R&D Based Islamic Religious Education Learning Strategy: Types of Models and Their Role

The dynamics of education are always faced with problems, both related to government policy and other aspects of the educational component itself. Teachers' problems in teaching, starting from the use of media, methods, and the evaluation process, still often encounter obstacles. Researchers can overcome problems and find solutions scientifically through research and development (R&D). The purpose of writing this article is to explain the R&D research model along with its type and role in PAI learning that requires innovation in the understanding and practice of Islamic values.The data collection method uses library research with data analysis techniques through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the R&D model is a research method that focuses on developing products in the form of media or methods to improve the quality of learning. There are various types of R&D development models, including the Borg and Gall model, the Sadiman model, the ADDIE model, the Dick & Carey model, and the Ministry of National Education's Pustekkom model. Each development model has steps that are arranged systematically and structured. In general, these types of R&D models have steps that include problem analysis, product development design, implementation, and evaluation. Regarding the implementation, researchers sometimes modify the development model into simpler steps based on needs analysis.

The purpose of the study is to identify the potential of a pedagogical university museum in organizing the interaction of subjects of the educational process and methodological support of their activities aimed at the formation of historical memory and citizenship among students of educational organizations of the Russian Federation (in particular, secondary schools). Using the example of the Museum of Local History of Altai State Pedagogical University, the article examines the activities of the museum of an educational organization of higher education as a center for the formation of historical memory and citizenship of students, shows the practice of organizing methodological work and building social communication between subjects of the educational process within the framework of the technology of designing and conducting thematic (extracurricular) events. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the fact that for the first time the experience of methodological activity of the Museum of Local History of the Altai State Pedagogical University is generalized, the conditions of creation and functioning of the methodological center for subjects of educational process on the basis of the university museum are revealed. As a result of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that it is promising to define the role of the pedagogical university museum as a methodological center within the framework of interinstitutional interaction (school – school museum – university museum). It is noted that this practice has a pronounced multidisciplinary nature, combining educational and research components with activities aimed at the formation of historical memory and citizenship of students.

Exploring the Desirable Attributes and Competencies of Pharmacy Clinical Preceptors: A Scoping Review.

Experiential learning is a vital component of health-professional education. It provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-life settings before becoming licensed practitioners. Preceptors (i.e., practice educators) play a crucial role in developing students' professional skills and competencies, as well as shaping their attitude during their clinical training. Ensuring preceptors' quality and preparedness is a key aspect in students' experiential learning due to the important impact of the provided training on the quality of the students' learning experience. There is a knowledge gap about the desired attributes of pharmacy preceptors in the Gulf region, specifically Qatar, highlighting the need to explore preceptors' views on this topic. The aim of this scoping review is to identify the available tools in the literature to explore the desirable attributes of pharmacy preceptors as clinical educators. The objectives are to explore the reported desirable attributes of clinical preceptors in the published literature and select and utilize an appropriate tool to identify the desirable attributes of pharmacy preceptors in Qatar. The scoping review was designed to identify the relevant original research articles, which were published in English language, utilizing CINAHL, ERIC, ProQuest, and PubMed databases. Key concepts were preceptorship, attributes, pharmacy, and tools. Quantitative and mixed-methods study designs were included. The included articles were summarized according to their design, setting, population, and outcomes. The validity of the used instruments in these studies was reported. A total of six articles qualified for inclusion into the full screening and were used to inform the results of this review. Skills like being a role model, assessment, and feedback expertise were of the highly important attributes to different populations (i.e., students, graduates, and preceptors). The review revealed the need for more validated tools in pharmacy research to increase the knowledge about the desired qualities of preceptors. Finally, a list of the most reported attributes in the literature was created after grouping all the reported attributes into five categories: (1) knowledge, teaching, and presentation skills; (2) professionalism and development skills; (3) communication skills; (4) supportive mentoring; and (5) enthusiasm and interest. the top three identified attributes were related to communication, assessment and feedback, and professionalism. The results of this review demonstrated a lack of well-designed and validated tools in pharmacy research that can be used to explore the desirable attributes of pharmacy preceptors. This necessitates further research to develop and validate a new appropriate tool to ultimately understand the perceptions of pharmacy preceptors on this topic. Including more databases in the research could have enriched the findings.

A Novel Tool to Communicate the Needs of Survivors of Trauma to Health Professionals: A Mixed Methods Pilot Study.

