Comparing intraovarian vascularization in PCOS cases and controls using VOCAL and its relation to FSH & LH levels. Group I: 20 women with PCOS. Group II: 20 women (control), with a TVS showing normal ovaries. Serum LH & FSH were determined on cycle day 2-4. (VOCAL™) was used to calculate the volume of both ovaries Using the histogram facility of VOCAL™ to measure vascularization index (VI), flow index (FI) and vascularization flow index (VFI). Mean VI in PCOS group was higher than control (0.645 ,control was 0.614), statistically significant. Mean FI in PCOS group was higher than control ( 31.64 ,control was 6.93), statistically highly significant (p < 0.001). Mean VFI in the PCOS group was higher than control (0.403, control was 0.042), statistically significant (P < 0.05). The correlation of the ( VI ,FI and VFI) and LH in the PCOS group revealed + ve correlation and a high statistical significant difference.
