Exploring Gendered Effect Of Perceived Organization Support On Self-Efficacy

To compete in an increasingly diverse and rapidly changing marketplace, organizations are attempting to bring in varied perspectives and experiences to every management challenge by ensuring diverse representation at all levels of management. Women however continue to be under-represented in managerial positions. Recent studies have suggest that Perceived Organization Support (POS) enhances psychological empowerment amongst employees that helps them to grow in their careers. Self efficacy, a correlate of psychological empowerment that involves one’s professional competence, is thus likely to play a significant role in career advancement of qualified women in organizations. Following Joan Acker (1990)’s Theory of Gendered Organizations, this research explores whether and how gender bias may still be embedded within organizational support practices like POS with respect to their impact on self efficacy amongst the managerial employees.Employing a sequential mixed methodology, data was collected in two waves. In the first phase of the study data was obtained using quantitative methods from a sample of managers (N = 294), followed by a qualitative study using in-depth interviews with 19 women professionals. The quantitative study reveals that POS impacts self efficacy of men and women in significantly different ways. Findings from the qualitative analyses draws interconnections among the intrinsic as well as socially constructed factors to make the internal mechanisms more explicit. It suggests that POS when filtered through the lens of gender identity leads to unintended effects on self efficacy and thereby lowers the sense of empowerment amongst female managerial employees. Implications of the research for both theory as well as practice are discussed.

The Measure of Scarcity of Blue and Green Water and Its Driving Factors via the SWAT Model: An Application to the Upper Qingjiang River, China

ABSTRACTBlue and green water is vital for the economy and life. Water scarcity occurs when the water resource supply is insufficient to support human, ecological and economic activities within a certain time and space. The water scarcity index quantifies regional blue–green water shortages providing a new perspective for evaluating water usage. Moreover, analysing the driving factors of blue–green water changes can offer a reliable reference for exploring their causes. Taking the Qingjiang River as an example, this study first used the SWAT model to simulate the upper Qingjiang River's monthly streamflow. Then, management levels were mapped to township scale via GIS to calculate blue–green water scarcities. Finally, a geo‐detector detected the impacts of natural and socio‐economic factors on blue–green water. The results show that (1) the SWAT model has good simulation results and accurately describes the water cycle process in the upper Qingjiang River. (2) From 2010 to 2022, the blue water scarcity indices were stable, whereas the green water scarcity indices first increased but then decreased. (3) The driving force of interaction is stronger than the single‐factor effect on blue–green water. This study examines water resource conditions in the basin, offering insights for township‐scale water resource management.

Evaluation of Soft and Hard Total Quality Management at Shahroud University of Medical Sciences.

This research aims to examine the current level of soft and hard Total Quality Management (TQM) at Shahroud University of Medical Sciences and explore the factors contributing to its success. The present cross-sectional study included 462 university managers and employees selected by stratified random sampling method in 2022. The participants were asked to answer TQM, soft TQM, and hard TQM questionnaires. The data were analyzed using ANOVA and chi-square tests, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and structural equation modeling. Managers made up 73 of the participants (15.8%). The average score for TQM was 143.02±11.56, soft TQM 52.47±9.35, and hard TQM 36.49±9.54. There was no statistically significant variation in the mean score of hard TQM, soft TQM, and TQM based on gender or course completion. There was a strong and positive link between the scores of soft TQM, hard TQM, and TQM. Leadership commitment, employee suggestion systems, problem-solving groups, information quality, and preventive maintenance were strongly associated with quality management in the structural equation model. Given the university's average level of TQM implementation, it appears that steps should be taken to improve the evaluation process and provide feedback to employees. Steps should also be taken toward improving the commitment of senior management to implementing and enhancing the system of employee suggestions, establishing problem-solving groups, and training job duties. TQM can assist employees and increase the quality of the information to improve the university's rank in quality management.

Analysis of the Principal's Level of Financial Management Understanding in Enhancing Facilities and Infrastructure

This research evaluates the principal's understanding of financial management and its direct impact on improving facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Palopo. Using a quantitative research approach, the study reveals that the principal’s understanding of financial management falls within the medium category, with an average score of 57.75. This indicates a fairly good comprehension but highlights the need for optimization. Meanwhile, the adequacy level of school facilities and infrastructure is rated at 51.92%, which, although classified as sufficient, still requires improvement. The findings emphasize a direct correlation between financial management understanding and the quality of school facilities. Effective financial management allows for better allocation of resources, ensuring that funds are utilized efficiently to enhance infrastructure. However, challenges such as limited human resources and budget constraints hinder progress. Managerial focus on the quality and suitability of school facilities plays a crucial role in bridging this gap. Therefore, strengthening financial literacy among school leaders can lead to more strategic planning and improved infrastructure development. This study underscores the necessity of enhancing financial management skills to maximize available resources, ultimately fostering a better learning environment through improved school facilities. These insights offer valuable directions for policy improvements and future educational management strategies

