SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS OF THE ENGINEERING TROOPS

The specifics of the educational process of military educational institutions (combination of military and civilian specialties in one educational program; the need to acquire a volume of knowledge that enables a graduate to solve military-professional tasks without experience of performing official duties) necessitates changes to the military-professional training of cadets, in particular, future specialists of engineering troops. The main purpose of article is to outline the basic system characteristics of the professional training of future engineering troops. During the work on the article, the following methods were used: theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the research problem for the selection and understanding of didactic material; critical analysis of concepts, theories and methods in order to determine ways to solve the problem under study. The generated changes should be implemented systematically and cover the entire process of military professional training of military engineers; to take into account the key requirements for the training of future specialists of the engineering troops (correspondence of the content of the engineering training to the nature of the service and combat activities of the troops and the tasks being performed, to the features of the areas of future actions; the study of scientific achievements, the experience of engineering support for the operations of the troops during martial law in various conditions and their introduction into the practice of engineering training; effective use and development of educational material base). The system characteristics of the training of future specialists of engineering troops are, in particular, compliance by military educational institutions and special training centers with a set of requirements of educational and professional standards. These standards reflect the vision of the state, society and the Ministry of Defense of the integral personality of future specialists of engineering troops. The system levers of improving the military professional training of military engineers include the improvement of the quality of military training of mobilized and servicemen, as a certain balanced compliance with the needs of the state, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the higher military school. Realization of the potential of information technologies is an important factor in the innovation of training of military engineers. The use of information technologies usually involves a change in the actual logic of the educational (training) process, the vector of which is already directed not from theory to practice, but from gaining new experience to its theoretical awareness. At the same time, increasing the efficiency of training military specialists is made possible by intensifying the process of understanding, assimilation, and creative application of knowledge when solving practical tasks. Intensification of the process of professional training of future specialists of the engineering forces in the conditions of an electronic informational educational environment is implemented by: ensuring the necessary access to sources of information that expands the boundaries of the worldview of listeners and cadets; creation of conditions and opportunities for quick and effective search, processing, analysis, and saving of the necessary information.

After the Union of Bessarabia with Romania (1918), the necessary premises were created for the connection of the education from the province to the national values. The subjects of study were taught in Romanian. In Chișinău, a military high school was set up to form the military and patriotic elite. Based on archival sources, memoirs, period press and literature, it will be presented the process of establishing this educational institution in the second city, by population, in greater Romania, as well as its evolution. Thus, in the historical context, the human resources (teachers, pupils) and the activity framework of “Ferdinand I” Military High School in Chișinău will be highlighted.

The relevance of the chosen research topic is due to the fact that the psychological mechanisms of reflexive development of military professional activity of future officers have not been studied so extensively in comparison with other specialties, professions. For a long time, the reflexive component in the armed forces was considered practically insignificant due to the specifics of service activities and the organization of forms of relationship between military personnel. To date, the Higher military school within the framework of the reform of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is in the process of renewal. The article presents the results of an empirical study of correlations between the reflexivity of cadets and self-efficacy. the higher the reflexivity, the better developed are such components as subject self-efficacy, interpersonal self-efficacy, general level of self-efficacy, motivation of professional competence, perseverance, self- organization, orientation to the present, general level of organization.

UPDATE OF THE EXPERIENCE OF ORGANIZING LEGAL EDUCATION OF OFFICERS IN HIGHER MILITARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE: A COMPETENT APPROACH

This article offers a comprehensive analysis of viable tactics for integrating legal education into higher military education in Ukraine in a creative manner. The central objective is to leverage a competency-based methodology to equip officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to execute their legally mandated professional duties competently. The authors posit that this approach is highly efficacious in achieving favorable outcomes. The article emphasizes the importance of utilizing interactive teaching methods, independent work of cadets, and extracurricular activities related to legal education. These approaches contribute to the efficient acquisition of relevant knowledge and skills. In order to enhance the competencies of officers, it is highly recommended to adopt positive practices that are interactive in nature. Some of the most effective methods include incorporating business games, conducting case studies, and utilizing training exercises. Additionally, it is highly beneficial to involve legal professionals in the teaching process, as they can provide valuable insights and expertise. By implementing these strategies, officers can develop their skills and knowledge base, ultimately leading to improved performance and success in their roles. The research findings confirm that the experience of implementing legal education for officers in a higher military school in Ukraine encompasses valuable examples that support the implementation of competency-based principles. These positive practices foster the development of necessary skills and knowledge in the field of military law, equipping officers to address legally regulated situations during their service. In summary, the article explores the potential of the competency-based approach in organizing the legal education of officers in a higher military school in Ukraine. This article provides recommendations for the use of interactive methods and the involvement of legal professionals in the educational process, aiming to enhance the preparation of military experts in the field of military law and ensure their successful performance during service.

