One of the important themes of property rights in which the Qur'an provides the position of property rights, both how to obtain property rights, maintain property rights and distribute wealth that has been syarized. This paper aims to reveal the role of the Qur'an in maintaining property rights and distributing property so as to create a balance of property. The method used in the research is descriptive qualitative and tafsir approach from the language of the verse in the Qur'an relating to maintaining property rights and distributing wealth. This study confirms that the Qur'an teaches Muslims to acquire wealth in a halal way, use it wisely, and fulfill social responsibilities. The application of the concept of the balance of wealth in the Quran in the economic life of modern Muslims can create an economy that is fair, sustainable, and brings blessings to individuals and society.

Al-Qur’an dan Worldview Keagamaan Baru (Holistik, Rekonsiliatif, dan Mediatif)

The Qur'an, as the last revelation revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW, has a very wide role in the lives of Muslims. Apart from being a guideline for worship, the Qur'an also serves as a source of law, ethics, and guidance in living social, political, and cultural life. Along with the development of the times and the complexity of global problems, there is a need to understand the Qur'an through a new religious worldview that is more holistic, reconciliatory, and mediating. A holistic approach integrates the teachings of the Qur'an in all aspects of life, including morality, social, political, and ecological. The reconciliation approach aims to promote peace and conflict resolution both between individuals and between religious communities, prioritizing the values of tolerance and harmony. Meanwhile, the mediation approach directs the Qur'an as a bridge that connects differences, both in the internal context of Muslims and in dialogue between religious communities. This research aims to explore and analyze these three approaches in order to provide new insights in interpreting the teachings of the Qur'an in the era of globalization and plurality. With this approach, it is hoped that the Qur'an can contribute to creating a more peaceful, just, and harmonious world, as well as relevant in facing the challenges of the times.

The political power of Muslim social capital in Europe and North America

ABSTRACT The social lives of Muslims living in the West are often regarded with suspicion, based on the assumption that social embeddedness within a Muslim community compromises more widespread integration and social cohesion. This article tests these claims by examining the relationship between Muslim social capital and political participation. Using original data from 2,341 Muslims in Canada, France, Germany, the UK, and the US, it finds that Muslim structural, cognitive, and civic social capital all support political participation. Within structural capital, both bonding and bridging networks are positively associated with mainstream political activities, but bonding networks predict protest activities. Very few indicators of social capital share a negative relationship with participation, and the two that do (trust in the government, size of close friend group) only suppress protest, which may suggest that they capture civic satisfaction. There are some national-level differences in political participation after controlling for other variables, but not many, suggesting similar mechanisms mobilize and facilitate Muslim political participation across national contexts. These findings should be a relief those who are concerned that Muslim networks are encouraging withdrawal.

Analysis Of Al-Qur'an And Hadith Materials as A Guide Of Life

The Qur'an and Hadith are human guidelines, especially the Muslim, which have been left by Rasullullah SAW to all his ummah. The Qur'an is the word of God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW, as a guide for humanity in organising their lives, in order to obtain happiness physically and mentally both in the world and in the hereafter. Moving on from this, in this study the author wants to analyse the material of the Qur'an and Hadith as a guide to life. The research method used is a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. Where the main source is the Al-Qur'an Hadith Textbook for Madrasah Tsanawiyah published by the Ministry of Religion. After analysing the author found three subthemes in the textbook, including: 1) Understanding the Qur'an and Hadith as a guide to Muslim life, 2) The function of the Qur'an and Hadith as a guide to life, 3) The position of the Qur'an and Hadith as a guide to life. Furthermore, the author hopes that through this research new ideas will emerge for further research.

Women Human Rights in Bangladesh: An Analysis

Bangladesh is a Muslim dominated country. Many of the Muslims are practicing Muslims. Islam has influence on the life of Muslims and many aspects of women human rights are influenced by Islam. Marriages, divorce, maintenance of wife, inheritance are regulated by Islamic laws. Some other aspects are regulated by secular laws. Bangladesh is signatory to many International conventions and declarations regarding women human rights. So Bangladesh women human rights are emanated from Islamic sharia laws, Bangladesh constitution, policies of the government and international declarations and conventions. In many respects women human rights in Islam and the rights emanate from secular sources are consistent with minor inconsistency where Bangladesh has made reservation. But the problem is that these rights are not observed properly. Local cultures have significant influence on the non-observance of women human rights in Bangladesh. As many of us are Muslims and we observe women human rights in Islam, it will uphold women rights in Bangladesh.

