Bibliometric Analysis of Spline Regression Model for Trend Mapping and Strategy Development Research Using Vosviewer

Bibliometric analysis is a quantitative method used to measure and analyze scientific literature. This technique involves the collection and analysis of publication data, such as journal articles, books, and conferences, to evaluate and understand patterns of scientific communication, research productivity, author collaboration, journal impact, and trends within a scientific field. Bibliometric analysis has a limitation in that it is challenging to visualize effectively, necessitating the use of software for proper visualization. Therefore, this article discusses bibliometric analysis on spline regression for trend mapping and strategy development using VOSviewer software. The research results show that the visualization of spline regression keywords with VOSviewer can help in understanding patterns of relationships between variables, research trends, and network structures in scientific literature. Based on the analysis results, bibliometric analysis on spline regression can be visualized in trend mapping, which can aid in planning further research strategies, including identifying collaboration opportunities and underexplored research areas.

Changes in urine dipstick proteinuria and its relation to the risk of diabetic retinopathy and neuropathy.

Proteinuria is considered as a predictor for cardiovascular complications in diabetes mellitus (DM). However, no study has examined the association between changes in proteinuria and the risk of diabetic microvascular complications. Study participants were 71,825 DM patients who received urine dipstick test for proteinuria both in 2003-2004 and 2006-2007. They were categorized into four groups according to changes in proteinuria over 3 years (negative: negative → negative, resolved: proteinuria ≥ 1+ → negative, incident: negative → proteinuria ≥ 1+, persistent: proteinuria ≥ 1+ → proteinuria ≥ 1+). Cox-proportional hazard model was used in assessing the adjusted hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for incidence of retinopathy, and neuropathy (adjusted HR [95% CI]). In all of DM patients, risk for comprehensive incidence of retinopathy and neuropathy increased in all types of proteinuria changes. In type 1 DM, HR for retinopathy and neuropathy generally increased in order of negative (reference), resolved (2.175 [1.150-4.114] and 1.335 [0.909-1.961]), incident (2.088 [1.185-3.680] and 1.753 [1.275-2.409]), and persistent proteinuria (1.314 [0.418-4.134] and 2.098 [1.274-3.455]). This pattern of relationship was similarly observed in type 2 DM for retinopathy and neuropathy: negative (reference), resolved (1.490 [1.082-2.051] and 1.164 [0.988-1.371]), incident (1.570 [1.161-2.123] and 1.291 [1.112-1.500]), and persistent proteinuria (2.309 [1.407-3.788] and 1.272 [0.945-1.712]). Risk for diabetic retinopathy and neuropathy generally increased in order of negative, resolved, incident, and persistent proteinuria. Once manifested proteinuria was associated with the increased risk of diabetic retinopathy and neuropathy even after remission of proteinuria.

Multiple Brucella melitensis lineages are driving the human brucellosis epidemic in Shaanxi Province, China: evidence from whole genome sequencing-based analysis

IntroductionHuman brucellosis is a severe public concern in Shaanxi Province, China, and investigating the epidemiological relationship and transmission pattern of B. melitensis is necessary to devise control strategies.MethodsIn this study, a conventional bio-typing approach and whole genome sequencing of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were employed to identify 189 strains.ResultsBased on the conventional bio-typing, 189 Brucella strains were identified as B. melitensis, of which 14 were in bv. 1, 145 were in bv. 3, and 30 were variant, and the Brucella strains were distributed in all ten cities in Shaanxi Province. SNP analysis was used to identify genetic variation in 189 B. melitensis genomes, and maximum-likelihood was used to generate a phylogeny that identified two clades (A and B) and 19 sequence types (STs). The two clades were highly diverse and exclusively of Eastern Mediterranean origin. Clade B contained 18 STs (2-19), with most isolates originating from a broad swath, implying that multiple B. melitensis lineages circulated in Shaanxi. The 19 STs were composed of 3 to 46 strains isolated from different counties and years, suggesting that multiple cross-county brucellosis outbreak events are driven by multiple B. melitensis lineages. Global phylogenetic analysis revealed that clade A was close to GTIIb, and clade B was placed in the GTIIh lineage, expanding the known diversity of B. melitensis from China.ConclusionThe human brucellosis epidemic in Shaanxi is driven by multiple indigenous circulating B. melitensis lineages, the knowledge of which will contribute to devising a control strategy and providing the foundation for a comprehensive regional phylogeny of this important zoonotic pathogen.

