Bibliometric analysis of scientific publications on the websites of agricultural institutions of higher and additional education of the Russian Federation

The study of scientific activities of educational institutions of the agro-industrial complex is based on information from their websites and on scientometric indicators. Research work is reflected on all the studied websites and contains data on the topics of scientific research, the work of dissertation councils and data on patents and inventions. The electronic information environment is widely used, digital libraries are being developed, and links to digital library systems are provided. All higher educational institutions have scientific periodicals; the results of scientific research are presented in electronic form. Insufficient completeness of document archives, the spread of materials across the categories of the website, and limited availability of full-text databases are noted. An analysis of the publication activity of organizations was conducted on the basis of the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). According to the number of authors with publications in the RSCI, Russian Timiryazev State Agrarian University, Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilin and Vyatka State Agrotechnological University are distinguished with 3219, 300 and 1520 authors, respectively. Publications of employees of the Kuban State Agrarian University, Russian Timiryazev State Agrarian University, Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin and Ryazan State Agrotechnological University named after P.A. Kostychev have a high citation rate in RSCI. When analysing the dynamics of the number of publications of educational institutions from 2019 to 2023, according to RSCI data, a general trend of increasing the number of scientific publications in agrarian universities was revealed.

The prospects for the introduction of a mesoamerican species chia Salvia hispanica L. in the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia

Relevance. This article presents the results of breeding work and the introduction of the Mesoamerican culture Spanish sage or chia (Salvia hispanica L.), which is currently one of the most popular pseudo-grain crops from the family of Lamiaceae in Western countries due to its unique seeds rich in nutrients, PUFA, dietary fiber and antioxidants. In 2009, the European Union considered the seeds of the plant to be a promising type of food. There are only 17 registered genotypes of culture in the world, in the collection of GRR VIR there are two forms obtained from European countries. There are no registered varieties of Spanish sage in the state register of breeding achievements approved for use in the territory of the Russian Federation. The research of this culture is limited only by the biological side: the study of morphobiological features, its use for decorative purposes.Material and methodology. The research was conducted in the educational and experimental farm of the Omsk State Agrarian University in 2019-2023. The objects of research were several samples of various ecological and geographical origin and 2 new forms of Spanish sage obtained during local selection. All records and observations were carried out according to the following methods: field experience in vegetable growing (S.S. Litvinov, 2011), State variety testing of agricultural crops (1989), assessment of primary introduction by G.P. Semenova (2001) and variety assessment of floral ornamental plants by V.N. Bylov (1971).Results. As a result of continuous year-round introduction work, the breeders of the Omsk State Agricultural University managed to overcome the photoperiodic sensitivity of the plant and obtain adaptive forms 0/18 and 3/18. An assessment of the decorative value, the success of the introduction and the possibility of introducing new samples into production in the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia is given. The first of the locally obtained forms, as more productive, was transferred to the state variety testing in 2023 under the assumed name of the variety "Siberian Emerald". Breeding work in this direction continues.

Сравнительная оценка кормовой продуктивности чины посевной в различных эколого-географических условиях

Abstract. The article presents the results of studying the yield and quality of green mass of four varieties of domestic sowing varieties: Racheyka, Zhemchuzhina, Mramornaya and Elena. The purpose of the study is to assess the phenotypic variability of chinese varieties in terms of the duration of the growing season, yield and quality of green mass, to select genotypes that are resistant to limiting environmental factors and capable of forming consistently high feed productivity in different agroclimatic conditions. Methods. Laboratory and field research was carried out in 2022–2023 on the educational and experimental field of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Omsk State Agrarian University” (Omsk) and on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Russian Research and Design Technological Institute of Sorghum and Corn (Saratov). The conditions of the growing season are close to arid ones, HTC = 0.64…1.02. In the Omsk experimental plot, the soil is meadow-chernozem medium-thick (45 cm), low-humus (3.95 % humus), semi-loam (35 % physical clay), in Saratov – southern chernozem low-humus (3.80 % humus), medium-thick (42 cm), clayed loam (43 % physical clay). The predecessor is grain crops. When conducting research, we followed the same methodology – sowing in the first ten days of May, seeding rate – 700 thousand pieces grains per hectare, plot area – 5 m2, seed placement depth – 5 cm. Results. Growing conditions have a significant impact on the variability of the duration of the growing season – 65.8 % and the level of green mass yield – 54.2 %. The variation in the parameters of the biochemical composition is largely due to the genotype of the variety – 62.1 %. Evaluation of varieties according to adaptability indicators made it possible to distribute them into groups: 1 – extensive form with very low phenotypic stability (Mramornaya); 2 – form with high phenotypic stability (Zhemchuzhina); 3 – intensive form with reduced phenotypic stability (Elena); 4 – intensive phenotypically highly stable form (Racheyka). Scientific novelty. Varieties with high phenotypic stability of feed productivity, weakly responsive to fluctuations in climatic conditions and showing low rates of yield decline under unfavorable weather factors in various regions of the country were selected.