ISLAMIC AND CHRISTIAN WORK ETHICS: AN ANALYSIS

Various scholars have been inspired by ethics and value systems across the centuries. However, conversations on such topics – especially in academia – have been conducted from a Judeo-Christian perspective, without giving much attention to other systems of thought. Thus, we argue that the Islamic view of ethical consideration and work needs to be explored more. This article explores the notion of Islamic work ethics, and its dimensions in contrast to Christian work ethics. This study contributes towards removing any misconceptions of Islamic work ethics and to clearly understand the Islamic view of work ethics and its implementation. Findings revealed that the notion of work ethics, as generally understood, is specifically related to work only. However, work ethics in Islam is an essential constituent of a typical Muslim's life, which is part of the Islamic tradition. Islamic work ethics is not only related to work but is equally applicable in all fields of life, irrespective of religious beliefs.

The Development of State Forms and Their Function in the Political Islamic Mind

This paper discusses an important issue in political philosophy. Despite its historicity, it has current extensions, which gives it importance and value that does not become obsolete, whether in terms of scientific research, or even in terms of its impact on the lives of Muslims, whether in the past, present, and even in the future. By this, we mean the forms or manifestations that the state has taken in terms of theorizing and representation of the Islamic political mind, starting with the Prophetic state, passing through the various manifestations of the traditional state, Its components: Sunni and Shiite. There is no doubt that its dangerous effects on the lives of Muslims require reunderstanding it, as it is compatible with the spirit of the times on the one hand, and the realities of Islam and its political experiences on the other hand, which leads to questions about the nature of this state and its function, far from ideal perceptions, which do not exist. Except in the minds of its owners, and not in the perspective of the Islamic political mind, which was formed through important historical stations, drawing on internal and external experiences. Therefore, this paper seeks to raise a major question related to the way in which the state manifested itself in the Islamic political mind, and its relationship to its basic reference represented by Islam, and the extent of its compatibility with human experiences, whether those that preceded it or contemporaneous it.

Educational Values Derived from the Scenes of Intercession and Accountability: Educational Applications from an Islamic Perspective

The study aimed to derive educational values from the scenes of intercession and accountability, extract educational applications of these values, and propose a training program for their development within the family institution. The study employed both descriptive and deductive methodologies, ultimately concluding with several key findings. Chief among these is that divine revelation represents the primary reference framework for Islamic educational values, from which their characteristics, importance, and components are derived. These values encompass a diversity of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral elements, touching on all aspects of a Muslim's life. The study highlighted the importance of implementing these values through a proposed, structured training program designed to foster them within the family. It further recommended conducting experimental research to measure the effectiveness of the training program within the family setting, assess its ability to meet family needs in instilling and nurturing values, and encourage family training and consulting centers to consider implementing it.

Institutionalization of Peace And Justice in Yassawi Sufi Identity: A Value Context for Postnormal Times

Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the ideas of Yassawi Sufism in the context of sustainable development of cultural identity in the Islamic World in the postnormal era, with the aim of the analysis of key aspects of Yassawi teachings that contribute contribute to the achievement of the SDGs by institutionalizing just and inclusive societies and creating an equal environment, as well as to the formation of social cohesion and mutual understanding among different cultures. Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework of the interdisciplinary study of Sufism was formed by the historical-philosophical, theological, Islamic studies, cultural-anthropological fields of knowledge. Methodology: The methodology adopted for this research comprises the method of historical reconstruction, the method of the unity of the historical and logical, the methodology of actualization, hermeneutic analysis, Islamic hermeneutics and Islamic phenomenology. Results: The results obtained revealed that Yassawi Sufism not only enriches the spiritual life of Muslims, but also serves as an important tool for preserving cultural identity during the rapid transformations of post-normality. Theoretical implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research is determined by the role that the principles of sustainable development play in the creation of sustainable communities whose cultural heritage integrates the Yasawi worldview. Study contributes: This study contributes to the literature by revealing the role of the Yasawi Sufi worldview in the preservation and development of sustainable societies with traditional cultural identity that meets the standards of the postnormal period. The problematization of the axiological norms of Sufism carries the potential for the habitualization of social equality, the formation of peaceful inclusive societies and strong institutions, which confirms the relevance and value of this study.