Capturing the Prevalence, Patterns, and Predictors of Supportive Relationships in Early Adolescence

Guided by self-determination theory and the bioecological model, this latent class analysis explores the patterns and predictors of supportive relationships in a national sample of early adolescents ( N = 6,469). A six-class solution emerged: youth with (1) emotional, informational, and academic support from various adults and peers across home, school, and community settings; (2) emotional and informational support from school friends; (3) low support; (4) emotional, informational, and academic support from parents and school friends; (5) emotional and informational support from out of school friends, and (6) emotional and informational support from family. Multinomial logistic regression results indicate the unequal distribution of relational support was predicted by individual, home, or school characteristics: being female, extracurricular participation, and higher socioeconomic home or school contexts were associated with membership in classes with a pattern of greater relational support in comparison to the low support class. The importance of targeting subgroups of adolescents in need of relational support and enhancing home and school settings are discussed.

The aim of this research is a descriptive quantitative type of research with the aim of analyzing the financial performance of Uluway Village, Kec. Mentengkan District. Tana Toraja. The sample used is financial report data for the Uluway village, subdistrict. Mengkedek District, Tana Toraja in 2018-2022. Data collection is carried out by observation and requesting financial reports. In this research, the data source used in data collection is secondary data. Research result The performance of the Uluway Village Government when viewed from the Regional Financial Independence Ratio during 2018-2022, can generally be said to be very low and includes an instructive relationship pattern. Based on the Regional Original Income Effectiveness Ratio during 2018-2022, in general, it can be said to be effective. Based on the Shopping Efficiency Ratio during 2018-2022, generally, it can be considered inefficient. If we look at the PADes Growth Ratio and Total Income Growth Ratio during 2018-2022, in general, it can be said that the PADes growth ratio and total income of Uluway Village is low. If we look at the Operating Expenditure Ratio, it is classified as quite good and the average value of the capital expenditure ratio is in the good category. This means that the Uluway Village Government in allocating its funds for capital expenditure is relatively good. This shows that the village government has paid attention to the use of its funds for village development

Between Can’t and Won’t: The Relationship Between Trait Mindfulness, Stoic Ideology, and Alexithymia in Norway and New Zealand

Abstract Objectives The aim of the present study was to provide cross-cultural insight into the relationship between mindfulness, alexithymia, and stoic ideology. Method Using samples from New Zealand (n = 330) and Norway (n = 326), we estimated the facet-level network relationship of our target constructs, as well as the invariance of the estimated networks across cultural contexts. Results Across cultural contexts, we found a consistent pattern of relationships in which both stoic ideology and alexithymia were negatively related to mindfulness. Negative relationships were especially pronounced between alexithymia and the mindfulness facets of Describing, Non-Judgement, and Acting with Awareness. This indicates that individual differences in these mindfulness facets might be more firmly rooted in difficulties identifying and describing emotions, compared to beliefs related to emotional suppression, as captured by stoic ideology. While the mindfulness facets showed overall expected patterns of relationships with both alexithymia and stoic ideology, Non-Reacting showed a divergent pattern. Non-Reacting was positively related to a tendency of Externally Oriented Thinking, as well as with Death-Acceptance, in both countries. Thus, this facet not only might capture Non-reactivity within the context of mindfulness, but also could potentially capture aspects of emotional avoidance. Conclusions Overall, the study highlights that mindfulness could be influenced by both individual differences in emotion processing and cognitive beliefs about emotion processing. This accentuates the importance of examining both individual differences in, and cognitive beliefs about emotion regulation in research regarding mindfulness.