Changes in the biological and nutritional value of pea and bean grains as a result of their bioactivation

The relevance of the study is due to the need to improve the technology for processing peas and beans of domestic selection into plant-based drinks and their use in technologies for alternative products of complex raw materials for healthy, functional and specialized nutrition of various population groups. The purpose of the work is to study the influence of the developed technological modes of bioactivation on the nutritional and biological value, functional and technological properties of the protein-carbohydrate complex of pea and bean grains. The work examines the results of studies of changes occurring in pea grains bred at the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture and beans bred at the Omsk State Agrarian University during their bioactivation using the Smart Sprouter "Rosinka" installation, in particular the biochemical composition and inhibitory activity of grain of the studied varieties, a protein complex and amino acid composition, protein digestibility in vitro, functional and technological properties of the protein-carbohydrate complex of grain. The research has been carried out using generally accepted, modern instrumental methods for analyzing the properties of raw materials and finished products. It has been established that the use of the developed technological parameters of bioactivation leads to modification of the functional and technological properties of the structure-forming nutrients of grain, intensive accumulation of all amino acids, with the exception of threonine, make it possible to increase the protein content in pea grain by 15.32 % and beans by 14.96 %, relative to the initial values increase the degree of compliance of pea and bean grain protein with the FAO/WHO reference protein by 4.48 and 17.53 %, reduce the activity of grain protease inhibitors by 19.76 and 26.12 %, increase the digestibility of grain protein by 7.77 and 5.85 %. The research results prove the feasibility of using bioactivated pea and bean grains for the production of alternative products with a complex raw material composition, including plant-based drinks and products in the "dairy alternatives" segment.

On the Importance of Extracurricular Physical Education Activities in the Physical Education of Students of Higher Education Institutions

The article presents material on the organization of extracurricular activities in physical education at a higher educational institution. The relevance of this topic is due to structural and substantive changes in undergraduate educational programs and work programs in physical education, which have led to an increasing role of extracurricular activities in the formation of student's physical culture competence. This circumstance requires consideration of issues of planning, organization and methodological support of this type of pedagogical activity. The purpose of the study is to identify the organizational and educational aspects of student sports and wellness activities conducted in their free time from study at the university. As an example of the organization of extracurricular work carried out by teachers of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, a number of physical culture and recreation and sports events held at the Omsk State Agrarian University named after P. A. Stolypin are proposed. The analysis and generalization of pedagogical experience in the higher education system, data from literary sources on the problems of physical education of students allowed us to make practical recommendations on the basics of planning, goal-setting and organizational features of extracurricular activities in physical culture. The possibility of increasing the effectiveness of this activity is emphasized due to the uniform distribution of activities throughout the academic year, attracting students with different levels of physical, sports and technical readiness and motivation in the field of physical culture and sports to participate. In addition to the calendar plan, the organizers for each event must define a goal, develop a program, create a festive atmosphere, ensure the safety of spectators and participants, and create conditions for informational coverage of the planned event.

ОСОБЕННОСТИ СТРОЕНИЯ СЕМЯПРОВОДОВ У КРОЛИКОВ

The aim of the study is to investigate the anatomical and histological structure of the ductus deferens in representatives of the order Lagomorpha. The results of the micromorphology of the vas deferens in representatives of the order Lagomorpha are presented. Histological preparations were prepared and exami¬ned at the Omsk State Agrarian University (Department of Anatomy, Histology, Physiology and Pathological Anatomy). The objects of the study were material obtained from five sexually mature male Californian rabbits. For histological examination, pieces of organs were selected using the generally accepted method. Sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin, as well as the Van Gieson method. Morphological, histological, morphometric and statistical methods were used in the study. The ductus deferens in rabbits is a paired tubular organ. The thickness of the mucous membrane of the left ductus deferens varies within 85.77 ± 3.13 μm, of the right ductus deferens was 136.14 ± 3.20 μm. The thickness of the muscular membrane of the left ductus deferens was 287.16 ± 3.48 μm, of the right ductus deferens was 333.79 ± 4.07 μm. The thickness of the adventitia of the left ductus deferens was 246.08 ± 4.75 μm, of the right ductus deferens was 258.56 ± 3.84 μm. During the study, special attention was paid to the adaptation of the muscular layer, which demonstrates a high degree of development and the ability to powerful peristaltic contractions, ensuring the movement of sex cells to the urethra. We can also assume the formation of sphincter systems of the ductus deferens in the indicated anatomical areas.

