Hybrid Particle Size Template Method for Controllable Synthesis of Nitrogen-Doped Multilevel Porous Carbon as High-Rate Zn-Ion Hybrid Supercapacitor Cathode Materials.

Achieving high rate performance without compromising energy density has always been a critical objective for zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors (ZHSCs). The pore structure and surface properties of carbon cathode materials play a crucial role. We propose utilizing a hybrid particle size (20 and 40 nm) magnesium oxide templates to regulate the pore structure of nitrogen-doped porous carbon derived from the soybean isolate. The multilevel pore structure enhanced ion transport efficiency while also improving the utilization of micropores. Nitrogen doping and oxygen-containing functional groups enhanced the wettability of carbon materials with aqueous electrolytes and facilitated the chemisorption of Zn2+ on the carbon material surface. The nitrogen-doped multilevel porous carbon material (HT-NMPC-1/1) prepared with a 1 : 1 mass ratio of the two templates exhibited a specific capacity of 146.65 mAh g-1 at 0.2 A g-1. Moreover, the Swagelok cells assembled with HT-NMPC-1/1 and Zn foil achieved a high energy density of 121.5 W h kg-1, high power output of 166 W kg-1, and 93.09 % capacity retention after 8000 cycles at 2 A g-1. Therefore, HT-NMPC-1/1 is a highly promising candidate for ZHSCs cathode materials. Furthermore, the novel pore regulation strategy and straightforward preparation method offer valuable reference points for other porous carbon-based functional materials.

Modal modification based analysis of seismic performance of the Jiufeng Temple Ancient Masonry Pagoda

Based on detailed data collected on-site, including structural construction, cross-sectional dimensions, and material properties, this paper establishes a refined three-dimensional solid initial numerical model (INM) of the Jiufeng Temple Ancient Masonry Pagoda using the ABAQUS finite element software. On the basis of the measured modal characteristics (frequency, vibration mode, and damping ratio) of the ancient masonry pagoda, a modified numerical model (MNM) was obtained by adjusting the key parameters (damping ratio, Rayleigh damping coefficients, elastic modulus, and material density) of the initial numerical model. Based on the modified numerical model, five actual strong earthquake records were input to calculate the seismic response of the ancient masonry pagoda. The seismic failure mechanism of the ancient masonry pagoda, as well as the distribution characteristics of the principal tensile stress and seismic weak-layers were analyzed. The results indicate that the stiffness and mass distribution of the ancient masonry pagoda are consistent along its height, and the deformation at the top of the ancient masonry pagoda is significant under seismic action. The results obtained from the initial numerical model are more conservative, with the maximum storey drift being 19 %, 40 %, and 27 % larger than those of the modified numerical model under minor earthquakes (with a 63 % probability of exceedance in 50 years, also called frequently occurring earthquakes), moderate earthquakes (with a 10 % probability of exceedance in 50 years), and major earthquakes (with a 2 % probability of exceedance in 50 years, also called rarely occurring earthquakes), respectively. Under the action of major earthquakes, the upper portion of the Jiufeng Temple ancient masonry Pagoda, particularly above the 9th floor, may suffer severe damage. The 10th, 11th, and 12th floors are identified as the weak-layers of the ancient masonry pagoda, and the weak-layers determination from the modified numerical model are consistent with the results of standard calculations. The method proposed in this paper can provide technical support for the seismic protection of ancient masonry pagodas.

Role of substitution Zr-site on the electronic structure and magnetic properties of BaTiO3 materials: A first principles calculation

In this study, we employ density functional theory calculations to investigate the electronic band structures, density of states, and magnetic properties of pure BaTiO3 and Zr-doped BaTiO3 compounds. The intrinsic BaTiO3 compound exhibits an indirect band gap of 1.80 eV, which is larger than the range of 1.61–1.71 eV observed for Zr-doped BaTiO3. By systematically exploring the Zr substitution at different Ti sites, we analyze the impact of Zr doping on the electronic structure of BaTiO3 materials. The introduction of Zr doping induces significant modifications in the band structure and density of states, resulting in the emergence of new energy levels within the band gap. These findings enhance the understanding of the electronic properties of BaTiO3 and Zr-doped BaTiO3 materials, paving the way for potential applications in electronic and optical devices.

