The research aims to present the experience of developing an audiovisual set of textbooks with a national-cultural component “Two Worlds – Two Souls” for Chinese university students in the “Russian Language” training program. The paper discusses the basic requirements for Russian language textbooks in China, the structure and content of the author’s set. The research is novel in that it is the first to propose a model of a set of Russian language textbooks for Chinese students focused on the development of two competencies (auditory and intercultural) and including texts about Russia and China (culture, history, traditions, people) in equal proportions. As a result, it was proved that at the present stage of development of Chinese education, materials based on the principle of a dialogue between native and foreign cultures are necessary, compiled taking into account a gradual increase in difficulty, including texts on traditional and modern topics and contributing to the development of many competencies.

Automotive culture of China and Russia

INTRODUCTION. The study is devoted to considering the problem of the specifics of Chinese and Russian automotive cultures and is focused on the explication of linguistic facts. The purpose of the study is to analyze the “linguocultural space” of automotive culture, which can be a certain marker of the names of car brands as a specific category of proper names in Chinese and Russian linguistic cultures.MATERIALS AND METHODS. The empirical material for the study was the names of famous car brands in China and Russia, taken from scientific and popular science publications on the history of automotive culture. To describe the facts of the language, a continuous sampling method, a descriptive method and an interpretation method, and definitional analysis were used.RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. It has been established that automotive culture, being a component of national culture, reflects a specific way of human activity. Automotive culture is strengthened by local car brands and plays an important role in the economy of any country. Nowadays, Chinese automobile culture plays an important role in the global market, providing people with increasingly competitive cars and services, and taking an active place in the life of modern society. The future of the Chinese automotive industry will pursue a path of self-reliant and highquality development to create a favorable living environment for people.CONCLUSION. The development of automotive culture is largely determined by the degree of significant semantic indicators, which include “prestige”, “reliability”, “comfort”, “price”, “fashion”. These indicators for native speakers of both Chinese and Russian languages are assigned to the names of car brands and give an idea of automotive culture, reflected in the form of the so-called “image of the world,” which explicates the linguistic component, taking into account the specifics of the national culture and the native speaker at the same time, reflecting important information about different linguistic cultures in the context of synchrony.

The study identifies the key linguistic mechanisms of transmission of cultural concepts, reveals the specifics of text perception in different cultural contexts. These findings provide a basis for further research in linguistics and literary studies, deepening our understanding of the interaction between culture, language and artistic creation. The results can be used to develop language and cultural studies teaching methods and to better analyze literary works in cultural contexts.

The cultural codes of Tunisia in the work of G. A. Makhrova "My Tunisia"

The subject of this article is the linguistic means of creating a linguistic and cultural image of Tunisia in the memoirs of Galina Aleksandrovna Makhrova "My Tunisia". The studied linguistic units are considered as representatives of the linguistic and cultural codes of Tunisia – subject, spatial, biomorphic, temporal, spiritual. The linguistic and cultural code in the article refers to the verbally implemented code of national culture. The functions of such linguistic units as vocabulary with a national cultural component (vocabulary of the thematic groups "Clothes", "Cosmetics", "Food and drinks"), proper names (toponyms and anthroponyms), adjectives with a color component in the space of the Russian literary text are analyzed. The influence of the author's linguistic personality as a representative of another (Russian) linguistic culture and a representative of a certain profession (artist) on the choice of linguistic means of creating an image of the country as both his own and someone else's space is assessed. Research methods: descriptive method, methods of analysis and synthesis, linguistic and cultural analysis of a literary text, the method of continuous sampling of linguistic units with a national cultural component and the method of component analysis to identify culturally specific semes of their lexical meaning. The novelty of this study is related to the research material (memoirs of G.A. Makhrova) - the subject of the study (the linguistic and cultural codes of Tunisia are studied in terms of its perception by a native speaker of a different linguistic culture, who feels himself a part of both Tunisian and Russian linguistic cultures) - description of the linguistic and cultural code of Tunisia, taking into account the peculiarities of the linguistic personality of the author of the text: G.A. Makhrova perceives many linguistic and cultural details in a special way, since he is a professional artist. The analyzed language material allows us to draw the following conclusions: 1.In the Tunisian subject code, the linguistic units of the thematic groups "Clothing", "Cosmetics", "Food and drinks" are of particular importance. 2.The spatial code is mainly represented by toponyms, among which the names of hills, as well as beaches and resort towns predominate. Among proper names, a group of names associated with the history of Tunisia stands out, which creates the image of Tunisia as a country with a rich past, located at the crossroads of civilizations. 3.The phytonymic symbol of Tunisia in the work is jasmine. 4. G.A. Makhrova is a professional artist, and therefore adjectives of color play a significant role in creating the image of Tunisia. 5.The names of the deities are associated with the spiritual code of Tunisia.

