Making A Multi Purpose Liquid (Eco-Enzyme) as An Alternative for Prosesing Household Organic Waste and Reviewing Its Benefits

<p><em>This activity was conducted to increase public awareness and knowledge in managing household organic waste into eco-enzymes. Eco-enzyme is a natural liquid from the fermentation process of organic kitchen waste such as fruit and vegetable peels, granulated sugar (white sugar, brown sugar, or cane sugar), and water. The training activity was held at the home of the head of Gentan Hamlet, Doplang Village, Bawen Subdistrict, Semarang Regency on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with the training participants being women members of Dasawisma (Dawis). The activity was carried out using socialization and demonstration methods to facilitate participants' understanding of the material and the process of making eco-enzymes. Based on the evaluation results, the participants were very enthusiastic about learning new knowledge they did not know before. Participants learned about the technology of making eco-enzymes from household waste. In addition to creating a clean environment, the resulting eco-enzyme also provides various benefits for life.</em></p>

Rubber plants are one of the Multi Purpose Tree Species (MPTS) plants that have advantages for farmers. Rubber plants can be grown in agroforestry, as is the case with the Rumbio Village Farmers Group which grows rubber plants using the agroforestry system. The method used in this study is a survey method in the form of interviews with the help of questionnaires to the heads of farmer groups and farmers and field observations of Rubber Business Management for the next 25 years, the total profit is Rp. 3,741,203,000 with an average of Rp. 149,648.12 per year. In general, the rubber business that is feasible to be cultivated as an alternative to the main livelihood of farmers, while the results of the financial analysis are the Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp. 1,469,988,939, Value of Benefit Cost Ratio, which has a value of > 1 which is 2.25 The IRR calculation shows that rubber farming is feasible 15.84% 

Review of physics program at J-PET

The Jagiellonian - Positron Emission Tomograph (J-PET) is a multi purpose detector for tests of discrete symmetries and quantum entanglement of photons originating from the decay of positronium atoms. The research is per formed by measurement of angular correlations between photons from the an nihilations of the lightest leptonic bound system. The J-PET detector is the only device which enables determination of polarisation of photons from positronium annihilation together with estimation of positronium spin axis on the event-by-event basis. The novelty of the system is based on a usage of plastic scintil-lators as active detection material and trigger-less data acquisition system. The aim of two independent detection setups currently in use together with different annihilation chambers is to improve limits on C, CP and CPT symmetries and to search for the entanglement of photons originating from electron-positron annihilation. Additionally a precise measurement of ortho-positronium life time would allow to test of non-relativistic quantum electrodynamics and search for Mirror Matter.

Stochastic location models applied to multipurpose shopping trips

In a competitive multi-purpose (MP) trips model, it is assumed that the proportion of customers that do MP trips is given. In this paper, we investigate a model with a stochastic proportion of MP trips. Five decision analysis criteria are analyzed for finding the best location for a new facility under these circumstances. We first design a general approach that can be applied to many location problems. We then prove that by the optimistic rule, the solution is one of the extreme cases and construct solution algorithms to solve problems based on the other four rules optimally. The approach is demonstrated on the MP trips model. We performed computational experiments on instances between 100 and 20,000 demand points on five different models and two distance decay functions. The largest problem was solved within a given accuracy in about 8 h for the most time-consuming model. Our general approach can be applied to other location models (not necessarily competitive) when a parameter of such models is stochastic.

Solvation role of dimethyl sulfoxide on the interaction with dentin bonding systems after 30 months.

To determine whether DMSO could serve as an effective pretreatment to improve the mechanical properties and minimize the degradation of the adhesive interface, through the degree of conversion (DC) and bond strength to dentin of different categories of dentin bonding systems (DBSs) after 30 months. DMSO (0, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10vol%) were incorporated into four categories of DBSs: Adper Scotchbond Multipurpose (MP), Adper Single Bond 2 (SB), Clearfil SE Bond (CSE) and Adper Scotchbond Universal (SU). DC was evaluated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). For microtensile bond strength test (µTBS), 1 % DMSO were applied on dentin as pretreatment before DBSs. For SU, both strategies were tested. Specimens for µTBS were tested after 24h, 6 and 30 months. DC and µTBS data were subjected to two-way ANOVA and Tukey test (α<0.05). Incorporating 5 %/10 % DMSO increased the DC of CSE. Controversially, when combined with SU, 2 % and 10 % DMSO jeopardized the DC. Regarding µTBS, 1 % DMSO pre-treatment increased the bond strength for MP, SB, SU-ER and SU-SE. After 30 months, MP, SU-ER and SU-SE showed a decrease compared to baseline but remained higher than the control. DMSO pretreatment may be a useful strategy to improve the bond interface over time. Its incorporation seems to favor the non-solvated systems regarding DC while it seems to show long-term benefits for bond strength using 1 % DMSO for MP and SU systems.

