Science in the Language of the Heart: Ukrainian Language and Literature in the New Ukrainiian School as a Driver of STEM Development

The article outlines the pathways for integrating STEM disciplines into the planning of Ukrainian language and literature lessons in secondary education institutions within the framework of the New Ukrainian School. It substantiates the growing need for interdisciplinary approaches that foster the development of core competencies while considering the advantages, potential risks, and limitations of the proposed methods. The emphasis is placed on the importance of combining humanities with natural and mathematical sciences to enhance students' understanding of a holistic worldview, illustrating the need to avoid focusing solely on one aspect of development (so-called «humanitarians» and «technocrats»). The article offers theoretical and practical recommendations for developing STEM projects that engage students in creative literary exploration through applying scientific principles and doctrines. The effective combination of STEM education principles with the field of philology enables the creation of a dynamic and effective educational environment where students perceive the interconnectedness of knowledge, develop a well-rounded intellect, and receive foundational preparation for higher education. Methods of linguistic analysis of scientific texts are discussed, demonstrating how language skills can be enhanced through scientific discourse. To illustrate the material, approximate schemes for planning integrated lessons with specific examples from both linguistic-literary and scientific perspectives are provided. To improve understanding and engagement of modern students, emphasis is placed on using digital tools and platforms that ensure integration, including online resources, interactive modeling, multimedia content and artificial intelligence. The necessity for alignment among educators of various disciplines is evident to ensure a fair assessment of proficiency in the state language and scientific literacy, which is a crucial issue during wartime when language matters become increasingly prominent, alongside scientific and mathematical literacy, for building an intellectually developed country.

Shaping civic values of modern youth: Evaluating the influence of the international plein air as a specially organized artistic practice

Introduction. The article investigates the problem of patriotic education of modern youth. The purpose of the research is to identify and clarify the peculiarities of the influence of an international plein air as a specially organized artistic practice on the formation of modern youth civic values. Materials and Methods. The research is based on axiological and personality-centered approaches. The main research method is theoretical (reviewing regulatory documents and scholarly literature, analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization and data interpretation). In addition, a practical method was used (students performing search and short-term training exercises, as well as long-term artistic compositions). The project of the International Art Competition called ‘Without Borders’ that is analyzed in the article is a new format of an online professional Internet competition for students majoring in Arts for partner pedagogical universities. Results. The article analyzes the results of the international project on patriotic education and formation of civic values in modern students, implemented within the framework of cooperation between pedagogical universities of Belarus and Russia. The study convincingly proves that it is the plein air that provides an effective environment for developing students’ artistic and creative skills, implementing patriotic education of students, as well as contributes to shaping their readiness to organize patriotic educational activities in the future. Conclusions. The article concludes about the specifics of the influence of the international plein air as a specially organized artistic practice on the formation of modern students’ civic values.

Technology of creating an innovative textbook for teacher education system

The transformation of education, caused by the constantly changing demands of society and the avalanche growth of information, necessitates the search for new means of training future teachers, focused on the formation of universal qualities of a specialist. The creation of psycho-pedagogical classes requires expanded research into ways to improve pedagogical training with continuity at all levels, starting from school. Considering the focus on professional training, it is important to model the structure and content of educational tools that allow forming not only subject knowledge but also the readiness of future teachers to “learn to teach” adequately to the cognitive characteristics of modern students and the trends in the formation of digital content.The aim of the article is to substantiate the method of creating end-to-end inversion textbooks that allow forming and developing the readiness to learn to teach in students planning their future professional activities in the educational field (by the example of studying the topic of the informatics course “Information and information processes”).The literature analysis allowed us to identify three tools for modeling the format of presentation and structuring of the textbook content: the “inverted” or inversion (question-task) format of the structural composition of educational content; the end-to-end or vertical selection of educational content according to the principle of “vertical lever”, the principle of “transparent” box” based on structural mental diagrams for visualizing all components of educational material (theory, tasks, control methods). Using the example of the topic “Information and information processes”, the article shows the technology of applying these tools in compiling of innovative teaching resources is shown.An expert assessment of the created textbook confirmed the possibility and feasibility of its use in psycho-pedagogical classes and pedagogical universities for training, self-study, and self-control of students.