To explore the acceptability and feasibility of using a trauma-informed communication tool to convey client needs to health professionals; and to understand the barriers and enablers for clients using the tool. Mixed methods design pilot study conducted by nurses from a regional community health service in Victoria, Australia, of purposively sampled clients who have a history of sexual assault and/or family violence and clinicians from a primary care service. The investigators developed a pocket-sized communication card to convey clients' history of trauma and the clients' emotional and physical needs to health care providers. Pre-intervention and post-intervention surveys using validated scales ('Acceptability of Intervention Measure' and 'Intervention Appropriateness Measure') were administered via anonymous online or paper-based survey. Sixteen clients completed the pre-intervention survey and 12 clients completed the post-intervention client survey. Seven Nurses and three Social Workers completed the clinician survey. Both clients and clinicians reported high rates of acceptability and appropriateness of the tool on the outcome measures. The most commonly reported barriers to using the tool were clients forgetting to use the card and concern about how health professionals may respond. Content analysis of qualitative data revealed themes categorised as positive impacts (prevention of re-traumatisation), negative impacts (negative response from health professionals) and suggestions for improvement of the tool (developing a digital version, raising clinicians' awareness of the tool). This novel tool has demonstrated a high degree of acceptability and applicability in a sample of clients with a history of trauma secondary to sexual assault and/or family violence, and community health clinicians, and several positive and negative impacts have been identified. Further research should focus on larger participant numbers and include developing a digital version and a clinician education component. Use of a tool to communicate impacts of trauma may prevent re-telling of traumatic stories by clients and enhance quality of care delivery. The Good Reporting of a Mixed Methods Study (GRAMMS) has been used to report the results of this study. During development of the tool, it was reviewed by a lived experience consumer representative, the health organisations' consumer advisory panel, and a small sample of clients.

Observational Study on Enhancing End-of-Life Care Competence Through OSCE: Educational Implications

AbstractEnd-of-life care training is a critical component of medical education, yet gaps remain in adequately preparing students for these complex interactions. Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) have emerged as a vital tool to assess clinical competence in real-world scenarios. This study aimed to evaluate medical students’ competencies in palliative care using a specialized OSCE station focused on end-of-life skills. A cohort of 118 final-year medical students at the University of Cádiz completed an OSCE that tested abilities in diagnosis, communication, ethical decision-making, and professionalism. Students demonstrated high proficiency in diagnostic competencies, particularly in identifying underlying pathologies and managing refractory symptoms. However, significant variability emerged in skills related to communication, managing advance directives, and obtaining informed consent for palliative sedation. Statistical analyses revealed areas of both strength and challenge, with items related to ethical-legal considerations showing higher difficulty and variability among students. Our findings underscore the need for curricular enhancements that integrate technical training with ethical and communicative aspects of palliative care. Improving student preparation in these domains is essential to equip future physicians with the holistic skills necessary for compassionate end-of-life care.

The Concept Of Learning Evaluation In The Perspective Of Tafseer Tarbawy

Purpose of this research is to describe problems in the evaluation system as an educational component, explain concept of evaluation from the perspective of tafsir tarbawi, and outline procedures for organizing evaluations in educational institutions. This study employs qualitative approach with literature study method. Results and discussion reveal several issues in the implementation of evaluation systems, including indications of manipulation in reporting minimum competency scores, low synergy between teachers and parents, and suboptimal school work programs. Moreover, evaluation in the perspective of tafsir tarbawi encompasses several aspects, such as the meaning of evaluation, its objectives, functions, principles, and systems. Moreever, the procedures for organizing evaluations in educational institutions include planning, conducting assessments, monitoring, data processing, reporting, and utilizing evaluation results.

The Religious Factor in the Development of Folk Education in Podillia (1864–1917): Historical and Comparative Aspects of Spiritual and Intellectual Education

The article analyzes the role of the religious factor in the development of folk education in Podillia between 1864 and 1917, particularly in the context of the educational reforms of the Russian Empire. The study explores the relationship between religious education and general education in religious institutions such as monastery schools, theological seminaries, parish schools, as well as the role of state zemstvo schools. It emphasizes that religious education, alongside general education, played an important role in shaping moral and ethical standards, especially in the context of Podillia, a multi-confessional region where Orthodox Christians, Catholics, Jews, and Protestants coexisted. The article examines the specific features of religious education for each of these groups, providing a comprehensive view of the educational situation in Podillia during this period. Particular attention is paid to religious schools as instruments for preserving national and cultural traditions in the context of the policy of Russification implemented by the Russian Empire, especially in the western provinces. The study investigates how, despite efforts by the government to Russify education, church schools not only provided religious instruction but also fundamental general education, thus preparing students for adult life. The article also analyzes spiritual and intellectual education, which became the foundation for forming civic values, social norms, and an active civic stance under imperial rule. Church educational institutions in Podillia became centers for preserving religious identity, which in turn supported the development of national consciousness in the region. A comparative analysis of religious schools among different ethnic and religious groups allows for a deeper understanding of the role of education in cultural processes at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Until 1917, religion played an important role in shaping education in Podillia, where parochial schools were the basis for the moral upbringing of young people. However, after the revolution and the secularization of education, not only the learning process itself but also the cultural and moral climate changed. The loss of the religious component in education led to significant changes in society, including the spread of socialist ideas that differed significantly from traditional Christian values.