AHP 기법을 이용한 Army TIGER 부대용 차륜형 장갑차의 화기 선정에 관한 기초 연구

The wheeled armored vehicle used by the AT units is about to improve its firearm for the application of the Army's future combat system. A study was conducted on the factors that should be included in ROC when selecting firearms for wheeled armored vehicles. When analyzing the elements, AHP was conducted based on the results of the survey on the expert group. The conclusions of the study were as follows. First, the hierarchy of importance that should be reflected in the ROC of armored vehicle firearms was in the order of 'firepower', 'accuracy', 'multi purpose', and 'operation sustainment' elements. The 'accuracy' and 'firepower' elements were approximately 2 to 3 times more important than the ‘multi purpose’ and 'operation sustainment' factors. Second, it was analyzed that ROC setting standards for firearms on next-generation wheeled armored vehicles should be set to enable automatic target identification and tracking functions, firing on the move, long effective range, and ammunition with deep penetration and wide killing radii. The results of this study can be used as important data for preparing ROC in policy departments of the Army, establishing R&D strategies for defense companies, and development of military power.

Fabrication of Multipurpose Agriculture Machine

Multipurpose agriculture equipment is basic and major equipment involved in agriculture for maximum yielding. Conventional method of planting and cultivating the crops is a laborious process and hence for that reason there is a scarcity of labours, this result in delayed agriculture to overcome these difficulties, multipurpose agriculture equipment is designed. The main objective of this project is sprayer and crop cutter. Our aim to produce highly efficient multi purpose agriculture machine which will reduce time, cost of labour, and enhances production. Presently, small land holding farmers use work bulls mostly for land preparation. Their use can be increased and made more economical by using them for other farm operations.

A High-Efficiency Side-Scan Sonar Simulator for High-Speed Seabed Mapping.

Side scan sonar (SSS) is a multi-purpose ocean sensing technology, but due to the complex engineering and variable underwater environment, its research process often faces many uncertain obstacles. A sonar simulator can provide reasonable research conditions for guiding development and fault diagnosis, by simulating the underwater acoustic propagation and sonar principle to restore the actual experimental scenarios. However, the current open-source sonar simulators gradually lag behind mainstream sonar technology; therefore, they cannot be of sufficient assistance, especially due to their low computational efficiency and unsuitable high-speed mapping simulation. This paper presents a sonar simulator based on a two-level network architecture, which has a flexible task scheduling system and extensible data interaction organization. The echo signal fitting algorithm proposes a polyline path model to accurately capture the propagation delay of the backscattered signal under high-speed motion deviation. The large-scale virtual seabed is the operational nemesis of the conventional sonar simulators; therefore, a modeling simplification algorithm based on a new energy function is developed to optimize the simulator efficiency. This paper arranges several seabed models to test the above simulation algorithms, and finally compares the actual experiment results to prove the application value of this sonar simulator.

Management of PDA device closure complicated by severe hemolysis by transcatheter retrieval and deployment of new device

