Understanding the Link between High-Speed Rail and Economic Growth

This study systematically reviews the literature on high-speed rail (HSR) and its impact on economic growth, revealing significant development potential, but with regional disparities. Larger cities often benefit more than smaller ones, highlighting the need for strategic policies to ensure inclusive growth. Initiatives such as supporting local innovation, retaining talent, and addressing accessibility gaps are essential. Current research uses quantitative methods and focuses on specific countries, suggesting broader qualitative approaches are needed. Effective implementation of HSR requires more than infrastructure; success depends on factors such as high population density, supportive land use regulations, and investment in education. Caution is advised for developing countries that lack national HSR policies or technological innovation. Tailored regulations and localized support are critical to optimize economic benefits and address uneven growth, as the viability of HSR depends on favorable geographical and economic conditions.

STI or DUI modes of innovation: Evidence from comprehensive evaluation of four cities in China

The Science and Technology Innovation Center holds a pivotal position in the national science and technology innovation system, and a scientific evaluation of the “Sci-tech Innovation Center” will guide its construction direction. This study found the advantages and disadvantages of the four cities through comparison; Hence improvement suggestions were proposed for the weaknesses of the four cities. There are two main paths for the government to drive technology innovation: STI (Science and Technology Innovation) mode and DUI (Doing, Using, Interacting) mode. With the aid of the evaluation index system of the Sci-tech Innovation Center, this article uses fuzzy sets, rough sets and fuzzy dynamic clustering methods to comprehensively evaluate the effects of driving technology innovation in the four cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The results found that Shenzhen has a significant effect in DUI, and Beijing has a significant effect in STI. The choice of path is related to the abundance of innovation resources.

Examining the role of national governance capacity in building the global low-carbon agricultural supply chains

The majority of related research has traditionally focused on examining the individual influences of national governance capacity and technological innovation on carbon emissions and economic performance, neglecting the effects and influence mechanisms on carbon efficiency within agricultural supply chains, which is not conducive to advancing a low-carbon transition that includes agricultural concerns. This study addresses these gaps by investigating the correlation between national governance capacity (considering voice and accountability, political stability and absence of violence/terrorism, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, rule of law and corruption control) and agricultural supply chain carbon efficiency and investigating the influence mechanism and mediating role of technological innovation. The relevant findings are twofold. 1) The impact of national governance capacity and its components on agricultural carbon efficiency follows an inverted U-shaped curve. 2) Technological innovation can act as a mediator between national governance capacity and select factors of voice and accountability, government effectiveness and regulatory quality to enhance agricultural supply chain carbon efficiency. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers and managers in agricultural supply chain enterprises seeking to transition towards low-carbon agriculture.

Fine Practice and Exploration of Scientific Research Management in Universities Under the New Situation -- Take Hainan Vocational University of Science and Technology as an example

With the rapid development of science and technology and the country s increasing attention to scientific research, the management of scientific research in universities is facing new challenges and requirements. This paper aims to explore the new situation of scientific research management practice and exploration, in Hainan vocational university of science and technology, for example, through the analysis of the current research management status and problems, the necessity of fine management, implementation strategies and concrete practice measures, in order to improve the efficiency and quality of scientific research management in colleges and universities, promote the transformation and application of scientific research achievements, to make greater contribution to national scientific and technological innovation and economic development.

The Analysis of Electric Phase Separation and Common Technical Issues of High-speed Railway System in China

The electric railway, as a vital economic transportation artery, offers high efficiency and effectiveness compared to other modes of transportation. The characteristics of efficient transport, comfortable ride and environmental friendliness have effectively driven regional economic construction and industrial economy along the route, which has significantly enhanced cultural and economic exchanges between different regions, becomes the preferred mode of transportation for medium-distance and long-distance travel, and plays an irreplaceable role in China’s current transportation system. Under the increasing demand for passenger flow, the high-speed and high-density tracking operation of trains has become the new normal of high-speed railway operation management. In the background of national science and technology innovation development strategy, how to further shorten the train tracking interval to improve transportation efficiency and further reduce the energy consumption of train operation to improve the energy utilization level of the railway industry is the focus of the current electric railway construction and operation management department. The electric phase separation is a special and intricate part of the traction power supply system in China’s electric railway, and it is an indispensable component. The article describes that some main techniques relating to electrical phase separation are utilized extensively in China’s high-speed railway, by studying the technologies of electric phase separation, a few new methods were given and shared, which will solve the issues of high energy consumption, increased breakdowns, large equipment loss, and the lower speed, to better serve economic and social development and people’s travel.

