation on the mobility sector, emphasizing the need for strategic and policy interventions to leverage mobility platforms for improved service delivery.

Family Physicians' Feedback on the Feature Design of a Digital Health Platform to Streamline the Care of Older Adults.

Background/Objectives: Family physicians are essential to a well-functioning healthcare system; however, they face significant administrative and cognitive burdens that contribute to their burnout and reduce the quality of patient care they provide. Digital health tools offer potential solutions to these problems. This study examined the interface design and features of a digital health platform, Carmi, designed to mitigate administrative inefficiencies and cognitive overload by asynchronous patient data gathering and automated report generation. Methods: We conducted semi-structured interviews with nine family physicians practicing in Alberta, Canada, to gather their feedback on Carmi's interface design and features. Participants were asked to view a 20 min virtual demonstration of Carmi and provide input on its interface, navigation, potential impact on their clinic workflow, and suggestions for additional features. Interviews were transcribed and thematically analyzed using NVivo. Results: Participants found Carmi's interface user-friendly; most agreed that Carmi could reduce cognitive burden by automatically generating summary reports of assessments completed by patients and facilitating care coordination. Participants thought integration within existing electronic medical records was important, albeit Care of the Elderly physicians saw the value of Carmi as a standalone platform, noting that it can become a collaborative space where all healthcare providers can contribute to patient care. Conclusions: Carmi has the potential to improve primary care efficiency, especially for older adults with complex health needs. Work is underway at several pilot sites that have implemented Carmi so far to gather physicians, patients, and their caregivers' feedback on its usability.

Overview of Terrain Traversability Evaluation for Autonomous Robots

ABSTRACTTraversability evaluation is the foundation and core of unmanned platforms for scene understanding and autonomous navigation, whose successful completion relies on the analysis of the platform's characteristics and the semantic and geometric features of the surrounding environment. This topic has been reviewed by many literatures, which are characterized by a single perspective and lack comprehensive evaluation frameworks. Thus, the concept and developmental trajectory of traversability evaluation are initially outlined in this paper, distinguishing it from other issues, while constructing an evaluation framework based on two categories: direct assessment and downstream task assessment. Subsequently, traversability evaluation methods are classified based on multiple dimensions, including sensor types, robot types, usage scenarios, and learning approaches. On the basis of the constructed evaluation framework, comparisons are made among existing algorithms in terms of performance and runtime. Subsequently, a summary is provided on commonly used features and their mainstream computation methods in terrain evaluation. Additionally, open‐source data sets in this field and projects for scene construction and algorithm validation are compiled and organized. Finally, an analysis is conducted on the development direction and trends, emphasizing the urgent need to establish standardized evaluation systems and comparison baselines. Furthermore, it is imperative that various environmental and platform information be comprehensively integrated into algorithms, while also ensuring that simulation, demonstration, and exploration are incorporated into a unified framework to enhance the robot's learning capability.

Design of Multimedia Teaching Software Based on Distributed Network Architecture

With the leap of network technology and the vigorous development of online teaching, many universities are actively adopting online means to optimize teaching and course management. This paper focuses on building an efficient and comprehensive auxiliary teaching platform that integrates functions such as student learning monitoring, course management, online testing, and teacher–student interaction, aiming to improve the quality of education. Designs based on distributed B/S architecture and web technology to ensure efficient resource allocation and expansion, meet the needs of large-scale concurrent learning, and achieve cross-platform access to enhance user experience. The platform features personalized learning support, enhanced interactive collaboration, and the construction of a multimedia teaching database through data analysis. The innovation lies in using neural network technology to create an intelligent question answering module, utilizing cosine similarity to automatically group teaching resources, and using graph convolution and variational autoencoder techniques to construct a student performance monitoring model. Experimental verification shows that the platform runs stably, effectively reduces the blocking rate, and significantly improves students’ academic performance, pass rate, and learning interest. This design not only successfully completed the teaching task, but also provided valuable experience for the application of online-assisted teaching systems in subject education.

“I wish I could use any language as it comes to mind”: User experience in digital platforms in the context of multilingual personal information management

AbstractIn today's linguistically diverse world, managing personal information across multiple languages presents a challenge. This study engaged 16 multilingual participants to explore their user experience in the context of multilingual personal information management (MPIM), with a focus on inclusivity, universality, and equity. Addressing two main questions, the study explores the challenges users face on digital platforms in MPIM contexts and their ideal platform features. Findings highlight key issues in MPIM platform design, including unsupported languages and integration of visual aesthetics. We also identify user preferences for ideal platform features, such as language flexibility and efficient information retrieval. The study suggests the need for more inclusive, universal, and equitable platform designs that cater to the specific requirements of multilingual users. Ultimately, this study underscores the critical need for improved MPIM support and emphasizes the significance of continued exploration in this area, establishing it as a vital field of future research.

From Attraction to Retention: How Vlogger Attributes, Vlog News Content Quality, and Platform Features Affect Continuance Intention of Vlog News

In the digital media era, video blogs (vlogs) have become a crucial news platform, gaining attention for their personalized and interactive features. However, research has yet to fully explore the factors influencing sustained audience engagement with vlog news. Grounded in Media-system Dependency (MSD) Theory and Parasocial Interaction (PSI) Theory, this study examines key drivers of continuous user engagement, including vlogger attributes, content quality, and platform technicalities. A survey of 553 users, analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), reveals significant effects of vlogger attractiveness and expertise, content’s entertainment and information quality, and the platform’s interactivity and fluency on PSI and ongoing viewing intentions. Additionally, the emotional bond between users and vlog news moderates the PSI and sustained viewing relationship. These findings enrich the media consumption framework and offer practical insights. Notably, the role of algorithmic content curation, enhancing media dependency and PSI through personalized content recommendations, is acknowledged.

Spatiotemporally programmed release of aptamer tethered dual angiogenic growth factors

In tissue extracellular matrix (ECM), multiple growth factors (GFs) are sequestered through affinity interactions and released as needed by proteases, establishing spatial morphogen gradients in a time-controlled manner to guide cell behavior. Inspired by these ECM characteristics, we developed an “intelligent” biomaterial platform that spatially controls the combined bioavailability of multiple angiogenic GFs, specifically vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF-BB). Utilizing aptamer affinity interactions and complementary sequences within a GelMA matrix, our platform achieves on-demand, triggered release of individual GFs which can be “programmed” in temporally-controlled, repeatable cycles. The platform features stable incorporation of dual aptamers specific for both GFs, functional aptamer-CS molecular recognition in a 3D microenvironment with long-term stability of at least 15 days at physiological temperature, and spatially localized sequestration of individual GFs. Additionally, the system allows differential amounts of GFs to be released from the same hydrogels at different time-points, mimicking dynamic GF presentation in a 3D matrix similar to the native ECM. This flexible control over individual GF release kinetics opens new possibilities for dynamic GF presentation, with adjustable release profiles to meet the spatiotemporal needs of growing engineered tissue.