Reforms and initiatives applied to the field of higher education during the past decade focus particularly on extending the scope of communicative educational space and scientific fields integration. Consequently, linguistic competence contributing to significant acceleration of the processes of globalization and internationalization of the society as a whole becomes the key component of higher professional education. It is necessary to ascertain that the current system of language education in universities fails to deal with the tasks in hand comprehensively. The search for more efficient didactical tools and ways of organizing teaching processes culminated in choosing the paradigm of integrated education, specifically, integration of subject knowledge and foreign language. This approach is well-renowned in scientific and educational literature as CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning).

A Socialization-Informed Framework for Integrating Social and Emotional Learning in Physical Education Teacher Education

Physical education has begun embracing the role of social and emotional learning (SEL), but less attention has been paid to the development of such skills among preservice teachers. A lack of social and emotional skills can have negative effects on preservice teachers’ ability to effectively teach SEL and to navigate the sociopolitical and sociocultural realities of schools. SEL encompasses a wide variety of tools and strategies to help students understand their emotions and develop interpersonal skills, resilience, and social skills. Using occupational socialization theory and Bloom’s taxonomy to scaffold learning experiences, we provide a practical framework for integrating SEL into physical education teacher education. If we equip preservice teachers to understand and manage their emotions, they will be better positioned to address the needs of students while addressing their own mental health. They may also see SEL as a more important component of physical education.

Evaluation of an image-rich quiz-based iOS app as a study resource for the ABR Core exam.

The American Board of Radiology Core exam requires that trainees demonstrate knowledge of critical concepts across 12 domains spanning a range of imaging modalities and anatomic regions. Mobile apps have become popular components of medical and radiology education since the inception of smartphones. Numerous medical educational apps are accessible via smartphone devices and tablets, regardless of operating system, for medical training and learning purposes. For over two decades, CTisus has served as an informational and educational radiology website containing image-rich materials and resources dedicated to the use of body CT. We conducted a study to evaluate the perceived utility of the CTisus iQuiz app as a study resource for the American Board of Radiology Core exam. The overall rating of the app was above average with 50 % of respondents characterizing the app as "Good" and 29 % evaluating the app as "Excellent." Further, 85 % of survey respondents found the app easy to understand and use, with related pearls deemed helpful by 75 % of participants, the video discussions found to be clear and beneficial by 79 %. Mobile apps are a valuable tool for the current generation of medical trainees, with quizzes shown to be an effective method to evaluate and enhance knowledge. The CTisus iQuiz app may benefit radiology residents studying for the ABR Core exam by providing access to image-rich, multiple choice-based self-assessments with in-depth explanations and feedback in an accessible interface, allowing for asynchronous learning and repeated practice.

Exploration and Practice of Practical Education Pathways in Agricultural and Forestry Universities under the Background of New Agricultural Science Construction: A Case Study of the Veterinary Medicine Major at Sichuan Agricultural University

The construction of new agricultural sciences is an important component of higher education in agriculture and forestry. It is conducive to accelerating the “Double First-Class” construction of agricultural and forestry colleges and universities, adapting to and leading the development needs of new business forms in the modern agricultural industry, and improving the quality of talent cultivation in agriculture and forestry. However, at present, under the background of new agricultural science construction, there are still some problems in the practice-oriented education of agricultural and forestry universities, such as the imperfect system and the insufficient depth of school-enterprise collaborative education, which have affected the effect of practice-oriented education. This paper analyzes the necessity of strengthening practice-oriented education in agricultural and forestry universities under the background of new agricultural sciences, dissects the dilemmas faced by the current practice-oriented education in agricultural and forestry universities, and proposes to improve the practice-oriented education system, jointly build a practice-oriented education alliance by schools and enterprises, organize special social practice activities and focus on cultivating college students’ scientific and technological innovation abilities, to improve the effectiveness and quality of practice-oriented education.

