Literature Study: The Phenomenon Of Chemical Bonding's Misconceptions And Opportunities For Remediation

This research aims to analyze the misconceptions that occur in chemical bonding materials and offer remediation processes. This type of research was library research with data taken from library materials or information. There were 32 scientific journals related to the research topic, then grouped within the last five years, and four scientific journals were produced that discussed misconceptions in chemical bonding material and four scientific journals that discussed the process of remediation of misconceptions in chemical bonding material. Based on the results of the review, misconceptions about chemistry occur in almost every sub-topic. The offer to remediate misconceptions that occur in this material is the ECIRR learning model, cognitive conflict strategy, and conceptual change strategy.

Islamic educational institutions need to change the old perspective with a new paradigm. One of them is with educational production corporations. A new form of organizing and managing education that integrates several aspects, namely academic, economic, social and business without losing the important meaning of education itself which is mutually beneficial and supportive. It is hoped that this paradigm will strengthen the competitiveness of transformative Islamic educational institutions. The purpose of this article is to examine the challenges and opportunities of educational production corporations in increasing the competitiveness of transformative Islamic educational institutions. This research uses library research. The data collection technique used is literature collection, namely collecting library materials related to the research object. This research uses a library research approach. The data collection technique used is literature collection. This research involves collecting data or scientific papers that are relevant to the research object from various library sources. The results of the research show that the challenge for educational institutions in increasing their competitiveness in the era of independent learning is by using the concept of educational production corporations, namely; a) demand for superior educational production and services, in line with needs, and able to compete in the global market; b) minimal human, financial and infrastructure resources in managing the education sector; c) maintaining harmony between academic, social and economic interests in the context of educational business. Production corporations in the education sector as an effort to increase the competitiveness of transformative Islamic educational institutions can be realized one way by analyzing opportunities from the superiority of this concept.

Study on vertical isolation effect of ring springs in single-layer spherical reticulated dome structures

Ring springs have the advantages of simple structure, small space occupation and strong buffering capacity, so a ring spring vertical isolation device (RSVID) is proposed. The structure and working principle of RSVID are explained. In order to apply RSVID to the numerical model of the overall structure, OpenSees is redeveloped and a mechanical model that simulates RSVID is added to its material library. The design goal of this study is to extend the natural vibration period of the isolated structure, which is used to determine the stiffness of ring spring. Subsequently, RSVID and friction pendulum isolation bearings are combined to form a 3D isolation system which is applied to 60-meter span single-layer spherical reticulated domes, and then the numerical model of isolated structure and original structures are established in OpenSees software. The simulation results show that the isolation effect of 3D-isolated structure with RSVID is better than that of horizontal isolated structure.

Usability Analysis of User Interface (UI) Design Using the Heuristics Method on Library Website

The library website is an important portal for users to access information, especially in the context of education and research. An evaluation of the quality of the Yogyakarta State University library website was conducted to ensure that the site meets the principles of usability, using the heuristic method developed by Jacob Nielsen. This method aims to determine usability issues in user interface design. Observation of the library.uny.ac.id website shows several problems with the user interface that can affect user experience. This research aims to evaluate and provide recommendations for improvements to the usability of the interface design of the Yogyakarta State University library website. This research method is qualitative through a literature approach that involves a critical and in-depth study of various library materials relevant to the topic of the problem. The results of the study are expected to be information and evaluation materials to develop programs and improve the library website to make it more attractive, informative, innovative, and easy to use by all users. This evaluation also emphasizes the importance of easy access, attractive appearance, and user-friendly design to increase user satisfaction and prevent them from switching to other better websites.

