IMPLANT-PROSTHETIC REHABILITATION OF PARTIALLY EDENTULOUS PATIENTS WITH SURGICAL GUIDES

Nowadays, the main goal of the oral rehabilitation treatment plan is not only to insert an implant into the bone, but to insert and integrate it so that the surrounding hard tissues and soft tissues are adequate. In this way, the long-term success of the treatment plan will be achieved. Background: The main purpose of the study was to present the advantages and disadvantages of using the dental implant insertion technique through the surgical guide as well as to evaluate the degree of its use among implantologists. Material and Methods: The study involved 120 patients who presented in the dental clinic requesting complex oral rehabilitation with restorations supported by implants. Following the anamnesis, intraoral clinical examination, laboratory and radiological evaluation, the type of edentulism was diagnosed, for which classical and alternative treatment plans were proposed. Results: From the group of edentulous patients, 40 patients chose the implant-prosthetic rehabilitation. Among them, 29 patients chose the guided method of implant insertion. Conclusions: Guided placement implant restorations are a viable solution for a painless and successful protocol in implant oral rehabilitation.

DENTAL IMPLANT INSERTION – HOW TO PLAN AND PREDICT SUCCESS

For decades, implant placement protocols and implant loading protocols were addressed independently from one another. With the healing of the alveolar socket post-extraction, the implant placement protocol and the surgical technique are determining factors for selection of an appropriate implant loading protocol; these should be considered as codependent variables. The objectives of the study were to highlight factors influencing the implant placement and loading protocol. Material and methods. The retrospective study included patients presented for teeth extraction and oral rehabilitation treatment plan that included implant restorations between October 2020 and October 2022. Factors influencing implant placement and loading protocol were analyzed for each case. Representative cases were presented with details. Results. 10 clinical cases were included in the study, in which implanto-prosthetic treatment was performed using different insertion protocols. Three representative cases were presented. Conclusions. Implant insertion protocols are closely related to multiple factors, so the clinician nowadays must carefully decide the time elapsed from tooth extraction to the moment of dental implant insertion. The insertion protocol should be chosen only if the factors influencing that protocol led to the success of the implant-prosthetic treatment.

Mandibular Fracture following Dental Implant Protocol: Clinical Report and One-Year Follow-Up

Bone fractures following mandibular dental implant protocols associated with diagnosed osteoporosis are rare in the literature. We present a case in which a 55-year-old male patient with no previous medical history presented to the emergency department with pain in the left mandibular parasymphysis and gingival bleeding. Clinical examination revealed crepitus, mandibular mobility, and clinical signs of localized fracture and infection. Further radiographs confirmed a mandibular fracture in the region of the alveolus of tooth 34 and four implants placed in the mandible as part of the patient’s immediate implant protocol. The infection developed into osteomyelitis, which was treated with a combination of antibiotics. After the infectious process had been eradicated, new complementary tests were carried out, which revealed that the patient had osteoporosis. Oral rehabilitation treatment and calcium replacement were carried out under specialist medical supervision. The importance of proper planning and clinical assessment of the patient is discussed, and the proposed long-term management of the case has been carried out.

Oral mucosa diseases in seafarers during long voyages, their treatment and prevention : prospective study

OBJECTIVE: To detect oral mucous membrane disease of the mouth, lips and tongue in seafarers on long voyage, to evaluate preventive measures and treatment effectiveness. MATERIALS AND METHODS: There was a dental examination of 169 men, aged 22-52 on long voyage, who got full treatment and preventive measures of oral rehabilitation in the pre-deployment period in a time manner. The seafarers were divided into 2 groups. The 1st group included 57 seamen, who were part of the crew. The 2nd group consisted of 112 men, who were training and had the first long voyage. The oral mucosa diagnosis was based on a clinic examination. When identifying pathology, treatment was provided and there were anti-relapse measures after its completion, which were possible given the people on board on long voyage. RESULTS: It was found that the structure of oral mucosa is quite different among people of the 1st and 2nd groups. The pathology among the crew occurred more often due to the autoimmune component of pathogenesis in 5,26% and 0,9% cases respectively, while the people in the 2nd group, being on long voyage as part of their training, experienced infectious oral mucosa pathology (12,28% and 15,32% respectively) significantly more often, and also lesions of the lips due to meteorological factors in 8,77% and 10,81% cases accordingly. DISCUSSION: The article discusses the treatment of meteorological cheilitis, the fracture of the vermilion border of the lip, Vincent disease, herpetic fever and chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis with the use of domestic medicine for topical application. CONCLUSION: On long voyage 26,04% seafarers had cases of oral mucosa, among which most frequently diagnosed ones were infectious diseases, pathology due to meteorological factors, and also diseases with the autoimmune component of pathogenesis. In all cases domestic medicine for topical application was used to reveal pathology of oral mucosa, and further, to prevent its recurrence that allowed to achieve a good therapeutic result and to avoid recurrence of oral mucosa disease, typical for seafarers during a 9-month voyage.

