Work Flexibility and Income as Determinants of Performance of Online Motorcycle Taxi Drivers in Medan City

This study aims to analyse the effect of work flexibility and income on the performance of online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that work flexibility has a significant influence on employee performance, with a t-count value of 2.789 greater than the t-table of 1.984 and a significance value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. Income or salary also shows a positive and significant influence on driver performance, with a t-count value of 3.768 greater than the t-table 1.984 and a significance value of 0.012 which is smaller than 0.05. In addition, simultaneous hypothesis testing shows that work flexibility and income together have a significant effect on employee performance, with an F-count value of 3.675 which is greater than the F-table of 3.090 and a significance value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. These results indicate that work flexibility and income have a significant influence on improving the performance of online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City.

Driving Behavior of Online Ojek X towards Safety Driving in Anggana Sub-district

Abstract Traffic accidents in East Kalimantan, particularly in Anggana District, pose a serious issue. As of October 2023, there have been over 20 cases of minor to moderate accidents involving online motorcycle taxi drivers, often due to the negligence of other road users. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study design, involving 9 informants. Results indicate that the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by Ojek Online X is rated positively by passengers. Drivers who are healthy and well-rested are motivated by attractive earnings and flexible schedules. Ojek Online X prioritizes quality service through vehicle maintenance to reduce accident risks. A safe working environment is crucial for maintaining a positive public image. In conclusion, good PPE usage, adequate rest, and financial motivation contribute to safety and work quality. These findings can serve as a reference for other online motorcycle taxi drivers in implementing Safety Riding principles.

The Influence of The Socialization of "Ojek Sigap: Ojek Siap Gerak Cepat (Quick Response Motorcycle Taxi: Ready To Move Fast) on Knowledge of First Aid For Accidents of Online Ojek Drivers in Jambi City

Road traffic accidents are the leading cause of death worldwide, with the current global death toll reaching 1.24 million per year. This figure is expected to increase to 3.6 million per year by 2030. Indonesia ranks third highest in Asia, after China and India, with 38,279 deaths due to road traffic accidents in 2015. Jambi City, despite having a lower accident rate than other provinces, still faces significant challenges with 392 deaths in 2018. Lack of knowledge about first aid (P3K) is one of the factors contributing to the high death toll. Given the widespread use of online motorcycle taxis on the road, their drivers have the potential to become witnesses or victims of accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to improve knowledge and skills in first aid among online motorcycle taxi drivers to improve road safety. The study used the Pre - Experimental research method with a Prepost Test Design design with 28 respondents. The provision of material using educational videos and mnemonic cards related to initial handling of accidents. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed very significant results with a value of P = 0.0000 and Z = -4.658. A very low P value (less than 0.05) indicates that there is a statistically significant difference between the level of knowledge of respondents before and after the socialization. This negative Z value indicates that there is a significant increase in the knowledge of respondents after they have participated in the socialization program. The results of the study indicate that there is an Influence of the Socialization of "OJEK SIGAP” on Knowledge of First Aid for Accidents for Online Ojek Drivers in Jambi City.

Kajian Yuridis Kedudukan Pengemudi Ojek Online dalam Sistem Hukum Ketenagakerjaan di Indonesia

The presence of online motorcycle taxis has had a significant impact in reducing unemployment in Indonesia. More than 4 (four) million people in Indonesia work as online motorcycle taxi drivers. This research uses a normative juridical approach and uses qualitative analysis techniques which are then explained and analyzed using descriptive analytical methods. This research aims to analyze the legal position of online motorcycle taxi drivers with online motorcycle taxi application service providers. The research results show that the legal position between online motorcycle taxi drivers and online motorcycle taxi application service providers is not part of the Employment Law system in Indonesia and is not subject to Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Employment jo. Law number 6 of 2023 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into Law. The author suggests that the Government make special regulations that regulate the legal position of Online Motorbike Taxi Drivers in the Employment Law System in Indonesia.

