The folloiving paragraphs briefly summarize the eleventh annual meeting of the Western Council for Travel Research, which in the editor's opinion was the most significant meeting ever held by the group in terms of decisions made, quality of program, and numbers present. A far-reaching action was taken when the organization voted unanimously to affiliate with Travel Research Association (details on page 3). About 125 delegates attended a truly outstanding program. Conference registrants and members of WCTR automatically will receive a copy of the conference proceedings when they are published. Other readers will not want to miss receiving a copy of the proceedings and are urged to use the order blank on page 19 of the BULLETIN to order a copy. The editor wishes to thank Edith Arden, William Keeling, William Conrad, Gerald Linkin, Robert Lundy, and Barry Jones for their assistance in compiling the highlights of the conference.