A Historical Perspective Through the Lens of the Islamic City Theory: Konya Example

The concept of the Islamic city elucidates the spatial structures specific to Islam religion and civilization, deeply influencing the lives of Muslims. Despite geographical, ethnic, and cultural diversities, it has been observed that the fundamental influence of the religion shaped similar urban formations in the Islamic geography. A key determining factor in the transition from traditional bedouin tribal life to urban civilization is the need for more suitable settlements to meet the multifaceted requirements and rituals of Islam. Societies embracing Islam have restructured their ways of life, with mosques becoming centers of worship, simultaneously reshaping legal, administrative, educational, and commercial structures, thereby becoming central to urban life. Islamic cities, reaching their zenith during the Golden Age of Islam, gradually weakened over time during the processes of modernization/secularization, with the rise of rational/bureaucratic powers diminishing their role as the primary shaping force of space. Konya, representing the characteristics of the Islamic city during the Seljuk and Ottoman Empires, underwent significant transformations approaching the modern era, affecting its physical, social, economic, and administrative fabric. Particularly in the Republican era, the Islamic city features were sidelined due to modernist spatial shaping, but have recently regained importance with the emergence of Islamic political movements and approaches by National Vision (Milli Görüş) municipalities. This study examines the Islamic city from a historical perspective, highlighting common characteristics of Islamic cities worldwide, scrutinizing the erosive effects of secularization/modernization trends on the Islamic city, specifically focusing on Konya, and finally evaluating recent revitalization policies directed towards the Islamic city in Konya.

Islamic life and death in Australia, after 1890: The archaeology of cameleer burials

Among the best-preserved, prominent, and most diagnostic archaeological artefacts of the camel transport industry from the period after ∼1890 in Australia are the graves of Muslim cameleers that can be found across the continent, from a single grave at the most isolated site to cemeteries in capital cities. They tell a story—directly from the cameleers—that usually cannot be read from other evidence. These graves vary from the simplest tumuli in remote areas that conform with the strictest Islamic ideals to complex graves with a superstructure, headstone and a detailed epitaph. English may be used in epitaphs with or without Arabic or Dari, and less commonly we see Arabic or Dari with no English. This makes it clear that Muslim epitaphs were not solely addressing other Muslims. In many cases, the name, date and origin of the interred individual remains unknown, and this prevents more detailed interpretation. In other cases, graves with greater complexity may include passages from the Quran, and there are even some epitaphs that give great personal details of Muslim life in Australia. Such detail includes divisions between tribes and Islamic sects. Major deviations from correct Islamic grave orientation in two cemeteries cannot be convincingly explained, but these suggest another case of diversity in the tribal and sect affiliation of these individuals. Burials of these Muslims restored in the late twentieth century are no longer solely religious monuments but are also socially motivated in a more diverse and integrated Australia. There are several indicators by which the graves of Muslims can be identified, but they may also overlap with Christian graves in other elements of style. These indicators tie burial practices to Islam in Asia. Finally, orientation relative to the qiblah is not invariably diagnostic.

The Impact of Education Management Systems on the Success of Implementing Islamic Curriculum in Indonesian Higher Education Institutions

Islamic education is equally important in a Muslim's life as any other level of education. To assess the successful inclusion of Islamic education in Indonesian higher education institutes, this study looked into the successful execution of the Islamic education curriculum via the education management system. The study used a qualitative research approach, with higher education institutes inside Indonesia's demographic boundaries being investigated and data collected. Semi-structured interviews were used to obtain data from higher authorities and administrative workers who interact with the Islamic curriculum in higher education establishments. The data was analysed using thematic analysis, which resulted in various themes indicating several potential constructs that defined the successful implementation of the Islamic education curriculum, such as systematic approaches, cultural alignment, structured decision making, agile response systems, and so on. The contributions, limits, and future ideas are discussed in the peripheral portions of the study.