Supervivencia de implantes dentales en pacientes diabéticos: Revisión Sistemática

Dental implant therapy is considered a successful oral rehabilitation treatment. Advances in design, surface characteristics and surgical protocols make implant rehabilitation an effective treatment alternative for edentulous areas and solve functional, phonetic aesthetic and psychological problems; however, risk factors such as diabetes can compromise osseointegration or negatively affect the maintenance of peri-implant biological health. Marginal Bone loss and plaque index have been used to identify peri-implant diseases related to oral rehabilitation with implants. Objective: analyze the survival rate of dental implants in diabetic patients compared to non-diabetic patients. Methodology: The PRISMA statement parameters were used to develop the search strategy and answer the PICO question: does implant placement in healthy versus diabetic patients have a higher survival rate? Results: From a total of 175 articles, 13 were selected for bias analysis. The quantitative variables of the different studies were analyzed to answer the PICO question. Conclusions: It was found that there is no relationship between the survival rate un controlled diabetic and non-diabetic patients according to the analysis of marginal bone loss and plaque index, however, significant differences were found between uncontrolled diabetic patients and non-diabetic patients.

SOCIAL MEDIA RESEARCH ON "LAMINATE VENEER": DURING COVID 19-PANDEMIC

Aim: The difficulty of asking questions to each other during the appointment process with their doctor, the long waiting times of the patients in the waiting rooms in the clinics, and the fact that it is easier to get medical information on the internet due to the ongoing COVID-19 virus infection. Porcelain laminate veneers (PLVs) have been frequently used to restore anterior teeth for nearly three decades, thanks to their aesthetic appeal, durability, and biocompatibility. Methodology: YouTube™ was searched by a researcher of this study using the keyword 'laminate veneer' on April 17, 2021. The most frequently used terms in this regard are 'laminate veneer' and 'laminate veneer restoration'. Analyzes were made on the Instagram application, along with YouTube. Results: Thirty-three videos were determined on YouTube™ on the topic of laminate veneer. The mean number of views was 46277.84 ± 128674.71, with the minimum view as ten and the maximum as 682478. The videos had a mean duration of 5:48 ± 4:64 with a range of 0:24–14:55. The mean number of "likes" for each video was 198 ± 424, and the mean number of "dislikes" was 17 ± 48. The most-liked video received 1700 "likes." The most-disliked video received 236"dislikes." The mean number of comments was 13.65 ± 31.58. The interaction rate was 1.67 ± 5.18, and the viewing rate was 2939.11 ± 6076.75 Conclusion: YouTube™ and Instagram still cannot be accepted as a completely confident resources of knowledge for patients who want to learn about oral aesthetic rehabilitation treatment with laminate veneers

Research of the osseointegration and saucerization process in bone regeneration for dental implants: a concise systematic review

​Introduction: In the context of implantology, bone regeneration is a science that aims to recover bone elevation for dental implants, with its main focus being the stomatognathic system. The treatment of oral rehabilitation with implants obtained a substantial evolution through the concept of osseointegration. A physiological process of peri-implant bone remodeling was observed during numerous investigations related to osseointegration and implantology. And, specific immune cells such as macrophages play a crucial role in the dynamics of osseointegration. Objective: to present the main approaches and clinical results on the process of bone regeneration, osseointegration, and saucerization in the implantology scenario through a systematic review of the literature. Methods: The present study followed a systematic review model, following the rules of systematic review – PRISMA. The search strategy was performed in the PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science and Scopus, and Google Scholar databases. The quality of the studies was based on the GRADE instrument and the risk of bias was analyzed according to the Cochrane instrument. Results and Conclusion: The total of 156 articles were found. A total of 74 articles were fully evaluated and 20 were included in this study. Considering the Cochrane tool for risk of bias, the overall assessment resulted in 50 studies that were excluded with a high risk of bias (studies with a small sample size). Also, 12 studies were excluded because they did not meet the GRADE. Based on the objective of the present study, it was concluded that bone saucerization around osseointegrated implants represents a fundamental process for dental implant success, and with a controlled immunological process.