Exploring Academic Emotions Using Design Thinking Applied to Elementary School Learning Stress Adaptation

Background: Students’ learning stress adaptation is crucial. Research on design thinking in stress adaptation and academic emotions is still lacking. Methods: This study developed “Stress Relief Design” instructional activities using a mixed-method research design, including student academic emotion journals and a stress relief agreement survey for data collection. This study was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee and conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines. Participants were 24 students, aged 10 to 12, recruited through open enrollment. The instructional activities were conducted in a holiday workshop format, consisting of fifteen sessions over 5 days, with three sessions per day. Results: The results indicated that students predominantly experienced positive academic emotions (joy, pride, hope, and relaxation), with negative emotions (anxiety and boredom) being less common. Students reported that the course helped them relieve psychological stress. Conclusions: Therefore, design thinking is suitable for application in stress adaption courses and creates a learning environment that supports students’ academic emotions, making it a critical learning focus for modern students. This study contributes to the academic research on the application of design thinking in elementary school health education and learning stress adaptation, as well as on academic emotions.

Modern methods of teaching agricultural disciplines in vocational high schools of agriculture

The mission of the agricultural sciences has always been to seek how to grow crops and manage farm animals in order to produce high quality and quantity food and fiber to satisfy the needs of an ever-growing population. In the modern world, the quality training of agricultural specialists starts from the high school stage. Vocational agricultural education is one of the most effective and powerful tools in society which moves humanity forward and cares for the sustenance of all mankind. The present article examines the modern concepts of agricultural education and analyses the teaching methods in agricultural study program. It also describes in detail the modern teaching methods, their purpose, advantages and disadvantages. This article recommends the implementation of modern teaching methods, as it finds that they would ideally fit into the modern students’ idea of a learning process suitable for the new era of artificial intelligence (AI), technology and digitization.

Health preservation factors influence on students' motion readiness

Actual problem is to strengthen the health of students by means of physical education. The solution of this problem is impossible without knowledge of general physical preparedness (GPP) patterns of modern students. The importance of this information is emphasized by the need to strengthen the health of the younger generation, which is directly related to effective work in various areas and military service. The purpose of the work is to investigate the factors of health preservation that influence motion readiness dynamics of students of non-core universities. The results of the conducted studies convincingly indicate a significant deterioration in GPP indicators of modern studentscompared to their peers 11 years ago. New data have been obtained that male students and less female students of the 2020/2021 academic year are inferior to students of the 2009/2010 academic year in the level of development of basic physical qualities at GPP testing. At the same time, the pace of their improvement is about the same, both for male and female students. It was found that COVID19 pandemic did not have a negative impact on the level of GPP indicators’ development of students in 2020/2021 academic year.

Patriotic opinions of students and cadets: results of monitoring

In the article, the author, based on an analysis of materials from a survey of students and cadets of KSTU and BFFSA, examines patriotic views of students and draws conclusions about the corresponding opinions. The survey conducted made it possible to monitor the development of the personal qualities of a citizen-patriot. This study will help university lecturers, university teachers of History, Philosophy and of the foundations of Russian statehood to find the most effective methods and forms of pedagogical work within the framework of the taught disciplines in order to carry out effective patriotic education and have a positive impact on the worldview, axiological, value attitudes of modern students. Based on the results obtained, appropriate adjustments can be made to the educational plan of the university.

Психологическая безопасность образовательной среды: становление направления и перспективы развития

<p style="text-align: justify;">Psychological problems of safety in the modern world have acquired an extremely high relevance due to the growing spectrum of threats present in the socio-cultural environment. Research on the problems of psychological safety of the educational environment and its subjects is one of the areas of achieving the goal set by the decree of President V. V. Putin on the national development goals of Russia until 2030. The purpose of this publication is to analyze the history, current state and prospects for the development of this area in educational psychology and other areas of psychological research. Research design. Research in this area began at the end of the 20th century and is actively continuing today. In 2003, we developed and defended the concept of psychological safety of the educational environment, assessment methods and creation technologies, which still serve as a guide for new theoretical and practical developments. Results. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, we argue that it is a safe educational environment that maintains the state of human psychological safety. Safety means the presence of certain conditions necessary for life, development and activity. The educational environment is a set of conditions in which the formation and development of a person occurs throughout their entire life. A modern student interacts with many social environments: family, street, media environment, Internet environment, educational environment of a school and additional education organizations, etc.</p>