Evaluation of the Accuracy of Point-of-Care Urine Chloride Measured via Strip Test in Patients with Heart Failure

Background: In clinical practice, patient self-monitoring is crucial in achieving therapeutic goals in various diseases. In heart failure (HF), it is particularly important due to the increasing role of urine composition. Therefore, we proposed this study to assess the accuracy of urine chloride (uCl−) assessment via strip test in relation to chloride and sodium (uNa+) measurements in a gold-standard laboratory method. Methods: Urine samples were collected before administering morning medications. Afterwards, they were analyzed concurrently using the strip test and gold-standard laboratory method. Results: The study cohort comprised 66 patients (82% male, mean age 68 ± 12 years), of whom 65% were diagnosed with HF and 35% without HF. Across the entire cohort, a strong correlation was observed between uCl− measured by both methods (r = 0.85; p < 0.001). However, the strip test was found to underestimate uCl− relative to the laboratory measurements (mean difference of 18 mmol/L). Furthermore, strong correlations were observed between the methods among patients with HF and without HF (r = 0.88 vs. r = 0.71, respectively; p < 0.001 for both), where they presented similar relationship patterns. Interestingly, in patients with a low glomerular filtration rate (eGFR ≤ 60 mL/min/1.73 m2), the correlation between both methods was greater compared to those with high eGFR (>60 mL/min/1.73 m2) (r = 0.94 vs. r = 0.76, respectively; p < 0.001 for both). The relationship between uCl− from the strip test and uNa+ from the laboratory measurement was weaker than for uCl−, but it was significant. Conclusions: These findings suggest that point-of-care strip tests for assessing urinary chloride demonstrate high accuracy and potential utility, particularly in patients with reduced eGFR.

The Mediating Role of Social Interactions and Early Psychopathological Symptoms in the Relationship Between Empathy and Prosociality in Young Children with ASD and Neurotypical Peers.

This study examined the relationship between empathy, prosocial behaviour, social interactions and early psychopathological symptoms (internalising and externalising behaviours) in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and typically developing (TD) children. A total of 506 parents of children aged 18-48 months participated in this study. The parents of 92 children with ASD and 414 neurotypical children completed the Empathy Questionnaire, the Child Prosocial Behaviour Questionnaire, and the Emotional and Social Development Questionnaire. The results confirmed the direct relationship between empathy and prosocial behaviour in both groups. However, the findings showed a different pattern of the indirect relationship between empathy and prosociality through the social dimensions in the children with ASD compared to their typically developing peers. In the children with ASD, there was only one significant indirect path from empathy to prosocial behaviour - through internalising behaviours (anxiety). Anxiety also played a moderating role in this relationship. The higher the anxiety, the stronger the relationship between empathy and prosociality. In the neurotypical group, social interactions were a significant mediator, strengthening the relationship between empathy and prosocial behaviour. Externalising behaviours weakened this relationship. Intergroup and gender differences were also examined. These findings may have practical implications for social skills training programmes based on behavioural interventions by highlighting the importance of prosocial behaviour for social interaction and protection against psychopathological problems in children with autism and typically developing children.