BackgroundHemolysis after Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) device closure is rare. Although in most cases, hemolysis settles on its own; however, in some cases it may not settle spontaneously and may require additional procedures like putting additional coils, gel foam or thrombin instillation, balloon occlusion, or removing it surgically. We report a case of adult PDA device closure who persisted with hemolysis and was managed by transcatheter retrieval.Case presentationA 52-year-old gentleman presented to us with a diagnosis of large PDA with operable hemodynamics. Descending thoracic aortic Angio showed a large 11 mm PDA. Transcatheter device closure was done in the same sitting with a 16 × 14 Amplatzer Ductal Occluder I(ADO) device,;however, after device release, the aortic end of the device was not fully formed and there was residual flow. The next morning patient started with gross hematuria with persistent residual flow. We tried to manage with conservative means including hydration, and blood transfusion; however, residual flow persisted for 10 days and his hemoglobin dropped from 13 gm/dl preprocedural to 7 gm/dl, creatinine increased from 0.5 mg/dl to 1.9 mg/dl, bilirubin increased to 3.5 mg/dl & urine showed hemoglobinuria. As the patient continued to deteriorate it was planned to retrieve the device by transcatheter approach. 10 French amplatzer sheath was parked in the pulmonary artery near the ductus. We tried with a combination of multiple catheters and Gooseneck snare (10 mm) and finally, we successfully retrieved with a combination of Multipurpose (MP) catheter and 10 mm Gooseneck snare. After that, we closed the defect successfully with a double disk device (muscular Ventricular septal defect 14 mm Amplatzer). The patient’s hematuria settled and was discharged after 2 days with normal hemoglobin and creatinine.ConclusionsPatent ductus arteriosus ADO 1 device should not be released if the aortic end of the disk is not fully formed Patient should be carefully monitored for hemolysis if evidence of residual shunt and given supportive treatment. If conservative treatment fails, residual flow needs to be eliminated. Transcatheter retrieval although technically challenging is a feasible treatment. A muscular VSD device is a good alternative to the usual PDA device to close PDA, especially in adults.

Comparison of Ablation Performance between Octopus Multipurpose Electrode and Conventional Octopus Electrode.

To compare Octopus multipurpose (MP) electrodes, which are capable of saline instillation and direct tissue temperature measurement, and conventional electrodes for radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in porcine livers in vivo. Sixteen pigs were used in this study. In the first experiment, RFA was performed in the liver for 6 minutes using Octopus MP electrodes (n = 15 ablation zones) and conventional electrodes (n = 12 ablation zones) to investigate the effect of saline instillation. The ablation energy, electrical impedance, and ablation volume of the two electrodes were compared. In the second experiment, RFA was performed near the gallbladder (GB) and colon using Octopus MP electrodes (n = 12 ablation zones for each) with direct tissue temperature monitoring and conventional electrodes (n = 11 ablation zones for each). RFA was discontinued when the temperature increased to > 60℃ in the Octopus MP electrode group, whereas RFA was performed for a total of 6 minutes in the conventional electrode group. Thermal injury was assessed and compared between the two groups by pathological examination. In the first experiment, the ablation volume and total energy delivered in the Octopus MP electrode group were significantly larger than those in the conventional electrode group (15.7 ± 4.26 cm3 vs. 12.5 ± 2.14 cm3, p = 0.027; 5.48 ± 0.49 Kcal vs. 5.04 ± 0.49 Kcal, p = 0.029). In the second experiment, thermal injury to the GB and colon was less frequently noted in the Octopus MP electrode group than that in the conventional electrode group (16.7% [2/12] vs. 90.9% [10/11] for GB and 8.3% [1/12] vs. 90.9% [10/11] for colon, p < 0.001 for all). The total energy delivered around the GB (2.65 ± 1.07 Kcal vs. 5.04 ± 0.66 Kcal) and colon (2.58 ± 0.57 Kcal vs. 5.17 ± 0.90 Kcal) were significantly lower in the Octopus MP electrode group than that in the conventional electrode group (p < 0.001 for all). RFA using the Octopus MP electrodes induced a larger ablation volume and resulted in less thermal injury to the adjacent organs compared with conventional electrodes.

Lipids in a Nutshell: Quick Determination of Lipid Content in Hazelnuts with NIR Spectroscopy.

Hazelnuts (Corylus avellana L.) are among the most consumed dry fruits all over the world. Their commercial quality is defined, above all, by origin and dimension, as well as by lipid content. Evaluation of this parameter is currently performed with chemical methods, which are expensive, time consuming, and complex. In the present work, the near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, using both a benchtop research spectrometer and a retail handheld instrument, was evaluated in comparison with the traditional chemical approach. The lipid content of hazelnuts from different growing regions of origin (Italy, Chile, Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan) was determined with two NIR instruments: a benchtop FT-NIR spectrometer (Multi Purpose Analyser-MPA, by Bruker), equipped with an integrating sphere and an optic fibre probe, and the pocket-sized, battery-powered SCiO molecular sensor (by Consumer Physics). The Randall/Soxtec method was used as the reference measurement of total lipid content. The collected NIR spectra were inspected through multivariate data analysis. First, a Principal Component Analysis (PCA) model was built to explore the information contained in the spectral datasets. Then, a Partial Least Square (PLS) regression model was developed to predict the percentage of lipid content. PCA showed samples distributions that could be linked to their total crude fat content determined with the Randall/Soxtec method, confirming that a trend related to the lipid content could be detected in the spectral data, based on their chemical profiles. PLS models performed better with the MPA instrument than SCiO, with the highest R2 of prediction (R2PRED = 0.897) achieved by MPA probe, while this parameter for SCiO was much lower (R2PRED = 0.550). Further analyses are necessary to evaluate if more acquisitions may lead to better performances when using the SCiO portable spectrometer.

