<p>This article is motivated by the fact that micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Bendogerit Village, Sanan Wetan District, Blitar City are experiencing several obstacles in their development, especially in terms of business permits (NIB), home industry food production certificates (SPP-IRT) and halal certificates, so that This condition requires follow-up action, including assistance for UMKM in Bendogerit Village in arranging NIB, SPP-IRT and halal certificates. This community service is carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Assistance steps are carried out by conducting preliminary studies, understanding, analyzing problems, implementing actions, and evaluating implementation. This dedication resulted in findings namely; 1) UMKM players find it helpful to obtain business permits that comply with applicable regulations and social economic provisions. 2) UMKM players receive complete instructions and understanding of the process and procedures for obtaining economic business permits. 3) Obtain economic security guarantees that can be marketed in society. 4) Provide confidence to market and develop a healthy and halal economic network.</p>

HOW DOES ECONOMIC FREEDOM AND GOVERNANCE QUALITY AFFECT ECONOMIC GROWTH: A PANEL DATA ANALYSIS FOR 26 EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of economic freedom and governance quality on economic growth. Sustainable economic growth and the factors determining prosperity have long been of interest to researchers. Therefore, analyzing the impact of economic freedoms and governance quality on economic growth is crucial. This is particularly important in a region like the European Union, which has the world's largest economic network. Twenty six of the European Union countries were chosen for this purpose. The level of economic freedom by Fraser Institute, and the level of governance by Worldbank were used to analyze this relationship. The primary hypothesis of the study is that institutional factors will stimulate economic expansion. In order to examine this hypothesis, tests for cross-section dependency, heterogeneity, unit root, cointegration, and causality were conducted. Consequently, it has been determined that these factors contribute to economic growth throughout the period. It has been discovered that there are differences across nations, and the causes for these distinctions are discussed in the discussion section.

Research on the Impact of Online Marketing on Enterprise Performance: Analysis of Financial Statements Based on the Food Industry

With the development of network economy and e-commerce technology, the expansion of online marketing models for enterprises has become an inevitable trend. Online marketing has broken through the time and space limitations of merchants selling products. Enterprises use multimedia technology to interact with customers online, display products, and increase market sales. This article takes Uni President Enterprise as an example and uses case analysis method to analyze the financial performance of relevant financial indicators of Uni President Enterprise. Based on market conditions, it adjusts online marketing strategies, expands the brand awareness of the enterprise, enhances sales revenue, and improves financial performance, which has a positive effect.

Research on dynamic robust planning method for active distribution network considering correlation

The universality of load subjects in distribution network brings challenges to the reliability of distribution network planning results. In this paper, a two-stage dynamic robust distribution network planning method considering correlation is proposed. The method evaluates the correlation between random variables using the Spearman rank correlation coefficient, and converts the correlated random variables into mutually independent random variables by Cholesky decomposition and independent transformation; expresses the source-load uncertainty by a bounded interval without distribution, and describes the active distribution network planning as a dynamic zero-sum game problem by combining with the two-phase dynamic robust planning; use the Benders decomposition approach to tackle the issue; mathematical simulation is used to confirm the accuracy and efficacy of the method. The results show that the dynamic robustness planning method of active distribution network taking into account the correlation can accurately simulate the operation of active distribution network with uncertain boundaries, which enhances the reliability and economy of the active distribution network planning results.

Urban sector land use metabolism reveals inequalities across cities and inverse virtual land flows

Urban land is the primary scene for manufacturing and services providing, through which the economic activities and trade flows amplify and cascade, interacting the natural and human systems. However, our understanding of the spatial pattern, remote drivers, and coupled interwoven linkages of economic sectoral land use within and among cities remains inadequate. Here, we establish a novel sectoral urban land use inventory and a virtual land flow network for 13 cities in the Jing-Jin-Ji region in China to understand urban land use metabolism. Results show highly mixed distribution patterns of urban sectoral land use. Moreover, spatial heterogeneity exists among industries and across spatial scales. Urban virtual land flow presents inverse directions compared to agricultural land. Results also reveal inequalities in benefit-cost and supply chain networks across cities, and a wide range of control and exploitation relationships in the region. Our results suggest that Beijing and Tianjin, as main beneficiaries in the regional economic network, are responsible for collaborating intensively in Jing-Jin-Ji region and will be key in promoting sustainable development.

Cross-Network Weaponization in the Semiconductor Supply Chain

Abstract How do states’ positions across multiple and interconnected economic networks affect their power? The Weaponized Interdependence (WI) scholarship emphasizes that states centrally located in global economic networks have access to new sources of coercion. In this paper, we look at how their positions across multiple networks interact with each other to create new opportunities and vulnerabilities. We use network analysis to map the semiconductor supply chain and show that it can be viewed as four interrelated networks: (1) design, (2) raw material, (3) manufacturing equipment, and (4) assembled chips. We then highlight how states’ centrality varies across these networks and how it shapes their respective opportunities for coercion. Looking specifically at the United States, we emphasize how its centrality in the design network enables it to weaponize chokepoints in the trade network of assembled chips. In so doing the paper makes three contributions. First, it highlights how interactions among multiple economic networks provide new opportunities for states to weaponize interdependence. Second, it contributes to recent attempts using network analysis to analyze structural power on the global stage. Last, it demonstrates how network methodology can help detect potential (ab)uses of WI and how the potential for weaponization evolves over time.