The Quantification of Salivary Flow and pH and Stomatognathic System Rehabilitation Interference in Patients with Oral Diseases, Post-Radiotherapy

Xerostomia is a common complication post-radiotherapy in patients with oral cancer. The acute and long-term side effects can considerably reduce the patient’s quality of life. The aim of our study was to perform analysis of salivary flow and pH in patients after radiotherapy. Methodology: Clinical and laboratory evaluations were conducted in the 2014–2019 period; out of a total 58 subjects aged between 45 and 84, 28 individuals with oral cancer were selected from St. Spiridon Hospital, Clinic of Maxillo-facial Surgery and Oncology Hospital, Iasi post-radiotherapy. Results: Significant downsized mean values of the hydrogen ion concentration (pH) in saliva (p < 0.001) were recorded in patients after radiotherapy, pH value = 4.580 (±1.051). The mean value of resting salivary flow (MRSF) was significantly lower for the group of patients with radiotherapy (MRSF) = 0.145 mL/min. In 89.29% of cases (25 post-radiotherapy cases), in order to perform oral complex rehabilitation treatment, several endodontic and periodontal treatments were performed. A total of 78.57% of the cases received complex oral rehabilitation as mobile or hybrid prostheses or fixed solutions. Conclusion: Understanding post-radiotherapy salivary biochemic modifications in patients with oral cancer could be of critical importance, in view of related oral disorder prevention.

Prosthodontic complications during implant-based oral rehabilitation of patients with head and neck cancer

Statement of problemImplant-retained prosthodontic rehabilitation of patients with head and neck cancer is complex. However, the extent of prosthodontic complications has been sparsely reported within the literature. PurposeThe purpose of this retrospective study was to describe the range of complications and issues that affected the oral rehabilitation treatment of patients with head and neck cancer who had completed implant-retained prosthodontic rehabilitation in a tertiary treatment center. Material and methodsA retrospective analysis of complications and their consequences in patients treated in a regional unit from 2012 to 2017 was performed. Descriptive analysis was carried out on the type and frequency of complications and their consequences for the patients’ treatment. Complications were grouped into the following complication types: local and systemic, implant, peri-implant soft tissue, and clinical prosthodontic complications. Implant success and implant survival were also reported. ResultsThe sample was composed of 163 patients with head and neck cancer who had completed implant-retained prosthodontic rehabilitation. Local and systemic complications affected 8.6% of patients, and peri-implant soft-tissue complications affected 9.8% of patients. Clinical prosthodontic complications leading to repeated clinical or laboratory stages occurred on 48 occasions in 45 patients (27.6% of patients). A total of 763 implants were placed. Implant survival was 95.8% and implant success 94.5%, with a mean follow-up of 42.1 months. ConclusionsThis retrospective evaluation indicated that complications arising during the process of implant-retained prosthetic rehabilitation in this patient group were variable and common. Such complications can delay the process of treatment and lead to repeating or restarting clinical and laboratory stages of treatment.

Importance of cone beam computed tomography in the diagnosis of root perforation: a case report

Endodontic perforations are defined as a iatrogenic mechanical communication between the root canal and supporting periodontal tissues. Dental imaging techniques are essential for satisfactory detection of these conditions. The purpose of this study was to describe the clinical case of a patient diagnosed with endo-periodontal cystic lesion by endodontic perforation by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). A 67-year-old female patient who required oral rehabilitation treatment with an implant-supported denture in the posterior mandible was seen at the Dental Clinic of the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN). Based on the data collected during clinical examination, complementary tests were requested for assessment of his overall dental condition. Periapical radiography revealed the presence of a lesion in the apex of tooth 22, which was associated with an endodontic lesion. CBCT showed a lateral lesion caused by root perforation suffered during prior endodontic treatment. After histopathological analysis, the diagnosis was a radicular cyst. This study highlights the importance of CBCT imaging for establishment of the correct diagnosis, treatment planning, and prevention of complications.