Vanadium incorporation in 2D-layered MoSe2

Recent advances in experimental techniques have made it possible to manipulate the structural and electronic properties of two-dimensional layered materials (2DM) through interaction with foreign atoms. Using quantum mechanics calculations based on the density functional theory, we explored the dependency of the structural, energetic, electronic, and magnetic properties of the interaction between Vanadium (V) atoms and monolayer and bilayer MoSe2. Spin-polarized metallic behavior was observed for high V concentration, and a semiconductor/metal interface emerged due to V adsorption on top of BL MoSe2. Our research demonstrated that the functionalization of 2D materials makes an important contribution to the design of spintronic devices based on a 2D-layered materials platform.

Application of Carrera unified formulation to predict the flexural response of the composite floor systems at elevated temperatures: Development of the hybrid population-based metaheuristic algorithms

This study investigates the application of Carrera unified formulation (CUF) to predict the flexural response of composite floor systems subjected to elevated temperatures. The accurate assessment of such systems is critical for ensuring the structural integrity of buildings during fire events or other extreme thermal conditions. CUF, known for its flexibility and efficiency in structural analysis, is utilized to develop high-fidelity models capable of capturing the complex behavior of composite floor systems under thermal stress. The formulation allows for the inclusion of various structural components and material properties, enabling a comprehensive analysis of flexural behavior. To enhance the accuracy and reliability of the predictions, the CUF-based models are validated using hybrid population-based metaheuristic algorithms. These algorithms combine the strengths of multiple optimization techniques, effectively navigating the complex solution space associated with thermal-structural interactions. The hybrid approach ensures a robust solution by minimizing errors in the prediction of flexural response, thus addressing the limitations of conventional methods. Results demonstrate that CUF, when integrated with metaheuristic algorithms, provides a powerful tool for predicting the flexural response of composite floor systems at elevated temperatures. The hybrid validation process confirms the model’s ability to achieve high accuracy, offering valuable insights for designing fire-resistant composite structures. This research establishes a novel framework for coupling advanced structural formulations with metaheuristic optimization, contributing to safer and more resilient building designs under extreme thermal conditions.

Autonomous Vibrationless Temperature-Controlled Cryosystem for Optical Studies with a Spectroscopic Ellipsometer

Introduction. Ellipsometry is a highly sensitive, non-destructive optical method used to study the optical and structural properties of materials and thin films.Problem Statement. At the Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the first in Ukraine serial spectroscopic ellipsometer SE-2000 (manufactured by SEMILAB Ltd., Hungary) has been employed for research, but its measurement capabilities are currently limited to room temperature.Purpose. This research aims to expand the functionality of the SE-2000 by creating a temperature-controlled cryosystem that operates within a temperature range from –195 оC to +80 оC (approximately 80—353 K).Materials and Methods. An autonomous, precision, vibrationless, cryosystem has been designed and manufactured for low-temperature optical investigations in reflection mode, based on a gas-flow cryostat. The cryosystem includes a cryostat, a microprocessor temperature controller, and an adjustment table.Results. The cryostat operates on a gas-flow principle. A laminar gas flow is generated by excess pressure achieved through the heating of cryogenic liquid by a heater-evaporator in the feeder tank. The flow intensity is regulated by adjusting the power supplied to the heating element, eliminating vibrations in the cryostat and sample. The heat exchange chamber is positioned at the top of the nitrogen tank, with the test sample mounted in horizontal plane. Incident and reflected light beams interact with the sample from the upper hemisphere. Sample positioning is adjustable via translational motion along three Cartesian coordinates and by tilting the cryostat with the help of the adjustment table.Conclusions. This system is suitable for use in optical devices that operate in specular reflection mode, with access to the sample surface from the upper hemisphere.