Digitalisation Empowerment of Business to Digital Innovation in the Achievement of SDGs: A Survey on Creative Msme Actors in Indonesia

Objective: This study aims to test and analyse the relationship patterns of digital business-based training, empowerment of MSME actors, digital self-efficacy and digital innovation in creative MSMEs for the achievement of SDGs in MSMEs in West Java and Banten Provinces, Indonesia. Theoretical Framework: Digital literacy is needed so that a person has the ability to access information related to digital-based media. MSMEs are required to have renewable digital-based business methods in order to provide optimal and satisfying services. When MSMEs have high digital literacy through digital-based training, they could increase high self-efficacy. Empowering MSMEs based on digital business is very necessary in the digital era. Human resources in the organisation is expected to have digital competencies (skills, knowledge, attitude). Also, employees are expected to increase digital self-efficacy in order to increase digital innovation and MSME performance in the long term. Method: This study uses quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 250 natural colour batik MSMEs in West Java and Banten Provinces. 207 questionnaires are filled in completely and then processed with Partial Least Square statistical techniques. Results and Discussion: This study finds that digital-based business training has a significant positive impact on the empowerment of MSME actors, and digital self-efficacy of MSME actors. In addition, empowerment of MSME players has significant positive impact on digital innovation and digital self-efficacy. On the other hand, digital self-efficacy of MSME actors has significant positive impact on digital innovation and is able to mediate the effect of business digital-based training on digital innovation. However, empowerment of MSME actors cannot mediate the effect of business digital-based training on digital innovation. Research Implications: This study provide guidance for the government and MSME empowerment organisations to design more targeted digital-based training. In addition, this study highlights the importance of supporting technological infrastructure and providing wider access to digital technology, especially for creative MSMEs in Indonesia. This study also enriches the literature on the role of digital training on digital empowerment and digital self-efficacy. Likewise, it provides implications for the role of digital empowerment and digital self-efficacy in encouraging digital innovation. Originality/Value: This study offers a business digitalisation empowerment model for creative MSMEs in order to increase digital innovation for creative MSMEs in achieving SDGs in Indonesia. The research model considers digital-based business training, empowerment of MSME players, and digital self-efficacy.

Taxonomic Diversity, Predicted Metabolic Pathway, and Interaction Pattern of Bacterial Community in Sea Urchin Anthocidaris crassispina.

Bacterial assemblages associated with sea urchin are critical to their physiology and ecology within marine ecosystems. In this study, we characterized the bacterial communities in wild sea urchin Anthocidaris crassispina captured in Daya Bay, South China Sea. A total of 363 amplicon sequence variants belonging to nine phyla and 141 genera were classified from intestine, body surface, and surrounding seawater samples. Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Bacteroidetes were the dominant bacteria phyla found in this study. A network analysis of bacterial interspecies interactions revealed varying complexity, stability, connectivity, and relationship patterns across the samples, with the most intricate network observed in the surrounding seawater. Metagenomic predictions highlighted the distinct bacterial metabolic pathways, with significant differences between intestine and seawater samples. Notably, pathways associated with polysaccharide degradation, including chitin derivatives, starch, and CoM biosynthesis, were markedly abundant, underscoring the gut microbiota's key role in digesting algae. In addition, other metabolic pathways in intestine samples were linked to immune response regulation of sea urchins. Overall, this study provides a comprehensive overview of the bacterial community structure and potential functional roles in A. crassispina.

Chimpanzees employ context-specific behavioral strategies within fission-fusion societies.

Fission-fusion social systems allow individuals to make flexible choices about where, with whom, and in what contexts to spend their time in response to competing social and ecological pressures. The ability for fission-fusion societies to support individual behavioral strategies that vary across contexts has been suggested, but the potential function of such context-specific social choices remains largely understudied. We adopted the concept of social niche construction to explore possible differences in social complexity at the individual and group level across feeding contexts. Specifically, we examined patterns of co-attendance across two common ecological contexts in wild Central African chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes troglodytes) in the Goualougo Triangle, Republic of Congo. From data compiled over 6years, we used multidimensional social network analysis to study the patterns of co-attendance generated from 436 group scans at Ficus and 4527 visits to termite mounds. These two contexts were chosen, because they are both fixed spatial features across the landscape that serve as well-defined points to compare association patterns. We identified context-specific social niche construction in a fission-fusion chimpanzee society that produce different patterns of relationships and social complexity that are consistent in their expression over many years, and offer functional benefits. While enhancing our understanding of chimpanzee behavioral strategies, culture, and conservation, our investigation also indicates that the social niche construction framework aids in elucidating the evolutionary advantages of fission-fusion sociality by accounting for intra- and interindividual variability, cognition, and choice in newfound ways.