Ethno-education: Health education based on cultural diversity cultural diversity

<p>In a multicultural country such as Colombia, ethnoeducation is an important component of health education, because it promotes the quality of life of ethnic minorities based on the community's potential, practices, habits, experiences and approaches that promote overall health awareness. The purpose of this article is to perform a narrative review on the background of ethnoeducation and its impact on health. The development of inter-cultural skills among students in health fields would enable the future professional to perform their roles with adequate cultural relevance, respecting the values, traditions and history of the communities. <strong>Topics discussed: </strong>Worldwide, ethnoeducation has been highly relevant, and some international organizations have worked on its implementation for decades. In Colombia, several legal and regulatory instruments have been developed to implement ethnoeducation. However, close to 86 % of the ethnic populations do not have access to education in accordance with the established principles. The importance of ethnoeducation has been highlighted in several countries in that it has achieved positive results such as a reduction of morbidity and mortality through educational activities that promote health and help prevent diseases. To achieve this, it is essential that the planned activities be integrated into the communities' cultural perceptions. <strong>Conclusion: </strong>Although local, national and international guidelines have been established, ethnoeducation continues to be a challenge. It is necessary to increase efforts in order for ethnoeducation to achieve the objectives that have been set out from a theoretical perspective.</p>

POSSIBILITIES OF INCLUSIVE ASSESSMENT AND STIMULATION OF PRESCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN IN THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC

The issue of inclusive education is one of the most current and discussed theoretical and empirical topics. The scientific study focuses on the process of diagnosis and stimulation of preschool children's development, which is a key component of inclusive education in kindergartens. The aim of the research was to verify the effectiveness of the Depistage-Stimulation Programme for three- and four-year-old kindergarten children by means of input and output diagnostics. The results of the input and output orientation assessment of 3–4-year-old children were analysed, and then the effectiveness of a stimulation programme designed to train areas of deficit in sub-functions and symptoms was tested. Finally, the authors of the research formulated recommendations for educational theory and practice in inclusive approaches at the pre-school level of the school system. The research showed: Children scored statistically significantly better on the Output Depistage than on the Input Depistage assessment.

Research Path of Optimizing Kindergarten Brand Image Design Based on SVM and Component Analysis

Special attention has been given to China’s socio-economic development, the gradual improvement of living standards, and the increasing emphasis on preschool education by families and society. However, this process is influenced by various factors, such as school conditions, family dynamics, teacher performance, and social influences, which negatively affect the quality of kindergarten brand image and learning outcomes. These challenges hinder the effective empowerment of children across different fields. To achieve the goals of kindergarten education, teachers should leverage the comprehensive nurturing value of labor education to maximize and optimize its educational impact. Kindergarten brand image evaluation is a critical component of early childhood education, helping educators and researchers assess its effectiveness and identify areas for development. This paper addresses the issues in China’s current kindergarten brand image evaluation practices and proposes an evaluation method based on the support vector mechanism (SVM) and component analysis to enhance evaluation quality. The proposed approach aims to improve the accuracy and reliability of kindergarten brand image assessments, contributing to the advancement of early childhood education.

The Enlightenment of Hu Shi’s Literary Wisdom on Modern Education: Language, Thought, and Humanistic Spirit

Hu Shi’s literary wisdom is actually important for changing modern Chinese social thoughts and literary ideas. It also has a great impact on education. By promoting the Vernacular Movement, Hu Shi made literature more relevant to normal people. He encouraged innovative ways of teaching language and moved away from traditional classical Chinese. This made education more accessible and practical for the general population. The popularization of vernacular education not only improved students’ language expression skills but also increased their interest in and effectiveness of learning. At the same time, Hu Shi’s literary criticism emphasized emotional expression and the analysis of social realities, fostering students’ critical thinking and independent exploration. He suggested that students should think carefully about the thoughts and emotions behind literary works. This may help them improve their ability to analyze issues and question traditional beliefs. Furthermore, Hu Shi focuses on the importance of a humanistic spirit and moral education, arouses students’ emotional resonance with literature, and helps them establish a correct outlook on life and values. He thinks that the humanistic spirit is the main component of education. By learning literature, students can get a broader mind and a deeper understanding of culture. In summary, Hu Shi’s thoughts about literature not only helped boost literary creation but also offered valuable enlightenment for modern educational theory and practice. His ideas have created new ways for education, helping to develop future talents equipped with independent thinking, critical reasoning, and deep humanistic qualities.