Li Decorated Graphdiyne Nanosheets: A Theoretical Study for an Electrode Material for Nonaqueous Lithium Batteries

AbstractIn this work, Density Functional Theory (DFT) is used to study pristine and defective GDY. We investigate the effect of Li atom adsorption on the electronic and structural properties of this 2D material. In both cases, the Li atom is located at the corner of the triangular‐like pore (H1), but with a slight shift for the defective system. In the perfect system, the Li−C bond distances range from 2.289 Å to 2.461 Å, while in the defective case, they range from 2.237 Å to 3.184 Å. In the perfect case, the GDY−Li system becomes metallic and the Li 2 s states are stabilized. Charge transfer to the surfaces occurs near the vicinity of the Li atom. The C vacancy generates new C=C bonds similar to double bonds, enhancing the interaction with Li through strong conjugation. After Li adsorption, the sum of bond order for all the C atoms increases in both structures, from 0.4 % to 6 %. The Li storage capacity without significant restructuring is six Li atoms. When the atom concentration increases, the OCV values for Li decrease from 0.93 V to 0.23 V. For defective GDY, the specific capacity is 788 mAhg−1, which is slightly higher than for pristine case.

Influence of agglomeration and waviness phenomena on torsional oscillation of MWCNTs-reinforced composite rods

There are some inevitable challenges during the manufacturing of reinforced composite structures. Agglomeration of reinforcement and wavy reinforcement are in this category. These phenomena possess remarkable effects on the mechanical behavior of reinforced composite structures. In the current research, the effect of agglomeration and waviness of reinforcements on torsional dynamic characteristics of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) reinforced composite rods subjected to two various boundary conditions have been evaluated. Three dissimilar cross-section shapes have been considered to understand the effect of cross-section shapes on torsional behavior of MWCNTs-reinforced composite rods. A new form of Halpin-Tsai homogenization model has been exerted to estimate the material properties of composite structures. Additionally, Timoshenko-Gere theory in conjunction with the Hamilton’s principle has been employed to derive the partial differential governing equation of MWCNTs-reinforced composite rods. Afterward, the obtained equation was solved using an analytical approach. The precision of the methodology utilized has been evaluated against the results of previous studies documented in the literature. Ultimately, the effects of various significant parameters on the changes in natural torsional frequency have been analyzed and presented in a series of tables and figures. Based on the obtained results, the rectangular rod has the highest torsional frequency and also the effect of MWCNTs’ volume fraction depends on the consideration of waviness and agglomeration factors. At a greater volume fraction of MWCNTs, the agglomeration factor is more effective than the waviness factor and vice versa.

A cohesive fracture-enhanced phase-field approach for modeling the damage behavior of steel fiber-reinforced concrete

This study introduces a novel computational framework based on the phase-field fracture/damage model (PFM), providing rapid and accurate predictions of the damage behavior of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) material. The framework integrates the interfacial cohesive fracture model with the PFM to depict the interaction between the cementitious matrix and fibers, marking the first demonstration that this model adequately captures both local fracture phenomena between fibers and concrete (such as fiber bridging and interfacial debonding) and mesoscopic stress–strain behavior. Additionally, an enhanced geometric approximation is established based on the spatial distribution density function of fibers and particles, allowing for the transformation of the three-dimensions (3-D) fiber-reinforced material structure into an equivalent two-dimensions (2-D) material. This approach enables the reduction of computational time, a significant limitation of the phase-field method, thereby allowing an in-house code to perform various computations with complex material structures such as SFRC. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated through four examples involving variations in the microgeometry and material properties of SFRC structures, ranging from the simplest configurations to real experimental material structures. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations of the model are also employed to provide results closer to reality, which are then compared with recent experimental data and numerical models, demonstrating the efficacy of the proposed computational model.

Synthesis and characterization of NiTe-Ni2Te3 processed by mechanosynthesis at ambient conditions

In this work, an analysis on the physicochemical properties of materials based on NiTe-Ni2Te3 synthesized through a mechanosynthesis process by using a planetary ball mill, at ambient conditions, was carried out. Pure nickel and tellurium powders with a mass ratio of 1:1 were used as precursors. The milling speed was kept constant at 500 rpm, and the effective milling time was varied, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 h. The structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties of NiTe-Ni2Te3 materials were studied. The crystallographic properties by X-ray powder diffraction (DRX) were analyzed, and it was determined that the materials present a mix of two different compounds; a hexagonal phase of NiTe and a monoclinic phase of Ni2Te. From scanning electron microscopy (SEM) the presence of agglomerates of particles with irregular morphologies and others in disc form were evidenced. From reflectance measurements the bandgap energies, Eg, were estimated, and it was found an Eg increase with milling time. From the infrared spectroscopy analysis (FTIR), the characteristic vibrational frequencies, 425 and 672 cm−1, of the NiTe-Ni2Te3 system were observed. The electrical properties were measured by Hall effect, using the Van Der Pauw contacts confiration, confirming the n-type conductivity in all the samples, and obtaining that sample synthesized with 8 h of milling presented the best electrical properties, resistivity of 0.77 Ωcm, electron concentration of 2.0 × 1017 cm−3 and mobility 53.08 cm2V−1s−1. The Seebeck coefficient and power factor were estimated to evaluate the thermoelectric properties of the samples. The sample synthesized with 4 h of milling presented the highest Seebeck coefficient and power factor, − 74.56 µVK−1 and 4.27 µWcm−1 K−2, respectively. The obtained results showed promising properties of synthesized NiTe-Ni2Te3 powders and its possible application as thermoelectrical materials.

