The purpose of this research is to understand the process of supervising the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Tulung Selapan, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This study employs a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach. The key informants in this research are the principal and the vice principal for facilities and infrastructure, while the supporting informants are the teachers. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involve data reduction, data presentation, and data verification or conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the supervision of facilities and infrastructure maintenance has been carried out well and has led to many positive changes in the school, improving conditions through the implementation of maintenance supervision, which includes awareness, understanding, organization, implementation, and documentation. Supporting factors for the supervision of facilities and infrastructure maintenance include the availability of human resources and good communication. The inhibiting factor is the lack of available funds.

A perspective on smart universities as being downsized smart cities: a technological view of internet of thing and big data

The integration of internet of things (IoT) and big data technologies is transforming the overall perspective of managing various sectors of modern life; with higher educational sectors being no exception of this transformation. This paper explores the idea of a “smart university” as an extension of the overarching “smart city” framework, emphasizing the blending of IoT and big data technologies within higher education institutions. The study investigates the incorporation of IoT technologies throughout university campuses, including intelligent classrooms, smart infrastructure, and device networking. Moreover, the paper delves into the substantial role played by big data analytics in processing and extracting meaningful insights from extensive data generated by IoT devices in a Smart University. The use of predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and data-driven decision-making contributes to personalized learning experiences, adaptive campus management, and proactive maintenance of university facilities. Furthermore, this paper not only emphasizes the potential benefits of deploying IoT and big data in a university setting but also addresses challenges related to security, privacy, and ethical considerations. By embracing a comprehensive approach to technology integration, universities can leverage the capabilities of IoT and big data to establish intelligent, interconnected, and flexible educational environments that align with the broader vision of a smart city.

Assessment of ecosystem services of recreational and health-improving forests in Ivano-Frankivsk Region

Optimising the interaction between society and the environment is one of the fundamental directions of recreational forest management. To improve the efficiency of using ecosystem services of recreational and health-improving forests, there is a need to develop new approaches and tools for management decision-making, a key component of which is the assessment of these beneficial goods. The aim of the study is to analyse public opinion regarding the expressed and identified preferences for the characteristics of recreational forests and recreational facilities, as well as to assess the willingness to pay for preferred forest characteristics and the maintenance of recreational facilities in proper condition. The study was conducted from June to August 2022 using a direct and anonymous online survey. It was found that respondents are willing to pay an average of 1-100 UAH/year to create and maintain the preferred characteristics of the forest and 101-500 UAH/year to create and maintain recreational facilities. As for the respondents’ perception of forest characteristics that affect the choice of a place to relax, preference is given to mixed forests (74.8%), in which three tree species grow (57.9%), and forests up to 20 meters high (40.2%). On the other hand, only 15.9% of respondents preferred forests taller than 20 meters. The presence of deadwood in the forest is positively perceived by 51.4% of respondents, and 10.3% do not pay attention to the presence or absence of standing dead and drying up trees in the forest. The most important needs for which respondents visit recreational forests were walks, family recreation, and observing forest landscapes. The integration of the identified perceptions and preferences regarding recreational forests and objects into innovative decision-making in the field of forestry ensures a synergy of benefits, such as increasing the attractiveness of recreational forests and forest landscapes, increasing the resilience of forests to climate change, and meeting the local demand for wood biomass

Adopting e-learning technology as a mode of instruction: How prepared are tertiary institutions in Cross River State, Nigeria?

