Pipeline transportation of natural gas, oil, and petroleum products has become widely used both internationally and within Azerbaijan, as it is the most efficient and safe method of transportation. The durability and accident-free operation of pipelines directly depend on the effectiveness of their anti-corrosion protection. Therefore, the modernization of protection technologies is of critical importance. This study examines the main methods of pipeline anti-corrosion protection, considering the advantages and disadvantages of each. Calculations are provided for the pipeline wall thickness, anti-corrosion protection, and certain parameters of cathodic protection necessary to determine the most effective method for specific operating conditions.