National central cities, technological innovation, and economic growth

This study examines the impact of establishing national central cities on economic growth in China while considering technological innovation and regional differences. Using the multiperiod difference-in-differences method and the real GDP per capita metric, it finds that national central cities boost economic growth, especially in the eastern region of the country. Furthermore, technological innovation enhances this effect. The findings offer insights into the influence of national central cities and the role of technological innovation in driving economic progress.

The Impact of Digital Trade Barriers on Technological Innovation Efficiency and Sustainable Development

The global digitization trend provides a favorable development environment for the efficient acquisition of knowledge and technology. However, restrictions imposed by countries on digital trade have hindered this trend. This study is based on 60 sample countries to study the impact of the digital trade barrier (DTB) on the technology innovation efficiency (TIE) of each country and the pathways from 2014 to 2020. Research finds that DTB significantly inhibits TIE. Among the five different policy fields that form DTB, Infrastructure and Connecting DTB and Other DTB have the greatest negative impact on TIE. A mechanism analysis found that DTB increases the difficulty of acquiring knowledge spillover and the high cost of research and development, leading to the mismatch and low efficiency of innovation resources, ultimately leading to a reduction in technological innovation efficiency in various countries. Participating in international technological innovation networks and improving technological innovation capabilities have a moderating effect on the aforementioned negative impacts that is beneficial for the sustainable development of national technological innovation. Heterogeneity tests indicate that countries with weaker innovation capabilities, low- and middle-income countries, and countries that have not joined the OECD have a more significant negative impact. This study serves as an important reference for the government to adjust digital trade policies and guide the effective use of external resources for sustainable and efficient technological innovation.

Industrial Robot Digital Twin Application Technology

This paper mainly discusses the core position of the course "Industrial robot Application Technology" in the national double high construction professional group and the innovation of teaching methods. The "task-driven, process" of production-teaching collaboration built through digital twin technology aims to cultivate students' design development. The importance of the course "Industrial Robot Application Technology" is introduced. Teachers' teaching innovation team, national production training base and national science and technology innovation service platform support the digital development of this technology in intelligent manufacturing to create a digital twin teaching platform. In the course material content-based teaching design and the docking of industrial needs, including and industrial robot operation certification. In addition, the action-oriented teaching concept, ideological and political materials are integrated into the teaching design, and the paper emphasizes the teaching material compilation method and three-dimensional teaching material design. At the same time, it also has a potential impact on the expected model innovation of the application and promotion of teaching materials and continuing education.

High-Impact Scientific Production of Thesis Advisors in the Faculties of Accounting in Peru, 2023

Describe the high impact scientific production of thesis advisors belonging to accounting faculties in Peru at the undergraduate level for the period 2023. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out. The study was carried out on the basis of 1,784 undergraduate theses reviewed from the accounting faculties of the nine Peruvian universities ranked in the Scimago Journal Rank 2023 page. The scientific production of the advisors was searched in the Scopus database, as well as their qualification as Renacyt (National Scientific, Technological and Technological Innovation Regulation applicable to researchers in Peru). Only 25 thesis advisors (3.4%) have high impact scientific production. And 52 thesis advisors (7.1%) present Renacyt qualification. From the combination of the results we have that the accounting faculties in Peru at the undergraduate level, only 2.9% of their thesis advisors have made high impact scientific production and in turn have been qualified as Renacyt teachers. There is evidence of the lack of concern of the accounting faculties of the main universities in Peru with respect to the key people in the training process of the accounting professional. This is the position of the thesis advisor who lacks high impact scientific production and his lack of qualification as a Renacyt Professor.

Analysis and Exploration of Achievement Transformation Models in Chinese and Japanese Universities

With the global economy entering the knowledge economy era, technological innovation has become the core driving force for the development of various countries. Only by transforming technological achievements into goods or services can their economic and social value be truly realized. Especially in developing countries like China, whether technological achievements can be quickly and effectively transformed into real productivity is of decisive significance for economic growth, industrial upgrading, and international competitiveness enhancement. The outline of China's 14th Five Year Plan proposes to accelerate the construction of a strong country in science and technology and enhance the country's capacity for scientific and technological innovation. Universities, as the main base for talent cultivation and the main force of the national scientific and technological innovation system, should become an important platform for achievement transformation. However, the conversion rate of patent achievements in Chinese universities has always been low. This article reviews and draws on Japan's experience and practices in promoting achievement conversion, and explores new models of achievement conversion that are suitable for China's national conditions.

