USE OF MULTIMEDIA IN THE PROCESS OF FORMATION OF COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The article is devoted to the problem of the application of multimedia tools in the process of the formation of communicative competence of third and fourth-grade students. The analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature and observation of the work of primary school teachers to determine the place and role of multimedia tools in the process of teaching the Ukrainian language proved the relevance and prospects of the problem. The article analyzes the concepts of "communicative competence", "multimedia tools" in the context of the modern educational process in Ukraine. Psychological, psycholinguistic and pedagogical aspects of the problem of formation of communicative competence of junior schoolchildren are considered, theoretical and methodical bases of use of multimedia tools in lessons of Ukrainian language in mentioned classes are defined, their functional possibilities in the system of forms, methods and receptions of work on formation of communicative competence of students are characterized. The methodology of formation of communicative competence of students is based on the system of preparatory language, conditional-communicative, communicative tasks with multimedia support with the use of hardware (computer, projector, smart-board) and software (multimedia presentations, multimedia editions) is offered. The results of the research of the process of formation of communicative competence of third and fourth grade students with the use of multimedia tools based on the analysis of educational achievements of students (high, sufficient, average, initial) are presented. The article presents experimental data that confirms the expediency of using multimedia tools in the process of forming the communicative competence of primary school students, their role in improving the efficiency of this process.

This research article explains several important coding languages and software technologies used in the web development process. This research article explores the important role of CSS and HTML integration in modern web development to improve user experience. This study examines the principles, techniques, and best practices associated with these technologies to provide a comprehensive understanding of their impact on web design and functionality. The main goal of this job is to create existing websites with your own design using HTML, CSS, and JS. The new HTML system clearly separates website content into modules. ESL teaching methods and approaches: Essential strategies for encouraging effective language acquisition.

The present study contributes to the field of English as a Second Language education by examining the effectiveness of different teaching methods, including interactive techniques, technology integration, and culturally responsive teaching strategies. By relying on a mixed-methods research methodology that relied on a triangulation of classroom observations, literature review, and ESL teacher surveys, this study identified several strategies that may have a positive impact on language learning. In particular, the results suggested that interactive activities improve student engagement and promote hands-on practical language application, technology use in classrooms ensures inclusivity and supports the diverse needs of learners via multimedia supports, and culturally responsive teaching that integrates students’ social and cultural backgrounds into the learning process increases relevance and motivation. The current paper also addresses the implications of these findings for ESL practitioners and lists potential avenues for further studies that could help advance ESL pedagogy in the future. The results of the study serve as a call to ESL teachers to employ these methods in their classrooms and modify them to fit their specific teaching and learning context to promote the effectiveness of this type of language instruction and inclusivity within classrooms.

Abstract PO3-09-07: When We Tri(al): Reaching, Motivating, & Effectively Engaging Black Women In Breast Cancer Clinical Trial Research

Abstract According to the American Cancer Society, Black women in the United States are 41% more likely to die from breast cancer than non-Hispanic white women. A systematic review of participation in clinical trials found that Black patients comprised less than 4% of all patients enrolled in clinical trials for emerging immune-based cancer treatments. The physiology of Black women has not been a significant consideration in clinical trial research. Clinical trial education, recruiting, and participation are not commensurate with the burden of disease. TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance (TOUCHBBCA) launched the When We Tri(al) Movement (WWT) in January 2022 with robust multi-media support and nationwide community event activations to educate and empower Black women with culturally-agile messaging from the trusted voices of Black Breast Cancer survivor/thrivers. WWT provides an innovative and engaging learning platform that clearly depicts how clinical trials work, explains standard of care, dispels historical myths, establishes trust, and empowers self-advocacy. To date, whenwetrial.org has garnered over 108,000 visits and sent nearly 11,000 Black women to clinical trial portals. One-third of unique website visitors have gone into clinical trial search portals. Over a sixteen day period in late June and early July of 2023, TOUCHBBCA conducted research among Black women who joined the When We Tri(al) movement using a pre-experimental, retrospective pre-then-post test (RPTP) survey design to assess growth in knowledge and behavior change among Black women exposed to the Movement. This survey received 113 respondents who self-identified as Black and assigned female at birth. Following exposure to WWT, 34.5% of respondents reported an increase in their understanding of how breast cancer clinical trials work, 31.9% reported an increase in their understanding of standard of care in breast cancer clinical trials, and 40.7% reported an increased understanding of why clinical trials are important for Black women. 32.7% of survey respondents were more likely to consider participating in a clinical trial after interacting with the WWT movement. After interacting with the movement, 31% of respondents took active steps to participate in a clinical trial—specified as searching for clinical trials in a portal, asking about clinical trial options, talking to a doctor about clinical trials, etc. Another 17.7% of respondents reported supporting a loved one in taking steps to participate in a clinical trial only after interacting with WWT. The majority of respondents reported first hearing about WWT through social media (59.2%), followed by “Other” (the majority of write-in responses named Google or a friend) (19.5%). Respondents reported that the most convincing WWT messages were delivered via social media (26.6%) and in-person conversations (20.4%). Not only is When We Tri(al) educating and equipping Black women with critical clinical trial knowledge, but the movement is driving significant behavior change by Black women around clinical trial participation. Lecturers’ experiences of online learning communication in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic: A phenomenological study