Комплексная модель системы иноязычного обучения в высшей военной школе

To build a system of foreign language education in military universities using the modeling method, it is necessary to take into account all the key aspects of professionally-oriented subject training. A model of the system of foreign language education at the higher military school, including interrelated modules, is proposed: resource-normative (prerequisites, regulatory framework); axiological-target (concepts, goals, functions); theoretical-methodological (approaches and principles); content-technological (educational and professional communicative situations, content, technologies); procedural and evaluative (stages, levels of language proficiency, assessment indicators). The main structural elements of the model are described: functions (communicative, educational, ideological, informational, social, cultural, integrating, developing); approaches (competence, communicative, personal-activity, socio-cultural and others); content (language, speech, thematic and competence components); technologies (mnemonic circuits, design, gaming, problem-search, digital); language proficiency levels (low, elementary, basic, high advanced), etc. This model allows us to comprehensively consider the process of foreign language learning as a single set of interrelated elements and, based on this, manage the learning process.

C.D. Fortunescu, personalitate marcantă a vieții culturale din Oltenia

C. D. Fortunescu was born on the 28th of October 1874, in Craiova. He finished Carol I High-School from Craiova and he graduated the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy within the University of Bucharest. After graduation, he returned to Craiova, where he worked as a French teacher at Carol I High-School and the Military High-School. In 1931 he held the position of general secretary within the Ministry of Public Instruction. In Craiova, he founded several cultural magazines: Gazeta școalei, Lumina satelor, Năzuința. The most outstanding accomplishments of C. D. Fortunescu remain the founding of “Prietenii Științei”- Friends of Science Club and “Arhivele Olteniei” magazine

A Machine Learning Approach to Identify the Feature Importance for Admission in the National Military High Schools

Abstract The article provides the impact of different averages (feature importance) within the admission exam for the national military high schools using and testing three supervised machine learning algorithms: logistic regression, K-Nearest Neighbors, and random forest. For this purpose, I have used the list with the results of candidates compounded by 430 rows, an unclassified document posted on the national military high school website, with details about: the final admission grade, the general grade for graduating of the secondary school, the general grade obtained at the national assessment, the mark obtained at admission test from Romanian language and mathematics items, etc. From the machine learning perspective, I have built a Jupyter notebook, a Python code using the specialized ML libraries (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, sklearn). In conclusion, the logistic regression algorithm identified the ‘feature importance’ (how each variable contributes to the predicted model) for admission in the national military high school: the mark obtained at admission test from Romanian language and Mathematics items - 4.821834, the general average obtained at the national assessment - 0.584434, the general average for graduating of the secondary school - 0.285446, etc. These are the expected results based on the admission methodology for the national military high schools.

AN EVALUATION OF ANCIENT HISTORY WRITING THROUGH TWO SECTIONS OF SÜLEYMAN HÜSNÜ PASHA’S TARİH-İ ÂLEM (1876)

