Analysis of The Influence of Investment, Labor and Exports on The Economic Growth of Jambi Province

This research aims to describe and analyze: 1) The development of economic growth in Jambi Province; 2) The influence of investment, labor and exports on economic growth in Jambi Province for the period 2000-2021. The method used is multiple regression model analysis using the Error Correction Model (ECM) approach, using secondary data from 2000-2021. The research results show that: First, the development of economic growth in Jambi Province from 2000-2021 was 5.53 percent, although it experienced a decline in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the economy will pick up again, driven by increased production and export performance. Second, investment variables in the long term and short term have a positive and insignificant influence on economic growth in Jambi Province. The variable number of workers in Jambi Province has a negative and significant influence on the economic growth of Jambi Province, while in the short term it has a negative and insignificant influence on the economic growth of Jambi Province. The export variable has a positive and significant influence on economic growth in Jambi Province both in the long and short term.

Application of Business Information Management in Cross-border Real Estate Project Management

Cross-border real estate project management is inherently challenging due to its complexity and diversity. This study investigates the efficacy of business information management systems (BIMS) in managing such projects and employs machine learning models for performance prediction analysis. Utilizing data from 250 valid questionnaires and 15 in-depth interviews, multiple regression analysis, classification algorithms, and clustering analysis models were applied. The results indicate that system quality, information quality, and service quality significantly enhance project management efficiency and user satisfaction. Specifically, the adoption of BIMS reduces average project completion time and cost overrun rates, thereby improving management effectiveness. Commercial real estate projects reported the highest average investment at $70 million, mixed-use projects exhibited the longest average completion time of 25 months, and residential real estate projects achieved the highest management efficiency score, averaging 8.0. The regression model's coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.68, the classification model achieved an 85% accuracy in identifying risk factors, and clustering analysis categorized projects into high-efficiency management, risk-concentrated, and resource-intensive types. These findings underscore the substantial value of BIMS in cross-border real estate project management, providing robust management tools and decision support. However, the study's limitations include a small sample size and restricted data sources. Future research should aim to expand the sample size and incorporate more diverse data sources to enhance the findings' generalizability and accuracy.

The Relationship of Preterm and Small for Gestational Age with Child Cognition During School-Age Years

BackgroundChildren born preterm and/or small for gestational age (SGA) are at increased risk of poor cognitive outcomes, particularly in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). ObjectivesThis study aimed to examine the cognitive and academic deficits during the school-age years in children born preterm or SGA compared with those in children born term adequate for gestational age (AGA) in rural Vietnam. MethodsChildren born to women in a preconception micronutrient supplementation trial in Vietnam were classified into 3 groups: preterm AGA (n =138), term SGA (n =169), and term AGA (n = 1134). Cognitive abilities were assessed using the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, measuring 4 domains [verbal comprehension index (VCI), perceptual reasoning index (PRI), working memory index (WMI), and processing speed index (PSI) scores] and full-scale intelligence quotient (FSIQ) at 6–7 and 10–11 y. Academic achievement was assessed with mathematic and language tests. Analysis of variance and multiple regression models were used to analyze differences in cognitive function and academic achievement at 6–7 and 10–11 y by birth phenotypes. ResultsCompared with term AGA children, those born SGA had lower cognitive scores at both 6–7 y (VCI, −2.3; PRI, −3.7; PSI −2.1; and FSIQ, −2.9) and 10–11 y (VCI, −3.7; PRI, −3.5; WMI, −2.7; PSI, −1.9; and FSIQ, −3.9). Children born SGA also had poorer academic achievement with lower language (5.3) and mathematic (2.5) scores. Adjustments for maternal factors and home environment attenuated the associations, but the differences in VCI, PRI, FSIQ, and language at 10–11 y remained significant. There were no differences in cognitive function and academic achievement between children born preterm and AGA. ConclusionsOur findings highlight the enduring association of birth phenotype on cognitive functioning and academic achievement during the school years, despite adjustments for maternal education and family environment. Further research is needed to implement effective interventions to improve birth outcomes and optimize child health and development in LMICs.The trial was registered at clinicaltrials.gov as NCT01665378 (URL: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01665378).