Background Indonesia is currently implementing educational reforms to enhance university teaching and learning. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected Indonesian universities, requiring lecturers to implement various changes. The phenomenon of online learning communication at various universities in Indonesia is critical considering today’s increasingly fierce competition due to digital disruption coupled with the impact of the pandemic. Therefore, lecturers must implement appropriate methods to conduct online learning communication effectively. Methods This qualitative phenomenological study was designed to explore lecturers’ understanding of the implementation of changes in online learning communication at Indonesian universities. In-depth interviews and field observations were conducted with lecturers who were efficient in online learning using a specific measurement standard. The research participants were identified using purposive sampling with a snowball approach. The study comprised 10 lecturers from UPN Veteran Jakarta who were experienced and efficiently delivered online lectures. Results The results provide a review of factors identified by the phenomenological and qualitative study that contribute to online learning communication, such as chemistry, lecturer preparation, and learning materials. The results of this study revealed several themes. Each section centers on the major themes that emerged from the datasets. Conclusion Our findings aid in a better understanding of the benefits and constraints of using online learning communication in the classroom. These findings are crucial for university lecturers developing methods for enhancing the implementation of online learning communication. Moreover, the findings revealed that lecturers should engage in and create trusting interactions with their students. Providing technical support to keep both teachers and students engaged can be useful. More crucially, multimedia support and learning systems are essential for properly addressing lecturers’ tasks and learning materials. This study improves the understanding of online learning communications implemented by lecturers.

STEM Learning: The Way to Construct Undergraduate Students’ Oral Communications Skills in Science Learning

Communication skills are one of the skills that a person must have when entering the world of work. The workforce in a company that lacks mastering 21st century skills will be at a disadvantage to compete globally, and will have difficulty in dealing with challenges that arise along with the with the development of science and technology. So, in higher education such as university, the curriculum, course, and learning should provide the activities that could improve and construct students’ communications skills. STEM is one of the learning approaches that could help to construct students’ communication skills. Research objective is to investigate how is the development of oral science communications skills of undergraduate students in Environmental learning by using STEM learning approaches. The method of this research is qualitative research by the data taken from observation and teaching learning video recording transcriptions. The transcription is coded by the assessment of science communication rubrics adapted from Baltimore University for oral science communication. The data are taken from students’ presentation activities in environmental courses. This research result shows that responsiveness indicators is 88,3%, multimedia supported as technology skills is 83,3%, and conclusions indicators is 50,0%. It could be concluded that STEM learning approaches could be constructed students’ oral communications skills. Responsiveness and multimedia support of oral communications skills indicators are outperformed than conclusion as the least performed of oral communications skills.

ORGANIZATION OF EDUCATION PROCESS IN TEACHING MICROBIOLOGY TO PARAMEDIC STUDENTS

Today, one of the leading trends in the development of higher professional education is increasing attention to the problem of training specialists of a qualitatively new level, professionals which would be ready for professional growth, capable of self-education, self-improvement and self-realization. Accordingly, the training of a specialist of a new formation with a medical education, in particular, paramedics, requires the transformation of the educational space, the introduction of the latest technologies, methods and techniques. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to highlight the basic principles and technologies of the educational process of training paramedics at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology of the Poltava State Medical University. The article presents the main elements of the educational and professional training program for paramedics, key technologies, which are aimed at ensuring deep assimilation of knowledge from this discipline and their practical application in medical practice. One of the ways to increase the effectiveness of education is the use of interactive teaching methods. For example, students can participate in discussions, group projects, and practical sessions at the laboratory, where they can study microorganisms and perform various experiments. For effective learning, it is also important to use visual aids, for example, multimedia support of the topic, animation, electronic diagrams, photos, diagrams, drawings. This will help students to understand complex processes and phenomena more easily.
 Thus, the organization of the educational process at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology when teaching the educational discipline "Microbiology" to paramedic students, is based on the educational and professional programs. To ensure the effective provision of educational services, modern means and technologies of education are used.

