A credit risk assessment system for the small and medium enterprises in China

Credit risk assessment is very important to the small and medium enterprises in China. In this paper, a credit risk assessment system for the small and medium enterprises is proposed. In order to evaluate the credit risk, the features of Chinese small and medium enterprises are analyzed first, and then a credit risk assessment index system is built up and a proper method is chosen to assess the credit risk using the index system. At the end of this paper, a prototype credit risk assessment is shown through some screens.

Study on the Effective Operation Models of Credit Guarantee System for Small and Medium Enterprises in China

The credit guarantee system for small and medium enterprises (SMEs, here in after) has been established formore than 10 years in China. There are so many problems resulting in low-effective operation of the creditguarantee system, such as the risks share and amplification multiple of guarantee determined by financialinstitutions and guarantee organization to reasonably are unreasonable. Aiming at these, this article gave ananalysis framework of the effective operation of credit grantee system for SMEs, and then took Shenzhen as acase to analysis. Here we demonstrate that, the effective operation of credit grantee system for SMEs in Chinadependent on the improving of fund indemnity mechanism, especially the government should provide aninstitutional environment to encourage SMEs’ own innovation.

Financing Alternatives for Chinese Small and Medium Enterprises: The Case for a Small and Medium Enterprise Stock Market

AbstractFinancing alternatives for small and medium enterprises in China are discussed in the present study. In particular, we analyze the significant changes and developments in China s “second board” stock market. China s extensive network of regional assets and equity exchanges, which were set up to facilitate private equity transfer, and non‐performing loan transactions seem to partially fill the void for small and medium enterprises, which cannot easily obtain approval for listing on the stock exchanges. Foreign investors can identify investment opportunities in non‐listed domestic state‐owned and private businesses through these regional assets and equity exchanges. At the same time, foreign stock markets are now attracting the young Chinese enterprises to list their stocks on their exchanges.(Edited by Zhinan Zhang)