Доброта и сострадание в оптике новой психологической нормальности

The introduction substantiates the relevance of studying the modes of prosocial behavior in the conditions of new psychological normal, conditioned by informatization and digitalization of society, breaking of habitual behavioral algorithms during the pandemic, adjustment of rules and norms of interaction. Theoretical analysis and earlier studies allow us to differentiate compassion and kindness in terms of motives, goals and results of prosocial behavior: if compassion is associated with empathic connection, sympathy, resonant co-tuning with the Other, providing him with his own resources, kindness is interpreted as voluntary acceptance of responsibility for the present and future of the Other through the mobilization of his resources. Empirical analysis. The objective of this research is to study compassion and kindness as different modes of prosocial behavior from the point of view of their typicality and significance in the behavioral repertoire of modern students, the possibility of adequate recognition depending on the location of the Other on the scale “Acquaintance – Stranger”. Participants: psychology students (N = 76; M = 24.4; SD = 9.5). Methods: survey and psychological testing with the Kindness and Compassion Scenario Scale (Gilbert P. et al.). Conclusion. It has been revealed that the significance and typicality of the implementation of behavioral scenarios constructed with regard to the norms of prosocial behavior indicates their insufficient priority and demand. It is found that when the mode of kindness is more accurately recognized, compassion is equally well identified in relation to both familiar and unfamiliar people, whereas kindness is better identified in relation to familiar people and corresponds with altruistic investment.

Мой идеальный университет: физические и нефизические категории среды в представлениях студентов

<p>The article addresses the issue of identifying the needs of modern students in relation to the university educational environment. The study involved 48 architecture students aged 18 to 27 years (M=19.81; Mo=19; SD=1.82), including 83.33% girls (n=40) and 16.67% boys (n=8). The aim was to identify the most significant categories of the university educational environment. The research, which utilized a projective method – an essay titled "My Ideal University" – and content analysis of the responses, revealed that students consider non-physical categories to be the most important for effective and comfortable study. These categories include the organization of the educational process, the quality of the teaching staff, the curriculum, and opportunities for personal development. To confirm these results, a chi-square test was conducted, showing that non-physical categories of the educational environment were significantly more important than physical ones (χ2=14.812, df=1, p=0.001). The most prominent physical environment categories mentioned by students included the equipment of offices and classrooms, the aesthetic qualities of the space, well-organized university grounds, coworking spaces, and rest areas in the interior. The data obtained can provide practical recommendations for designing new campuses or renovating and reconstructing existing universities. Precisely determining the optimal conditions for an effective and comfortable educational process will help avoid excessive financial investments in improving the physical environment.</p>

Inovasi Pembelajaran Nahwu dalam Kurikulum Bahasa Arab Modern

The research examines innovations in nahwu learning in modern Arabic curricula, with the aim of improving student understanding and engagement. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, involving the study of literature, document analysis, and interviews with Arabic education experts. Research findings show that the use of digital technologies, such as interactive learning applications and e-learning platforms, as well as the development of contextual teaching materials, significantly improved students' understanding of Arabic grammar by up to 30%. Student involvement also increased sharply by 50% when the learning methods used were more interactive and relevant to their lives. In addition, teachers responded positively to these innovations, with a 25% increase in positive responses. The results of this study underline the importance of adaptation in teaching methods to keep up with technological developments and the needs of modern students. Successful implementation of innovation requires the support of educational institutions, adequate training for teachers, and the development of sustainable learning resources. The research concludes that innovation in nahwu learning is effective in improving the quality of Arabic language education and must be continuously developed and widely applied to optimal results.

PENGELOLAAN E- LAYANAN KONSELING DALAM PENINGKATAN DISIPLIN PESERTA DIDIK BERBASIS WHATSAPP

Counseling services are less effective in conveying relevant and useful information to students, as well as the use of media is not optimal and there is a lack of time in providing counseling services to improve student discipline. Electronic counseling is an alternative that is relevant to technological developments and the needs of today's modern students. However, it is necessary to manage WhatsApp-based e-counseling services to improve student discipline at SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. The aim of this research is to determine the planning, implementation and obstacles to WhatsApp-based e-counseling services in improving student discipline. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were guidance and counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, and students. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation, then the data is analyzed through triangulation techniques. The results of this research show that planning WhatsApp-based e-counseling services was carried out through stages: 1) survey of student needs and interests; 2) communication with parents and homeroom teachers 3) formation of several Whatsapp groups; 4) distribution of tasks to guidance and counseling teachers; 5) and long term planning. The implementation of WhatsApp-based e-counseling services is carried out in stages: 1) Analysis of student needs via the assessment questionnaire link; 2) introduction of WhatsApp-based counseling materials to parents and students; 3) individual counseling and group counseling via WhatsApp; 4) follow-up to students who have not changed; 5) collaboration with parents and homeroom teachers to resolve cases. Obstacles in managing WhatsApp-based e-counseling services include: 1) students are late in filling out assessment questionnaires via the website; 2) misuse of WhatsApp; 3) technological limitations; 4) lack of non-verbal communication between counselors and students