This study investigates the level of preparedness among tertiary institutions for adopting e-learning as a mode of instruction in Cross River State, Nigeria. This study investigated institutional preparedness to adopt e-learning mode instruction based on the following indices: availability and accessibility of e-learning facilities, staff acquisition of e-learning skills, institutional provision for staff e-learning needs and institutional maintenance of e-learning facilities. This study adopted a descriptive survey research design and data was collected from 400 lecturers from the four tertiary institutions in Cross River State. The validated instrument was titled “Preparedness of Tertiary Institutions for E-Learning Technology Instruction Mode Questionnaire” (PTIETIMQ).” Descriptive statistics, percentages, mean and standard deviation) were used to answer the research questions while the population t-test of one sample mean was used to analyze the hypotheses. The results obtained from the analysis showed that some technologies required for implementing e-learning modes of instruction were mostly unavailable. However, the few available ones were inaccessible due to their disproportionate ratio to the student population and poor maintenance of the available e-learning facilities. Teaching staff proficiency in e-learning-related activities and institutional provision for their e-learning needs is significantly low suggesting that tertiary institutions are unprepared for e-learning modes of instruction. We recommend that institutional heads provide an enabling environment for e-learning technology to be embraced by teaching staff and students as a mode of instruction in line with global best practices.

Nuclear Facilities Maintenance Culture Development Study

Maintenance is an essential part of the assets and facilities in the organization/company. This deserves serious attention because it is necessary for organizational/company resources, especially for aging nuclear facilities/installations. Maintenance is the main program used to manage company assets and facilities. A lack of asset and facility maintenance culture increases management and maintenance costs. A maintenance culture is needed to improve maintenance skills, tenacity, and perseverance. Maintenance culture is recognized as an essential aspect to improve the quality of maintenance work to maintain structures, systems, and components (SSC) so that they are ready for use at any time/when needed, as well as part of the implementation of aging management programs to extend the life of assets and facilities. This paper will discuss the development of the maintenance culture and review poor maintenance cultures and their solutions. This paper aims to develop a maintenance culture to prevent premature aging and extend the life of assets and facilities. Factors developing maintenance culture include leadership, communication, rewards and recognition, responsibility, rules and standards, empowerment, motivation, involvement, policies, work strategy and planning, teamwork, training and education, awareness, and organizational structure. Corruption, poor leadership, attitude problems, and lack of policy cause poor maintenance culture. The solution to a poor maintenance culture is selecting the right people, improving job skills and knowledge, repairing equipment, ensuring machine/equipment readiness, good planning, scheduling, and general organization, measuring performance, motivating and encouraging desire, and providing sufficient funding. Assessing Preference of Four-Wheel Tractors among Farmers of Parsa District, Nepal

This study aims to examine attributes preferred by farmers of Parsa district for choosing four-wheel tractors. This study presents how farmers perceived their effectiveness based on common attributes of tractors like origin, brand, fuel consumption, horsepower, price, availability of spare parts, and their repair and maintenance. The study is quantitative and based on primary data. A non-probabilistic sampling technique was used with a sample size of 85. Conjoint analysis was applied to estimate part worth utility value, utility range and ranking the attributes of four-wheel tractor. The result show that farmers gave highest preference to fuel consumption with respect to highest utility value following horsepower, origin, price, availability of spare parts and repair and maintenance. Similarly, results show that branded and low-price tractor whose spare parts can be found easily in local market along with assured repair and maintenance facility available from authorised agency is preferred by farmers. Horsepower has been important attributes for tractorselection, where farmers are mostly preferring tractors having horsepower greater than 45 hp. This study findings will provide valuable tools and a basic framework for suppliers and manufacturers for evaluating their market efficiency and preparing strategies for promoting four-wheel tractors.

Review of the Training Room "The Role of Training Management Personnel"

In the context of human resources development (HRD), the role of training management personnel is crucial in ensuring the effectiveness and success of training programs [1]. This article aims to delve deeper into the roles and characteristics of the four main groups of training management personnel: instructors, educators, educational staff, and other personnel. Instructors, as the frontline in the teaching and learning process, play a crucial role in delivering content and facilitating learning. They not only possess adequate technical expertise in their respective fields but also have good communication skills to deliver information in an engaging and meaningful way to training participants. Educators, often integral parts of the teaching team, are responsible for curriculum planning, development, and management. They design effective learning strategies, develop relevant evaluation tools, and are responsible for continuous monitoring and improvement of training programs. Educational staff, on the other hand, are responsible for the administrative and operational management of training programs. They plan and organize training activities, manage facilities and available resources, and ensure that all administrative aspects run smoothly to support the smooth implementation of programs. In addition to these three main groups of training management personnel, there are also other personnel who support the implementation of training programs. This includes administrative staff handling general administration, technicians responsible for facility maintenance, and other facilitators who assist in the implementation of training activities. Through a deeper understanding of the roles and characteristics of each group of training management personnel, it is hoped that training institutions can improve the overall effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of the programs they offer, thereby making significant contributions to HRD and organizational quality improvement [ 4].

