Analysis of Promoting High Quality Industrial Development through Technological Innovation in the New Development Stage of Sichuan Province

High quality industrial development is the foundation of high-quality economic development. The high-quality development of industries must be driven by technological innovation. This article examines the status of technological innovation in the new development stage of Sichuan Province for high-quality industrial development, and puts forward relevant suggestions. The article takes the new development stage as the background, analyzes and compares the characteristics of scientific and technological innovation and high-quality industrial development between China and Sichuan, and then analyzes the theoretical mechanism of promoting high-quality industrial development through scientific and technological innovation from four aspects: industrial structure, talent, green development, and innovation platform. Subsequently, the industrial systems of Sichuan Province's "5+1" modern industrial system, "10+3" modern agricultural system, and "4+6" modern service industry system were analyzed, and the problems existing in the high-quality development of Sichuan's industries in terms of research and development investment, enterprise innovation, and innovation platforms were proposed. Finally, relevant suggestions were put forward to address the issues raised.

Current Situation and Development Measurements on Health Industry in Panzhihua City — A Research on data of the Fourth National Economic Census

Health care industry is an important part of the modern service industry, and it is a new point for enhancing economic growth. Moreover, it is of great significance for Panzhihua city in successfully transforming from the traditional resource-based city. However, the statistical investigation methods and index system in the industry are not perfect, which seriously restricts the investigation and research of the health care industry. This paper uses the data of the fourth economic census combined with the standard system established for the health industry released by the Panzhihua Bureau of Statistics to analyze the current situation and problems of the health industry in the city, and discusses the development measurements on the industry, so as to help and promote the development of the health industry in the city.

The factors driving industrial integration: A fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis

The integration of modern service and advanced manufacturing industries represents deep industrial reform and profound change in quality concepts, mechanisms, and practices. Integrating these two industries is important for achieving high-quality development and is an area of interest for policymakers and academia. This study analyzes the data of 11 regions in 2021 in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area using the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method from the configuration perspective. This study explores the effects of multiple factors, such as economic efficiency, technological innovation, and the policy environment, on improving the coupling coordination level of the modern service and advanced manufacturing industries, and analyzes the path selection of industrial integration development. Overall, economic efficiency, technological innovation, and policy environment factors are not necessary conditions for the integration development of the modern service and advanced manufacturing industries. The multiple impacts of economic efficiency, technological innovation, and policy environment form a multi-restructuring path that drives the integration of the two industries. Owing to the economic development level and resource endowment of different regions, the path dictating the degree of integration between the two industries varies by region. From a holistic perspective, all regions should strive to coordinate the multiple conditions of economic efficiency, technological innovation, and policy environment to break through objective constraints such as the government's conditions and external environment based on their own organizational conditions and resource endowments. Additionally, all regions should strengthen exchanges, cooperation, and integration mechanisms and implement complementary development and distinctive development in core cities in the Greater Bay Area. The results clarify the factors affecting industrial convergence in the Greater Bay Area, enriching existing research methods and laying a foundation for a decision-making theory of industrial integration development.

Does service-oriented manufacturing improve customer stability?

Stabilizing customer relationships plays an important role in improving supply chain resilience. Based on a sample of A-share listed companies in the manufacturing industry from 2009 to 2022, this work investigates the impact of SOM(service-oriented manufacturing) on supply chain resilience from the perspective of customer stability. The results showed that SOM has a positive impact on customer relationship stability, indicating that manufacturing enterprises carrying out SOM can improve customer relationship stability, and this stable relationship is long lasting. Analysis of service-oriented manufacturing structure reveals that service that supports the supplier's product (e.g., after-sale services) is less effective in promoting customer relationship stability than service that supports the customer (e.g., training service). This study theoretically expands the research on the allocation of enterprise resources among supply chains, promotes the deep integration of modern service industry and advanced manufacturing industry, and provides experience for implementation of relevant decision-making and deployment of supply chain security and stability in practice.

The modern economy is undergoing processes of structural transformation. The economies of developed countries go through these transformations somewhat earlier, and the economies of developing countries - with a time shift. At the same time, one of the general fundamental trends is a decrease in the share of traditional sectors, in particular industry, in the output structure. As a result, there is a transition to a post-industrial economy. The transformation processes do not end there. The quantitatively developing tertiary (service) sector of the economy is also changing its structure. It highlights the creative economy sector, which is based on creative industries. This is a specific sector of the modern service industry. The article analyzes the role of creative industries as a specific sector of the service sector in the context of the transition from an industrial type of production to a post-industrial one. The author emphasizes the influence of creative industries on economic development and innovation, based on an analysis of changes in the structure of employment and the specifics of consumption in developed countries. Particular attention is paid to how the expansion and deepening of creative industries contributes to economic progress, greater innovation and changes in the nature and structure of employment, transforming society as a whole. The article also examines trends in the development of creative industries and their ability to adapt to the rapidly changing conditions of the global market, emphasizing their role in the formation of a model of sustainable economic and social development. The need to strengthen government support for creative industries is pointed out, because they can become one of the key factors in ensuring Russia's competitiveness in a post-normal world.