Low Back Pain Complaints of Online Ojek Drivers in Indramayu Regency in 2021

Jobs as online motorcycle taxis attract a lot of public interest, but there are potential health problems for online motorcycle taxi drivers, one of the health problems is low back pain (lower back pain). This study was conducted to find complaints of low back pain in online motorcycle taxi drivers at the Indramayu Regency in 2021. This study used a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was 460 respondents. Samples were taken using purposive sampling of as many as 82 respondents. Measurement of Low back pain (lower back pain) using the Nordic body map. Data analysis was done by univariate, bivariate with chi-square test. The results of this study indicate that there are 56 respondents (68.3%) experiencing low back pain of moderate level. The results of the chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between years of service (p-value 0.00) and complaints of low back pain in online motorcycle taxi drivers in Indramayu Regency in 2021. In addition, the variables BMI (p-value 0.416), age (p-value 0.288), and smoking status (p-value 0.015) had no relationship with complaints of low back pain.

The establishment of the Women's Empowerment Learning Center Program (PUTARAN) certainly requires a driver or main actor and supporting actors who are the implementers. With the involvement of the main actors and supporting actors, it will cause interaction in realizing the Women's Empowerment Learning Center (PUTARAN) program. This research was compiled with the aim of knowing the role of the main actors in making policies for the Women's Empowerment Learning Center (PUTARAN) program and knowing the interaction between the main actors and supporting actors in realizing it, in order to achieve the fulfillment of the rights of women online motorcycle taxi drivers and people with disabilities in Surabaya City. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through interview techniques. This research uses Actor Network Theory according to Callon (1986) which has four groupings, such as problematization, interessement, enrollment, and mobilization. It shows that both in terms of roles and relationships between the main actors and supporting actors interact well, this can be seen from the success of the Women's Empowerment Learning Center Program (PUTARAN) which has been realized in accordance with its duties and functions.

This research aims to analyze the influence of Brand Image and Product Quality on the purchasing decisions of Honda Matic motorcycles among Online motorcycle taxi Drivers in Surabaya. The research employs a quantitative approach. The sample consists of 350 Online motorcycle taxi Drivers who use Honda Matic motorcycles in the city of Surabaya. Data collection is done through a questionnaire, which is validated and tested for reliability using SPSS 26. The data analysis techniques include classical assumption tests, linear regression, t-tests, f-tests and the coefficient of determination (R-Square). The results of this study indicate that both Brand Image and Product Quality partially influence the purchasing decisions of Honda Matic motorcycles. Simultaneously, these two variables significantly impact the purchasing decisions of Honda Matic motorcycles.

Determinan of Safety Riding on Gojek Rider Community at the Jember Regency

Introduction: Safety riding is a behavior to minimize the level of danger as well as safety and security in riding that accordance with laws and regulations system in our country. Safety riding is very important, especially for online motorcycle taxi drivers who have a high risk of having a traffic accident at work. Gojek is one of the largest online transportation companies in Indonesia. Method: This research was conducted on Gojek driver partners in three sub-districts of the Jember urban areas Sumbersari, Patrang and Kaliwates. A study that aims to analyze factors related to safety riding on the Gojek Rider community in the urban area of Jember Regency. This study is a quantitative study using an observational analytical research type with a cross-sectional research design with a sample of 75 drivers. Data collection used interview instrument adopted from previous research, observations and documentations. Analysis of the correlation data used the Chi-Square test. Result: This research the majority of Gojek drivers had 2 years of service (72%), good riding knowledge (68%), mobile phone usages usage on the road without pulling over (74,7%), moderate work fatigue (64%), roadworthy vehicles (82.7%) and unsafe riding (61.3%). Conclusion: There is no correlation between length of service and safety riding. There is a correlation between driving knowledge, work fatigue, cell phone use and vehicle factors.