The Effectiveness Analysis of National Social Forestry Activities in Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi: A Case Study in Indonesia

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the National Social Forestry Development Activities and to determine the level of community satisfaction as well as the benefits of these activities on increasing forest product in Enrekang Regency. The target of the research is the Social Forestry Business Group which receives the Nusantara Forestry Development activities in 2019 – 2021. This study uses interviews with respondents using questionnaires and direct observation to the location. The measurement of the effectiveness value uses the Guttman Scale, while the level of community satisfaction uses the Likers Scale. The level of achievement of effectiveness is measured using standards that are in accordance with the R&amp;D reference of the Ministry of Home Affairs (1991). The results showed: (1) The value of the effectiveness of Kegiatan Perhutanan Sosial Nasionalin Enrekang Regency was 86.84% with an achievement level of "very effective", (2) The index value of the percentage level of community satisfaction with the implementation of Kegiatan Perhutanan Sosial Nasional in Enrekang Regency was 93,75 in the very satisfied category, (3) Activities that provide short-term benefits in the form of livestock yields and long-term benefits are Multi Purpose Tree Species (MPTS) plant assets and crop agroforestry that can be harvested in the next 5 years, which can increase yield production forest.

The role of solid plastic waste recycling operations in achieving sustainable development

Environmental issues have become at the forefront of international concern. Therefore, this concern has been reflected in most of the world’s policies through activating rational environmental policies to achieve sustainable development between the requirements of economic and social development, and the preservation of natural resources and ensuring their survival and preserving the right of future generations. The problem of the accumulation of solid plastic waste is one of the most difficult and complex problems in Egypt, because plastic materials are widely used as they are characterized by being of light weight, multi purpose, water resistant. This research aims to measure the impact of the recycling operations of solid plastic waste on the economy SWOT analysis for the year 2021.

Gamma Heating Evaluation of Silicide RSG-GAS Multipurpose Reactor

In research reactor, gamma heating deposited in the samples is an important issue because it is related to the samples and the reactor operational safety. Multi Purpose Reactor (MPR) 30 MWth or its called Reaktor Serba Guna G.A. Siwabessy (RSG-GAS) is a research reactor that play a role as a place to irradiate various target material type. RSG-GAS has been operating since 1987 and the last measurement of gamma heating in the core was conducted around twenty years ago in oxide core. In 1996, RSG-GAS core was converted from oxide fuel type to silicide fuel type. The purpose of the conversion are to improve the performance and efficiency of RSG-GAS. As part of RSG-GAS irradiation facilities safety analysis, the gamma heating measurement was re-conducted in order to obtain latest data as benchmark data in silicide core. This paper presents the results of gamma heating measurement of LEU silicide RSG-GAS core in Central Irradiation Position (CIP) at 15 MW and 30 MW power level using gamma calorimeter. There were four types of calorimeter used, which were calorimeter with graphite (C) sample, iron (Fe) sample, aluminum (Al) sample and zirconium (Zr) sample. Gamma heating calculations using GAMSET code were performed to verify the measurement results. The measurement results are lower than the GAMSET results and the gamma heating value increases in proportion to the increase of calorimeter sample atomic number. This results are corresponds to gamma heating benchmarking results of RSG-GAS oxide core. Several optimization efforts both measuring and modeling with GAMSET were conducted as an evaluation and justification of the results. The best optimization results are achieved using the maximum value of the measurement and adjusting the power peaking factor (PPF) distribution. The calculated gamma heating value optimization results at 15 MW power are 2.78 W/g (C sample), 2.74 W/g (Al sample), 3.36 W/g (Fe sample) and 4.60 W/g (Zr sample) while at 30 MW power level are 5.57 W/g (C sample), 5.49 W/g (Al sample), 6.75 W/g (Fe sample) and 9.23 W/g (Zr sample). The best optimization results serve as a benchmark data for developing new gamma heating calculation programs based on 18 gamma energy groups.