Thermal Stability and Purity of Graphene and Carbon Nanotubes: Key Parameters for Their Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA).

Thermal analysis is widely employed for the characterization of nanomaterials. It encompasses a variety of techniques that allow the evaluation of the physicochemical properties of a material by monitoring its response under controlled temperature. In the case of carbon nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotubes and graphene derivatives, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is particularly useful to determine the quality and stability of the sample, the presence of impurities and the degree of functionalization or doping after post-synthesis treatments. Furthermore, TGA is widely used to evaluate the thermal stability against oxidation by air, which can be, for instance, enhanced by the purification of the material and by nitrogen doping, finding application in areas where a retarded combustion of the material is required. Herein, we have evaluated key parameters that play a role in the data obtained from TGA, namely, gas flow rate, sample weight and temperature rate, used during the analysis. We found out that the heating rate played the major role in the process of combustion in the presence of air, inducing an increase in the temperature at which the oxidation of CNTs starts to occur, up to ca. 100 °C (from 1 °C min-1 to 50 °C min-1). The same trend was observed for all the evaluated systems, namely N-doped CNTs, graphene produced by mechanical exfoliation and N-doped reduced graphene samples. Other aspects, like the presence of impurities or structural defects in the evaluated samples, were analyzed by TGA, highlighting the versatility and usefulness of the technique to provide information of structural aspects and properties of carbon materials. Finally, a set of TGA parameters are recommended for the analysis of carbon nanomaterials to obtain reliable data.

Sol–Gel Fabrication of Sm‐Doped MnTiO3 Perovskite Electrode for Enhanced Oxygen Evaluation Reaction

ABSTRACTExcessive usage of fossil fuels has led to significant depletion, creating an energy crisis and environmental concerns. This has prompted the creation of sustainable energy conversion systems. This study explores sol–gel incorporation of Sm‐doped MnTiO3 nanostructure, which exhibits OER activity. Different analytical techniques were used to assess the material's morphology, structure, and textural properties. BET analysis confirmed increased surface area (34 m2 g−1) of Sm‐doped MnTiO3 nanostructure, which enhanced OER performance. The electrochemical results showed that the fabricated doped nanostructure had a lower overpotential of 201 mV, resulting in a current density of roughly 10 mA cm−2 and a Tafel slope of 40 mV dec−1. In EIS analysis, a low Rct value of Sm‐doped MnTiO3 (0.20 Ω) compared with pure MnTiO3 (0.23 Ω) indicates highly efficient charge transfer and a faster faradaic reaction. Chronoamperometry and cyclic stability analyses of Sm‐doped MnTiO3 nanostructure demonstrate stability over 35 h. The fabricated nanostructure has remarkable electrochemical characteristics, making it a promising material for future applications in electrical and other areas.