Speaking skills are a person's skills in communicating to other people verbally. Speaking skills are a form of human behavior that is related to neurological, linguistic and psychological factors. Speaking skills are a person's communication process in arranging various words into a sentence so that other people understand the message conveyed in the form of ideas, opinions, or in the form of expressing all feelings and contents of the heart. The main goal of speaking is to be verbally skilled in expressing ideas correctly, precisely and with reason, but without too much hesitation. In order to convey thoughts effectively, the speaker should understand the meaning of everything he wants to communicate, he must be able to evaluate the effect of his communication on his listener(s), and he must know the principles underlying all speaking situations, both in general and individually. This research uses the library research method, which is a way to collect data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to the research topic. Data collected through searching and construction from various sources, such as books, journals and previous research. Library materials obtained from various references are analyzed critically and in depth to support research propositions and ideas.

Spectral library of gemological minerals from NE Brazil: A reference to aid the reflectance spectra-based discrimination of gem-quality materials

We report a spectral library of gem-quality minerals from NE Brazil and imitation material as a strategic, rapid, nondestructive, and relatively cost-effective tool to be used as a reference to aid in discriminating gemological materials. Our study used spectra data collected by ASD-FieldSpec spectroradiometers (Standard Resolution and High-Resolution Next Generation) for 42 gem-quality mineral samples of beryl, emerald, elbaite tourmaline, euclase, vesuvianite, and apatite crystals from the Borborema Province. In addition, five emerald imitations and nine faceted emeralds from unknown provenances were also used to compose the spectral dataset. The main metals- and molecules-related absorption features were interpreted to show the similarities and differences of the spectral signatures from the minerals and imitation samples. In addition, the principal component analysis (PCA) was applied for data dimensionality reduction of the normalized reflectance spectra (n = 115), and the significance of PCs (99% of variance) was interpreted to highlight the main mineral groups. FreeViz algorithm was employed as an alternative for efficient visualization of PCs’ axes, showing a suitable discrimination of the samples. For example, the clustering of (a) beryl and emerald samples, (b) iron-rich elbaites (blue and green colors), and (c) Cu- and Mn-rich elbaites (Paraíba tourmaline and green varieties) was revealed, summarizing the similarities already expected from the qualitative spectral signature inspections and automating the discrimination of main mineral groups. Beyond introducing a spectral library of gem materials from NE Brazil, the methodology supports studies of gem classification and the authenticity assessment of diverse gem materials. The methodology can also be expanded to other reflectance datasets of gem-quality minerals worldwide.

Machine learning accelerates the screening of efficient metal-oxide catalysts for photocatalytic water splitting

Photocatalytic water splitting represents a sustainable avenue for hydrogen production, yet the traditional trial-and-error approach for identifying efficient photocatalysts among numerous candidates is cumbersome. In this paper, we introduce a machine learning (ML)-driven approach for rapid screening of promising metal oxide photocatalysts for hydrogen generation. This methodology comprises three key steps: the construction of a comprehensive material library, ML-accelerated material screening, and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations for verification. Through this process, we successfully identify ten metal oxides with good energy levels and charge carrier transport properties from an initial library of 860 candidates. Notably, CsYO2 emerges as a standout candidate, exhibiting excellent photocatalytic water-splitting performance on its (001) crystal face, with Y atoms identified as active sites through DFT calculations. This study demonstrates the efficacy of applying machine learning to the precise and rapid screening of vast material databases, paving the way for discovering novel and efficient photocatalysts.

The aim of this research is to explain the concept of character education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari, explain KH Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts on student character in education and explain the relevance of KH Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts on character education to the implementation of the 2023 Merdeka Belajar curriculum. The approach used in this research is a historical approach. With this approach, the author can use it to study the biography and works of KH Hasyim Asy'ari. The type of research that the author uses is library research, namely research carried out to solve problems which basically relies on a critical and in-depth review of relevant library materials. The limitations of the problem that will be discussed are only regarding the relevance of character education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari and character education in the independent learning curriculum. The results of this research are that the concept of character education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts includes Sincerity, Practicing Qona'ah, Tawdhu', Zuhud, Behaving Waro', Behaving Patience, Avoiding Immorality and Dirty Things. The character education of students according to the thoughts of KH Hasyim Asy'ari in the book adabulalim walmuta'alim is as follows: Student Character towards Themselves, Student Character towards their Teachers, Student Character towards the lesson, Student Character towards the book (book) and learning tools. The relevance of the adabulalim walmuta'alim book to the implementation of education in 2023 includes: Faith, Devotion to God Almighty, Noble Character, Independence, Mutual Cooperation, Critical Reasoning, Creative.