Screening of vegetable pea breeding material on rust resistance at Omsk State Agrarian University

Evaluation of the genotypes of the Kazakh-Siberian nursery (KASIB) in the conditions of the Novosibirsk region

The paper presents the results of evaluation of the KASIB-22 nursery soft wheat samples resistance to the main wheat pathogens. The research material was 44 wheat samples obtained from different regions of Russia and Kazakhstan within the framework of the KASIB shuttle breeding program (A.I. Barayev Research and Production Centre for Grain Farming, Omsk State Agrarian University, ICiG SB RAS, Karabalyk AES, Karaganda AES, North-Kazakhstan AES, FSBSI "Omsk ASC", HE SAU of the Northern Trans-Urals, Aktyubinsk AES, Kurgan Research Institute of Agriculture, Pavlodar AES, agrokomplex "Kurgansemena", Samara Research Institute of Agriculture, Chelyabinsk Research Institute of Agriculture). The following breeding lines were identified as highly productive and possessing high and medium resistance to brown rust, powdery mildew and loose smut: Line Pt-311 (Kurgan Research Institute of Agriculture), Lutescens 1462, Lutescens 1486, Line1616ae14 (Samara Research Institute of Agriculture), Lutescens 1356 (ICiG SB RAS). The yield of the selected samples averaged 42.1–51.2 c/ha. Genotypes Novosibirskaya 41, Line 435/12 and Lutescens 1364 are of interest for selection for quality. The gluten content of the nursery genotypes ranged from 24.1 (Line 23/07 in 2022) to 38.0% (variety Astana 2 in 2021), protein ranged from 13.4 (variety Tertia in 2022) to 19.5% (Lutescens 1364 in 2022). Each of the selected lines is of practical value for breeding, and the samples from the KASIB-22 nursery allow to expand the genetic diversity of spring soft wheat by selecting the most resistant forms to local populations of powdery mildew, leaf rust and loose smut pathogens.

Assessment of generic competences for foreign-language professional communication through applying the ADDIE model

Introduction. The paper aims to assess generic competencies for foreign-language professional communication formed through applying the ADDIE model. The goal of the study was to identify the way generic competencies are developed throughout the ESL course for veterinary students based on the authors’ implementation of the ADDIE model. Materials and Methods. The research was based on theoretical review of literature, comparative analysis of sources, terminological analysis, and investigation of teaching practices. The ADDIE method of instructional modeling was used as a fundamental research approach taken to designing a teaching aid and developing a training course, respectively. While testing, a sample of 59 first-year veterinary students and 5 lecturers of the Foreign Language Department at Omsk State Agrarian University were involved. In order to collect and study the research data, the authors applied the following evaluation methods: observation, survey and testing of students. The academic outcomes were evaluated by examining dynamics of foreign language communicative competence by expert teachers. The Wilcoxon T-test and Fisher test were used as mathematical statistics methods. Results. The authors applied the ADDIE instructional model to design a professional communication course in English for veterinary students based on competency-based approach. The materials were delivered during the 2022-23 academic year. The learning outcomes demonstrated by participants in the control and experimental groups proved the effectiveness of the author's teaching procedure in the formation of generic competencies for foreign language professional communication, the validity of which was confirmed using mathematical statistics methods. Conclusions. The proposed technology for designing a foreign language course based on the ADDIE model has demonstrated its effectiveness in the development of generic competencies for foreign-language professional communication, which was confirmed by more pronounced positive dynamics in the experimental group.