Displasia ectodérmica en odontopediatría

La displasia ectodérmica (DE) se caracteriza por ser una enfermedad hereditaria que consiste en alteraciones genéticas y ambientales, provocando hipodoncia, distrofia en uñas, cabello escaso y anomalías dentarias. El tratamiento de rehabilitación en pacientes pediátricos con DE es difícil debido al continuo crecimiento y desarrollo cráneo facial de estos niños. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo relatar un caso clínico de rehabilitación oral en paciente pediátrico diagnosticado con DE. Paciente de sexo femenino, con 5 años y 6 meses de edad que compareció a la clínica de odontopediatría en la UNIDERP. Al examen físico, extra oral, se constató que la paciente era respiradora bucal, y presentaba disminución del tercio inferior de la cara, labios protruidos y evertidos, frente prominente, nariz en “silla de montar”, escasez de cabello, pestañas y cejas, piel fina y seca. En el examen intraoral se observó ausencia de los siguientes dientes: 51/52, 61/62/63, 71/72, 81/82, y aspecto conoide de los dientes 53, 73 y 83. Al examen radiográfico se constató agenesia de 9 dientes primarios y de los gérmenes de los siguientes dientes permanentes: 11/12/13, 21/22/23, 41/42, 31/32, se observó la presencia de los gérmenes de los dientes 33 y 43. Con base en las características físicas y radiográficas se diagnosticó displasia ectodérmica hidrótica. Como conducta clínica, se optó por la instalación de mantenedores estéticos funcionales removibles, con el fin de favorecer la fonación, deglución, tonicidad muscular labial y lingual y el desenvolvimiento social.

Prosthetic Rehabilitation of a Patient with Symptoms of Iron Deficiency Anaemia in association with Fraser’s Syndrome – A Case Report

About a quarter of the population in the world is affected with Anaemia and deficiency of iron is one ofthe major causes. Associated symptoms are long term fatigue, cognitive function which shows impairment,and decreased well-being. “Fraser syndrome” can be described as rare, genetically inherited disorder. It ismanifested as Crytophthalmos, Syndactyly along with Enamel Hypoplasia because of which the patient isreferred to a dentist. The following report presents the report of a male patient who had symptoms of irondeficiency anaemia and also showed signs & symptoms of Fraser’s Syndrome. Proper knowledge regardingFraser’s syndrome and iron deficiency anaemia is imperative to plan an oral rehabilitation treatment protocolfor such patients.

Oral Health and Nutritional Characteristics of Adults With Morbid Obesity: A Multivariate Analysis.

The relationship between oral health and nutritional aspects are complex, especially in individuals with chronic diseases and comorbidities, such as morbid obesity. Thus, the aim of the present study was to identify oral health and nutritional-related patterns in 113 individuals, aged 19–68 years (92 females), seeking treatment for morbid obesity. Sociodemographic variables and medical records were examined, in addition to the consumption of fruit, vegetables, candies, and processed foods. Measures of body mass index, neck, waist and hip, caries experience (DMFT index), Community Periodontal Index (CPI index), and salivary physicochemical aspects were gathered. Aspects of oral health-related quality of life and symptoms of dry mouth were evaluated by means of Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14) and Xerostomia Inventory-XI questionnaires. K-means cluster analysis and, subsequently, comparisons between clusters (one-way ANOVA) were performed (α = 5%). Three clusters were generated: Cluster 1 (labeled “Young”; n = 77) was characterized by younger participants with higher BMI, who reported the use of distractors while eating, the smallest number of meals/day, and who consumed sweetened drinks and processed food the day before. Cluster 2 (labeled “Diabetic individuals”; n = 12) was characterized by older participants with the highest proportion of diabetic participants (100% were diabetic; 73% insulin users), lower BMI, higher DMFT index and OHIP-14 and xerostomia scores, and who reported having consumed fruit and vegetables the day before. Finally, Cluster 3 (labeled “Poor periodontal health”; n = 24) was characterized by participants with the worse periodontal condition (higher CPI), and lower salivary flow, pH, and buffer capacity. Cluster 1 and 2 were the groups that showed higher demand for nutritional and dietetic counseling, because of the poor eating behavior and higher serum glucose levels, respectively. On the other hand, Cluster 2 and 3 showed the higher demand for oral rehabilitation and dental treatment because of the loss of teeth and worse periodontal condition, respectively, besides the need for dietetic counseling. This sample of individuals with morbid obesity showed very unique oral-health and nutritional characteristics and special needs patterns that should be identified to adjust or change unhealthy habits, thus improving the assistance of this condition.