Reflection of Chinese Cultural Realities in the Modern Russian Language in the Paradigm of Subject and Semantic Correspondences

The article deals with the importance of language and culture interaction, the linguistic and cultural characteristics as features of the languages belonging to various linguistic macrogroups (Russian as part of Indo-European, Chinese as part of Sino-Tibetan). The paper highlights the importance of translation in the interaction of linguistic cultures; the difficulties that can be encountered in interpreting the realities of another culture are indicated, which is due to both the peculiarities of the lexical and grammatical structure of the source and translating languages, and the peculiarities associated with the traditional culture of the language community.
 The component of the meaning of the real words of the Russian and Chinese languages with different semantic structures is part of the denotative macro component of the lexical meaning of the word. The national-cultural component of words with different degrees of differentiation of concepts in the Russian and Chinese languages is included in the significative macro component of their lexical meaning, and its content consists of differential semes of the significative macro component. The national-cultural component of the lexical meaning of words of corresponding languages with a mismatched internal form is the semes of the denotative macro component. Russian linguoculture should take into account the specifics of the Russian language, and in cases where the realities are completely alien to Russian national and cultural ideas, the necessary historical and other comments are tobe given. It should be noted that recently, due to the intensification of national-cultural and economic contacts, a great number of words (including national-specific realities) from the Chinese language have been penetrating into the Russian language, which requires separate linguistic research.

Features of L.E. Ulitskaya's idiosyncrasy and the problem of its interlanguage transmission (based on the material of originals and translations into English of L.E. Ulitskaya's works "Medea and her Children", "Daniel Stein, translator")

The purpose of the study is to consider various definitions and approaches to the concept of idiostyle. To identify and describe the characteristic features of the idiostyle of L.E. Ulitskaya's works "Medea and her Children", "Daniel Stein, translator", as well as to compare the original texts of the novels with their translation and determine whether the idiostyle is preserved when translating these works of L.E. Ulitskaya into English. To analyze which translation techniques were used to convey the idiostyle. The purpose of the study identified the following tasks: firstly, to define the concepts of idiostyle and idiolect; secondly, to consider the difference between the concepts of idiostyle and idiolect; thirdly, to identify the features that form the idiostyle of L.E.Ulitskaya; fourthly, to consider the features of translation, the elements that form the idiostyle. The subject of the study is the idiosyncrasy and the features that form the idiosyncrasy of the works under consideration. The object of the analysis is the semantic means and grammatical structures that form the idiostyle, and the features of their translation into English. The comparative method allows us to determine whether national cultural components are preserved in translation, whether the phrases of greeting and farewell in letters change, whether the realities of Russian culture are conveyed in the texts of translations. The method of contextual analysis consists in the study of fragments of novels, and in the study of the functional specificity of words in the context used. The scientific novelty lies in the identification of idiosyncratic features based on the comparison of L.E. Ulitskaya's novels "Medea and her Children", "Daniel Stein, translator". The theoretical and practical significance is due to the possibility of applying the research results and conclusions in further development of issues of preserving idiostyle in translation, determining the content of lectures and practical classes in stylistics, linguoculturology, as well as in the construction of courses "Linguistic text analysis" and "Theory and practice of translation". As a result of the research, the most striking elements that form the idiosyncrasy of L.E.Ulitskaya were identified, namely: the use of proper names in the titles of novels, as well as letters in the texts of works, the use of phrases of greeting and farewell, rhetorical questions, anthroponyms, metaphors, repetitions.