Factors affecting auditors’ decisions to adopt Big Data analytics: a mixed method study

The purpose of the present study was to address the primary research question: “To what extent do perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU) explain auditors’ behavioral intentions (BI) to adopt big data analytics (BDA) in auditing firms in Palestine?" A mixed-method approach was utilized, integrating quantitative data from a census survey of 94 auditors at the Big Four accounting firms in Palestine, which achieved an 86% response rate, with qualitative data from semi-structured interviews conducted with 9 auditors at the managerial level or higher. This methodological combination strengthens the validity and reliability of the research outcomes. The findings revealed that PU directly influences auditors' intentions to adopt BDA, and PEOU also affects BI to adopt, but not with the same significance. The study’s findings supported the use of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), indicating that auditors are more likely to adopt BDA if they perceive it as useful for their audit firms and if it helps achieve the required efficiency.

The article presents the essence of the concept of indicative planning as a type of strategic management. Groups of indicators used in the framework of indicative planning methodologies are presented. The emphasis is on the regional level of indicative planning. The advantages of indicative planning are discussed, including its flexibility, focus on long-term goals and the ability to adapt to changing conditions. The main risks and limitations are identified, such as the complexity of coordination between management levels, insufficient transparency and potential data manipulation. A conclusion is made about the need to improve the methodology of indicative planning to increase its effectiveness in regional strategic management.

The role of organizational commitment and demographic factors in enhancing organizational citizenship behavior among employees in financial institutions

Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) can improve organizational effectiveness. Individual altruism and commitment to the organization are at the core of OCB. This study aimed to examine the impact of organizational commitment and demographic factors on OCB in the Malaysian financial sector. The cross-sectional study targeted 280 employees from diverse backgrounds and positions across banking and non-banking financial institutions following conventional as well as Islamic Sharia principles in Malaysia. The respondents include individuals from management levels (upper management, middle management, non-management) and divisions (finance, operations, retail/corporate banking, and others). Data analysis included multiple regression analysis and ANOVA. The findings reveal a complex interaction where organizational and normative commitment do not significantly predict OCB, while affective commitment shows a significant positive correlation with OCB. The study revealed that employees with higher emotional attachment to their organization exhibit more OCB (r = 0.155, p < 0.009). In addition, demographic factors, such as education (r = 0.025, p < 0.067), age (r = 0017, p < 0.003), tenure (r = 0.107, p < 0.003), and management level (r = 0.17, p < 0.004) emerge as positive influencers of OCB. Thus, higher education levels, older employees, longer tenure, and managerial positions are linked to higher levels of OCB. At the same time, no significant gender-based differences are observed in employees’ OCB. The findings imply that organizations should emphasize building emotional connections with employees through supportive leadership and a positive work environment to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Impact of COVID-19 on municipal government employees and Well-being in Limpopo Province, South Africa

The global impact of COVID-19 affected organisations and workers in all sectors, fundamentally altering daily life and work routines. However, there has been relatively little examination of how these implications vary across different management levels and job categories. This study investigated the impact of the COVID-19 on municipal employees in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Research focused on four key areas: productivity, mental health, private life, and self-reported health. A cross-sectional survey was used, with data collected from 194 employees through an e-survey platform that was administered physically. The questions were primarily closed-ended, with some structured open-ended questions to capture additional insights. Statistical analyses, including ANOVA and linear regression were performed to assess the associations. The findings demonstrate the varied effects of COVID-19 among job categories. The impact of COVID-19 extended beyond health concerns, positively correlating with family deaths, variation in mental health, and disruptions in work productivity as well as personal lives. Despite widespread coverage of vaccinations and remote work opportunities during lockdowns, the COVID-19 took a toll on both personal and professional fronts, with significant proportions of respondents experiencing personal losses, economic stress, and challenges to mental health. The variability in awareness of COVID-19-related fatalities between departments underscored the importance of transparent communication and rapid responses within organisations. These findings provide crucial insights into the complex interplay of COVID-19's effects on individuals' health, work dynamics, and personal lives, emphasising the need for holistic strategies to mitigate its far-reaching consequences.