THE INFLUENCE OF LEARNING ORGANIZATIONS AND EMPLOYEE INNOVATION BEHAVIOR ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT THE SURABAYA CITY CULTURE, YOUTH AND SPORTS AND TOURISM OFFICE WITH THE INTERVENING VARIABLE OF EMPLOYEE COMPETENCE

This study examines and demonstrates the impact of Learning Organizations and Employee Innovation Behavior on Employee Performance in the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports and Tourism of the City of Surabaya. The research design employed in this study is explanatory research, which aims to explain the causes and consequences of existing problems. Path Analysis, along with two multiple linear regression analysis models and SPSS ver 17.0, was utilized to analyze the data. Furthermore, this study is classified as associative research. The findings of this study confirm that learning organizations have a positive and significant influence on employee competence. Furthermore, employee innovation behavior also has a positive and significant impact on employee competence. Moreover, learning organizations positively and significantly affect employee performance, while employee innovation behavior also has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Additionally, employee competence is found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, employee competence does not act as a mediating variable in the relationship between learning organizations and employee performance. On the other hand, employee competence does serve as a mediating variable in the relationship between employee innovation behavior and employee performance.

The role of solute polarizability and microenvironment in the spectroscopic behaviour of the local anesthetic drug - bupivacaine

The solvent dependent ground- and excited-state photophysical and photochemical properties of the local anesthetic drug – bupivacaine (BUP) – have been studied using a steady-state spectroscopic technique. The Kamlet-Taft solvent scale was used to describe the solvatochromism of BUP in terms of non-specific (dipole-dipole) and specific (hydrogen bonding) solute-solvent interactions. The performed analysis indicates that the major factor responsible for the shift of the absorption and fluorescence bands is solvent polarity, while the solvent acidity and basicity have a less significant effect. Finally, it has also been shown how the solvatochromic equations can be used, in principle, to obtain estimates for the ground- and excited-state (Franck-Condon and relaxed) dipole moments, the difference thereof and the polarizability of BUP from a simple analysis of spectral shift data (solvatochromic methods of Lippert and Mataga, McRae, Bakhshiev and Mataga and Kubota) and multiple linear regression analysis (model of solvatochromism developed by Bayliss, McRae and Ooshika). In addition, an innovative physical treatment was used, consisting of a non-linear fit of the absorption and emission spectral shift data using the theoretical model of solvatochromism developed by Bilot and Kawski and visualisation of the least squares coefficient (χ2) on a 3D map as a function of the solute polarizability and the gas phase absorption or fluorescence energies. Since the solute polarizability can affect both the electronic characteristics and the reactivity of the molecule, our investigations may have significant implications for the development of the pharmaceutical industry (understanding of the influence of the environment on intermolecular processes occurring in the drug-medium system).

A deep neural network algorithm-based approach for predicting recovery period of accidents according to construction scale

Despite ongoing safety efforts, construction sites experience a concerningly high accident rate. Notwithstanding that policies and research to reduce the risk of accidents in the construction industry have been active for a long time, the accident rate in the construction industry is considerably higher than in other industries. This trend may likely be further exacerbated by the rapid growth of large-scale construction projects driven by urban population expansion. Consequently, accurately predicting recovery periods of accidents at construction sites in advance and proactively investing in measures to mitigate them is critical for efficiently managing construction projects. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose a framework for developing accident prediction models based on the Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm according to the scale of the construction site. This study suggests DNN models and applies the DNN for each construction site scale to predict accident recovery periods. The model performance and accuracy were evaluated using mean absolute error (MAE) and root-mean-square error (RMSE) and compared with the widely used multiple regression analysis model. As a result of model comparison, the DNN models showed a lower prediction error rate than the regression analysis models for both small-to-medium and large construction sites. The findings and framework of this study can be applied as the opening stage of accident risk assessment using deep learning techniques, and the introduction of deep learning technology to safety management according to the scale of the construction site is provided as a guideline.