«DOVBUSH», «MAZEPA», «PETLURA», «BUKOVYNA», «DNISTER», «KOLOS»: THE NAMES OF BUKOVYN’S FOOTBALL TEAMS IN THE XX–XXI CENTURIES

The article presents the names of Ukrainian football teams over the century-long history of the development of football in Bukovyna. The object of analysis in the study was the nominations of Bukovyna teams, starting from the 20s of the 20th century and until now. The subject of analysis is the motivational base and methods of creating the names of Bukovyna football teams in the 20–21th centuries. The sources of factual material in the investigation were Ukrainian periodicals, primarily sports, and the works of sports historians on the development of football in Bukovyna. The motivation of the names of football teams was analyzed, and they were differentiated into homonymous and appellative names. The political and social and cultural factors of naming tendencies that dominated in different periods of football development are traced. It was found that in the 20–30s of the 20th century, when the Bukovyna lands were part of Romania, and the Ukrainians of Bukovyna tried to demonstrate their national identity in various ways, the names of football clubs in these areas reflected associations with cultural, historical, geographical realities of Ukraine. Along with the names motivated by toponyms, hydronyms, oronyms, nominations of Ukrainian organizations and unions, names of persons by profession, many names came from anthroponyms – Dovbush, Karmelyuk, Gonta, Zaliznyak, Doroshenko, Mazepa, Petlyura, which was a notable feature of Bukovyna football naming. In the 40–80s of the 20th century the share of football team names with a nationalcultural component in meaning has noticeably decreased (Bukovyna, Karpaty, Cheremosh), instead, unified nominations have appeared with Soviet realities and symbols of communist ideology reflected in them. During this period, club names derived from the names of all-Union sports associations, ergonims, names of persons by profession, names of enterprise products, and ideological names (Kolos, Legmash) dominated. In the period after the restoration of Ukrainian independence, the number of nominations with ethnоcultural connotations increased, a small percentage of names formed in the times of totalitarianism were preserved, and under the influence of the commercialization of sports, names that duplicate the names of organizations that finance football clubs and eclectic nominations, which combined Soviet team names with the names of their sponsors (Farmer, RA-DENT, Kolos-Maya, Zarinok-Drim-Tim). The prospects of the research are to identify trends in the naming of football clubs in different Ukrainian regions.

BAHASA DALAM KELUARGA MELAYU DI BANSIR DARAT, PONTIANAK

In Indonesia there are several ethnic groups and national cultures. Management must be aware of the unique culture of each ethnic group in order to apply it more effectively and skillfully in the home environment. Malay culture and ethnicity, which is the largest ethnic group in Indonesia, is the focus of this study. The national cultural component is used to differentiate cultural variants among diverse ethnic groups. To form an effective family, communication is interaction that occurs in groups, especially in family interactions where a child is expected to understand and follow the directions of his parents. Similarly, parents must provide a good education to their children. In order to obtain data sources for this study, a family residing in Indonesia—specifically, West Kalimantan in Pontianak City—was interviewed and observed. This interview was conducted using particular questions on language and ethnicity. It is obvious that the responses to the questions will depend on how well the study subjects—namely, the two family members—understand them. Second, there is mutual understanding among Malay family members, wherein family members may mold personalities. These two factors together help produce a tranquil home atmosphere where children can be more readily overseen by parents in their growth. Third, communication between family members using Malay is done for harmony, with parents recognizing the problems and sentiments of children as well as parents' hectic schedules.