The need to study student reading practices in the information society is due to a number of new phenomena of socio-cultural life. The structure and content of the reading has a significant impact on the professional and spiritual development of modern humanities students. The purpose of the study is to assess the level of influence of the structure and content of reading on the professional and spiritual development of modern students in the process of their education at a regional humanitarian university. The survey of students in grades 1–5 was carried out in the “Google Forms” environment, data processing using SPSS. Frequency analysis method and regression analysis were used in this work. As a result of regression analysis, analytical dependences of changes in the main characteristics of reading practices during the entire period of study in the real educational environment of a regional humanitarian university were obtained. The most popular in the student environment literary genres, attitudes to reading both fiction and professional literature, as well as models of the dynamics of reading practices of students, which form the basis for the development of social technologies to manage the reading process.

Ценностно-смысловое отношение к институту семьи современных студентов гуманитарного направления подготовки

<p><em>In this article, the authors raise topical problems of the attitude of modern students of the humanities in preparation for creating a family, family values; an in-depth analysis of the value-semantic attitude towards the institution of family as a socially significant system for society and the state is given. To date, there has been a change in the attitude of the younger generation to the institution of family and marriage, namely: changing the understanding of the role and importance of the family in the minds of the younger generation, devaluing the institution of the family. The study and in-depth analysis of theoretical sources led us to the conclusion that modern youth are characterized by a decline in interest in starting a family and the very institution of marriage. The authors attempted a pilot study of students’ value attitudes toward the family system using a developed questionnaire, which was a series of questions aimed at studying the identified problem. Having analyzed the results obtained, the authors came to the conclusion that the values of the younger generation in relation to the institution of the family as a whole are quite positive. Respondents note the need for the family as a social institution, but at the same time the problem of understanding and realizing the value of the traditional family for the harmonious development of the child is clearly identified.</em></p>

"Empowering the Modern Student”: The Impact of Digital Transformation on Education

In recent years, the rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly reshaped various facets of society, with education standing at the forefront of this transformation. This transformation offers students enhanced access to information, greater flexibility in learning, and the opportunity to develop skills essential for the modern workforce. The major objective of this study is to study the demographical impact on individual and overall factors of digital era transformations in the current society The study is purely descriptive. Random sampling method is used to collect the data from students who ae studying in schools, Arts and Science colleges and Engineering colleges in and around Vijayawada. Sample size of the study is 200. The questionnaire had 15 questions and the respondents were asked to rate their response on a 5point Likert’s scale, 1 being the least and 5 being top for pilot study. The analysis of variance is done by using R Programming, pivot table and charts by using Ms Excel. Findings of this study are the respondents whose age is below 30 and qualification is SSC, Degree leads to significantly influenced the factors of digital era transformations in the society. A Critical Analysis of Modern Educational Research and Teaching Strategies in Nigerian Educational System

The study critically analysed modern educational research and teaching strategies in Nigerian educational system. Technology has certainly changed the way we live. It has impacted different facets of life and redefined living. Undoubtedly, technology plays an important role in every sphere of life. Also, many complex and critical processes can be carried out with ease and greater efficiency with the help of modern technology. However, the teachers are afraid of technological advancement as they need to keep upgrading. Whereas, the learners/students are conversant with the latest technology and can easily cross check whatever that is taught in the class at an instance. Teachers using analog methods to teach modern students create discouragement for learning. More so, because of the emergent in modern educational research there is a shift from teacher-centered to student-centered approach as a result prioritize student engagement, creativity and critical thinking, preparing students for the future. It therefore concluded that as a medium for massive change, technology has improved our existing understanding by assisting educators and students in making the most use of cutting-edge teaching techniques.