ENSURING THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF ENTERPRISES NETWORK STRUCTURES: PROJECT CONTEXTSм

The article examines the concept of economic security, as well as substantiates the practical of ensuring the economic security of network structures using a project approach. On the basis of which, the ratio of the main components of economic security enterprises network structures in the context of project aspects is proposed. A comprehensive study of ensuring the economic security network structures was conducted. The algorithm for strengthening the security component of enterprise network structures with the identification of the relevant stages is substantiated.

The article considers the ways of forming the cognitive component of students' professional thinking in the context of digital transformation of higher education. European trends that affect the quality of educational services are highlighted; attention is focused on the problems of globalisation, the use of artificial intelligence and robotics, the use of cloud technologies, which together affect the nature of human life and the peculiarities of the development of educational institutions. Among the newest ways to solve these problems, the article highlights the following: creation of a digital educational environment for professional training of specialists competitive in the employment market. It is proved that digital transformation is of great importance in the globalised world, and the modernisation of education is aimed at solving the latest global problems. The article identifies the following modern trends in information development that influence the process of digitalisation of education: development of artificial intelligence, "machine learning", neural networks; further development of mobile-oriented tools; widespread introduction of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies; the development of cloud computing and virtualisation technologies, cloud computing technologies; the development of augmented reality and virtual reality; widespread introduction of chatbots and virtual assistants, etc. The article considers the trends of digitalisation of the educational environment in higher education institutions in Germany and Austria, including digital ecosystems, which in the form of open learning systems offer the latest design structure for using the possibilities of modern digitalisation in the network economy. It is proved that SMART-education provides new opportunities related to the use of e-learning technologies; ensures mobility and accessibility of educational information; allows the format of autonomy of the teacher and students using mobile devices in the educational process; makes it possible to provide flexible educational services in terms of individual capabilities of the master's student; provides support for individual programmes for the personal development of each student.

Multistage reliability-constrained stochastic planning of diamond distribution network: An approximate dynamic programming approach

In this paper, a multistage reliability-constrained stochastic planning model is established for the diamond distribution network, a new type of distribution system grid structure, with the goal of optimizing the total cost of investment and operation. The uncertainty of load growth is simulated by generating multiple load growth scenarios, and the power supply loss caused by the reliability of components in the system is also considered. The multistage stochastic dynamic decision process is modeled by The Markov decision process. In order to solve the “curse of dimensionality” problem in multi-stage stochastic planning model, the approximate dynamic programming algorithm is used to solve it. The case study is based on the typical structure of the diamond distribution network and realistic data of an actual district in Shanghai, China. The planning results verify the effectiveness of the model and the solution algorithm, and demonstrate the reliability and economy of the diamond distribution network are superior to the traditional double-ring network.

Maritime Transport Network in Korea: Spatial-Temporal Density and Path Planning

The increase in maritime traffic and vessel size has strengthened the need for economical and safe maritime transportation networks. Currently, ship path planning is based on past experience and shortest route usage. However, the increasing complexity of the marine environment and the development of autonomous ships require automatic shortest path generation based on maritime traffic networks. This paper proposes an efficient shortest path planning method using Dijkstra’s algorithm based on a maritime traffic network dataset created by extracting maritime traffic routes through a spatial-temporal density analysis of large-scale AIS data and Delaunay triangulation. Additionally, the depth information of all digital charts in Korea was set as a safety contour to support safe path planning. The proposed network-based shortest path planning method was compared with the path planning and sailing distance of a training ship, and compliance with maritime laws was verified. The results demonstrate the practicality and safety of the proposed method, which can enable the establishment of a safe and efficient maritime transportation network along with the development of autonomous ships.

Heterogeneity and dynamics in network models

SummaryWe propose an empirical spatial modeling framework that allows for both heterogeneity and dynamics in economic network connections. We establish the model's stationarity and ergodicity properties and show that the model's implied filter is invertible. While highly flexible, the model is straightforward to estimate by maximum likelihood. We apply the model to three datasets for Eurozone sovereign credit risk over the period Dec‐2009 to Dec‐2022. Accounting for both heterogeneity and time‐variation turns out to be empirically important both in‐sample and out‐of‐sample. The new model uncovers intuitive patterns that would go unnoticed in either homogeneous and/or static spatial financial network models.

The power of embeddedness: how nodal power affects the value appropriation potential of firms in economic networks?