Deep Learning-Based Carbon Emission Forecasting and Peak Carbon Pathways in China’s Logistics Industry

As a major energy-consuming industry, energy conservation and emission reduction in the logistics industry are critical to China’s timely achievement of its dual-carbon goals of “carbon peaking” by 2030 and “carbon neutrality” by 2060. Based on deep learning, Random Forest (RF) was used to screen out the key factors affecting carbon emissions in the logistics industry, and the Whale Algorithm-optimized Radial Basis Function Neural Network (WOA-RBF) was proposed. The Monte Carlo simulation predicted the future evolution trends of each key factor under the three scenarios of baseline scenario (BAU), policy regulation scenario (PR), and technological breakthrough scenario (TB) and accurately predicted the carbon emission trends of the logistics industry from 2023 to 2035 by using the most probable future values of each influencing factor as inputs to the WOA-RBF prediction model. The results of the study demonstrate that fixed asset investment (LFI), population (P), total energy consumption (E), energy consumption per unit of value added of the logistics industry (EIL), share of oil consumption (OR), and share of railway freight turnover (RTR) are the key factors influencing the logistics industry’s carbon emissions. Monte Carlo simulations can effectively reflect the uncertainty of future changes in these key factors. In comparison to the BAU and PR scenarios, the TB scenario, with the combined incentives of national policy regulation and technology innovation, is the most likely for the logistics industry to meet the “Peak Carbon” goal baseline scenario.

Antiviral effectiveness and survival correlation of azvudine and nirmatrelvir/ritonavir in elderly severe patients with COVID-19: a retrospective real-world study

Azvudine and nirmatrelvir/ritonavir are approved to treat mild-to-moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in adults with a high risk for progression to severe infection. We sought to compare the antiviral effectiveness and clinical outcomes of elderly severe patients with COVID-19 receiving these two antiviral agents. In this observational study, we identified 249 elderly patients with severe COVID-19 infection who were admitted to the Second Medical Center of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital from December 2022 to January 2023, including 128 azvudine recipients, 66 nirmatrelvir/ritonavir recipients and 55 patients not received antiviral treatments. We compared the cycle threshold (Ct) value dynamic change of all three groups. The primary outcome was a composite outcome of disease progression, including all-cause death, intensive care unit admission, and initiation of invasive mechanical ventilation. The outcomes of all enrolled patients were followed up from the electronic medical record system. Kaplan-Meier and Cox risk proportional regression analyses were used to compare the clinical outcomes of all three groups. To more directly compare the effectiveness of the two antiviral drugs, we performed propensity-score matching between the two antiviral groups and compared antiviral efficacy and clinical outcomes in the matched population. Among 249 patients (mean age, 91.41 years), 77 patients died during the follow-up period. When compared to patients who did not receive any antivirals, neither nirmatrelvir/ritonavir nor azvudine demonstrated a survival benefit. The Cox analysis of the all-cause death of the three groups showed that the risk of death was 0.730 (0.423-1.262) in the azvudine group 0.802 (0.435-1.480) and in the nirmatrelvir/ritonavir group compared with the non-antiviral group. After propensity score matching, we included 58 azvudine recipients and 58 nirmatrelvir/ritonavir recipients. The fitted curve of the Ct value after matching illustrated that the rate of viral decline in the early stage of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir treatment seems to surpass that of azvudine, but there was no statistical significance. Azvudine was seemly associated with a lower risk of composite outcomes (HR:1.676, 95% CI:0.805-3.488) and short-term all-cause death (HR: 1.291, 95%CI: 0.546-3.051). Patients who received azvudine have a similar antiviral effectiveness and survival curve trend compared to nirmatrelvir/ritonavir. In this limited series, antiviral treatment was not associated with a significant clinical benefit. This lack of clinical benefit might be attributed to potential bias. Research on Intelligent Transformation Platform of Scientific and Technological Achievements Based on Topic Model Algorithm and Its Application

Being an integral component of the national scientific and technological innovation structure, the conversion of scientific and technological breakthroughs shifts these discoveries from mere theoretical concepts to practical applications. However, this transformation process encounters issues concerning suboptimal efficiency and standards. This research investigates into the LDA theme model to extract pivotal terms and thematic phrases representing scientific and technological advancements. The aim is to ensure precise representation and endorsement, consequently enhancing the efficiency and quality of the conversion process for academic institutions and businesses. Subsequently, this paper establishes a platform for converting scientific and technological breakthroughs while examining the subsystems of information management, retrieval, and recommendations about these breakthroughs. This platform also includes aspects such as transactions and the delivery of achievements. Additionally, an analysis is conducted on the application effects of the scientific and technological achievement (STA) transformation platform, considering the transformation results and the operational evaluation of these scientific and technological innovations.