The Study of the Features of the Most Usable Russian and English Phrases in the Armenian Classroom

Key words: linguo-culture, methodological approach, interactive method of teaching, phraseological semantics, language environment, linguistic image of the world, set of meanings This given article is dedicated to the study analysis of Russian and English phrases from semantic and linguo-cultural perspectives. Through the methods of selection, description, coordination and comparison we’ve observed the semantics of the most usable Russian and English phrases and offered approaches for their study by the first-year students of the «English language and literature» Department. The article presents the most applied phrasal units, their general and specific features. We’ve analyzed a number of phrases, the meanings of which contain national-cultural components. Having studied the subject matter in depth, we realized that phrases not only represent a linguistic means of expressing the concrete culture and national mentality, but also participate in the formation of the world perception of the given language – bearing people. The study of phrases of different languages necessarily reveals the very common thing that unites peoples, their national ideas, which is conditioned by the historical experience of a specific ethno-cultural community. Having analyzed the whole material, we came to the conclusion that generalized knowledge about the language is a mandatory condition for universal knowledge, without which it’s quite impossible to study any language, especially in the case when there is no specific language environment. The facts and linguistic structures presented in the article, in our deep conviction, can become a possible basis for the study of phraseological systems and units of different languages.

English Political Neologisms: From Semantics to Pragmatics of Usage

The article is concerned with linguistic means of political discourse as one of the forms of communicative interaction in society. The general notion of discourse with respect to thematic, socio-psychological and functional approaches is considered, the notion of political discourse as a specific use of communication aimed at retention of political power is also analyzed. A supposition about the importance of person-centered approach in the process of interaction between public authority and members of the society within the media landscape is made, in particular, while using social networks, creating an illusion of intimacy and targeted communication of a politician with a member of potential electorate. Modern political communication is not so much based on topic-oriented language system as is determined by emotional stylistic format clearly seen in the choice of original linguistic means. In order to analyze linguistic material, a number of methods have been used: the method of componential analysis, contextual analysis and intent analysis in combination with personological approach to the estimation of politicians’ personalities and their professional activities, which made it possible to determine the specificity of cultural-situational functioning of neologisms in media. The analysis of political neologisms from the point of view of their semantics with the emphasis on evaluative and national-cultural components of connotative meaning as well as the linguopragmatic effect of their usage seems to be high on the agenda. The introduction of neologisms gives prominence and a certain competitive advantage to speakers thanks to creating an expressive effect and the consequent imprinting of neologisms in the linguocognitive worldview of recipients. Two groups of neologisms with explicitly (containing related semantic components of meaning) and implicitly (on the base of extralinguistic factors) expressed negative evaluation have been distinguished: socio-political neologisms and personological political neologisms. It is stated that political neologisms obtain stimulating and manipulative potential and can not only serve as triggers to social activity but can also be a means of manipulation with the purpose of reinforcing cognitive stereotypes. Personological slang neonominations are notable for significant stability of referential meaning, high frequency of usage due to simplicity of word form and easiness of memory retention since they often reflect common value orientations of ordinary carriers of mass consciousness.