PurposeThis paper explains why some firms manage to capture disproportionate value from their network of relationships, leading to superior performance. The paper examines how a firm's dependencies affect its value appropriation potential (VAP) in economic networks.Design/methodology/approachThe paper follows the axiomatic method and the embeddedness perspective of firms to develop an index called nodal power, which captures the power that accrues to a firm in exchange-based economic networks. Thereafter, using the formal method and simulation, it shows nodal power reflects a firm's VAP in economic networks.FindingsThe study analysis and findings prove that a firm's dyadic level exchange relations and the embedded network structure determine its VAP by affecting the nodal power. A firm with lesser nodal power is likely to appropriate less value from its relations even if it equally contributes to the value creation. This finding explains how the structural and relational characteristics of a firm's network enable disproportionate value appropriation.Practical implicationsNodal power furthers the scope of analyzing firms' economic relationships and changing power equations in dynamic networks. It can help firms build optimal strategic networks and manage the portfolio of relationships by predicting the impact of changing relations on firms' VAP.Originality/valueThe paper's original contribution is to explain, through formal analysis, why and how the structure and nature of relations of firms affect their VAP. The paper also formalizes the power-dependence principle through a dependency-based index called nodal power and uses it to show how interfirm dependencies are key to value appropriation.

Are larger cities more central in urban networks: A meta‐analysis

AbstractAs cities develop more and longer‐range external relations, some have challenged the long‐standing notion that population size indicates a city's power in its urban system. But are population size and network centrality really independent properties in practice, or do larger cities tend to be more central in urban networks? To answer this question, we conducted a systematic literature search and meta‐analysed 41 reported correlations between city size and degree centrality. The results show that population size and degree centrality are significantly and positively correlated for cities across various urban systems (r = 0.77), but the correlation varies by network scale and type. The size‐centrality association is weaker for global economic and transportation networks (r = 0.43), and stronger for non‐global social and communication networks (r = 0.91). This clarifies seemingly contradictory predictions in the literature regarding the association betweensize and centrality for cities.

The Impact of Internet Finance on the Real Economy

Due to the improvement of information technology, the emergence of 5G network, and the rapid development of global informatization, the Internet economy, as an emerging force, has developed rapidly, and gradually formed a network economy and society with Internet as the center. By April 2023, the number of Internet users worldwide has reached 8.5 billion. In this case, more and more people advocate Internet finance, the real economy has been affected to a certain extent. The real economy is the source and cornerstone of social development, marking the economic development level of a country or region. How to improve the growth of the real economy has been the focus of the municipal government. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the impact of Internet finance on the real economy, find out the reasons for the slow development of the real economy, and explore how to use Internet finance to promote the development of the real economy. By using iterature review and some data from the Internet, this article finds that Internet finance will promote and hinder the development of the real economy.

Theoretical aspects of the digitalization of production processes

Today due to the development of technologies a new economy, network economy is formed. The network business is an economic activity carried out through digital networks. The introduction of the network economy into production at the present stage is conditioned by a special economic category or form of industrial relations in cooperation with the development of productive forces and economic phenomena. In the context of digitalization, contradictory requirements are beginning to be placed on production. In the first case, it is about low costs and high variability, in the other case, the life cycle of a product is beginning to shorten rapidly. The key aspect is to increase the productivity of the enterprise by reducing the time of the development of new products marketed and delivered to the consumer. As a result, the reduction contributes to overall efficiency. The authors substantiate that digitalization of production is the consolidation of all business processes at the enterprise using computer and information technologies. Rooted America: Immobility and Segregation of the Intercounty Migration Network

Despite the popular narrative that the United States is a “land of mobility,” the country may have become a “rooted America” after a decades-long decline in migration rates. This article interrogates the lingering question about the social forces that limit migration, with an empirical focus on internal migration in the United States. We propose a systemic, network model of migration flows, combining demographic, economic, political, and geographic factors and network dependence structures that reflect the internal dynamics of migration systems. Using valued temporal exponential-family random graph models, we model the network of intercounty migration flows from 2011 to 2015. Our analysis reveals a pattern of segmented immobility, where fewer people migrate between counties with dissimilar political contexts, levels of urbanization, and racial compositions. Probing our model using “knockout experiments” suggests one would have observed approximately 4.6 million (27 percent) more intercounty migrants each year were the segmented immobility mechanisms inoperative. This article offers a systemic view of internal migration and reveals the social and political cleavages that underlie geographic immobility in the United States.

These methods were conducted to look at the Islamic boarding school economic network/ Bu Nyai Islamic boarding school based economization in Indonesia.Findings: This research has the following conclusions: First, the role of Bu. Nyai in the field of science and technology has been opened and the impact of progress in science and technology is not only for Bu Nyai, but also Pak. Kyai, Bu. Nyai's role in the field of employment is increasing, and Islamic boarding schools provide space for women to move. Not nyai in developing science and technology and involvement in the field. Second, the role of Bu. Nyai as a wife which includes being a wife which includes helping her husband, clearing up household affairs, using money functionally, maintaining healthy social relationships or relationships, maintaining and developing family relationships and fulfilling the function of a wife towards her husband as well as possible. Bu Nyai's role as a mother is to fulfill children's needs, as an example or model for her children, as a stimulus for child development, and as a public figure, and the roles of Bu Nyai and Pak Kyai in the domestic sphere are broadly balanced, except in the matter of roles especially the wife who is in charge of women's biological needs.Originality/Values: The main contribution of this study what is Bu Nyai's public role in the economic perspective of Islamic boarding schools, and what is the domestic role of Bu Nyai Novelis in the perspective of Islamic boarding schools.