The article raises the issue of the relevance of the development of international cooperation in the aerospace industry, taking into account the trends of post-industrial society, the development of artificial intelligence, and the transformation of the world society. It is specified that one of the key indicators of the transition from an industrial to a post-industrial society is the active development of the service sector and the importance of education and the knowledge economy, which come to the fore. The economy of post-industrial societies is dominated by innovative sectors such as high-performance industries, high-quality and innovative services as a share of GDP, and a larger share of the population employed in the service sector than in industrial production. A country with a highly developed aerospace industry demonstrates its national strength, scientific and technological innovation, effective public policy, strategic vision and principles of national security. At the international level, the leading countries of the world have identified the coordination of space activities and the development of aerospace industry as a priority of the national level. Ukraine has a complete space complex (rockets, spacecraft, ground control centers, data processing centers) and most aviation platforms (reusable spacecraft, some passenger aircraft, military transport, transport-only), has the potential for construction, research and development, can organize the production, operation and use of the rocket, space and aviation technology. The aviation industry and the space industry outline the long-term prospects for the development of the country’s economy. In terms of development, the aerospace industry is ahead of other industries and plays a vital role in modern civilization. The development of the aviation industry is urgent for Ukraine, including the development of ground airport infrastructure, air transport and a combination of ground and air transport.

中国湖泊科学数据共享的路径和方法

The reuse of scientific data can foster the sharing and collaboration of research processes, facilitating a more efficient allocation of data resources. Lake scientific data, as an important fundamental strategic resources, play a crucial role in driving national scientific and technological innovation, fostering economic and social development, and advancing the construction of a national ecological civilization. The sharing of scientific data pertaining to lakes has gradually emerged as an important part of China's national scientific and technological innovation system construction. This research synthesizes the primary channels for lake data production, offering a comprehensive overview of the main data types and formats of lake data from the perspective of lake discipline as an interdisciplinary discipline, and summarizes the current situation of sharing scientific data on lakes both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, this paper also proposed strategies and methodologies for facilitating sharing scientific data related to lakes based on standardized systems, data classification, service platforms, and hierarchical sharing services. In this study, we concluded the institutional measures for lake data sharing, and provided insights for the further development of lake science data sharing under new circumstances. This research is undertaken with the aim of fostering the transformation of lake science data sharing modes under the new paradigm of lake science research.

Does the Belt and Road Initiative promote international innovation cooperation?

International innovation cooperation is crucial to the enhancement of national technological innovation capabilities in the context of globalization. Does the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), as a major international initiative, promote innovation cooperation between China and BRI partner countries? Taking the top 80 global countries in innovation capability as the research sample, this paper uses the DID method to answer this question. The empirical results show that the BRI indeed promoted innovation cooperation between them to a certain extent. Specifically, it significantly increased the proportion of their cooperative patents in China’s total patents, and the promotion effect was more obvious for countries with better economic foundations. Furthermore, the mechanism tests indicate that shortening the institutional distance, strengthening the exchange of scientific and technological talents, and stimulating cultural differences were important mechanisms promoting their innovation cooperation. Although the BRI did not significantly increase the proportion of cooperative patents in BRI partner countries’ total patents, it effectively improved their innovation foundations and capabilities.

