Medical Equipment Management System Based on the Concept of Whole Life Cycle

Strengthen the legal, compliant, and rational use of medical equipment and further guide the rationalization of medical behaviors. By utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) and image analysis technology, collect real-time operation data of the equipment, establish a real-time running database for medical equipment, and cooperate with the 12 key links of the "whole life" of the equipment and the 8+6 management system framework to implement lean management of the efficiency, benefit, and effectiveness of medical equipment usage. It realizes the improvement of the quality and efficiency of medical equipment, cost reduction and cost control, and provides data support for scientific decision-making. This study innovates the management model for the entire life cycle of medical equipment, providing a scientific approach to the management of hospital equipment.

Design of Medical Equipment Management System Based on PCA-GRA-BK Algorithm

In recent years, medical technology has developed very well, and efficient management of medical equipment has become one of the key factors in improving hospital operational efficiency. This article proposes a design scheme for a medical equipment management system based on Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Grey Relational Analysis (GRA), and BK (Baker-King) algorithms. This research plan integrates these three algorithms to optimize the decision-making process of equipment procurement, maintenance, and replacement, in order to improve the decision-making efficiency and precision of the system. This study first analyzed the shortcomings of existing medical equipment management, and then compared the effectiveness of traditional management methods and this scheme by designing and implementing the integrated algorithm, verifying its effectiveness. In the decision precision testing experiment, it was shown that the PCA-GRA-BK algorithm based system achieved a precision of 82% and a recall rate of 75% in device classification tasks. In the experiment of resource utilization analysis, the PCA-GRA-BK algorithm significantly improved the efficiency of device utilization and reduced resource waste. In the system response time measurement experiment, the response time of the system based on PCA-GRA-BK algorithm increased to a maximum of 11.72 seconds. In the final user satisfaction survey evaluation, it was found that users felt good about the operation of the system. From the above results, it can be seen that these experimental results not only confirm the effectiveness of the system design based on PCA-GRA-BK algorithm, but also provide specific data support for further optimizing system performance.

Design and Application of Medical Equipment Management System Based on B/S Architecture and WeChat Official Accounts

In order to solve the problems of equipment comprehensive management in grade A hospitals, such as complicated work, low maintenance efficiency, error-prone, non-standard management process, et al. A set of efficient information-based medical management equipment platform was designed to serve the concept of medical departments. B/S (browser and server) architecture and WeChat official accounts technology were adopted to construct the application end and WeChat official accounts client developed by Web technology, and MySQL server was selected as the system database technology. Asset management, equipment maintenance, quality control management, equipment leasing, data statistical analysis and other modules were integrated into the system, which optimized and standardized the medical equipment management process, improved the work efficiency of equipment management personnel, and improved the opening rate of medical equipment. Intelligent management by means of computer technology can effectively improve the utilization rate of hospital equipment, improve the level of hospital informatization and fine management, and contribute to the informatization development of medical engineering department.

Application of Intelligent Medical Equipment Management System Based on Internet of Things Technology.

The management level of medical equipment is an important index to evaluate the modernization degree of hospitals and it is also the basic element of medical and scientific research work, which plays a key role in the development of medical clinical science. Under the background of the rapid development of modern Internet of Things (IoT) technology, hospitals should be fully aware of the role of Internet of Things technology in hospital medical equipment management. With the increasing demand for refined management of medical equipment in hospitals, the application potential of the Internet of Things technology in medical equipment management has gradually become prominent. The management of medical equipment in a hospital is an important part of the management of the hospital, which is related to the medical level, service quality, and economic benefits of the hospital. In this paper, we have analyzed current problems in the management of medical equipment in hospitals, discussed the application of the Internet of Things technology in the management of medical equipment, and promoted the management of medical equipment to be more intelligent and automated. Experimental results have verified that the proposed scheme could be one of the trustworthy automated systems, preferably technology assisted, for the proper management of the medical equipment particularly in hospitals.