Anatomical Structure and Bending Properties of Calamus zollingeri

The relationship between the structure and mechanical properties of materials has been a hot topic. However, there is a lack of research on the relationship between the structure of rattan and its mechanical properties. This study investigated the anatomical structure and bending properties of Calamus zollingeri, a commercially important rattan species. Samples were collected from different radial positions of the stem and analyzed for their microstructural features and mechanical properties. The distribution and morphology of vascular bundles (VBs), parenchyma cells (PCs), vessels, and fibers were examined using light microscopy. Bending tests were conducted to determine the modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elasticity (MOE). Stepwise linear regression analysis was employed to explore the relationship between structural features and mechanical properties. The results showed that the diameters, lengths and distribution densities of the vessel elements were 280.32 μm, 2163.56 μm, and 3.68 pcs/mm2, respectively; the double wall thickness, lumen diameter, diameter, length, length–width ratio were 7.55 μm, 4.30 μm, 11.85 μm, 1569.39 μm, and 134.08, respectively; the tissue ratios of the vessel elements, fibers, sieve elements, and PCs were 22.76%, 20.5%, 4.83%, and 51.87%, respectively. The MOR of C. zollingeri was 55.77 MPa, while the MOE was 2669.11 MPa. The MOR of C. zollingeri was mainly affected by a double wall thickness of fiber and the tissue ratio of PCs, while the MOE was mainly affected by a double arm thickness of fiber and the tissue ratio of the vessel elements. This research provides valuable insights into the structure–property relationships of rattan, which can inform its optimal utilization in various applications.

Effects of ferrous ion doping on the structural, optical, and electronic properties of tin tungstate materials

Metal oxide materials have widespread applications in multiple application fields. On doping Fe3+ ions into α – SnWO4, structural, optical, and electronic properties varied noticeably leading the material into energy storage device applications. Pure and doped SnWO4 materials were prepared using the solid-state reaction method. Two different phases were observed on doping Fe ions into the host observed through X-ray diffraction. Different functional groups and their vibrations were found using FTIR spectroscopy which deliberately led to the confirmation of the prepared sample's structure. Raman spectroscopy identified different intra and inter-molecular vibrations. Optical energy bandgap was found to be 3.26 eV and 2.78 eV for Pure SnWO4 and SnWO4: Fe3+ ions respectively. The results obtained from Diffuse reflectance spectra were validated using Density Functional Theory calculations. The theoretical band gap values were found to be close to the experimental value. The optical spectra were also obtained through DFT calculations which were reliable to experimental findings and exciton binding energies were discussed.

Layer-number and strain effects on the structural and electronic properties of PtSe2 material

Bandgap engineering of low-dimensional materials forms a robust basis for advancements in optoelectronic technologies. Platinum diselenide (PtSe2) material exhibits a transition from semi-metal to semiconductor (SM-SC) when going from bulk to monolayer. In this work, density functional theory (DFT) with various van der Waals (vdW) corrections has been tested to study the effect of the layer-number on the structural and electronic properties of the PtSe2material. The considered vdW corrections gave different results regarding the number of layers at which the SM-SC transition occurs. This variation is due to the different interlayer distances found for each correction, revealing the sensitivity of the bandgap to this distance in addition to the layer number. In fact, the bandgap increases with the increasing of the interlayer distance, due to the energy shift of conduction and valence bands dominated by Se-pzorbitals. According to the comparison with the available experimental data, the vdW corrections vdW-DF and rVV10 gave the most accurate results. Moreover, the control of the interlayer distance via vertical compressive strain led to the bandgap tuning of semiconductor PtSe2BL. Indeed, a semi-metal character of PtSe2BL can be obtained under 17% vertical strain. Our work shows a deep understanding of the correlation between the structural and electronic properties, and thus a possibility to tune the bandgap by strain means.

Molybdenum carbide nanosheets with iron doping as electrocatalysts for highly efficient ammonia electrosynthesis

The electrochemical reduction of nitrogen to ammonia represents a greener alternative to the Haber-Bosch process, demanding a shift towards low-cost and high-efficiency electrocatalysts. Recent advances in research have demonstrated the potential of molybdenum carbide-based catalysts to have their unique electronic structure and physicochemical properties. This study introduces ultrathin iron-doped molybdenum carbide nanosheets (Fe-MoC) as a novel catalyst for ammonia electrosynthesis. Demonstrating a remarkable ammonia production rate of 16 µg h−1 mg−1 and a Faradaic efficiency (FE) of approximately 13 % at −0.2 V, our synthesized Fe-MoC nanosheets stand out for their superior catalytic activity and selectivity towards nitrogen activation. The indophenol technique was employed to identify the generation of NH3 in our experiments, followed by UV–vis spectrometry for quantitative analysis. Additionally, various characterization techniques, including XRD, Raman, and XPS, were used to analyze the material structure and surface properties. Through comprehensive characterization and electrochemical studies, we reveal the pivotal role of iron doping in enhancing the electrocatalytic performance for nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR), offering insights into the mechanistic pathways facilitated by Fe-MoC. The future development and perspective of Fe-MoC towards high performance are proposed.