ПРИМЕНЕНИЕ СИНТЕТИЧЕСКОГО ИМПЛАНТАТА НА ОСНОВЕ ГИДРОКСИАПАТИТА И ВОЛЛАСТОНИТА ДЛЯ СТИМУЛЯЦИИ ПРОЦЕССОВ РЕГЕНЕРАЦИИ КОСТНОЙ ТКАНИ

The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficiency of using bone substitute material grounded on hydro-xyapatite and wollastonite based on changing clinical status indicators, radiographic examination and hematological parameters. A preclinical study was conducted at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin. The object of the study was laboratory rabbits (n = 10) of the white New Zealand breed, HYCOLE genetics, aged (13 ± 1.2) months, weighing (4.78 ± 0.37) kg with a formed model of cortical bone defect of the femur in the distal metaphysis area. To evaluate the efficiency, the animals were divi-ded into 2 groups. Animals for the study were selected using the analog method. In animals from group I, the defect cavity was closed with SiHA granules. Group II remained intact without replenishment of the cortical defect. The dynamics of reparative processes were monitored using clinical, biochemical and ra-diological studies. At all stages of observation, animals of group I were distinguished by relatively fast hea-ling times and restoration of physiological indicators and support on the operated limb. X-ray examination showed tight contact of bone tissue with the SiHA and formation of bone intermedial callus in the defect area. According to the hematological study, an increase in the indicators of biochemical markers of osteogenesis in animals with replenishment of the bone defect of the SiHA was monitored, which indicates active regeneration processes. The data obtained give reason to assume the effectiveness of using the SiHA to stimulate reparative regeneration in animals with bone pathologies.

Фенотипическая изменчивость селекционных линий чечевицы (Lens culinaris L.) по элементам семенной продуктивности в экологических условиях Омской области

Abstract. The article presents the results of studying the main elements of seed productivity (number and weight of seeds per plant, weight of 1000 seeds) in 15 breeding lines of F6-7 generations of lentils obtained from interspecific crossings of varieties Aida (Russia), Vekhovskaya (Russia), Vostochnaya (Russia) and Shyrayly (Kazakhstan). The purpose of the study is to study the phenotypic variability of lentil breeding lines according to the elements of the crop structure and select valuable genotypes as sources of productivity to create varieties adapted to the conditions of the region. Methods. Phenotyping of the breeding material was carried out in the field and laboratory conditions in 2020–2022 at the training and experimental field of the Omsk State Agrarian University. During the study period, very dry climatic conditions developed in 2020 (HTC = 0.62) and 2021 (HTC = 0.68), slightly dry – in 2022 (HTC=1.02). The soil of the experimental plot is meadow-chernozem, medium-thick (45 cm), low-humus (3.95 % of humus), medium loamy (35 % of physical clay) with a soil solution reaction close to neutral (pH = 6.5). The predecessor is spring soft wheat. Results. As a result, it was found that out of 15 lines, only 11 show stable seed productivity in all weather conditions and belong to the intensive type of cultivation, and 4 are characterized as unstable and semi-intensive type. The variability of the number of seeds per plant is significantly affected by the genotypic features of the breeding line (42.8 %). The phenotypic variability of the weight of seeds per plant is due to the conditions of growth of the agricultural crop (40.3 %), and the weight of 1000 seeds is due to the interaction of two factors simultaneously (57.0 %). By the method of principal component analysis, the studied breeding lines are divided into three main clusters according to the type of stability and intensity. Scientific novelty. Based on the research, valuable genotypes were selected that will be used as sources of seed productivity in further breeding and the creation of new adapted, high-yielding varieties of lentils in the region.

Wheat landraces as sources of high grain quality and nutritional properties

Background. Improving the grain quality of modern spring bread wheat cultivars is a highly relevant task of breeding. To solve this problem, old and local wheat varieties (landraces) are of considerable interest. A rich collection of them is available among the plant genetic resources preserved at VIR. With this in view, the aim of this research was to identify sources of high protein, gluten, macro- and micronutrient content out of the landraces from the VIR collection for improvement of wheat grain quality through breeding.Materials and methods. Field and laboratory research were conducted in the experimental field of Omsk State Agrarian University under the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia in 2020–2021. Sowing was carried out on fallow on conventional sowing dates. Mineral composition in the grain of the studied landraces was analyzed at the Kurchatov Genomic Center, Novosibirsk, using atomic absorption spectrometry techniques.Results. The research results showed that landraces from different regions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan were characterized by high levels of protein (18.4–18.8%) and gluten (35.9–36.0%) in grain. Landraces from Kazakhstan had low Zn content (on average 38.3 mg/kg), while those from Kyrgyzstan, on the contrary, had high content of Zn (41.9 mg/kg) and Fe (55.1 mg/kg), and landraces from Tajikistan had high K content (3820 mg/kg). A positive relationship between the concentrations of Mg, Mn, Fe, and Zn was found in the grain of wheat landraces.Conclusion. Wheat landraces are of interest as genetic resources for the development of high-protein cultivars with improved nutritional value of grain for the milling and breadmaking industries.

