The aim of this article is to examine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the professional and personal aspects of composers and musicians’ lives, the changes and shifts brought by the COVID-19 in their financial status, consistency of work and sense of accomplishment. The researched set of data based on profound analysis of statistics confirm the heightened susceptibility of the classical music industry to the dramatically turnaround reflected in closing concert venues, isolating musicians not only socially, but also financially. This phenomenon also determined major metamorphosis in musicians’ inspiration and motivation, their emotional experiences being severely damaged by the feelings of loneliness and uncertainty. While confronting disruptions in their creative processes, affected by the severe restrictions caused by the pandemic, musicians develop feelings of insecurity and fail to fulfil their essential psychological needs. Despite the faced obstacles, musicians found new ways of continuing to manifest their creativity. The information investigated in this article shows that up-to-date devices have permitted them to continue their artistic activities through online concerts and contribute to escalating the classical music consumption to unimaginable triumph.