The article presents a literature review on the application of digital twin technology in healthcare administration over the past decade. This review examines the potential applications of digital twins at different levels of healthcare management. The formation and global development of digital twin technology are discussed. Examples of the use of digital twins in the management of healthcare institutions and healthcare processes are specified, and their advantages and future prospects are analyzed.

ANALYSIS OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY OF MACHINE-BUILDING INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

The innovative activity of enterprises in the field of machine-building industry of Kazakhstan and its dynamics are considered. To give a brief description of the current state of competitiveness of enterprises of the machine-building industry of the Kazakhstan. Which is the main indicator of the introduction and use of innovations. Also consider the number of innovative enterprises in the mechanical engineering sector of Kazakhstan and the specific weight of their innovative products. The following research methods were used in the work: statistical, structural functional, economic and comparative analysis. The innovative activity of the enterprises of the machine-building industry is an important factor for their development and competitiveness. It allows you to introduce new technologies, improve product quality, increase production efficiency and reduce costs. Despite of all the advantages of innovation, many enterprises face challenges in implementing them. One of the main problems is the lack of financial resources for research and development. In addition, enterprises may have difficulty finding qualified specialists who can implement innovative projects. Enterprises need to create a favourable environment for innovation. It is also important to develop collaborations with other business and scientific institutions to share experience and knowledge. Generally, the innovative activities of enterprises of the machine-building industry are great importance for the development of the industry and the economy as a whole. However, for its successful implementation, it is necessary to solve a number of problems and create favorable conditions. The conducted studies showed a decrease in the specific gravity of innovative products of enterprises of the machine-building industry, based on the peculiarities of innovative activities and the level of innovative management of enterprises of the machine-building industry in the region of the republic.

MANAGERIAL MECHANISM FOR ACCELERATING INNOVATIONS OF TOURISM AND HOTEL BUSINESS ENTITIES

The article proposes the solutions for scientific task of determining the essence and components of the mechanism for accelerating the innovative activity of tourism and hotel business entities. The evolution of the scientific understanding of innovations and the specifics of modern innovation processes in Ukraine, which are carried out in conditions of a stochastic socio-economic environment and extraordinary military-political threats, are discussed in the paper. The paper proposes and grounds the theoretical approach to understanding the essence of the innovative activity of tourism and hotel business entities, which takes into account the systematicity, continuity and interconnectedness of innovation processes in travel business as a reflection for the high elasticity of demand for tourist services in relation to socio-economic and military-political changes. The paper argues the necessity for tourism and hotel business entities in proactive development strategies based on a constant search for innovative ideas, implementation of innovative tourism service technologies, flexible changes in organizational structures and marketing procedures. The paper reveals and discusses the inherent tendency in development of the tourism and hotel business in Ukraine to expand personalized and intelligent products and services based on artificial intelligence and other digital technologies. The changes that occur in the organizational and economic structure of the tourism and hotel business as a result of the intensification of innovation processes are characterized, and a model of continuous innovative activity of tourism and hotel business entities is proposed. The paper determines factors of the internal and external environment that may restrain the introduction of innovations in the tourism and hotel business and discusses sectors of the organizational and economic mechanism responsible for responding to the proper changes. The paper proposes the organizational and economic components of the managerial mechanism for accelerating innovations of tourism and hotel business entities at the micro and macro levels of management

Ecología de aprendizajes sostenibles en América Latina [Ecology of sustainable learning in Latin America

The objective of this study was to generate an emerging theory on the ecology of sustainable learning in Latin America through a hermeneutic analysis of various academic sources published between 2017 and 2022. The research examines the interrelationships between management, education and technology in Latin American contexts. Using systematic literature review and diatopic hermeneutics, the study identifies how sustainable educational practices emerge from the contextualised integration of local knowledge with global perspectives. The results reveal that the sustainability of educational ecosystems depends on their capacity to respond to specific contextual needs, transcending mere technological transfer towards situated models of appropriation. The resulting theorisation proposes a conceptual framework that recognises Latin American epistemological plurality and articulates multiple levels of management, from the institutional to the community, thus contributing to the construction of fairer, more inclusive and more sustainable educational futures in the region.