A review of the methodological characteristics of vocabulary interventions for emergent bilinguals in preschool to sixth grade

AbstractVocabulary is foundational for reading and strongly linked to emergent bilingual (EB) students' academic achievement. Given the few syntheses on vocabulary interventions that are focused on emergent bilinguals, this literature review appraises the existing research and thoroughly accounts for methodological characteristics across studies relating to sample, treatment, and outcomes. We further investigate vocabulary teaching approaches that elicit positive vocabulary outcomes for preschool through to sixth grade EBs. Relevant intervention studies were identified and analysed for the study's sample, measure, and treatment characteristics as well as significant intervention outcomes. Analyses reveal that for sample characteristics there was a large amount of non‐reported information and a predominance of homogeneous, Spanish‐speaking, low second language proficiency sampling. For measurement characteristics, studies emphasised decontextualised and breadth of vocabulary knowledge as well as receptive vocabulary knowledge through oral responses. Patterns in treatment characteristics showed a prominence of unaligned treatment conditions, few investigations of home language support on EBs' vocabulary outcomes, and effectiveness of balanced approaches. Future research should build on effective balanced approaches and explore closer aligned comparison conditions with greater use of EBs' home languages. Practitioners should provide holistic vocabulary instruction for EBs that incorporates home language support, multimedia support during reading, and independent reading, all of which should provide extended and repeated vocabulary exposure.

LINGUODIDACTIC ASPECT OF ENGLISH MULTIMEDIA CONTENT USE IN DISTANCE LEARNING

The objective of the article – to justify the methodological principles and basic componentsof the model of teaching English in distance learning.Research materials and methods include a model of organizing distance learning, whichinvolves the use of computer technology as the basis of learning and the use of multimediacontent as an integrated component of the comprehensive methodological supportfor learning English, in particular the process of forming English speaking skills andabilities. The method of formal analysis as well as structural and comparative methodswere used in the research.Results. The system of pedagogical conditions for distance learning of the Englishlanguage as a complex application of computer and multimedia technologies issubstantiated. The methodical principles and basic components of the training model areoutlined. The functions of computer technology, multimedia support, tasks for the teacherand student opportunities are defined.Conclusions. The effectiveness of these learning technologies use is determined by thespecific tasks of studying the discipline and the expediency of their use to ensure theimplementation of supporting functions, the main ones of which are:1. Determination of the management degree of the student’s educational activity by theteacher at all levels.2. Statistical analysis of the results of educational activities, which ensures the avoidanceof assessment subjectivism.4. MULTIMEDIA SUPPORT OF THE INNOVATIVE ASPECTS OF MODERN HIGHER EDUCATION

The relevance of the presented article is determined by the innovative dimensions of modern higher education, which have gained special importance in the context of modern challenges, which objectively caused the need to change the format of the educational process in the universities and require certain multimedia support. The aim of the article is to highlight the multimedia support of innovative aspects of higher education. The research uses the following methods of scientific and pedagogical research, such as: analysis of scientific literature on the problem of the innovativeness of higher education, the essence and potential of multimedia technologies; analysis of educational and professional programs; synthesis, comparison, systematization of scientific sources; definitional analysis of the basic research concepts. The basic research phenomena such as «multimedia», «multimedia technologies», «multimedia tools», «multimedia support», «educational innovation», «innovative dimensions of higher education» are highlighted. In the context of the issue under consideration, we are based on the concept of «multimedia support», which we understand as the process of introducing a set of multimedia technologies and tools that are used in accordance with the logic of innovative aspects of higher education and are appropriate for certain innovative dimensions of higher education, which have been analyzed in detail in previous studies. Certain multimedia technologies and tools are represented, which are more appropriate in the context of certain innovative aspects that correspond to certain innovative dimensions of higher education, namely: conceptual-innovative, content-innovative, technological-innovative, communicative-innovative. The essence of conceptual, substantive, communicative, technological innovative aspects of higher education is clarified. The types of their multimedia support are presented. The aspect of using multimedia technologies and tools in the distance learning system, which for objective reasons has become a priority form of organization of the educational process in modern higher education institutions, thus requires further study.