Design of a dry specialized dairy product and study of its physiology effect on the body

This article is devoted to the development of a dry specialized dairy product. This specialized dairy product will be made from organic raw materials. There are also some descriptions about effects of the ingredients on the human and animal physiology. The developed product must have the following requirements: it belongs to the group of organic products, i.e., produced from organic raw materials; have increased nutritional value, resistance to long-term storage, good transportability, high organoleptic and physico-chemical indicators, meet other quality and safety indicators. The product is made with the innovative technology based on powdered milk and high–fat cream has such requirements. Those facilitate of increased nutritional value and storage capacity. The product is produced by the gentlest method the freeze-drying method. This method of production can be used when you need to preserve all the useful and native properties of the finished product. The specialized product of a dry creamy vegetable spread with high nutritional value and long-term storage (up to 24 months) and its technology will be obtained. The results of the research were carried out at the of the Omsk State Agrarian University and the Omsk Region Budgetary Institution “Omsk Regional Veterinary Laboratory”.

Творожный продукт из козьего молока для специализированного питания

The research featured milk-protein goat curd fortified with functional ingredients and a vitamin-mineral complex. The study was a joint project by the Pavlodar State University (Pavlodar, Republic of Kazakhstan) and the Department of Food and Food Biotechnology of the Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsk, Russia). It featured Saanen goats from specialized breeding farms. The physical, chemical, and microbiological variables were reviewed for compliance with State Standard GOST 32940-2014: Goat’s milk. Specifications (January 1, 2016). The experimental tests involved standard sensory, chemical, and microbiological methods. They resulted in a new formulation with optimal biotechnological variables for a novel curd product with functional ingredients, a vitamin and mineral complex, and an activated bioenrichment agent. The latter was based on the LAT PB T biopreparation with Bifidobacterium Longum, Bifidobacterium Bifidum, Bifidobacterium Infantis, and Streptococcus Thermophillus. After being tested at a leading dairy plant in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, the biotechnology was applied for a patent.

Критериальные аспекты производства сырных продуктов специализированного назначения

The cheese production industry is currently expanding its range of highly-competitive functional products. As a result, it needs to embrace new raw materials and develop new methods of economic assessment. Cheese quality depends on various production criteria while product sales depend on effective risk management mechanisms. The current research featured risk criteria for a new functional cheese. The research objective was to develop a set of production efficiency indicators. The study was performed on the premises of the Department for Animal Feeding and Private Animal Science, Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsk, Russian Federation), and relied on standard sensory, chemical, and microbiological studies. The controlled factors included enzymic operations and their effect on the active acidity and shelf life of the finished product. The resulting risk management tools were able to minimize the effect of hazardous factors at this stage of production on the quality of the finished product. The scientific novelty was confirmed by patent for invention No. 2791553 C1, 03/10/2023.

Productivity and quality of collection samples of pumpkin (<i>Cucurbita </i> L.) in the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia

Relevance. Currently, the priority direction in the development of the food industry is the use of local raw materials and the production of products with increased nutritional value, i.e. with an increased content of micronutrients, which include vitamins, minerals, macro and microelements. One of these products of plant origin is the pumpkin culture. The cultivation of high-yielding, versatile, nutrient-rich crops, such as pumpkin, plays an important role in ensuring food security. When breeding new improved varieties, special attention is paid to the adaptability of the crop to growing conditions, as well as to portion fruits with high taste and technological qualities.Purpose. Selection of the most adapted, productive, high-quality pumpkin samples for breeding and their cultivation in industrial production and the private sector in the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia.Material and methods. Field research was conducted in 2021-2022 at the experimental site of the selection (organic) crop rotation, in the educational and experimental farm of the Omsk State Agrarian University. Meteorological conditions during the years of the experiments were different, but quite typical for the climate of the southern forest-steppe of the Omsk region. The object of research are 5 varieties of large-fruited pumpkin: Dietary, Red etamp, Crumb, Honey crumb, Honey dessert; two samples of selection of the Omsk State Agrarian University: 1/15, 2/15; three samples of selection of the FGBOU IN RGAZU: 4/21, 5/21, 7/21. Observations, accounting and analysis were carried out according to generally accepted methods.Results. The biological yield of the studied cultivars varies from 10.3 to 42.2 t/ha in 2021 and from 18.2 to 35.8 t/ha in 2022.