XIX. yüzyılda Osmanlı Devleti’nde birtakım reformlar gerçekleştirilmiştir, doğal olarak bunlar eğitim alanına da yansımıştır. Örneğin tarih anlayışındaki değişim, XIX. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren tarih eğitimi alanında meyvelerini vermeye başlamıştır. Bu bağlamda Umumi Tarih dersi orta ve yüksek eğitim kurumlarının müfredatına konulmuştur. İçeriği ise sadece İslam ve Osmanlı tarihiyle sınırlı kalmayıp, farklı coğrafyaların ve milletlerin tarihlerini de ele almaya başlayan bir dünya tarihi formatına bürünmüştür. Bu dönemde yeni müfredata uygun ders kitapları hazırlanmaya başlanmıştır. Bunlardan biri de askeri liselerin ikinci sınıfında okutulmak üzere Süleyman Hüsnü Paşa tarafından hazırlanan Tarih-i Âlem’dir. 1876 yılında yayınlanan kitap, Osmanlı Devleti’nde telif edilen ilk umumi tarih ders kitapları arasında yer almaktadır. Eser, sadece Eskiçağ tarihiyle ilgilidir. Tarih-i Âlem’de eski ile yeni metotlar, geleneksel ile modern tarih anlayışı ve anlatılar, Doğulu ve Batılı kaynaklar ve tarihsel yaklaşımlar harmanlanmıştır. Bu çalışmayla Tarih-i Âlem’in içeriği, formatı ve metodu analiz edilecek, yöntemde ve konu içeriği seçiminde neden bir standardın uygulan(a)madığı irdelenecektir. Bu amaçla farklı tarih yazımı geleneklerinin bulunduğu iki bölüm örnek olarak seçilmiştir. Bunlardan biri geleneksel tarih ve kutsal tarih anlayışının temsil edildiği Ezmine-i Evveliye bölümü, diğeri ise modern tarih anlayışına daha yakın olan Ezmine-i Esâtiriye bölümünden Asya-yı Suğra kısmıdır. Her iki bölümün günümüz harflerine aktarımı eklerde verilmiştir.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE EXPERIMENTAL PROGRAM OF PHYSICAL TRAINING OF STUDENTS ON ANTHROPOMETRIC INDICATORS AND FUNCTIONAL DATA OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM

The problem of quality training of officers of artillery units of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the present stage of development of military equipment, tactics and operational art requires future officers not only a high level of professional training, but also the most effective development of physical and psychological qualities. Ensuring compliance with the appropriate level of professional readiness in conditions of high motor activity in combat situations and in stressful situations. Steady increase in the role and expansion of the range of tasks to be solved during enemy fire destruction, significant increase in firepower of means of destruction (range and accuracy, rapid fire, ammunition power) increases the requirements for professional training of artillery commanders. In peacetime and wartime, the military-professional activity of officers of JI ground artillery units is to develop standards for combat operations and conduct combat shootings, which requires constant maintenance of comprehensive training. Today’s educational process in the walls of higher military educational institutions urgently needs to be reformatted and practical professional and applied orientation of all its components to the new mode of study, conditions of military service, recreation, psychological and physical stress of cadets. This is accompanied by the adaptation of the youth organism to innovations, will affect the level of physical development and physical condition of future military professionals, which was a generating factor in the detailed study of this aspect. The purpose of our study is to determine the effectiveness of the targeted impact of experimental technology for the acquisition of military-applied motor skills on anthropometric indicators and functional data of the cardiovascular system of cadets. Material. Within the framework of functioning of the system of physical training of higher military educational institutions a four-year educational pedagogical experiment with the application of directed technology for acquiring applied motor skills has been carried out. According to the results of approbation of the author’s technology, the representatives of the experimental group (n=23) showed a positive (p<0,05 and p<0,001) positive dynamics of the parameters of the cardiovascular system, a more favorable reaction of their organism to the conditions of study at the higher military school and higher functional readiness to further professional activity. Results. According to the results of experimental studies with the directed application of experimental methodological influence in the form of targeted technology for the acquisition of military-applied motor skills revealed positive dynamics of functional indicators of the cardiovascular system in EG: heart rate at rest - 8.69 beats / min (11.76 % at t=4.73); systolic blood pressure – 2.61 mm Hg (2.21% at t=1.72); diastolic blood pressure - 3.26 mm Hg (4.17% at t=2.23).

Results of theoretical studies of structure and content of professional responsibility of military higher school cadets are outlined. The importance future officer professional responsibility as an essential personal quality is shown. Brief analyses of the concepts “responsibility” and “professional respon-sibility of cadets” is presented on the basis of the obtained analysis of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical researches with due account of the specifics of cadet’s military professional activi-ties while studying at the military higher school. An interpretation of the structure and content of the phenomenon is given, the included components: motivation and values, cognitive, emotions and will and reflexive and prognosis, are characterized. Youth of the Civil War: history in fates

Working with award lists, orders and announcements of the High Command of the White Army, I suddenly came across a very peculiar set of documents concerning the participation of children and youth in the Civil War on the side of the whites. A characteristic feature of the White resistance, which began immediately after the seizure of power by the Bolsheviks in October 1917, from the very beginning was the massive participation of young people - pupils of military school, cadets, gymnasium students, high school and university students. Throughout the Civil War, the White Army constantly experienced a shortage of fighters and problems with mobilizing the population. Many documents that I came across in the course of my searches tell about this. In the orders of the commander-in-chief, in the reports of the officers, much is said about irreplaceable losses, difficulties of the new conscription, and melting of military contingents. The article reveals the tragedy of Russia, which survived a fratricidal war, and shows the fate of those who were able to return to productive work in Soviet times. The materials of the article, based on archival documents, make it possible to comprehend with renewed vigor the dramatic events of the early 20th century in Russia.