Effects of dental anxiety and anesthesia on vital signs during tooth extraction

BackgroundAnxiety is common preceding tooth extraction; hence, it is crucial to identify patients with dental anxiety (DA) and to manage DA. This study assessed the level of DA and influencing factors in tooth extraction patients in a dental hospital in China and changes in their blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) during the tooth-extraction procedure.MethodsThe study was a cohort study. The Dental Anxiety Scale (DAS) was used to assess the level of DA of 120 patients before tooth extraction. A Demographics and Oral Health Self-Assessment Form was used to assess factors influencing DA. The correlations of DAS scores with HR and BP were measured. The effects of local anesthesia and general anesthesia on HR and BP were also compared using a Datex-Ohmeda anesthesia monitor to detect HR and BP continuously before and after anesthesia. Independent sample t-tests, OLS multiple regression model and one-way analysis of variance were applied to analysis the results.ResultsBased on the DAS score, 12.5% of the participants were identified as suffering from DA. DA was related to age, gender, and the self-assessment of oral health. The DAS score was correlated with increased BP (P < 0.05). BP showed an overall upward trend after local anesthesia, while it was generally stable after general anesthesia. The systolic BP at 4 and 5 min and the HR at 2 and 4 min increased remarkably (P < 0.05) after local anesthesia compared with those before anesthesia. The HR and BP of patients under local anesthesia were generally higher than those of patients under general anesthesia were during the operation.ConclusionsThe prevalence of DA in adults was 12.5% in this study population. DA was related to gender, age, and the self-assessment of oral health. The score of DAS was correlated with BP. Compare to local anesthesia, general anesthesia can make the vital signs of tooth extraction patients more stable.

Effect of Healthcare Service Quality and Price on Patient Satisfaction

Healthcare services is a place that is needed by all levels of society. Good service will influence patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction in health services is very important to pay attention to because it can describe the quality of service at the health service location. Knowing patient satisfaction is very useful for the relevant agencies in order to evaluate programs that are being implemented and to find which parts need improvement. This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and price on patient satisfaction at Kartika Husada Jatiasih Hospital. This type of research is a survey. The analytical method used in this research uses linear and multiple regression analysis models. The research results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction at Kartika Husada Jatiasih Hospital. Price has a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction at Kartika Husada Jatiasih Hospital. Service quality and price have a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction at Kartika Husada Jatiasih Hospital. Managerial implications include holding regular training for all hospital staff and implementing an effective feedback system to get input from patients about the quality of service

Application of ultrasound-guided single femoral triangle and adductor canal block in arthroscopic knee surgery: a prospective, double-blind, randomized clinical study

PurposeTo compare the difference in analgesic effect between femoral triangle block (FTB) and adductor canal block (ACB) during arthroscopic knee surgery.MethodsPatients who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery were randomized preoperatively to FTB group or ACB group. For each group, 20 mL of 0.1% ropivacaine was injected. Primary outcomes: The numeric rating score (NRS) at 12 h after surgery at rest and during movement. Secondary outcome: (1) The NRS at post anesthesia care unit (PACU) and 2, 24 h after surgery at rest and during movement; (2) The quadriceps muscle strength at PACU and 2, 12, 24 h after surgery; (3) Consumption of Rescue analgesia; (4) Incidence of adverse reactions.ResultsThe NRS at 12 h after surgery at rest and during movement of ACB group were higher than FTB group. Among secondary outcomes, the NRS at PACU at rest and during movement, 2 h after surgery during movement of FTB group lower than ACB group; the quadriceps muscle strength at 2 h after surgery of FTB group stronger than ACB group. After multiple linear regression model analysis, the data showed additional statistically significant reduction NRS at 24 h after surgery at rest (0.757, p = 0.037) in FTB group. Other outcomes were similar between two groups.ConclusionsThe FTB appears to provide superior pain control after knee arthroscopy than ACB, the FTB is superior to the ACB in quadriceps muscle strength at 2 h after surgery.Trial registrationThe trial was registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR2300068765). Relationship between Driving Ability and Physical Fitness Factors in Older Adults: A Multiple Linear Regression Analysis.