Helping in Times of War: How Uncertainty Modulates Aid to Ukrainian Refugees through Compassion and Threat

Abstract The present paper focuses on the antecedents of solidarity behavior towards Ukrainian refugees, specifically examining the role of subjective uncertainty generated in public opinion by the aggression of Ukraine on feelings of compassion and perceptions of refugees as a threat. Based on pooled data from six representative samples collected in different waves during the first six months of the Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine among a representative sample of adult Italian citizens (N = 6,063), the study provided support for the intensification hypothesis, suggesting that uncertainty can act as an affective amplifier. Indeed, the results showed that uncertainty increased perceptions of refugees as a threat (acting on its emotional component, i.e., anxiety), but also feelings of compassion, which is a main driver of solidarity. Moreover, compassion seemed to reduce the (perceived) threat posed by refugees on an economic, cultural, security, or political level. The pattern of relationships tested in the model proved to be stable across different areas of the country and for the first 6 months of the Russian invasion, suggesting that the empathic concern generated by the suffering of the Ukrainian population under attack did not significantly diminish its effects over the period considered.

Can We Differentiate Between Organic and Functional Bladder Outlet Obstruction in Males With Parkinson's Disease?

To determine the type of bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). A case-control study was carried out in 46 patients divided into two groups. Group 1 formed by 23 PD patients with BOO (a URA parameter ≥ 29 cm H2O). Group 2 formed by 23 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and compressive obstruction (an opening pressure > 35 cm H2O) and URA parameter ≥ 29 cm H2O). Both groups underwent a pressure-flow study to calculate Dynamic Urethral Resistance Relationship (DURR) patterns. Based on previous research, we describe two types of DURR pattern. Pattern A typical of dynamic or functional obstruction and pattern B typical of static or organic obstruction. We found that PD patients had a significantly higher frequency of pattern A (70%) than BPH patients (4%). Other significant differences between groups were age (greater in PD group), bladder compliance (greater in PD group), maximum flow rate [Qmax (greater in BPH group)], maximum detrusor pressure [Pmax (greater in BPH group)], detrusor pressure at maximum flow rate [PQmax (greater in BPH group)], opening detrusor pressure (greater in BPH group), and the bladder contractility parameters BCI and Wmax (greater in BPH group). There were no significant differences in perineal voiding electromyography (EMG) activity between groups nor relationship between voiding EMG activity and the type of DURR pattern. Our results are consistent with the usefulness of the DURR pattern to differentiate between functional and organic BOO in PD patients. Most PD patients have functional obstruction although a minority has organic obstruction consistent with BPH.

Student learning trajectories in finding the perimeter and area of a rectangular in the context of a fishing pond

Mathematics is a difficult subject for elementary school students. One of the causes is errors in mathematical concepts and principles made by students. For this reason, efforts need to be made to improve the concept and principles of quadrilaterals. The aim of this research is to design student learning trajectories in finding the perimeter and area of a rectangle in the context of a fishing pond. This is research with a design research approach. The subjects of this research were 50 students divided into two groups, 25 people each. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and is developed through certain relationship patterns. The results of this research show that the mathematics learning trajectory design was implemented very well. It improves the ability of understanding about quadrilaterals. The learning path is activity-1: students create a representation of the context of a fishing pond and a rectangular image. Activity-2: students determine the perimeter of a rectangular image by placing match sticks around the rectangle in sequence, holding them tightly together. Activity-3: students determine the circumference of the fishing pond. Activity-4: students determine how to calculate the circumference of the pond by drawing a rectangle using matchsticks. Activity-5: students discover the principle of perimeter of a rectangle. The conclusion of this research is that the mathematics learning trajectory design is valid, practical, and increases the ability to understand concepts and principles from quadrilaterals.