Spatial and Temporal Distribution and Flow Characteristics of High-Quality Development of Modern Service Industry in Chinese Sub-provincial Cities

Based on the new development concept of the service industry, this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system for the high-quality development of modern service industry from a total of 22 indicators in four dimensions, namely, development efficiency, structural optimization, innovation agglomeration and industrial scale. The composite index of 15 sub-provincial cities in China from 2013 to 2022 was measured by entropy weight method, describing the current development status and development differences of each city, and with the help of Kernel density estimation method and Dagum Gini coefficient method, the law of inter-city evolution was inscribed, which revealed the spatial differences of the four major geographic regions and their sources and contributions. The study shows that the overall high-quality development of the service industry in the 15 cities is at a relatively low level, with obvious differences, but all of them are on a slowly rising trend. According to the division of the four major geographic regions, the northeast region has the largest intra-regional differences, and the eastern region has the smallest intra-regional differences. Meanwhile, the spatial imbalance between regions is still aggravating, and there is a clear differentiation between the development level of the eastern and western regions.

Synergistic industrial agglomeration, new quality productive forces and high-quality development of the manufacturing industry

This study analysed the impact of the mechanism of the synergistic agglomeration of manufacturing and modern service industries on the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry using the entropy value method, coupling coordination degree, and E-G index. We utilised panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2012 to 2022. The study found that synergistic agglomeration significantly promotes the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, in which ‘new quality productive forces’ play a key intermediary effect, while the innovation ecosystem has direct and indirect moderating effects on the relationship between the two. Simultaneously, industrial synergistic agglomeration, development of new productivity, construction of innovation ecosystems, and high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in all provinces and cities showed a steady increase; however, there were significant differences between regions. Based on the findings of the study, policy recommendations are suggested to further promote the synergistic development of the manufacturing industry and modern service industry. At the policy level, the government should strengthen the guidance and support of industrial synergistic agglomeration and formulate differentiated policies to promote industrial synergistic agglomeration; simultaneously, it should pay attention to the cultivation of new productivity and the construction of innovation ecosystems, optimise the allocation of innovation resources, and stimulate the vitality of innovation. At the industrial level, manufacturing enterprises should actively cooperate with modern service enterprises to achieve resource sharing and technological complementation; modern service industries should improve service quality and efficiency to meet the needs of manufacturing transformation and upgrading; and close cooperation between the industry, academia, and research institutes should be established to promote technological innovation and industrial upgradation.

Research on the Development Strategy of Smart Tourism in Hainan Under the Background of Big Data

Hainan is a major tourist province. It is urgent to promote the transformation and upgrading of Hainan’s tourism industry from a traditional service industry to a modern service industry by means of informatization. Smart tourism is a brand-new tourism form and operation mode of tourism transformation and upgrading. Integrating big data technology will make smart tourism more accurate in three aspects: tourism management, tourism service, and tourism marketing, and further enhance the satisfaction of the tourism experience. This paper studies the development status of smart tourism in Hainan, deeply summarizes its existing problems and causes, and puts forward the development strategy of smart tourism in Hainan to promote the healthy development of the tourism industry in Hainan.

Research on the Evaluation of the High-Quality Development of the Modern Service Industry under the Background of Reduction Development: A Case Study of Beijing

With the popularization and practice of the concept of reduction development, how to accurately and comprehensively evaluate the high-quality development effect of the modern service industry has become crucial. This paper combines the concept of reduction development and high-quality development. According to the specific background of reduction development, this paper constructs the evaluation index system of high-quality development of the modern service industry in the context of reduction development from the four dimensions of total scale control, urban function strengthening, economic quality improvement and livable environment optimization and puts forward the evaluation model of high-quality development of the modern service industry based on the entropy weight TOPSIS method. Taking Beijing’s modern service industry as an example, our empirical analysis showed that from 2008 to 2021, its high-quality development level showed a steady upward trend. The total scale has been effectively controlled, and the service industry has performed well in employment absorption. Scientific and technological innovation and cultural functions have developed significantly, but the level of openness needs to be improved. Economic quality maintained stable development, and the livable environment also showed a good development trend.