Optimization of AI-driven communication systems for green hospitals in sustainable cities

The green hospital is an important part for constructing Sustainable Cities. In this paper, system optimization algorithms based on artificial intelligence technologies are proposed by studying the communication system of the green hospital in the smart sustainable city, and the overall architecture design and detailed functional module design were carried out. The functions in the system can be divided into basic information management function, patient monitoring function, and remote self-test, etc. The medical equipment management system is characterized by the combination of Internet of Things technology, so that equipment managers can control the operating status of the equipment at any time, and can remotely upgrade and control the equipment through the system, and medical staff can view the measurement data of the equipment at the system interface and grasp the real-time information of treating patients to improve work efficiency. The accuracy of the improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was compared with that of a single BP neural network algorithm. According to the requirement analysis of the health monitoring software and the overall design scheme of the system, each functional module of the health monitoring software is designed and the specific implementation of each functional module is carried out.

This paper introduces the design and development of a light-weighted medical equipment management system in hospital based on structured information flow architecture, to collect and analyze data in medical equipment lifecycle management processes. It applies co-operative work flows both online and off-line to achieve high quality data collection, and to increase the efficiency for clinical personals and clinical engineers. This system manages to apply the UDI system, implements the intelligent access to medical equipments, uses data analysis to provide intelligent services. It will boost the quality control management and information construction synchronously.

An Automated Medical Equipment Management System Proposed for Small-Scale Hospitals

A hospital is a high-technology center that must be superbly organized. Therefore, the existence of medical equipment management program is considered as an essential tool for managing and monitoring medical equipment. In application, many automated systems have been developed with different domains. The purpose of this article is to develop a customized software package using C language for medical equipment management appropriate for small-scale hospitals under the umbrella of computerized maintenance management system. Indeed, the developed program covers different phases of medical equipment management including inventory, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair. The automated system introduces 8 separate windows for management; every window presents its own data that support overall management system. The validation of the developed program was carried out based on a data set of 235 pieces of medical equipment belonging to 7 departments in a general Egyptian hospital. The results point out the convenience and consistency of the developed program.

Establishing an inventory-based medical equipment management system in the public sector: an experience from Uganda

This article aims to share a practical experience of how to set up a simple framework for better medical equipment management at public hospitals and health centres in Uganda for the 2006–2009 period. Three steps approach was employed. At first, all available medical equipment was categorised in six operational conditions and that were indicated on the equipment by eye-catching colour coded stickers; from A to F. Secondary, based on the inventory from the first step, the requirements for maintaining the medical equipment were analyzed and the prioritised action plans were prepared within the available funds. Third, a simple reporting format was developed to enable the health facility managers to monitor and evaluate medical equipment management. As for the accountability, specific information and repair work done is detailed in the job card and summarized in the monthly/quarterly report which submitted to the health facilities and Ministry of Health. The stickers indicate updated operational conditions that draw users and managers attention. Inventory based medical equipment management improves the transparency and accountability regarding the maintenance jobs and the cost of expenditure and estimation. Action plan based on listed all requirements helps health facility managers to focus on priority services using the available resources more efficiently. This case study is value for health facility managers in public sector to put in place a cost effective planning with limited financial resources, especially in resource constrained settings.

Kaplan and David P. North. In order to achieve this purpose, we developed a continuously improving strategic management system for Department of Clinical Engineering. As a result, we improved Financial : 2.7, Patinet : 4.1, Internal Business Processes : 3.2 and Learning and Growth : 3.1 Comprehensive Evaluation : 3.3 for Department of Clinical Engineering. In addition, we were validated improve processes, motivate and educate staffs, and ability to learn and improve.

Internally developed medical equipment management system: a viable alternative.

A medical equipment management computer system, internally developed by Rhode Island Hospital, is presented. Hospital biomedical engineering departments must contend with ever-increasing regulatory requirements for patient-care equipment. Computerization is a viable solution to meeting the documentation standards dictated by healthcare governing bodies. Rhode Island Hospital's system consists of a Macintosh computer, Panorama database software, and Psion LZ64 Organiser handheld computer. Files were set up on equipment data, JCAHO-required historical documentation, service, inspections, part codes and locations, and vendor contact information. Technician inspection data recording time was reduced by approximately 30%.
