Handicrafts that are made by thehands have been developed to induce hand move -ments. Today, they provide leisure skills and aresometimes used as therapeutic tools.All handicrafts require problem-solving, physicalabilities, orientation, and the permanency of percep -tion. For this reason, handicrafts have been used asa clinical tool since the establishment of the profes -sion of operation therapy. Handicrafts are applied toleather crafts, beadwork, metal craft, mosaic, art-work, thread-crafts, paper crafts, and computer.Among them, paper crafts refer to those handicraftsof making shapes by cutting or folding paper. Amongpaper crafts, origami enables anybody regardless ofage or sex to make flowers, animals, plants, dolls,mobiles, and frames anytime anywhere. In particu -lar, it greatly helps growing youths in their whole -some leisure activities and brain development as cre -ative artwork making and provides elderly personswith opportunities to obtain pleasure by making toysfor children and to have confidence in success(1).