The Gig Economy Dilemma: Exploring Alternatives to Create Decent Work for Online Motorcycle Taxi Drivers in Indonesia

GIG economy, or better known as the platform economy because of its use of technology, has become a world economic phenomenon that has developed rapidly in the last decade, including in Indonesia. It cannot be denied that the GIG economy has had a positive impact on increasing employment opportunities or at least suppressing the spike in unemployment amidst the current crisis. However, this economic model raises a new problem related to workers' protection issues. This research aims to present various alternatives that can be used to create decent work for ojol drivers in Indonesia. A literature review was conducted to capture existing solutions and then adapt them to the current Indonesian context. The results of the research suggest: 1) Ministry of Manpower initiates a testing process for the terminology "partner" or "worker" for ojol drivers so that their work relationship status becomes clear and the results of this test can become the basis for formulating further regulations, 2) Ministry of Manpower can expand the definition of three elements contained in an employment relationship are work, wages and orders, 3) utilizing the existence of a community or "paguyuban" of ojol drivers as a representative voice of ojol drivers and several other alternatives which can be found in this article.

Sentiment Analysis of the Indriver Online Ojek Application using the Naïve Bayes Classifier Method

According to statista.com, there are 73.1 million online motorcycle taxi users in Indonesia and there are 68.1 million active online motorcycle taxi users in Indonesia especially in the province of North Sumatra, there are 43,811 online motorcycle taxi drivers. The Indriver online motorcycle taxi application is an international online transportation service that gives passengers and drivers the freedom to negotiate prices. Sentiment analysis analizes text to determine positive, negative, or neutral sentiments. The method commonly used in sentiment analysis is the Naive Bayes Classifier method. This research uses quantitative methods to analyze sentiment toward the InDriver online motorcycle taxi application by utilizing the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm. User review data is collected from reviews on the Google Play Store, then cleaned and converted into a format suitable for statistical analysis. To analyze sentiment towards the InDriver online motorcycle taxi application using the Naïve Bayes Classifier method, collecting review data and user comments using the Python library and the Visual Studio code application, carrying out preprocessing, TF-IDF weighting, dividing the data into 70% and 30%, after that conducting testing using naïve Bayes classifier algorithm, as well as carrying out evaluation using a confusion matrix. The results of calculating the level of accuracy using the Naïve Bayes method for sentiment classification can be said to be good, this can be seen from the accuracy results on a dataset of 1393 with a comparison of training data and test data of 7:3, obtaining an accuracy value of 76%, precision of 71% , recall of 81% and f1-score of 76%. ACTIVE STRETCHING HAS AN EFFECT ON FUNCTIONAL ABILITY IN ONLINE MOTORCYCLE TAXI DRIVERS EXPERIENCING CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a common medical condition that occurs when the median nerve is pinched or compressed as it passes through the wrist due to continuous long-term movement. The research aims to determine the effect of Active Stretching on the functional ability of the hands in online motorcycle taxi drivers who experience Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The type of research is quasi-experimental with sample collection techniques using the purposive sampling method. The research was carried out in May-June 2023, with a population of 35 people and a sample size of 10 people who were given intervention 9 times. Measurements in this study used the Wrist/Hand Disability Index (WHDI). The results of research on Active Stretching showed that the average functional ability of the hand before the intervention was 58 and after the intervention was given it was 43,2. The p value = 0.0005 means there is an increase in functional ability. The results of the research can be concluded that there is an influence of Active Stretching exercises on increasing the functional abilities of the hands in online motorcycle taxi drivers who experience Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

