The aviation industry has both potential and substantial obstacles as it integrates unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into regulated airspace. In order to ensure safe and effective operations in shared airspace, this study examines the difficulties associated with integrating unmanned traffic management (UTM) systems with the current air traffic management infrastructure. By means of an in-depth examination of technological and operational factors, the research delves into the principal obstacles that stakeholders encounter when attempting to regulate the growing number of unmanned aerial vehicles. To promote seamless integration, the study also identifies areas for innovation, including standardized communication protocols, traffic flow management, and cooperative decision-making frameworks. This essay offers important insights into the future of autonomous traffic management and its consequences for the larger aviation ecosystem by fusing current academic findings with industry insights.