Means of expressing perception in the writer’s idiostyle: Mikhail Prishvin

Numerous research studies have acknowledged this essential function. For example, they have emphasised the importance of maximising employees' contributions to the business's aims and goals in order to maintain effective performance. Employees are a costly and precious resource. Companies that place a high priority on shareholders and customer satisfaction value employee development because they acknowledge the significance of training initiatives. The productivity is increased by the numerous training and development programmes offered by IT companies to their employees. The goal the current study seeks to look at the various theoretical models together with frameworks connected to workforce development through training and development programmes and their effects on employee performance. The current paper provides a succinct assessment of the research on the value of training and how it boosts worker performance. Methodology: The IBEF report on the information technology industry, yearly reports from particular IT companies, journal articles in Google Scholar, media, and business websites are used as secondary sources of data to achieve the paper's goal. In this article, Kurban Muhammadriza’s artistically and ideologically deep work “Omonat tuhfa” calls to see the human race again and calls to look at the events in the world with a direct control will help. It is revealed that a hint of what actually lies at the root of the unrest that may exist in some parts of the world is embedded in the content of the work. The war started by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has a civilizational character, it is a confrontation between European and Eurasian civilizations. The war gave impetus to global changes in the world geopolitical and geoeconomic order. The world is becoming bipolar - the USA and China will lead their respective poles, which represent democracy and autocracy. In order to occupy a worthy place in this new world, Ukraine must be reborn in the European quality of its political, social and economic life. It was determined that economic revival requires, first of all, the reproduction of the country's human and social capital, adequate to European values. The cultural phenomenon of the nation as the basis for their reproduction is substantiated. Education as a component of national culture is of crucial importance in the formation of high-quality human and social capital. The state of higher and vocational education is analyzed, the main directions of its reformation in the context of post-war development of the state are determined. It was established that Ukraine should actively reproduce its social capital as the ability of citizens to take collective action in order to achieve the common goal of joining the EU and NATO. To this end, the state must create conditions for forming a high level of trust between citizens as well as citizens’ trust in state structures. It was substantiated that this calls for a new structure and content of state administration, the main element of which should be the minimum possible level of centralized decision-making and management of decision implementation. It was proved that information policy, which aims to convince the world that Ukraine is potentially important subject of international economic and political relations, is important for stimulating the revival of Ukraine.

Motives for Choosing Higher Education at Academic Institutions in Two Countries, Syria and Israel: The Perspectives of Druze from the Golan Heights

The present study focuses on the perspectives of adult Druze from the Golan Heights regarding their motives for studying for a bachelor's degree in Syria and then going on for an advanced degree or internship in Israel. The study is phenomenological, based on interviews with 15 Druze students living in the Golan Heights, graduates of two academic institutions located in the two countries. The interviews were analyzed by identifying themes based on grounded theory principles. The findings indicate that the choice of higher education among the Druze is based on pragmatic considerations that emphasize higher education as an essential means of social and economic mobility alongside personal development and self-fulfillment. The choice of a specific country – Syria or Israel – is usually based on instrumental considerations that are logistical, academic, and economic. However, the choice of Syria as a specific destination is also based on a national cultural component. The study offers a look at minority education from the perspective of a unique group within Druze society and provides an understanding of minority students’ experiences as the basis for policies that support the academic choices of this population.

CHINESE AND JAPANESE PHRASEOLOGISMS: A COMPARATIVE ASPECT

The article is devoted to the study of the phraseological fund of the Chinese and Japanese languages, in particular to the comparative analysis of phraseological units from the point of view of their form, structure, features of drawing hieroglyphic signs, semantics and national-cultural components contained in them. The national-cultural specificity of the Chinese and Japanese phraseology is closely related to the characteristic features of the people’s consciousness, the relationship between the language and thinking, the language and culture, therefore the main research approach is primarily comparative, linguistic and cultural. The work examines the development of the Chinese language and culture on the formation and development of the phraseological system of the Japanese language, outlines the relationship between the Chinese and the Japanese idioms. A comparison of the forms of drawing hieroglyphs represents changes in the writing systems of the Chinese and Japanese languages, caused by the historical processes of the development of both languages. The diversity of language habits is reflected in the change in the order of words in a phraseological unit in the Japanese language while preserving the original meaning of the Chinese original source. A number of Japanese idioms borrowed from the Chinese language demonstrate the process of adaptation to the features of the Japanese language, which is determined by the change of certain components in the structure of the phraseology. Despite the close ties and borrowing of elements of the Chinese language and culture, the Japanese language has created its own, purely Japanese, phraseological units that contain national and cultural components that reproduce elements of the people’s lifestyle, customs and historical facts. The composition, structure, national and cultural connotation of the actual Japanese idioms distinguish them from idioms built with the norms of the wenyan, the classical Chinese language. They came from the Chinese language and then became entrenched in the language and consciousness of the Japanese people.