Effect of microfertilizers on the content of trace elements in soil during cultivation of medicinal plants

Relevance. At present, the issues of mineral nutrition of medicinal plants with essential elements remain unstudied, and the lack of certain microelements in soils is an underestimated agroecological factor. This necessitates the study of the effect of different doses of zinc and copper fertilizers on the content of mobile forms of zinc and copper in the meadow-chernozem soil when cultivating Achillea millefolium L. and Tanacetum vulgare L. in the southern forest-steppe conditions of Western Siberia.Methods. The research objects were meadow-chernozem soil, Achillea millefolium L., Tanacetum vulgare L. The field experiment was conducted during 2012–2015 on the experimental field of the Omsk State Agrarian University. Microfertilizers in the experiments were applied once in the year of planting medicinal plants. Zinc fertilizers (CH3COOH)2Zn) were applied in doses of 20, 40, 60, 80 kg/ha, copper (CH3COOH)2Cu) in doses of 2.4, 4.9, 7.2, 9.7 kg/ha against macrofertilizer (N135P45K45). Soil samples were collected and analyzed annually in the growing phase.Results. The research revealed that zinc and copper fertilizers on optimal macroelement background at low zinc (< 2,0 mg/kg) and copper content in soil (< 1,5 mg/kg) provided increase of zinc and copper mobile forms content in soil by 108,3% and 54,5% (Achillea millefolium L.) and 672,7% and 61,5% (Tanacetum vulgare L.), respectively, when applied in soil in acetate form. Optimal levels of the content of mobile forms of zinc and copper in the soil were 2.5 mg/kg and 0.17 mg/kg for Achillea millefolium L. respectively, 8.5 mg/kg and 0.21 mg/kg for Tanacetum vulgare L.

Phenotyping of lentil (Lens culinaris L.) breeding lines in terms of productivity in the Omsk oblast

The article presents the results of studying the main elements of seed productivity in 15 breeding lines of F6-7 generations of lentils obtained from interspecific crossings of varieties Aida (Russia), Vekhovskaya (Russia), Vostochnaya (Russia) and Shyraily (Kazakhstan). The purpose of the study is to research the phenotypic variability of lentil breeding lines according to the elements of the crop structure and select valuable genotypes as sources of productivity to create varieties adapted to the conditions of the region. Phenotyping of the breeding material was carried out in the field and laboratory conditions in 2020-2022 at the training and experimental field of the Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin. During the study period, very dry climatic conditions developed in 2020 (HTC = 0.62) and 2021 (HTC = 0.68), slightly dry - in 2022 (hydrothermal coefficient = 1.02). The ecological plasticity of the breeding lines was assessed by the value of the intensity and stability indicators of the stability index.The ecological plasticity of the breeding lines was assessed by the value of the intensity and stability indicators of the stability index. As a result, it was found that 11 genotypes belong to the group of varieties of intensive type, 4 - semi-intensive. Of the 15 lines, only 11 show stable seed productivity in all weather conditions, and 4 are characterized as unstable. Based on the research, valuable genotypes were selected that will be used as sources of seed productivity in further breeding and the creation of new adapted, high-yielding varieties of lentils in the region.

One hundred years to the land management faculty of the Omsk GAU: from the past to the present, from traditions to innovation

The article is about the 100th anniversary of the Land Management faculty - one of the oldest faculties of the Russian Federation. The article presents the historical milestones in the development of the land management faculty of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Omsk State Agrarian University. The paper contains information about deans, heads of departments and scientists who made a huge contribution to faculty development, and also about famous alumni, the current state and the prospects of the faculty.

POSSIBILITIES FOR THE INTRODUCTION AND BREEDING OF CHIA (SALVIA HISPANICA L.) IN THE SOUTHERN FOREST-STEPPE OF WESTERN SIBERIA

Each area of a country, due to its specific soil and climatic conditions, requires the elaboration of a biological grounding for the introduction of useful plants which might be lead to the best practical effect when cultivated both under production conditions and on garden plots. In this respect, the introduction of new species is of crucial importance.
 Research regarding chia (Salvia hispanica L.) has been conducted at Omsk State Agrarian University since 2017. This crop has been cultivated in Mexico since ancient times, while in Russia it has not been grown yet. The present article shows the scientific results of the research on chia as a new, versatile crop to be cultivated under the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia. Varietal studies were conducted on samples from different countries, including Mexico, France, Israel and Thailand.
 The sample assessment was carried on at the breeding nursery according to the following parameters: duration of the growing period, productivity and sucrose content in their leaves. In order to increase the efficiency of the breeding process when creating new chia varieties, the samples 3/18 and 0/18 can be recommended as sources due to their parameter set.