A 13 Gbps 1:16 deserializer ASIC for NICA multi purpose detector project

This paper presents the design and test results of a 13 Gbps 1:16 deserializer ASIC fabricated in a 55 nm CMOS technology for Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) Multi Purpose Detector (MPD) project. The deserializer would be used in the downlink data transmission of MPD readout system to recover the serial data from the back-end to the parallel data for the front-end. The ASIC adopts a tree-type structure, consisting of a high-speed data receiver (RXDATA), a high-speed clock receiver (RXCLK), four levels of demultiplexer (DEMUX) modules, clock dividers and 16 Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) drivers. The demultiplexer modules are composed of different numbers of high-speed DEMUX unit and low-speed DEMUX unit. The high-speed DEMUX unit and the high-frequency clock divider adopt an optimized compressed current mode logic (CML) differential structure to ensure the bandwidth with limited voltage headroom. The low-speed DEMUX unit and the low-frequency clock divider use CMOS latch to save power consumption. The duty cycle correction (DCC) circuit and the clock aligner are employed in the clock paths to ensure the correct duty cycle and aligned clock edges. In the chip test, the ASIC receives 13 Gbps serial data and outputs 16 channels of 812.5 Mbps data correctly with wide-open eye diagram. The tested power consumption is 203 mA with 1.2 V power supply including the RXDATA, the RXCLK and the 16 channels of LVDS drivers, and the core power consumption is 122.7 mA.

A 14 Gbps VCSEL driving ASIC in 55 nm for NICA multi purpose detector project

This paper presents the design and the test results of a 14 Gbps VCSEL driving ASIC with a novel output driver structure fabricated in a 55 nm CMOS process. It consists of an equalizer stage, a limiting amplifier stage and an output driver stage. The equalizer stage uses the CTLE structure to compensate the high frequency losses at the PCB traces, bonding wires and input pads. To meet both the gain/bandwidth requirements and the area restriction, the limiting amplifier stage adopts the inductor-shared peaking technology. To increase the voltage headroom of the output driver stage and improve the bandwidth, a novel output driver structure using the on-chip AC coupling, the stacked current source and the double feedforward compensation technique is proposed. This ASIC has been integrated with the VCSEL array in a customized optical module for the optical test. The test results show the wide-open 14 Gbps optical eye diagram with a measured RMS jitter of 2.7 ps and a peak-to-peak jitter of 17.4 ps, respectively.

Mother-in-Child Assisted Tracking (MiCAT): A Mechanical Technique to Overcome Severe Radial Artery Spasm.

Severe radial artery spasm (RAS) and tortuosity may hinder guide catheter advancement and manipulation, requiring the arterial access site to be changed. We describe the safety and the effectiveness of a technique designed to facilitate guide catheter advancement when faced with severe RAS. We present our single-center experience using a novel mother-in-child assisted tracking (MiCAT) technique used to overcome severe RAS and facilitate guide catheter advancement to the aortic root. The MiCAT system consists of a 125 cm 4-Fr multipurpose (MP) diagnostic catheter inserted inside and protruding beyond a guiding catheter. The entire system can be advanced as one over a .035˝ guidewire into the aortic root. Procedural success was defined as achievement of the intended procedure without switching to an alternative access site with no vascular complications. The MiCAT system was utilized in 22 (0.59%) out of 3392 patients who underwent angiography between October 2019 and January 2021, with severe RAS hindering advancement of a 6 Fr guiding catheter despite conventional pharmacological therapy. MiCAT was successfully achieved via the left (55%) and right (45%) radial access routes using different 6-Fr guiding catheters. Procedural success was 100% and no vascular access or arterial complications were observed. In our early experience, the MiCAT technique was a safe and effective strategy to facilitate guide catheter advancement.

Abstract: As we all know that in today's time of modernity, energy plays an important role, somewhere today we are getting almost every need of our energy in the form of electricity. And with this, today we generate 77% of electricity from coal power plants in India. According to the report of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, gross electricity consumption in 2019 was 1208 kWh per capita. From this data, we understand one thing that distribution of so much electricity in such a large population is a challenging task. Keep the production of your electricity in such a way that it is efficient in cost and does not harm the environment; whereas in today's time we do not get to see this, the environment is being polluted in the production of electricity, then in this paper proposal After reaching the root of this problem, we have proposed a new power plant, which is named Dry Ice Acetylene Power Plant (DIA Power Plant).