Analysis of the impact of material properties on tabletability by principal component analysis and partial least squares regression

Principal component analysis (PCA) and partial least squares regression (PLS) were combined in this study to identify key material descriptors determining tabletability in direct compression and roller compaction. An extensive material library including 119 material descriptors and tablet tensile strengths of 44 powders and roller compacted materials with varying drug loads was generated to systematically elucidate the impact of different material descriptors, raw API and filler properties as well as process route on tabletability. A PCA model was created which highlighted correlations between different powder descriptors and respective characterization methods and, thus, can enable reduction of analyses to save resources to a certain extent. Subsequently, PLS models were established to identify key material attributes for tabletability such as density and particle size but also surface energy, work of cohesion and wall friction, which were for the first time demonstrated by PLS as highly relevant for tabletability in roller compaction and direct compression. Further, PLS based on extensive material characterization enabled the prediction of tabletability of materials unknown to the model. Thus, this study highlighted how PCA and PLS are useful tools to elucidate the correlations between powder and tabletability, which will enable more robust prediction of manufacturability in formulation development.

Using a normative juridical approach, namely a legal research method carried out by examining library materials or secondary data. The results of the research show that waste water management in the State of Singapore can be said to be quite successful and can be an example to be adopted and implemented in DKI Jakarta as part of the form of handling in order to realize the mandate of Article 33 Paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution, namely distributed social justice in responding to legal reality regarding the purpose of water as a social asset and capital asset so as to close the gap in privatization of water by the private sector.

The Negative Impact of Social Media on Generation Z in Election Activities in 2024

Social media has become the main platform for Generation Z to obtain political information and participate in the political process. However, in this context, social media can also bring a number of negative impacts that can affect Generation Z's ability to make rational choices. This research investigates the negative impact of social media on Generation Z in the process of making rational choices in the 2024 general election with the aim of improving the quality of Generation Z's thinking and expanding their rationalisation in making choices and determining leaders who will be influential in the future. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with the nature of a normative juridical approach, which is carried out by examining library materials or secondary data. The results showed that the negative impact of the role of social media on Generation Z greatly influenced Generation Z's rational choice of Presidential and legislative elections in 2024. This is because Generation Z's quality of thinking is vulnerable to the negative impact of social media, making it difficult for Generation Z to make rational choices in elections. This finding has significant implications for the democratic process, given that Generation Z is an important future voter.

White collar crime generally refers to crimes that are financially motivated and are usually committed by business professionals and government officials. White collar crime cases are difficult to track because they are usually committed by officials who have power, have the power to produce laws and play a role in making various vital decisions. White collar crime is also very difficult to be touched by the law because it occurs in a closed environment. In connection with the issues raised and researched, the method that the author will use in the context of this research is Normative Juridical which examines the issue of norms including their contradictions. In research, a distinction is generally made between data obtained directly from the public and from library materials. The regulation of corporations as subjects of criminal law is motivated by different histories and experiences in each country, including Indonesia. However, in the end there is a common view, namely that the development of industrialization and progress in the fields of economics and trade have encouraged the idea that the subject of criminal law is no longer limited to natural humans (natuurlijke person) but also includes corporations . That, as explained above, corporate crimes or also categorized as white collar crimes should be able to be held responsible for the crimes they have committed. Either use the rules of the articles in the Criminal Code or laws outside the Criminal Code as mentioned above.

The literature review approach was chosen because it allows collecting information from various relevant sources to answer the research problem formulation. The data collection method is carried out by taking data from the library, reading, taking notes and processing research materials. The results of the study conclude that Spotify has succeeded in implementing an effective global marketing strategy to expand its reach and influence in the competitive and diverse music market. With a focus on product personalization, and collaborative partnerships, Spotify has demonstrated significant innovation in facing the challenges of globalization.

