The article examines the impact of smart cities on the development of the digital economy and the creation of innovative ecosystems. The main task of the work is to analyze the technologies of smart cities – the Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence – and their impact on improving urban ecosystems, improving the standard of living of citizens and optimizing resource management. The methods used include a review of the literature and an analysis of practical examples of the introduction of digital technologies in urban management. An important aspect of the research is the study of financial models such as peer-to-peer financing and public-private partnerships. The main findings confirm that smart cities stimulate innovation processes and create conditions for the integration of technologies into urban systems. The peculiarity of the study lies in an integrated approach that covers the technological, social and economic aspects of the digital transformation of cities.