An Empirical Study of the Determinants of Digital Trade Competitiveness in APEC Economies: Based on Porter’s Diamond Model

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the impact of each factor on the international competitiveness of digital trade by selecting nine major APEC digital trading countries based on Porter’s “Diamond Model”. Design/Methodology/Approach – Based on Porter’s “Diamond Model”, this study established indicators influencing the national competitiveness of nine APEC member countries, and panel analysis was conducted by selecting eight indicators, including digital trade exports (DTE), production factors, demand conditions, corporate organization, strategy and competition, related and supporting industry performance, and government and opportunities, as explanatory variables. Findings – According to the panel regression analysis results, among the explanatory variables, both the number of fixed infrastructure broadband subscribers (FBS) and services trade exports (CSE) had a significant positive effect on digital trade competitiveness. Research Implications – The development of digital trade is closely related to the support of various infrastructure facilities, and information and communication technology-based digital trade has to offer technical assurances and methods for data input and output for industrial development. Most traditional service industries in APEC member countries still account for a large proportion. The export growth of service trade heavily relies on the overall improvement of the competitiveness of the service trade. Therefore, it is necessary to seize the development opportunities of the service trade, expand the export market share of traditional service industries, and actively develop emerging modern service industries to promote the harmonious development of the overall service trade industry and enhance the international competitiveness of digital trade.

The influence of knowledge-intensive service industry agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration on regional economy

Knowledge-intensive service industry has become an important part of social economy, which not only promotes the innovation of modern service industry, but also promotes the upgrading and transformation of manufacturing industry. The agglomeration of knowledge-intensive service industry is not only the inevitable result of economic growth, but also the premise of sustained economic growth. Moreover, China's national economy is transforming from an industrialized economy to a service-oriented and knowledge-based economy, and the importance of knowledge-intensive service industry is increasing day by day. This paper constructs a theoretical framework of the influence of population agglomeration on the economic development of urban agglomerations. The article holds that population agglomeration promotes the economic development of urban agglomerations through the upgrading of industrial structure and the promotion of human capital. In the future, we need to focus on the similarities and differences between population agglomeration and economic development of urban agglomerations in central China, explore the factors of economic development of urban agglomerations, and provide reasonable suggestions for the government to formulate relevant economic policies. This paper, from an innovative research perspective, based on the perspective of population agglomeration, studies the path of its role in regional economic development, which can make up for this defect to some extent. Moreover, the research object has been innovated and the research method has been improved. On the basis of the above, the panel data of the Yangtze River Delta from 2012 to 2021 is selected as the research sample, the location entropy index is taken as the explanatory variable, the regional gross domestic product (GDP) is taken as the explanatory variable, and the rationality of economic theory and the significance of econometric test are considered. Finally, the data are analyzed and tested by regression. The empirical analysis of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration proves the importance of knowledge-intensive service industry agglomeration to regional economic development. Finally, based on the contribution of knowledge-intensive service industry agglomeration to regional economy, the development of knowledge-intensive service industry and the promotion of industrial agglomeration are studied.

Strategic Design of Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Professional Literacy Teaching Content in the Modern Service Industry Program in Higher Education Institutions

Abstract The modern service industry is a new engine driving economic and social development, and the introduction of intelligent technology to optimize the optimization of professional teaching content can provide a source of motivation for the cultivation of high-quality professional service talents. This paper selects two dimensions of teaching resources recommendation and professional setting of the modern service industry in higher vocational colleges for analysis. In terms of teaching resource recommendation, the driver algorithm is used to collect teaching resources of the modern service industry, extract the resource characteristics of teaching content through keywords, and input them into the intelligent recommendation model of teaching content that combines capsule network and attention mechanism. In terms of adaptability of professional settings and industrial structures, the adaptability of modern service industry teaching can be verified through the aggregation degree, coincidence degree, and deviation degree. In this way, the optimization strategy for teaching content and professional settings in the modern service industry in higher vocational colleges is proposed. When using the model of this paper to carry out the recommendation of teaching resources for the modern service industry, the maximum gap in the COV value of the course teaching resources recommendation is 6.4 percentage points, and the fluctuation range of the NDCG value is between 4.45 and 4.79. The fit between the structure of students enrolled in the modern service industry and the tertiary industry ranged from −0.352 to −0.396, and the mean values of industry deviation and employment deviation were 0.292 and 0.499, respectively. Higher vocational colleges and universities should continuously promote the fitness of teaching resources and students, and establish a benign closed-loop consensus mechanism for industrial development and specialty settings.