The number of older drivers is increasing with the aging population; this has led to concerns about traffic accidents involving older drivers. For older adults, the automobile is not just a means of transportation, but a life necessity that promotes social activities and maintains and improves health-related quality of life. In this study, we aimed to clarify the relationship between driving ability and physical fitness factors among 70 older adult drivers using a single regression analysis and multiple regression models adjusted for age, sex, and other factors. Driving ability was evaluated by driving an actual car on an ordinary road without a simulator. The single regression analysis revealed no relationship between driving ability and any physical fitness factor. In the multiple regression model analysis, only grip strength was an important explanatory factor; however, the driving ability scores decreased as grip strength scores increased. By clarifying the physical fitness factors that influence the maintenance and improvement of driving ability, it is possible to propose more efficient intervention programs to maintain and improve driving ability. We could not identify the relevant physical fitness factors in this study; therefore, further research is required to improve safe driving among older adults.

Infant Formula with 50% or More of Palmitic Acid Bound to the sn-2 Position of Triacylglycerols Eliminate the Association between Formula-Feeding and the Increase of Fecal Palmitic Acid Levels in Newborns: An Exploratory Study.

The binding ratio of palmitic acid (PA) at the sn-2 position of triacylglycerols in infant formulas is lower than that in breast milk, resulting in higher levels of fecal PA. Even if the ratio is increased to 40-50%, fecal PA levels in formula-fed infants remain higher than those in breast-fed infants. In Japan, infant formulas with 50% or more of PA bound to sn-2 (high sn-2 PA milk) are commercially available; however, their effects on PA excretion have not been investigated. Therefore, this observational study aimed to preliminarily evaluate whether the feeding volume of high sn-2 PA milk is significantly associated with fecal total/soaped PA levels in newborns. Infant formulas were classified as high (≥50% of PA bound to sn-2) or low sn-2 (<50%) PA milk. Associations between feeding volume of high or low sn-2 PA milk and fecal PA levels were evaluated using multiple regression analysis models. The results showed that the feeding volume of low sn-2 PA milk was positively associated with fecal total/soaped PA levels, while there was no significant association between those of high sn-2 PA milk and fecal total/soaped PA levels. Our preliminary study suggests that high sn-2 PA milk may reduce increased fecal PA levels in formula-fed newborns.

Pengaruh Investment Opportunity Set (IOS), Likuiditas, dan Efisiensi terhadap Kualitas Laba: Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Subsektor Perbankan yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia 2018-2021

This study aims to examine the effect of Investment Opportunity Set (IOS), liquidity, and efficiency on earnings quality. The data used is secondary data in the form of an annual report of commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 4 years of observation, from 2018 to 2021. The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique and then resulted in 42 companies as the sample. This research used multiple linear regression analysis models. These models were analyzed using EViews 12. The results of this study showed that investment opportunity set, liquidity, and efficiency have no effect on earnings quality.

