In the present work, we have reported preparation of silver hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (AgHAPnp) and poly (ɛ-caprolactone)/poly (methyl methacrylate) (PCL/PMMA)/AgHAP nanocomposites using wet chemical precipitation and solvent-casting techniques, respectively. The AgHAPnp and PCL/PMMA/AgHAP nanocomposites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, field emission-scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis techniques. Mechanical properties like microhardness, compressive strength, and modulus of nanocompsoite were also determined. The antibacterial tests were also performed against the species S. aureus and E. coli. In addition, the cytotoxicity of the material was also determined by the MTT assay test.