A Brief Description of Samara Ergonyms

The purpose of the article is to consider a specific group of ergonyms associated with the re­gional culture, history, development, and geolocation of the Samara region. The article is aimed at finding out the main characteristic features of the names of enterprises and organizations (ergonyms) in Samara.
 The author uses descriptive comparative method. To provide the material and examples of ergonym, the methods of association, links and semantic map are used.
 The provided description makes us think that the regional peculiarities of ergonyms are an essential part of the national-cultural component. It can be realized with the help of the realities associated with geolocation or specific features of the social, cultural, historical, ethnic development of a state and nation as a whole. It can be concluded that modern trends affect the ergonymic space of a city and its ergonymicon. The national-territorial component is capable of performing a parole function. There are certain ergonymic models associated with territorial identity, including abbreviations and acronyms, as well as contaminations of different types.
 The analysis and the study results of Samara ergonyms are supposed to be a valuable material for investigation of proper names of enterprises, institution, firms etc. There are further prospects for studying a number of onomastic issues. The study results can be useful in solving brand and rebrand problems.

A Socio-Cultural Study of Face and Politeness Conceptions in the Kazakh Context

This study investigates the issues related to some aspects of the Kazakh concept of face and politeness, the perceptions of politeness, and politeness and impoliteness strategies. The principal means and mechanism guide and predetermines the social conduct that guarantees the harmony of the relationships between people. Kazakh politeness, as part of people’s communicative behavior, is a component of national culture and is governed by national customs and traditions based on deep historical roots. Historically nomadic, the Kazakhs had to develop a pattern of interaction rules within the community and outside that helped them to adapt successfully to the harsh conditions of the steppe. The only guarantee to successfully survive in the vast steppe, arid nature, and nomadic way of life was to maintain benevolent relations between people and, at any expense, prevent conflict and aggressive situations. An online survey was conducted in which 100 first-year al-Farabi university students participated. The survey data obtained provided valuable insight into the young people’s beliefs about politeness and impoliteness and how the concept of politeness affects their moral values and shapes their ethnocultural behavior in modern times. The respondents’ answers showed a surprising uniformity in defining the politeness principles in the Kazakh context. With Kazakh young people, politeness is nestled in respecting others, especially older adults, appropriate behavior, maintaining smooth and harmonious interpersonal relations, good manners, and adhering to societal rules and norms.

NATIONALAND CULTURAL COMPONENT OF TURKISH LINGUAL PICTURE OF THE WORLD IN THE UKRAINIAN LINGUOCULTURAL SPACE (in the translations of Turkish prosaic texts)

Introduction. The study of national and lingual picture of the world remains topical for linguistic studies. This kind of investigation involves the integrated, systematic approach to the analysis of language phenomena, taking into account the data of various branches of knowledge (history, sociology, cultural studies, religious studies, ethnography), carried out inthe context of anthropocentric facet. National-cultural component reflects the specific of the Turkish worldview. The problems of maintenance of the nationally cultural component (national and cultural specifics, connotation, differences in the word associations etc.) are investigated.Purpose. The paper aims at analyzing the specific features of the national-cultural components in Turkish lingual picture of the world actualized in the Ukrainian linguocultural space.Methods. The given research is based on the descriptive method, which includes observation, generalization, and typology of the factual material, a contrastive analysis.Results. Author’s definition of “national and cultural components” is given. The main lexical-thematic groups with national-cultural component of the Turkish lingual picture of the world and of the Ukrainian language picture of the world are determined. The variants of their translation into the Ukrainian language are interpreted. The level of openness of thesethematic groups to substitutions is determined.Conclusion. The Turkish and Ukrainian lingual pictures of the world are not isomorphic due to many reasons (extralinguistic and intralinguistic factors). There are many thematic groups with the national-cultural information (religion, traditions, clothes, meals and drinks, musical instruments, dances, games etc.). The level of openness of these thematic groups to substitutions is very different according to the national and cultural information, intentions of the translator.The translator must preserve the specifics of another cultural space without overloading the text by unrecognizable to the Ukrainian reader realities and without changing the register of the narrative.
