The construction industry is very vital as it helps provide the necessary buildings and supporting civil infrastructure. However, the problems of productivity, poor planning and poor coordination has not allowed it to maximize its full potential. The use of digitalized solutions in coordinating and planning construction activities can help resolve these challenges. Therefore, the study was aimed at investigating the digital technologies available to construction professionals during construction planning. The study utilized the data instrument of a well-structured questionnaire. A total of 110 construction professional took part in the survey research. The study showed that Microsoft Project, Primavera and Web-based Project Management System are the most used digital technologies in construction planning. Construction professionals identified the benefits of improved quality, better record keeping, and time saving benefits in the use of digital technologies for construction planning. The study showed that there was statistically significant difference in the benefits such as reduction in construction errors, increased flexibility, and access to information in real time. It recommended that construction professionals should increase investment in innovative digital solutions in order to address the challenges facing the construction industry.