The Android operating system has demonstrated its ability to run a variety of multimedia applications, such as music players, video players, cameras, and photo galleries. In addition, Android has become a pioneer in multimedia for humanity because of its ability to deliver high-quality and easy-to-use multimedia content. As the author of this literature review, I hope that the results of this study can provide a deeper understanding of the role of Android as a pioneer in multimedia for humanity. I also hope that this study can contribute to the understanding of the history of Android and its continued relevance today.

Validitas Multimedia Interaktif Lectora Inspire pada Submateri Pemanfaatan Keanekaragaman Hayati Berbasis Tumbuhan Kerajinan

In assessing the availability of the local potentials, learning biology has a vital role. By the support of interactive multimedia, the delivery of materials and a sense of caring for the environment can be built by students easily. This research aims to find out the feasibility of interactive multimedia lectora inspire as a learning media in biodiversity sub-material. Research methods use quantitative descriptive and data analysis using RTVTK calculations. Lectora inspire validation is conducted by three material experts with three aspects and 11 assessment criteria and three media experts with six aspects and 13 assessment criteria. Validation results get an average of total validation (RTVTK) material experts of 3.89 and media experts of 3.65. The interactive multimedia Lectora inspires the sub-material of the use of biodiversity for class X HIgh School is considered appropriate to be used as learning media.

A Review Paper on New Web Development Technology

The paper offers an overview of the new features of web technology. A general idea for a new version of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), i.e. HTML5, and other tools presented in this paper is legal specification and implementation of similar technological and operational solutions that already exist was used with various hacks and plug-ins proposed by web developers. Many of these apps will work now used in browsers. Apps may access these functions through the newly defined program applications. The latter include multimedia support, dynamic image rendering, geolocation, multithreading, local data storage etc. HTML5 also introduces a semantic tag, which can be used for tagging document structure and its features and data. New version of HTML imposes strict split page content from your style. Style can only be done using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) language. New The CSS version, i.e. CSS3, has a modular structure, where different modules define different aspects of style. Framework for Preparation of Engaging Online Educational Materials—A Cognitive Approach

This study examines the process of creating successful, engaging, interactive, and activity-based online educational materials, while taking the cognitive aspects of learners into account. The quality of online educational materials has become increasingly important in the recent period, and it is crucial that content is created that allows our students to learn effectively and enjoyably. In this paper, we present the milestones of curriculum creation and the resulting model, the criteria of selecting online learning environments, technical requirements, and the content of educational videos, interactive contents, and other methodological solutions. In addition, we also introduce some principles of instructional design, as well as a self-developed model that can be used to create effective online learning materials and online courses. There was a need for a self-developed, milestone-based, practice-oriented model because the models examined so far were too general and inadequate to meet the needs of a decentralized developer team, who work on different schedules, with significant geographical distances between them and do not place enough emphasis on taking cognitive factors into account. In these processes, special attention should be paid to having a clear and user-friendly interface, support for individual learning styles, effective multimedia, ongoing assistance and tracking of students’ progress, as well as interactivity and responsive appearance.

Field Experts' Perspectives about the Web 2.0 Tool to Be Developed For Measurement and Assessment

The aim of the research is to reveal the features of a Web 2.0 tool for measurement and assessment that will be developed for primary education teachers, in line with the opinions of Computer Education and Instructional Technology Departments (CEIT) and Primary Education field experts. Case study is one of the qualitative research methods used in this research. Participants were consists of 20 field experts, including 10 CEIT and 10 Primary Education field experts with professional experiences ranging from 1 to 27 years. The opinions of the field experts were received through semi-structured interviews. The findings obtained in the research are evaluated in general, it has been determined that the measurement and assessment Web 2.0 tool to be developed for the use of primary education teachers, should have an easy of use interface and a question/answer design with multimedia support, include awards/competition and teamwork' interaction in order to be preferred by students and ensure ease of use, be supported by MoNE and stakeholders in order to be preferred by teachers. It is recommended that the specified Web 2.0 tool should include outcome-based and graphical-based reporting features. Especially in the Covid-19 pandemic process, in order for parents to support their child and follow the student's progress, it is recommended that a detailed statistical development report be included in the parent interface limited to their own children only.