Effect of laterotrusive occlusal scheme on chewing duration, external intercostal muscular activity, heart rate, and oxygen saturation

ABSTRACTObjective: To evaluate the effect of the laterotrusive occlusal scheme on chewing duration, external intercostal (EIC) electromyographic (EMG) activity, heart rate (HR), and oxygen saturation (OS) during different tasks in the upright seated position.Methods: Fifty young participants, 25 with canine guidance and 25 with group function, were included. Chewing duration, bilateral EIC EMG activity, HR, and OS were recorded during the following tasks: 1) chewing until swallowing threshold; 2) laterotrusive teeth grinding.Results: Chewing duration, bilateral EIC EMG activity, HR, and OS showed no significant differences between the two laterotrusive occlusal schemes during the tasks studied.Conclusion: These results suggest that chewing duration, EIC muscle activity, HR, and OS were not significantly influenced by the laterotrusive occlusal scheme. Therefore, when a modification of the laterotrusive occlusal scheme is needed during oral rehabilitation or orthodontic treatment, canine guidance or group function should not significantly change EMG activity of EIC muscles.

All-On-Four Protocol With Immediate Load on Short Implants in an Atrophic Mandible: A Case Report with a 4-Year Follow-Up

Purpose: Edentulism has been demonstrated to have negative social and psychological effects on individuals that include adverse impacts on facial and oral esthetics, masticatory function and speech abilities, that when combined, are translated into significant reductions in patients’ quality of lives. It is well-known that immediate placement of implants is a challenging surgical procedure that requires proper treatment planning and surgical techniques. Therefore, the present study describes a 4-year follow-up case report where short implants were placed in an atrophic mandibule and were loaded with the utilization of an all-on-four prosthetic protocol. Case report: A 54 year-old woman dissatisfied with her oral and facial esthetics, masticatory function and speech ability came to the implantology clinic of the Positivo University seeking for oral rehabilitation treatment. After detailed physical and clinical examination, a Computer Tomography scan (CT-scan) was performed to determine the patient’s bone ridge density, dimensions and eligibility for the placement of dental implants. The CT-scan results have indicated the presence of an extremely atrophic mandibular bone ridge. The CT-scan was also used as an aid during the final restoration treatment planning in terms of vertical dimension of occlusion, masticatory function, and stabilization of the lower denture. An all-on-four protocol supported by short implants was then treatment-planned to reduce time, costs and morbidity, and also to achieve superior immediate esthetic results and masticatory function. To reconstruct the patient’s atrophic edentulous mandibule, 4 short implants, including 2 distally tilted, were placed with a final torque of 45 Ncm. Results: Following the development and implementation of a complex treatment plan, the patient displayed stable soft and hard tissues at 4-year postoperative follow-up assessment, demonstrating the effectiveness of the all-on-four technique supported by short implants. Conclusion: Within the limits of this study, the present case report demonstrated that the all-on-four prosthetic protocol with immediate loading on short implant was effective in an atrophic mandible over a 4-year follow-up.

Use of Occlusal Splints in Patients with Deep Bite and Bruxism

The occlusal splints are most commonly used devices for the treatment of temporomandibular disorders and bruxism. A case report of a male patient with deep bite and bruxism, indicating two flat occlusal splints presents full coverage made up of rigid acrylic and permanent use for five months is described. Using both intraoral devices allowed restoring lost vertical dimension and protect teeth attrition, deprogram the musculature and establish a new mandibular positioning prior to treatment of oral rehabilitation.

Impact of orthodontic treatment on self-esteem and quality of life of adult patients requiring oral rehabilitation.