Islamic Education on Quality Digital Culture Transformation in The Succes 2030 SDGs

Facing an era of disruption, there must be a program to prepare human resources with the right digital skills to face change and maximize the potential of Indonesia's digital society. Islam faces increasingly strong pressures from globalization towards the demands of digital culture. The government's efforts are focused on encouraging the achievement of goals and increasing the quality education development index in Indonesia through the SDGs until 2030. Therefore, the aim of the research is to describe Islamic education towards quality digital cultural transformation in making the SDGs 2030 a success. The method in this research uses literature studies which involves library materials such as Bappenas (Regional Development Planning Agency) data, books, journals and other internet-based information. The conclusion of this research is that technology is increasingly bringing innovation and insight into world developments which makes people proficient in its use. Islamic education efforts in maximizing digital culture aim to shape, plan, train and develop every Muslim individual to be proficient in Islamic knowledge and life experiences. Corruption is one of the social diseases that is the same as other types of crimes such as theft. The problem is that corruption is increasing along with the progress of prosperity and technology. This indicates that there are problems with the enforcement of copyright law in the field of information and communication technology that are still not effective in preventing infringement and suppressing the pirated content market. This research aims to find out how to enforce copyright law related to OTT services and to examine the problems so that it can be used as a material for national law evaluation. The research method used is normative legal research or library research which is conducted by examining legal library materials consisting of primary and secondary law. The results of this research indicate that the copyright law of OTT services have not been specifically regulated and the government's role in monitoring and eradicating the electronic information piracy market is still not optimal.

Electrochemically Induced Deposition (ECiD): A Versatile Method that Greatly Extends the Portfolio of Surface Coatings and Materials Fabricated by Electrochemical Deposition

Electrochemically induced deposition or ECiD can be defined as the deposition of compound films on a surface, as the result of chemical reactions in the near surface region between a precursor present in the bulk solution and an electrochemically generated precursor, mediator, or catalyst near that surface. The ECiD process has evolved from an odd curiosity into a thriving new branch in electrodeposition science. The library of materials synthesized by ECiD has been greatly expanded, along with the number of precipitation triggering knobs or tricks. Together with the breadth of possibilities and applications, the science behind the process has also accelerated. This article introduces the principle of the ECiD process for the electrodeposition of oxides, hydroxides, and compounds such as metal phosphates and metal-organic frameworks. The article discusses the mechanisms of these electrochemically induced deposition reactions as well as the pro-bases used to trigger the deposition.

PROFIT SHARING INSTITUTIONS FROM AN ISLAMIC LEGAL PERSPECTIVE AND CUSTOMARY LAW IN INDONESIA

Humans are creatures who like to socialize, they like to socialize with each other, and are called social creatures. In life, humans as social creatures are citizens of a living unit, acting as members of indigenous communities and citizens. Each individual must be willing to sacrifice personal rights for the sake of the common good, including in implementing profit sharing institutions. The problem is, how are profit sharing institutions implemented in Indonesia, viewed from Islamic Law and Customary Law? The aim of the research is to get an overview of the implementation of profit sharing institutions in Indonesia and viewed from Islamic Law and culture. This research uses a normative juridical approach, namely by researching and testing library materials or what is called secondary data with the aim of studying and analyzing the Profit Sharing institutions. The analytical method is research carried out based on statutory regulations which apply as positive legal rules and is presented without using formulas or numbers. The results of the research show that the implementation of profit sharing institutions in Indonesia has various and universal methods, one of which is in activities Syariah banking. Meanwhile, profit sharing institutions are reviewed from Islamic law, and indigenous communities are used in cultivating land, as a form of profit sharing agreement. The advice given is that the implementation of profit sharing institutions in Indonesia is still not yet balanced, it is necessary to apply the principle of justice. This is imbalanced, unbalanced and not in accordance with the size (proportional).