Research on Cost Management of Logistics Enterprises Under the Between Big Data, Intelligence, Mobile Internet and Cloud Computing

In 2013, the concept of "Great wisdom moving Cloud" was first proposed at the China Internet Conference. Under the national technology innovation strategy, Dazhiyun has gradually become a powerful technology engine for economic development and enterprise transformation and upgrading. With the advent of the era of "big wisdom moving cloud", the traditional enterprise cost management has been unable to meet the current financial management requirements, how to form a cost leading advantage has become the core task of cost management. Big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things and other related technologies provide technical support for enterprise cost management innovation. However, under the background of "big wisdom moving to cloud", there are still many shortcomings in enterprise cost control, such as backward cost management concept, backward related supporting system, lack of professional talent quality, data collection distortion, etc. Enterprises should take the initiative to introduce information technology. To develop in the direction of technological innovation and management innovation, reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Reassessing the linkage between natural resources and economic growth in China: Delving into the impacts of national resource taxes, renewable energy, financial advancements, and provincial fiscal expenditures

While there has been extensive research on the relationship between natural resources and the economy, the indirect impacts of natural resources on economic growth remain underexplored. This study, spanning from 1995 to 2017, delves into the link between natural resources and economic growth across China's provincial economies. The research incorporates controllable variables such as financial development, renewable energy, technological innovation, and provincial fiscal expenditures. A variety of panel methodologies were employed, with the innovative MMQR serving as the primary technique. Additionally, the CIPS and Westerlund tests were utilized for unit root and cointegration assessments. To ensure the robustness of the findings, the study also incorporated Granger causality, Bootstrap quantile regression, and causal observations. The results demonstrate that long-term cointegration has been found and that the data are stable at Difference D(1). National resource taxes have a favorable effect on economic growth across all quantiles, according to the MMQR findings. Renewable energy and financial growth also boost all quantiles of the province's economy. Furthermore, the economic expansion brought on by renewable energy occurs in the lower quantiles while it declines in the upper quantiles, indicating that the investment or transition will slow down over the next few years. Furthermore, outcomes from robustness check analysis are similar, trustworthy, and true. The causal connection shows that whereas national resource tax, technological innovation, renewable energy, and financial development have a bidirectional causal relationship between components, public fiscal expenditures have a unidirectional causal relationship with economic growth. Since the study is linked to the provincial government rather than the federal government, the policies are mostly concentrated at the provincial level.

National Agricultural Science and Technology Parks in China: Distribution Characteristics, Innovation Efficiency, and Influencing Factors

This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics and innovation efficiency of national agricultural science and technology parks (NASTPs) and identify the main influencing factors on the parks’ innovation and development. The goal is to optimize the allocation of science and technology innovation resources in these parks, promote national agricultural science and technology innovation, and enhance the quality of agricultural development. To achieve this, the paper employs spatial analysis methods and a three-stage DEA-Tobit model to conduct both macro and micro-level analyses. The research findings are as follows: (1) Distribution characteristics: NASTPs tend to exhibit a uniform distribution at the national scale, but at the provincial level, their distribution appears clustered and uneven. Specifically, three high-density areas and two sub-high-density areas have emerged on the eastern side of the Hu line, displaying a decreasing trend from east to west. (2) Innovation efficiency: By excluding the influence of environmental factors and random interference, the lack of scale efficiency (SE) emerges as the primary reason for the generally low innovation efficiency of NASTPs. (3) Environmental factors: Science and technology training exhibits a negative correlation with innovation efficiency in NASTPs. Leading enterprises, income level, innovation support, and demonstration and promotion show positive correlations with IE in NASTPs. To promote national agricultural science and technology innovation and enhance the quality of agricultural development, it is recommended, based on a central-level development perspective, to focus on the layout of the northeast and northwest regions. At the local level, expanding the scale of key enterprise inputs and increasing the demonstration and promotion of scientific and technological achievements are recommended. Additionally, at the NASTPs level, guiding the construction of a national agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone is advised.

Effect of the logistics industry on the promotion of China's position in the global value chain: An international trade perspective

In an increasingly complex international environment and deepening economic globalisation, the logistics industry, as the basis of international trade circulation, has a far-reaching effect on promoting a country's position in the global value chain. Based on the perspective of international trade, this study presents a two-way fixed effects model using the 1995–2018 panel data of 59 economies. The empirical results show that the development of the logistics industry can significantly promote the status of a country's global value chain. National economic development level, human capital, technological innovation and application level, and logistics infrastructure level are the main channels through which this promotion effect takes place. Therefore, China should accelerate the construction of export logistics infrastructure and cross-border intelligent logistics systems, and enhance the customs clearance and logistics hub capacity of its ports. ‘Reinforcing’, ‘strengthening’, and ‘extending’ the chain as a means to optimise chain integration force will allow smooth circulation at home and abroad, high-quality development of the logistics industry, and greater opportunities. Ultimately, this will promote the status of the global value chain in the high-quality development stage of the national economy.