Investment Decisions of the Individual Investors in the Capital Market of Bangladesh

Investment decisions of the individual investors in the capital market are influenced by various factors. Main objective of this study is to find out the influences of the factors on investment decisions of individual investors in the capital market in Bangladesh. A highly structured questionnaire has been used to collect primary data from 384 individual investors who are traded in the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). The study respondents have been selected at a simple random method. Analysis of variance (ANOVA), multiple regression model, graphs, charts and tabular analysis have been used to analyze collected data and to test hypotheses of the study. The results showed that EPS has positive influence (β=0.0682, t=1.2439 and p=0.2143, test of hypothesis 2) on investment decisions and rank of EPS is 4 with mean score of 3.8099 and S.D=0.5087 (table 3). It has also found that dividend has positive relationship (β=0.0590, t=1.1054 and p=0.2697, test of hypothesis 3) with investment decisions and dividend is ranked 6 with mean score of 3.5755 and S.D=0.5593 (table 3). Accordingly, P/E ratio has a negative influence (β =-0.0069, t=-0.1341 and p=0.8934) on investment decisions of the individual investors. Therefore, this study will be very helpful to the individual investors to make correct investment decisions by analysing EPS, dividend trends and P/E ratio of the company.

Measuring the Impact of Value-Added Tax Cuts on Consumers in Vietnam

This study aims to explore how temporary changes in VAT rates affect consumer perception and behavior in Vietnam. The research is conducted based on self-administered questionnaires collected from residents of Vietnam. The snowball sampling technique was utilized to gather the data set during 2023. A questionnaire was prepared and evenly distributed among three main subjects from three different sectors and with income levels in three groups: low; medium; and high, respectively: (1) Workers from the manufacturing and industrial sector; (2) Lecturers from the education and training sector; (3) Managers from the finance and banking sector. A total of 513 usable questionnaires were analyzed. This paper employs the multiple regression analysis model (OLS) to test the study hypothesis. Analysis results reveal that the reduction of VAT in Vietnam from 10% to 8% has significantly impacted consumer behavior, where consumer products within the daily and durable goods categories are anticipated to grow, however, expenditure on entertainment products or services tends to decrease. Additionally, reasons leading to changes in consumer behavior were also discussed in the study. The findings of this paper will offer insightful perspectives for policymakers in formulating future VAT policies, especially considering the items that significantly influence changes in consumer purchasing power following VAT changes.

THE EFFECT OF GCG MECHANISM AND CSR ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

This study aims to determine and examine The Effect of independent commissioners, managerial ownership, audit committees, and corporate social responsibility on financial performance both partially and simultaneously (together) in Textile and Garment Sub Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2017-2021. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive and verification. Testing the hypothesis using a multiple linear regression analysis model. The study results show that some GCG components affect financial performance, and others do not. The independent board of commissioners and audit committee do not affect ROA. Managerial ownership and CSR affect ROA. Then the independent board of commissioners also does not affect EPS. Managerial ownership, audit committee, and CSR affect EPS. Together the independent board of commissioners, managerial ownership, audit committee, and, CSR affect ROA and EPS in textile and garment sub-sector companies for the 2017-2021 period.

PENGARUH FINANCIAL DISTRESS DAN LEVERAGE TERHADAP MANAJEMEN LABA (Studi Kasus Pada Perusahaan Sub sektor Farmasi Periode 2017-2021)

This study intends to investigate how financial distress and leverage affect managing profitability. The populationof this study includes all pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the2017-2021 period, the sample was determined by purposive sampling, namely 8 companies. The data collectiontechnique uses documentation techniques, namely collecting financial reports for the pharmaceutical sub-sectorin the 2017-2021 period. This research method uses quantitative methods with descriptive and verification dataanalysis techniques and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis models. The results show thatthe coefficient of determination (R Square) indicates that financial distress and leverage impact earningsmanagement by 20.2%, whereas other factors not included in this study influence the remaining factors. Partialhypothesis testing shows that financial distress has no effect on earnings management while leverage has asignificant effect on earnings management. Simultaneously financial distress and leverage have a significant effecton earnings management in pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the2017-2021 period.