Estimation of the Unemployment Rate in Indonesia Using Nonparametric Spline Regression

The COVID-19 pandemic impact is not only on health but on all aspects of life, one of the socio-economic aspects is unemployment. The linear regression be used as a method in modeling the unemployment rate frequently. Whereas linear regression is inappropriate for data that have trends or irregular relationship patterns such as unemployment rate data. Therefore, this research used of the nonparametric spline regression method. It can produce more flexible curves according to the flatline of data based on optimum knots at the optimum value of the cross validation. There are several factors suggested that affect the Unemployment Rate (TPT ), including the number of positive COVID cases, labor force participation rate, economic growth and human development index. The purpose of this study is to find out if there is a difference between the open unemployment rate (TPT) in Indonesia before and during the pandemic. The Data used are secondary data obtained from Badan Pusat Statistika (BPS). The calculations results show that there are differences between the models of the unemployment rate before and during the pandemic. Generally there are three significant variables in the before the pandemic model: variables of economic growth (PE) and the human development index (IPM), while during the pandemic the significant variable are the labor force participation rate (TPAK) and economic growth (PE).

Coupling relationship and development patterns of agricultural emission reduction, carbon sequestration, and food security

In-depth exploration of the coupling relationship between agricultural emission reduction and carbon sequestration (ERCS) and food security provides an important basis for promoting sustainable low-carbon development in agriculture. This research investigates the coupling mechanisms and the current state of coordinated development of agricultural ERCS and food security using provincial panel data from 2001 to 2022 in China. The agricultural ERCS level shows an upward trend, with higher levels in the north and lower in the south; externalities are positive in the north but negative in the south. Significant dynamic interactions and spatial correlations between the agricultural ERCS and food security exist, with a local spatial agglomeration pattern of “north–south opposition”. Areas of high-high agglomeration are mainly concentrated in the north, while low-low agglomeration areas are primarily in the south. High-high agglomeration areas drive growth in transitional and low-growth areas through diffusion effects. The average coupling coordination degree of provinces increased from 0.432 to 0.473, indicating more coordinated development, and with a decreasing polarization trend. The spatial distributions of the coupling coordination degree and the relative development index are higher in the north and lower in the south, with many areas showing high adjustment, low adjustment, and high antagonism, particularly in the south where the number of high antagonistic areas has decreased. Implementing differentiated development strategies between the north and the south, using spatial agglomeration characteristics to optimize regional policies, focusing on the diffusion effects of high-coupling coordination areas to drive the development of low-growth and transitional areas, and enhancing the lagged terms can promote sustainable coordinated agricultural development.

Biplot Analysis of Life Satisfaction Dimensions in the Happiness Index

The main goal of every individual in life is to achieve happiness, a subjective concept. To measure happiness, one approach used is the life satisfaction dimension. In multivariate analysis, the biplot method emerges as a useful tool to map variables and objects of observation simultaneously in a two-dimensional graph. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing biplots on the happiness index, with the dimension of life satisfaction as the main variable. The data used comes from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), specifically related to the Life Satisfaction Dimension of the Happiness Index in 2021. By conducting careful biplot analysis, the pattern of relationships between provinces in the context of happiness can be revealed. The results of the biplot analysis show that provinces in the same quadrant have closer similarities in happiness characteristics than provinces in different quadrants.

Patterns of variation and relationships among fat, protein, and milk yield of individual dairy cattle in a Thai multibreed population.