Digital Economy Empowering the Transformation of Hainan's Modern Service Industry

In the context of the digital economy, the development of Hainan's modern service industry faces problems such as rising resource factor costs, shortage of high-quality talents, low service efficiency, and slow industrial digital transformation. Based on the connotation of digital economy empowering the transformation of modern service industry, starting from the development status of Hainan's modern service industry, this article uses SPSS software to research and analyze the influencing factors of Hainan's modern service industry transformation under digital economy empowerment, and then proposes countermeasures for the main influencing factors. This study found that technological innovation capabilities, employee quality, brand reputation, market demand and consumer trends were the main influencing factors for the transformation of Hainan's modern service industry under the empowerment of the digital economy. This article puts forward corresponding transformation suggestions for these influencing factors.

Connotation analysis of vocational literacy of higher vocational students in modern service industry based on MOA model

Abstract In order to cope with the challenges of the rapid development of the information society and economy, the educational reform aiming at students’ development of vocational literacy in higher vocational education has become a basic consensus in the field of global education. Based on MOA theory, this paper constructs the research hypotheses on the influencing factors of vocational literacy of higher vocational students in the modern service industry from the dimensions of motivation, opportunity and ability. Multiple linear regression theory is introduced to analyze the influencing factors of vocational literacy of higher vocational students in the modern service industry, and the regression coefficients are estimated by penalized quantile regression. In order to verify the application validity of the research hypotheses and regression model constructed based on MOA theory in this paper, an empirical analysis was carried out by using the data in the way of a questionnaire survey. The results show that the factor loading values of each variable of the model are higher than the critical value of 0.6, and most of the factor loading values are above 0.8. The correlation coefficients between vocational literacy and the dimensions of the influencing factors are all in the range of 0.2-0.5, and the adjusted R2 results of the model of motivation, opportunity as well and competence exceed 65% of the degree of explanation. The connotation of vocational literacy for higher vocational students of the modern service industry under the MOA theory needs to deeply excavate their motivation for learning and pay attention to the construction of the internal and external environments as a way of improving the learning ability of the students.

A study on the path of ideological and political construction of English courses for tourism majors in higher vocational colleges

As an important part of modern service industry, tourism industry has become an important force to promote the development of national economy and the improvement of people's quality of life. The training of tourism major in higher vocational colleges is the key link to ensure the sustainable development of tourism industry. However, with the rapid development of the society and the increasing frequency of international exchanges, tourism students not only need to obtain solid professional knowledge and skills, but also need to have a high level of English to meet the needs of international exchanges. Exploring the Effects of Socioeconomic Factors and Urban Forms on CO2 Emissions in Shrinking and Growing Cities

Exploring the mechanisms influencing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions is crucial to seeking low-carbon development paths. Previous studies have analyzed the effects of socioeconomic factors and urban forms on CO2 emissions. However, little attention has been paid to the heterogeneity of their interactions in differing urban development patterns, such as growth and shrinkage. This study focused on how socioeconomic factors and urban forms work together to comprehensively affect CO2 emissions within the context of urban shrinkage and growth. A selection of 285 prefecture-level cities in China were divided into four groups of shrinking and growing cities based on a comprehensive index system. After assessing variables involving socioeconomic factors and urban forms, a panel data model was used to verify their mutual mechanisms influencing CO2 emissions. The results show that CO2 emissions in shrinking cities continue to rise due to the driving force of secondary industry and the coexistence of population loss and space expansion. For growing cities, in addition to economic development and population growth, urban forms with excessive compactness and polycentricity significantly accelerate CO2 emissions. Consequently, disorderly urban expansion should be avoided, and industrial upgrading should be promoted for shrinking cities. Meanwhile, growing cities are advised to develop modern service industries. Moreover, it is recommended that urban spatial planning follows urban functions and their development stages to avoid excessive agglomeration and polycentricity.

Two parallel-machine scheduling with maximum waiting time for an emergency job

In modern manufacturing and service industries, urgent orders and service tasks are common, and the speed of handling such urgent tasks is an important indicator of production and service efficiency. In this study, we consider scheduling jobs on two parallel machines with the random arrival of an emergency job. The objective is to minimise the makespan, subject to a given maximum waiting time of the emergency job. We first show that the worst-case ratio of the existing algorithm LPT l -SPT m − l is at least 3/2 when m = 2. We then analyse some properties of the optimal schedule and derive lower bounds on the optimal makespan. Finally, we present an improved approximation algorithm with a tight worst-case ratio of 4/3. We also provide numerical results showing that our proposed algorithm outperforms algorithm LPT l -SPT m − l .