Research on the Driving Mechanism of the Innovation Ecosystem in China’s Marine Engineering Equipment Manufacturing Industry

To enhance the strength of the marine economy, safeguard marine rights and interests, and promote the sustainable development of marine resources, China is actively building an innovation ecosystem in the marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry. Currently, the main challenge facing China’s marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry innovation ecosystem is a lack of driving forces. Therefore, this paper focuses on the driving mechanism of China’s marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry innovation ecosystem. Through a literature-coding analysis and interpretive structural modeling (ISM), 17 driving factors of the innovation ecosystem in China’s marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry were identified, and an analytical model was constructed to explore the relationships among these driving factors. Combining data from industry experts, the paper reveals the driving mechanism of China’s marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry innovation ecosystem. The results show that the management level, the risk-resilience capability of marine engineering equipment manufacturing enterprises, and the guidance capacity of universities and research institutions are key driving factors of the innovation ecosystem in China’s marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry. Strengthening these driving factors can enhance the system’s overall driving force, contributing to the high-quality development of China’s marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry. The significance of this study lies in providing a theoretical basis for optimizing the allocation of driving factors in China’s marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry innovation ecosystem and offering important pathways for innovation in and the development of the global marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry.

Construction and implementation of intelligent decision support systems in the standardisation of economic management

The rapid development of information technology makes intelligent decision support system play an increasingly important role in economic standardized management. The Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) constructed in this paper includes interaction layer, analysis layer and data layer. The system standardizes the management of enterprise economy through strategic forecasting and decision analysis, economic planning and control, and economic analysis. The study combines the fuzzy hierarchical analysis method (FAHP) and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method (FCE) to evaluate the standardized level of economic management of enterprise A. The evaluation score of the standardized level of enterprise A’s economic management is F=80.955, which is greater than 80, and it belongs to the grade of “good”. It shows that the intelligent decision support system constructed based on this paper can effectively help standardize the management of enterprise economy.

Mobile English Interactive Teaching Design Method Based on Deep Learning

In order to improve the management level of mobile English interactive teaching in the intelligent flipped classroom mode, a design method of mobile English interactive teaching based on deep learning is proposed. Extract the information entropy of the distribution of mobile English interactive teaching resources, analyze the feature quantities of mobile information interaction and channel equilibrium scheduling by using the methods of deep learning and enhanced tracking learning, construct the parameter set of phase space feature reorganization allocation by using the adaptive resource allocation equilibrium control and big data fusion scheduling methods, the dynamic allocation of teaching resources is realized by priority scheduling and dynamic allocation. Realize software development and design under the framework of Linux and NET Framework 4.0. The simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the dynamic allocation and mining ability of mobile English interactive teaching resources, the data fusion level of the platform is high, the channel balance of mobile English interaction is good, and the information interaction ability is strong.

Methodological principles of forming a system for assessing the effectiveness of achieving strategic goals in the digital economy.

The initial prerequisite for any meaningful activity is goals. Only their presence and clear awareness allow to organize the actions of an individual or an organization, direct them to achieve a certain result, encourage improvement, self-development, learning, and determine the search for the best ways and means of activity. The goal-setting process is of particular importance today in the context of forming motivational mechanisms for development and establishing effective management principles for modern business entities in the context of digitalization of business and society. Quite often, it is economic indicators that are a prerequisite for the formation of the general goals of business entities and serve as indicators of the effectiveness of achieving goals. The basis of this approach is the well-known concepts of classical economists, in particular, A. Marshall in his fundamental work “Principles of Economic Science” notes that the progress of economic theory is due to the fact that “money serves as a fairly tolerable measure of the driving force of most of the motives that shape the way of life of a person” [1]. This economic approach has been used for quite a long time in management science, as the determining measure of the success of managers was measured through financial results. It is the achievement of a certain financial result, certain financial parameters that was an indicator of the success and efficiency of the business entity. However, in the context of modern organizations in the VUCA, SPOD, DEST and BANI World, there is a need to solve a scientific problem – to find tools that would allow assessing the effectiveness of management at different levels of management and monitoring intermediate results with the possibility of making corrective actions at different stages of implementation of strategic goals. Therefore, the main objective of the study and the article is to highlight the experience of using a tool for assessing management effectiveness based on the priority of strategic goals. The study was based on the use of: the method of comparison, generalization – to clarify and formalize the essence of the concept, graphoanalytical method – to provide clarity of the material and schematic representation of a number of theoretical and practical provisions of the study.

Problems and Countermeasures of Rural Public Management under the Perspective of Rural Revitalization

In order to deeply understand the challenges and countermeasures of rural public management under the background of rural revitalization, the method of theoretical discussion is adopted to deeply analyze the significance, problems and causes of rural public management. It is found that the unreasonable allocation of public resources, the outdated social governance model and the lack of grassroots governance capacity are the main problems of the current rural public management. This paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing resource allocation, innovating governance mode and strengthening grassroots governance capacity, so as to improve the level of rural public management and promote the healthy development of rural revitalization.