This study systematically examines the patterns of milk yield (MY, kg), fat (FAT, %), and protein (PROT, %) in a diverse population of Thai multibreed dairy cattle, considering the tropical environment's impact on lactating cows. Using a dataset of 47,205 monthly test-day records from 4,440 first-lactation cows across 446 farms, we analyze variations and interrelationships through mathematical averaging and introduce the fat-to-protein ratio (FPR) to assess acidosis (FPR < 1.1) and ketosis (FPR > 1.5) risks during lactation. Pearson correlation analysis elucidated trait associations. The findings, aligned with established lactation norms, indicate peak production at 297 days in milk (DIM) for FAT (4.08%; SD = 0.96%), PROT (3.43%; SD = 0.47%), and 52 DIM for MY (18.09kg; SD = 4.91kg). Nadirs are observed at 72 DIM for FAT (3.27%; SD = 0.74%), 47 DIM for PROT (2.86%; SD = 0.36%), and 299 DIM for MY (9.05kg; SD = 2.95kg). FPR variations highlight acidosis (46.48%), normal (43.66%), and ketosis (9.86%), especially during early lactation (100 DIM). Significant negative correlations emerge between MY, FAT, and PROT (P < 0.05), while a positive correlation is identified between FAT and PROT (P < 0.01), with robust correlations during early lactation. This study contributes to understanding tailored nutritional strategies for dairy cows' holistic health and sustainability in tropical environments, guiding efficient production practices and mitigating health-related productivity impediments.

Analisis Pendapatan Daerah dalam Mengukur Kemandirian Daerah Kabupaten Bandung

A region's ability to manage regional finances will influence the level of regional independence. To measure the regional independence of Bandung Regency, regional income was measured using ratio analysis consisting of the degree of decentralization ratio, the regional dependency ratio, the regional financial independence ratio, and the PAD effectiveness ratio. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method using secondary data in the form of budget realization reports. The results of the research show that the regional financial performance of Bandung Regency has not been maximized with an average degree of decentralization of 18.41% with the criteria of insufficient capacity, the level of regional dependency is very high with an average of 68.45%, the average level of regional financial independence is 26.93% are included in low financial capability and have a consultative relationship pattern, the average PAD effectiveness level is 110.76% or is included in the very effective category. From the research results it can be concluded that Bandung Regency is not yet independent in managing its regional finances. Efforts that the Bandung Regency Regional Government can make to overcome this are by conducting outreach regarding tax regulations to taxpayers, exploring other potential sources of PAD revenue, and intensifying PAD revenue.

Multivariate and network lesion mapping reveals distinct architectures of domain-specific post-stroke cognitive impairments

BackgroundThe purpose of this study was to identify patterns of structural disconnection and multivariate lesion-behaviour relationships associated with post-stroke deficits across six commonly impacted cognitive domains: executive function, language, memory, numerical processing, praxis, and visuospatial attention. MethodsStroke survivors (n = 593) completed a brief domain-specific cognitive assessment (the Oxford Cognitive Screen (OCS)) during acute hospitalisation. Network-level and multivariate (sparce canonical correlation) lesion mapping analyses were conducted to identify focal neural correlates and distributed patterns of structural disconnection associated with impairment on each of the 16 OCS measures. ResultsNetwork-level and multivariate lesion mapping analyses identified significant correlates for 12/16 and 10/16 OCS measures, respectively which were largely consistent with correlates reported in past work. Language impairments were reliably localised to network- and voxel-level correlates centred in left fronto-temporal regions. Memory impairments were associated with disconnection in a large network of left hemisphere regions. Number processing deficits were associated with damage to voxels centred in the left insular/opercular cortex, as well as disconnection within the surrounding white matter tracts. Within the domain of attention, different subtypes of visuospatial neglect were linked to distinct but partially overlapping patterns of disconnection and voxel-level damage. Praxis impairment was not linked to any voxel-level regions but was significantly associated with disconnection within the left hemisphere dorsal attention network. ConclusionThese results highlight the utility of routine, domain-specific cognitive assessment and imaging data for theoretically-driven lesion mapping analyses, while providing novel insight into the complex anatomical correlates of common and debilitating post-stroke cognitive impairments.