Written in Arabic, the Qur'an is considered the greatest miracle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, renowned for the beauty of its language and the depth of its content. The Qur'an functions as a perfect and eternal guide for the lives of Muslims and the Hadith is a collection of the words, actions and agreements of the Prophet Muhammad SAW conveyed by his companions. Hadith complement the Qur'an by providing detailed explanations of the teachings contained therein. Hadith are categorized based on their authenticity into sahih (authentic), hasan (good), dhaif (weak), and maudhu' (false). The collection and verification of hadiths was carried out by scholars such as Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, who ensured the reliability and authenticity of the hadiths.

Ushul Fiqh provides the theoretical foundation, methodology and principles of interpretation, while Fiqh provides practical implementation in issuing Islamic laws. This relationship plays an important role in understanding, establishing, and implementing Islamic laws in the daily lives of Muslims.

Guiding the Pious Self: Morality and Affect in Muslim Instructional YouTube Videos

Abstract Based on a discourse analysis of German-language YouTube videos that attempt to instruct their audiences in Islamic practice, the article examines the interplay of moral statements and audiovisual elements in religious web videos. YouTube constitutes an affective space for the promotion of normative Islamic models of gendered subjectivity that instruct how to understand and guide oneself. Considering the tensions in the lives of young Muslims in the German context, the videos offer clear notions of gendered Muslim morality within an arrangement of discursive and affective elements that draw on both Islamic oratory and elements of secular popular culture. On a linguistic level, producers address their audiences as immoral subjects alienated from a divine order and call for a self-transformation towards piety. At the audiovisual level, discursive statements are entangled with a fluctuating stream of affective intensities that have the potential to charge moral codes with aesthetic legitimacy and attach viewers to gender norms.

Features of the methodological views of Rizaetdin Fakhretdinov (1859-1936) on the concept of ijma‘

This article is devoted to the study of the nature and essence of one of the fundamental sources of Islamic Law - ijma‘ in the methodological views of the Qadi and the Mufti of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Rizaetdin Fakhretdinov (1859-1936). The conceptual features of Fakhretdinov’s characteristic views on the nature of ijma‘, its essence, the conditions of its emergence and the specifics of its practical adaptation allowed him to raise important questions regarding the competence of participants making a consolidated decision, the categoricalness and duration of the legal force of such decisions. His views on the institutionalization of ijma‘ may indicate the presence of regional competence of ijma‘ representatives. The study of ijma‘ was carried out on the basis of an analysis of Fakhretdinov’s views with the views of classical methodologists (usuliyyun), during which the author attempts to substantiate them within the framework of Hanafi methodological thought. The article is intended to make a modest contribution to the study of the nature of ijma‘ and its role in the religious and legal life of Muslims. The nature of the article is also on rethinking the assessment of the classical heritage of fiqh, the development of a critical and practice-oriented approach in individual and collegial forms of the methodology of fatwa creation. Moreover, the paper means to attract the attention of modern researchers in the field of methodology to these issues within the Islamic Law.

Representation of Shia Muslim life in Contemporary German Society (Hamburg Case Study)

"Representation of Shia Muslim Life in Germany" is a cultural anthropological study on the religiosity of Hamburgian Shias. Using the qualitative method of sensory autoethnography, the researcher describes and analyzes his lived experiences and attempts to clarify how religion is embodied in the face of tradition and modernity. The results of the study indicate the cultural resilience of Shias in a spectrum of pluralism in the new ecosystem.

The Development of an Inclusive Social Science Based Contextual Interpretation Model: A New Approach to Address Contemporary Challenges in Quranic Studies

This research aims to develop a contextual interpretation model that connects Quranic studies with social sciences to ensure the Quran's relevance in addressing contemporary social challenges. This study employs a qualitative method using a library research model. The findings show that through an interdisciplinary approach, the integration of Quranic teachings with modern social, cultural, political, and economic realities can be achieved. This contextual interpretation approach emphasizes not only a literal understanding but also an analysis of the historical and social contexts surrounding the revelation. The study highlights the importance of the maqashidy approach, which focuses on the objectives of Sharia, as a framework for interpreting the Quran to ensure its teachings remain relevant to issues such as social justice, gender equality, and human rights. Furthermore, the findings indicate that the contextual interpretation model provides a more applicable and dynamic understanding of the Quran, ensuring that its messages remain relevant and can be applied in the lives of Muslims in the modern era.