Material Aspects of Thin-Film Composite Membranes for CO2/N2 Separation: Metal-Organic Frameworks vs. Graphene Oxides vs. Ionic Liquids.

Thin-film composite (TFC) membranes containing various fillers and additives present an effective alternative to conventional dense polymer membranes, which often suffer from low permeance (flux) and the permeability-selectivity tradeoff. Alongside the development and utilization of numerous new polymers over the past few decades, diverse additives such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), graphene oxides (GOs), and ionic liquids (ILs) have been integrated into the polymer matrix to enhance performance. However, achieving desirable interfacial compatibility between these additives and the host polymer matrix, particularly in TFC structures, remains a significant challenge. This review discusses recent advancements in TFC membranes for CO2/N2 separation, focusing on material structure, polymer-additive interaction, interface and separation properties. Specifically, we examine membranes operating under dry conditions to clearly assess the impact of additives on membrane properties and performance. Additionally, we provide a perspective on future research directions for designing high-performance membrane materials.

Electrochemical performance of ultra-high‑nickel layered oxide cathode synthesized using different lithium sources

Ultra-high‑nickel layered oxide cathodes are extensively explored in lithium-ion battery research owing to their high specific capacity. However, the rapid decline in discharge specific capacity considerably limits their long-term performance. The choice of lithium precursors is crucial in enhancing both the structural and cycle stability of these batteries, yet this aspect has not been adequately addressed in existing studies. In this study, Li2O, LiOH, and Li2CO3 were used as lithium precursors to synthesize LiNi0.92Co0.04Mn0.04O2 (NCM92) cathodes. We compare the structure and electrochemical properties of NCM92 cathode materials prepared with these three lithium precursors, examining a lithium residual layer on the surface of three NCM92 and thus inferring the varying amounts of Li incorporation into the bulk lattice. Our findings highlight the effect of lithium precursors on the rapid degradation of NCM92's discharge capacity. Notably, the NCM92–Li2O cathode demonstrates a higher discharge specific capacity and superior capacity retention after 100 cycles compared to cathodes synthesized with LiOH and Li2CO3. This study provides valuable insights and guidance for further research on ultra-high‑nickel layered oxide cathode materials.

Charged Impurity Scattering and Electron-Electron Interactions in Large-Area Hydrogen Intercalated Bilayer Graphene.

Intercalation is a promising technique to modify the structural and electronic properties of 2D materials on the wafer scale for future electronic device applications. Yet, few reports to date demonstrate 2D intercalation as a viable technique on this scale. Spurred by recent demonstrations of mm-scale sensors, we use hydrogen intercalated quasi-freestanding bilayer graphene (hQBG) grown on 6H-SiC(0001), to understand the electronic properties of a large-area (16 mm2) device. To do this, we first analyze Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillations and weak localization, permitting determination of the Fermi level, cyclotron effective mass, and quantum scattering time. Our transport results indicate that at low temperature, scattering in hQBG is dominated by charged impurities and electron-electron interactions. Using low- temperature scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy (STS), we investigate the source of the charged impurities on the nm-scale via observation of Friedel oscillations. Comparison to theory suggests that the Friedel oscillations we observe are caused by hydrogen vacancies underneath the hQBG. Furthermore, STS measurements demonstrate that hydrogen vacancies in the hQBG have an extremely localized effect on the local density of states, such that the Fermi level of the hQBG is only affected directly above the location of the defect. Hence, we find that the calculated Fermi level from SdH oscillations on the millimeter scale agrees with the value measured locally on the nanometer scale with STS measurements.

Synergistic enhancement of lithium iron phosphate electrochemical performance by organic zinc source doping and crystalline carbon layer capping

In this study, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) is prepared as cathode material by hydrothermal synthesis method and the combined effect of doping and capping is applied to co-modify it. We thoroughly investigate how Zn2+ doping and PA capping layer affect the crystal structure, microscopic morphology, and electrochemical properties of LFP cathode materials. The experimental results show that when co-modified with 5 % Zn2+ doping combined with 7 % PA capping layer, the resulting cathode material exhibits a discharge specific capacity of 165.5 mAh g−1, and the capacity retention rate can still be maintained at a high level of 98.6 % after 200 charge–discharge cycles.