Motor Skills Abilities And Behavioural Aspects of Military Students In Pandemic Circumstances

The purpose of the research is to point out the correlations between motor skills and behavioral characteristics of military high school students during COVID 19 pandemic. The research was held from 8th to 12th March 2021 on a group of 44 Romanian students (9 girls and 35 boys), age average 17.6 and consisted in testing the motor abilities by undergoing a tactical trail with 10 stages and filling in the Achenbach System of Empirically Based Assessment (ASEBA) questionnaires. Data were analyzed with PASW Statistic18 by using correlation analyses, and the significance level was set at P<0.05 and P<0.01. The results reveal that, statistically, the recorded time correlates positively with Somatic Complaints, Thought Problems and Internalizing scale. The total time statistically corelates with Thought Problems. The military students reported poorer motor skills abilities during pandemic. They seemed to have a sedentary lifestyle with more internalized problems and less workout.

The study of the language consciousness of russian and foreign military specialists by the method of associative experiment

The article presents the results of a psycholinguistic study of the language consciousness of military specialists studying at the Yaroslavl Higher Military School of Air Defense. The study involved 100 people. These are representatives of the near and far abroad, as well as cadets from Russia. The main method used by the authors to compare the linguistic picture of the world, that is, linguistic and extralinguistic phenomena, the country of the language being studied and the country of the cadet’s homeland, was an associative experiment. This method allowed us to identify markers for the consciousness of representatives of different linguistic worldviews (the core and the periphery in a particular field of consciousness), the value picture of the world within the framework of linguistic consciousness. Within the framework of this article, the authors presented an analysis of two words-stimuli-army and officer, which will allow us to determine the psychological features of language consciousness, taking into account the country of residence, educational and professional activities and professionalization of the individual. As a result of the experiment, the commonality of ideas and reactions to the basic concepts of military-professional terminology is noted in all cadets, but the specific feature of the language consciousness formed by the native language for a long time (from 20 years or more), the culture and the structure of life of the cadet’s homeland, which determines the unique and uncharacteristic reactions for the Russian language picture of the world, is highlighted.

The Romanian Infantry Training in 1943

Abstract This article analyzed, the evolution of the Romanian army training in the year of 1943 under German influence. It presents the main issues the Romanian army had to face starting with the low employment of subunits with recruits up to the commanders and soldiers’ level of training as individual fighters. The troupes, commissioned and non-commissioned officers training were accomplished in three stages having presented the results acquired during the war, the proprieties of the newly introduced weaponry, command exercises, field application or ski courses. On the other hand, this article presents the way in which the necessary weaponry was provided, the level of facilities and also the evolution of costs needed for yearly shootings. At the same time there are presented aspects regarding the mutations suffered by the Romanian military education, that had to rise up to the level of the European one; the way in which new classes of officers and non-commissioned officers are trained, the education in military high schools, the training in regular schools and also aspects regarding low-level military training.

To monitor the effectiveness of arrangement and implementation of foreign language courses in military educational establishments, it is necessary to have integrated criteria for assessing the level of foreign language proficiency of the cadets and students. Foreign language teaching in higher education is professionally oriented and has specific purposes, which should be taken into account when assessing language proficiency. We analyze modern approaches to assessing the level of foreign language proficiency and to present arguments for the technology of assessing the level of professional foreign language communicative competence in higher military schools. There are different assessment systems in foreign languages teaching methods. They are: 5-point (4-point in reality) assessment system generally accepted in the state Russian educational establishments, 100-point assessment system for the Unified State Exam (USE), the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) with a scale of levels from A1 to C2, the English proficiency levels of military specialists according to the international treaty of NATO countries (STANAG 6001) and others. The method of comparative system analysis is applied in the article. The scales of foreign language proficiency levels significant for higher military education are matched. We develop a system of assessing the professional foreign-language communicative competence in higher military school. The system has five levels: low, elementary, basic, high and advanced. According to the modern trends in the development of the foreign language teaching methodology and testology, the assessment system includes self-evaluation and technology of language portfolio.