MULTIMEDIA IN MASTERING FOREIGN DISCOURSE COMPETENCE

The given article is dedicated to the study of a relevant issue of modern methodology, namely – the use of innovative multimedia technologies in the acquisition of foreign discourse competence in order to increase motivation to learn a foreign language. Today leading universities are constantly increasing the use of multimedia tools in the study of foreign languages, because this technique in teaching foreign languages has proved to be a promising area, because it allows to control students’ learning activities with high accuracy and objectivity, providing constant feedback. New multimedia tools that use audio-visual format provide opportunities that traditional printed textbooks cannot provide. The article considers multimedia technologies (also used in online learning) as an important source of cognitive activity of students, the development of their creative abilities, interests, skills and abilities in mastering foreign discourse competence. There are now a large number of tools that can support online learning of German as a foreign language. The lessons conducted with the active use of multimedia resources provide an opportunity to use different learning platforms, through which traditional classes are expanded in the phases in which German is studied with the support of digital multimedia. We consider the current situation of introducing multimedia into modern education, based on which the prospects of modern teaching of German as a foreign language are formulated, as well as advice on learning that develops German students both discourse and linguistic as well as cultural competences. Thus, multimedia technologies provide optional help, which makes it possible to compensate for the individual deficit of competencies.

Методичні аспекти викладання молекулярної біології

The article considers the methodological characteristics of teaching molecular biology at the Department of Biology and methods of its teaching at Kamianets-Podilsky Ivan Ohiienko National University. The educational and methodical support of the discipline is analyzed; features of delivering lectures and tutorials are given; features of the organization of independent work of students are characterized; effective methods of control of student knowledge are defined. Thus, the department has developed an educational and methodological complex of the discipline, which includes the syllabus, lecture notes, plans of tutorials with methodological recommendations for their implementation, tasks for independent work, test tasks and tasks for monitoring and final control. Multimedia support of lectures has been developed, which fully reveal the problematic issues of relevant topics. For effective independent work of students methodical recommendations containing all tasks, including materials for self-control of level of mastering the knowledge by students are provided; a virtual learning environment based on the Moodle learning management system is available. It is stressed that independent work develops efficiency, disciplines, maintains interest in learning. From among modern approaches to teaching the discipline active teaching methods are used, notably video lectures, discussion of problematic issues, methods of group discussion, preparation of speeches on certain topics that contribute to the formation of required students' competencies, public speaking skills, ability to formalize the results, teamwork skills, etc. It is noted that the prospect for further research is the search for effective means of motivating students to study, creation of their own channels of educational nature in social networks, the development of electronic assessories for monitoring students' knowledge.

РЕАЛІЗАЦІЯ БАГАТОПОТОЧНОСТІ НА АРХІТЕКТУРІ МУЛЬТИМЕДІЙНИХ ПРОЦЕСОРІВ NEXPERIA

The structure of multiprocessor systems based on the architecture of modern Nexperia multimedia processors with a 32-bit computing core is considered. The fields of application of multimedia processors as general purpose processors and their data processing functions are studied. Multimedia processors use either functional architectures with limited flexibility but higher speed and efficiency, or programmable architectures with increased flexibility. The architecture of one of the Nexperia processors - TriMedia TM-1300 is analyzed and the diagram of its main components, the principle of operation of the central arbitration of the processor bus and methods of increasing its speed are given. Advanced general-purpose processors have been found to provide multimedia support by incorporating new multimedia instructions and executing them in parallel using a SIMD coprocessor approach. They provide multimedia support, including multimedia instructions in the instruction set. Instead of performing specific multimedia functions (such as compression and 3D graphics), multimedia processors provide purpose-built instructions to support general video processing operations. These instructions include support for 8-bit data types (pixels), efficient data addressing, and I/O instructions. The article examines the possibilities of software implementation of the parallelization of processors using parallel processing technologies, which is achieved by dividing one execution of a task into several independent smaller tasks. A software implementation of the work using a static and anonymous method is proposed. The program codes and the results of their testing are given. It has been proven that the division of different parts of the task between several computational resources of the CPU allows to reduce the execution time of the program and improves the potential computing power of the computer system.