Analysis of The Influence Between Mining, Agriculture and Processed Product Exports on Indonesia's Sales Development in International Trade in the Time Frame 2019-2022

Exports are one of the international trade activities that provide benefits to Indonesia, including capital transactions, employment, and foreign exchange reserves. There are 2 types of exports, namely oil and gas and non-oil and gas exports. The value of non-oil and gas exports tends to be higher than oil and gas exports. So this research focuses on three non-oil and gas sectors, which consist of mining, agriculture, and processing industry (processed products). The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of mining, agriculture, and processed product exports on Indonesia's sales in international trade in the 2019-2022 timeframe. This research uses a quantitative approach, and a multiple linear regression analysis model with the IBM SPSS 22 application. The research data comes from the Central Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Trade, and related agencies. The variables used include 3 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. The independent variables are mining exports (X1) with the commodities used are coal, copper, lignite, iron and steel, agricultural exports (X2), and exports of processed products (X3), and Indonesia's sales as the dependent variable (Y). Based on the results of the study, partially shows that mining exports, and processed products have a significant positive effect on Indonesian sales. While agricultural exports (X2) have no effect on Indonesian sales (Y).

Evaluation of the effect of daylight saving time on household lighting saving potential in six highly urbanised Chinese cities

ABSTRACT (Double) Daylight Saving Time (DST/DDST) synchronizes human daily activities with sunlight hours, aiming to save energy. China implemented DST/DDST in 1986 and annulled it in 1991, which has not since been observed. This study aims to revisit the household lighting energy-saving potentials of DST/DDST implementation in six representative highly urbanized Chinese cities across different latitudes and within different climate zones, based on the electricity consumption behaviour of Chinese people in the 2020s. We constructed country-specific Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) analysis models interrelated with the local characteristic features of the DST/DDST in China, including latitude, age structure, industrial structure, get-up and bedtime schedules. The results showed the following: (1) Both DST and DDST can effectively reduce household lighting consumption in all the studied case cities, while DDST has a superior energy-saving potential; (2) Considering China-specific lifetime schedules, April to October is the most recommended duration for DST/DDST implementation; (3) Northern cities in China exhibit greater potential for energy savings in lighting than southern regions. (4) Cities with larger portions of primary industry have more household lighting-saving potential in China. Based on the obtained results, monthly data and separate statistical data on household lighting could help promote the precision of regression models.

The Influence of Loyalty, Performance Evaluation, Motivation and Work Experience On Position Promotion At Pt Inet Global Indo

The purpose of this research is to find out how Loyalty, Performance Evaluation, Motivation and Work Experience influence position promotion at PT. Internet Global Indo. This research uses a quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression analysis model. The population of this study are permanent employees who work at PT. Inet Global Indo, numbering 35 people. The sampling technique used was a saturated sampling technique, with a sample size of 35 respondents. The data collected is primary data, obtained through a survey method using a questionnaire. The research results show that both Loyalty, Performance Evaluation, Motivation and Work Experience partially or simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on job promotion at PT. Internet Global Indo.

PENGARUH PENGEMBANGAN PROGRAM DESA WISATA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENDAPATAN MASYARAKAT BANTUL (STUDI KASUS: DESA WISATA TEMBI TIMBULHARJO KAPANEWON SEWON BANTUL DIY)

This study was conducted with the aim to analyze the development of tourism village programs in their effect on increasing community income, focusing on Tembi Timbulharjo Kapanewon Sewon Bantul DIY Tourism Village. In this study, quantitative methods with a descriptive approach were used. Primary data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to the people of Tembi Tourism Village with a total sample of 91 people collected through the random sampling method. Then analyzed with a multiple linear regression analysis model and produced findings that proved that the community participation variable (X1) and facility variable (X2) did not have a partial influence on increasing community income (Y), but the training variable (X3) and promotion variable (X4) had a partial influence on increasing community income. Meanwhile, simultaneously the variables of community participation (X1), facilities (X2), training (X3), and promotion (X4) have a significant influence on increasing community income (Y) in Tembi tourism village.