ДИАГНОСТИКА ЛОКАЛЬНЫХ ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНЫХ СРЕД ВЫСШЕГО ВОЕННОГО УЧЕБНОГО ЗАВЕДЕНИЯ

The article contains the results of the study of the educational process in the higher military school from the standpoint of the environmental approach. The educational environment of a military higher educational institution is considered as a combination of several local environments - educational environments of faculties. The article presents the results of the study of two local environments of a military university: the main faculty, which trains Russian cadets and military personnel of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and a special faculty, organized for the training of foreign students from countries of near and far abroad. The results of diagnostics of the selected environments are described, which is based on the methods of vector modeling and examination of the psychological and pedagogical organization of the educational environment of V.A. Yasvin school, adapted by the authors for the task of studying the environment of a higher military educational institution. The purpose of the statistical study was to classify the local environments of the main and special faculties of a military university to a certain type, as well as to find and compare the corresponding diagnostic environmental parameters. To implement the typologization, a technique was used based on the assumption that the type of environment is determined by the conditions and capabilities of the educational organization in relation to the development of the student's activity and independence, the diagnostic parameters of the environment characterize the student's development capabilities. As a result of the study for each studied educational local environment of a military university the type was determined and the values of diagnostic parameters were calculated, among which conditionally determined and variable parameters of the environment were identified. It is shown that the local environments of the main and special faculties are of different types, which, from the standpoint of the environmental approach, allows us to conclude that there is a need for a separate design of educational activities for these two faculties. The characteristic environmental parameters, low values of which show the need to correct the content of environmental structural components, in particular, by designing the organization of the educational process using information technologies and using innovative methods of selecting the content of education, have been identified.

Психофизиологические характеристики когнитивных функций курсантов военно-морского института с опытом довузовской военной подготовки

The aim of our research is to studying the psychophysiological characteristics of the cognitive functions and their electrophysiological manifestations at cadets of the first course with military-training experience with different levels of adaptation to training. The object was first-year cadets of the Military Institute (Naval) of N.G. Kuznetsov Naval Academy which graduated from Suvorov Military High Schools (n=44). The mean of ages is 18±0,7 years. All cadets were divided into 3 groups with the help of integrated assessment of the effectiveness of cognitive functions and their electrophysiological manifestations. Cadets with a high level of development of working memory, ability to solve of spatial orientation and arithmetic problems, balance of nervous processes of excitation and inhibition, were characterized by an average of heart rate and an average of heart rate variability, low values of the relative spectral power of heart rate modulations in the low frequency range. The cadets of this group had a high relative power in the range of delta-2 rhythm of EEG in the right central lead when solving sensorimotor tasks in comparison with other groups.

АКТУАЛЬНЫЕ ПРОБЛЕМЫ ПРЕПОДАВАНИЯ ОБЩЕИНЖЕНЕРНЫХ ДИСЦИПЛИН КУРСАНТАМ ВОЕННОГО ВУЗА В УСЛОВИЯХ РАЗВИТИЯ ИНТЕЛЛЕКТУАЛЬНЫХ ЭЛЕКТРИЧЕСКИХ СЕТЕЙ

The article is devoted to the topial problems of teaching general engineering disciplines at a modern military university. Future military specialists, studying general engineering disciplines, receive a technical basis that ensures their professional development in the context of the development of intelligent electrical networks. Their training is based on the idea of a professional-oriented approach, taking into account the experience of the Russian higher military school, foreign schools, in technical education. Modeling is described, which is used as the main way of understanding technical capabilities of intelligent electrical networks, in the process of studying general engineering disciplines by cadets. This will ensure that students are prepared to model real processes and phenomena in their future professional activities. The author reveals some pedagogical and didactic conditions under which the design of the educational process will ensure the development of professional skills and competencies of future military specialists, who will be called to carry out their activities in the digital world in the future. Attention is paid to the problem of introducing computer-based test tasks into the teaching of general engineering disciplines, with access to solving complex plot problems, within the framework of telecommunications projects. On the basis of interdisciplinary connections, studied during military university disciplines, the possibility of developing technical tasks for the implementation of project activities of students is considered. The conclusion is made about the need for intellectual adaptation of future military specialists to technical problems in the field of intelligent electrical networks and the development of their engineering thinking. The article is of interest to university teachers, researchers, and future professionals in technical specialties.
