Small cell (oat cell) lung carcinoma is a common neoplasm that represents 25% to 36% of all lung tumors. Metastatic extrathoracic sites are frequent, occurring in more than 95% of autopsy studies performed on patients succumbing to this disease. However, bilateral parotid metastases are rarely found. The following report describes such a case in which the diagnosis of lung carcinoma was made after recognition of the metastatic lesions.