THE ROLE OF HISTORICAL ARCHITECTURAL MONUMENTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SENSE OF HOMELAND AMONG MODERN STUDENTS (IN THE EXAMPLE OF THE ARCHITECTURAL MONUMENTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KARAKALPAKSTAN)

This article explores the role of historical architectural monuments in developing a sense of homeland among modern students in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. By examining key examples the study highlights how these structures serve as tangible connections to the region's cultural and historical heritage. The article investigates how engagement with these monuments enhances students' understanding of their cultural roots, fosters a sense of belonging, and promotes civic pride.

Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya: Revised edition and translation

This is a revised edition and English translation of the Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya, published as a stand alone supplement to the main article, "Revised Editions of the Prajnaparamitahrdaya and Xīn jīng", by Jayarava Attwood. A revision of Conze’s (1948, 1967) editions of the Heart Sutra have been long overdue because of (unnoticed) errors in his Sanskrit. In the present edition, Conze’s mistakes are repaired and his haphazard Romanisation is brought into line with modern scholarly standards. The modern student of Prajñāpāramitā can now, for the first time, read a Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya text that is fully parsable as Sanskrit. The accompanying translation eschews reading the texts in terms of mystical contradictions or Madhyamaka metaphysics. The reading here interprets the Heart Sutra as concerned with the soteriological value of deep meditative states, especially the cessation of sensory experience (nirodha) and the state of absence of sensory experience (śūnyatā). The Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya is a back-translation from Chinese and, for this reason, the Sanskrit edition should be read in combination with the Chinese.

Communicative skills of a teacher-choreographer as a means of students forming emotional and aesthetic experience

Importance. Changes in society entail the presentation of new requirements for the teacher as a specialist and personality. Today, teaching Internet-dependent students who require little communication is a specialized skill that demands emotionally intense communicative skills from teachers aimed at engaging them in a productive educational process. The communicative skills of the choreographer-teacher should contribute to the emotional and aesthetic experience formation of students. This experience is formed in the interaction process between a teacher and a student, subject to correction of age-related, individual socially conditioned deformations of the students’ personality. The purpose of the study is to establish the need for developing the communicative skills of a choreographer teacher as an effective way to enhance the emotional and aesthetic development of students.Research Methods. The following methods are used: analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, systematization and comparison, generalization of the author’s experience, observation, which enabled the substantiation of the emotionally and aesthetically saturated communicative component of the teacher’s activity as a leader in the process of forming the emotional and aesthetic experience of students and a dance group. On the basis of the main provisions of the systemic, cultural, activity-centered, personality-focused approaches, the development of interrelated blocks of personality qualities and properties in the emotionally saturated communicative learning process is shown: cognitive, psychological-dynamic and morally significant.Results and Discussion. It is proved that the teacher’s communicative skill are the key to achieving high educational and outcomes through the varied methods’ use of interaction with students. These skills are essential for effectively addressing their socio-psychological and personal issues. The direct correlation between the learning process results and the teacher's competence level in emotional and aesthetic communication with students has been established. A specialized course has been designed for choreographers to enhance their emotional and aesthetic component of communicative skills, which encompasses psychological, dynamic, and moral aspects of personality development.Conclusion. Based on the results of theoretical and empirical research, the structure of an emotionally saturated, aesthetic communicative aspect of the pedagogical skill of a choreographer teacher has been developed. Success in the formation of the modern students’ emotional and aesthetic experience is achievable provided that there is a high level of communicative skills of the teacher, the formation of which is facilitated by the developed special course “Enhancing the communicative skills of a choreographer teacher”.

Critical Thinking as a Pedagogical Category: A Comparative Aspect

The article is dedicated to a comparative analysis of critical thinking as a pedagogical category in the works of Ukrainian and foreign researchers. Critical thinking is considered as a necessary component of modern education aimed at developing students' abilities for analysis, synthesis, and making informed decisions in various life situations. Various approaches to the development of critical thinking in education in Ukraine and abroad are analyzed; common and distinctive features in the scientific approaches in the works of Ukrainian and foreign researchers are identified. During the research, methods of comparative analysis, systematic approach, synthesis, and generalization of scientific and pedagogical literature were applied. It is concluded that the development of critical thinking is a key factor in improving the quality of education. It has been proven that the integration of the best foreign practices into Ukrainian educational programs will contribute to the preparation of highly qualified specialists capable of adapting to the conditions of a globalized world. The prospects for further research are outlined, including the development of innovative techniques for the development of critical thinking, taking into account the specifics of Ukrainian education and the needs of modern students.