To evaluate whether orthodontic treatment in adults requiring oral rehabilitation is effective for increasing patients' self-esteem and quality of life (QoL). The sample consisted of 102 adult patients (77 women and 25 men) aged between 18 and 66 years (mean, 35.1 years) requiring oral rehabilitation and orthodontic treatment simultaneously. Rosenberg's Self-Esteem (RSE) Scale and a questionnaire about QoL based on the Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14) were used to determine self-esteem and QoL scores retrospectively. Questionnaires were carried out in two stages, T1 (start of treatment) and T2 (6 months after). To compare score changes between T1 and T2, the data obtained from the RSE Scale were evaluated with paired t tests, and data from the quality-of-life questionnaire were assessed by applying descriptive statistics. The results showed a statistically significant increase in self-esteem (P < .001) and a great improvement on patients' QoL. Orthodontic treatment causes a significant increase in self-esteem and QoL, providing psychological benefits for adult patients in need of oral rehabilitation.

Oral health-related quality of life following dental treatment under general anaesthesia for early childhood caries - a UK-based study.

To assess parental reports of changes in oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) of young children in the UK with early childhood caries (ECC) following dental treatment under general anaesthesia (DGA). To compare the impact of oral rehabilitation (OR) and extraction-only (Exo) treatment approaches on this. Data were collected using the proxy reported components of the Child Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (COHRQoL® ) questionnaire: the Parent-Caregivers Perceptions questionnaire (P-CPQ) and Family Impact Scale (FIS), from a convenience sample of parents of children receiving DGA at a UK Paediatric Dental Department. Mean scores and prevalence impacts were compared pre- and postoperatively with mean change score and effect sizes calculations. Seventy-eight parents were recruited (51 children undergoing OR, 27 Exo) with 6 lost to follow-up (92.3%). Following treatment, changes in mean P-CPQ and FIS scores were statistically significant (P<0.0001) with medium to large effect sizes (0.45-1.39). The differences in change scores between the two treatment approaches were not statistically different. DGA for young children with early childhood caries resulted in substantial improvements in parent's ratings of their child's OHRQoL and of the impact on their families. Larger cohort studies are needed to validate these preliminary findings.

CALIDAD DE VIDA EN PACIENTES SOMETIDOS A TRATAMIENTOS DE REHABILITACIÓN ORAL EN LA UNIVERSIDAD SANTO TOMÁS EN BUCARAMANGA

Objetivo: determinar la relacion entre los tratamientos de rehabilitacion oral y la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud oral de las personas que los han recibido.Materiales y metodos: se realizo un estudio analitico de corte transversal en el que se aplico la version corta de un cuestionario de Calidad de Vida Relacionado con la Salud Oral (CVRSO) denominado OHIP-sp a 262 personas que habian recibido tratamiento de rehabilitacion oral en las Clinicas Odontologicas de la Universidad Santo Tomas en pre y posgrado, en Bucaramanga. Se obtuvieron frecuencias y proporciones para las variables cualitativas, medidas de tendencia central y dispersion para las cuantitativas. La relacion entre la CVRSO y las demas variables de interes se establecio mediante el test de Rangos de Wilcoxon, el test de ANOVA y la prueba t de Student.Resultados: el promedio de edad de la poblacion evaluada fue de 48,7 ± 13,0 anos. No se presento una diferencia estadisticamente significativa entre el tipo de tratamiento de rehabilitacion oral recibido y cada una de las siete dimensiones del OHIP-sp evaluadas. Sin embargo, si se encontro una diferencia estadisticamente significativa entre la dimension limitacion funcional y la edad (p=0,0218) y el genero (p=0,048) asi como entre la edad al compararla con el dolor fisico (p=0,0126) y incapacidad social (p=0,0204).Conclusiones: los pacientes con los promedios mas bajos de limitacion funcional fueron los que presentaban protesis fija. Los pacientes que recibieron tratamientos de protesis sobre implantes obtuvieron los mayores promedios de inconformidad e incapacidad psicologica.[Cruz Y, Rodriguez MJ, Penso MK, Candela AJ, Gamboa EM . A Multidisciplinary Approach to the Oral Rehabilitation with Dental Implants: A Clinical Report

The oral rehabilitation treatment aims to return esthetics, function, comfort, phonetics and health to the patient. Oral treatment requires careful planning, according to the biological and mechanical principles that rule contemporary odontology. Complex clinical cases of oral rehabilitation require interdisciplinary treatment with the need for orthodontic treatment, endodontics, implants and prosthetics. This work describes a multidisciplinary clinical case of oral rehabilitation involving orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, surgery, implant insertion and aesthetic restorative dentistry, with an im-plant-supported prosthesis approach.