BASIC LIVING AID TRAINING IMPROVES KNOWLEDGE AND READINESS TO HELP ONLINE OJEK DRIVERS IN COSTAL AREAS

Cardiac arrests have occurred very frequently in recent times, but not all members of the public can recognize the signs and symptoms and how to treat them. A heart attack is an emergency condition and requires quick and immediate action to prevent death. Proper education in early recognition of symptoms and how to treat them is very important because the time needed to take a patient to the hospital is often a problem. The aim of community service is to provide education and training to the online motorcycle taxi driver community in providing basic life support. This research design uses analytical observational with a cross sectional approach. The accidental sampling technique obtained 100 online motorcycle taxi drivers in the city of Surabaya. Evaluation measuring tool with questionnaires. Training is given for 2 days with blended learning. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho Test with significance (ρ ≤ 0.05). The components measured are knowledge and readiness to help From the results, it was found that 56% of online motorcycle taxi drivers had good knowledge, and 44% of drivers had sufficient knowledge. For readiness to help, it was found that 76% of drivers showed very good readiness to help, and 24% of drivers showed sufficient readiness. The results of the Spearman Rho statistical test show a p-value of 0.001 (ρ < 0.05), thus there is significance between the provision of training and the level of knowledge of basic life support and readiness to help among online motorcycle taxi drivers in costal areas of Surabaya. The community plays an important role in helping victims before they are treated by health workers. One part of society that often witnesses incidents on the road is online motorcycle taxi drivers. With good knowledge and readiness to help, it is hoped that community resilience will be formed that is responsive to everyday emergency conditions.

In the era of globalization, the number of private vehicles is increasingly two-wheeled. The results of the study concluded that Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation are regulations that regulate motorists when driving on the highway, through consumer protection efforts and driver legal responsibility designed to reduce the number of traffic violations by conducting frequent socialization and routine patrols every day in the field. The driver is liable based on the category of misdemeanor, moderate or severe against applicable law. Consumer protection is given to victims so that they do not experience trauma and are healthy again.

This study aims to examine the effect of work stress, incentive programs and work motivation of online motorcycle taxi drivers for study on Shopee Food drivers who are domiciled in DKI Jakarta. The independent variables in this study are work stress, incentive programs and work motivation. The dependent variable in this study is the performance of Shopee Food drivers. This study uses the PLS or Partial Least Square method with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The data collection technique uses the Googleform application questionnaire to collect respondent information. The sample in this study are all members of the Shopee Food driver population who live in DKI Jakarta with a total sample of 102 respondents. The results of the analysis show that work stress has no negative effect on the performance of Shopee Food drivers. The Incentive Program has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Shopee Food drivers. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Shopee Food drivers.

Measurement of Physical and Mental Workload in Onlline Ojek Drivers: A Case Study in Serang City

The development of online motorcycle taxi transportation has received a good response in the community. With this application, it makes it easier for people to order motorcycle taxis more practically. Many online motorcycle taxi drivers have complaints while working, one of which is the obligation to meet life's necessities which causes the physical and mental workload to increase. This study aims to measure the physical and mental workload of online motorcycle taxi drivers in Serang City. Data collection was carried out by measuring heart rate with a Polar H10 and filling out the NASA-TLX questionnaire which was distributed to online motorcycle taxi drivers who were willing to be respondents. Data processing starts from measuring heart rate, with an average %CVL value obtained of 40.08%. This value is included in the physical workload category that requires improvement. Mental workload data, calculated through the NASA-TLX method, averaged 74.20, which is classified as high. To alleviate these workloads, it's suggested to incorporate 90-minute break periods, redesign automatic motorcycles with extra footrests, use energy sprays, implement road congestion detection tools, enhance the quality of ride-hailing apps, and minimize exposure to heat stress.

Are the People of West Java Ready to Face the Covid-19 Pandemic? Study of Psychological Capital and Learning Agility

Designing policies to prepare a resilient society to face sudden downturns is very important for the government, for example, when society faces the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In this case, the principal capitals that the community must rely on are their psychological readiness and also their ability to learn quickly in difficult situations. These principle capitals are then called psychological capital and learning agility. West Java is one of the provinces that contributes to the country's economy strategically; in this case, it is necessary to always pay attention to the readiness of its people, especially in certain professions that have been directly affected by the difficult situation during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted on 215 participants who were laborers, online motorcycle-taxi drivers, microbusiness owners, and teachers using an incidental sampling method. The results show that people in West Java with these four professions have psychological capital that makes them psychologically ready to face challenges in difficult situations (Covid-19 pandemic) and have the willingness to learn and master new competencies quickly. These traits support them in overcoming the challenges that suddenly came during the Covid-19 pandemic.