Penerapan Strategic Approach Pada Kegiatan Company Visit PT. Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk

PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) is a company engaged in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). GMF has a business unit consisting of comprehensive aircraft maintenance, such as commercial aircraft maintenance, military aircraft maintenance and industrial services. At this company, the author took part in practical work activities in the Corporate Communications & CSR unit which is under the auspices of the Corporate Secretary & Legal service which carries out the public relations function at GMF. In this report, the author will explain the application of 4 strategic approaches to company visits held for GMF stakeholders using interview, observation and literature study methods. The stakeholder aspects that will be explained from the perspective of Grunig's 4 Linkage Model are functional linkage, enabling linkage, normative linkage, and diffused linkage. PT GMF approaches stakeholders using 4 strategic approaches, namely assertive, defensive, collaborative and responsive.

Exploring factors influencing aviation MRO services with blockchain technology in Taiwan

PurposeBlockchain is the fastest-growing technology currently being used in the aviation industry, especially in aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. This study aims to create an analytic framework to assess the main factors and subfactors that have significantly influence the blockchain used in aviation MRO services. A mixed-methods approach is used to gain a comprehensive understanding of how blockchain is being adopted in aircraft maintenance facilities, Semi-structured interviews and questionnaires are used to gather data. The questionnaire is focused on the present state of the MRO industry.Design/methodology/approachBased on the literature review, a framework including four factors and 12 subfactors is developed, and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is then established. This study explores how these factors influence the implementation of blockchain in aviation MRO services. The five aviation MRO services providers in Taiwan, namely, “Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation,” “Taiwan Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Co., Ltd.,” “Air Asia Company Ltd.,” “Aerospace Industrial Development Corp.” and “GE Evergreen Engine Services Corporation” are considered; furthermore, 55 experts working in these organizations were invited to evaluate the relative importance criteria in the AHP framework.FindingsThe results indicate that “inventory management” is the most important criterion, followed by “provisioning, procurement and sales” and “maintenance planning.” In addition, the three most important subfactors are “parts interchangeability,” “customer stock” and “SPEC2K interface for ATA SPEC 2000.”Originality/valueAsia is ranked as the second most important aviation MRO service market in the world. Taiwan has the shortest flight hours in the western Pacific region, the seven major foreign cities in this area. Aviation MRO service providers located in Taiwan are the best choices for aircraft MRO in the Asia-Pacific region, indicating that Taiwan serves as a promising market development evaluation model for blockchain aviation MRO services. The results offer a comprehensive overview of the relative importance of different criteria for MRO services that use blockchains. In addition, the findings present the market potential for key players in the aviation industry, including aircraft engineers, airline companies, aircraft component manufacturers and aviation MRO service providers.

Mechanical Properties of Adjacent Pile Bases in Collapsible Loess under Metro Depot

Metro transit construction has begun to develop rapidly in northwest China because of the acceleration of urbanization. Accordingly, metro depots are also regarded as an essential auxiliary facility for stopping, operation, and maintenance of trains. Meanwhile, many commercial buildings are constructed over metro depots to improve the utilization rate of land due to the increasingly scarce urban land resources, known as transit-oriented development (TOD). These buildings have a large covered area and transfer concentrated loads to the bases. Therefore, pile bases under metro depots have the bearing characteristics of undertaking large concentrated loads, while lesser loads are placed on the soil between the adjacent pile bases. Additionally, the main ground in northwest China is collapsible loess, so the collapsibility should also be considered. Based on the above background, this research performed static loading tests with and without immersion in a reduced scale of adjacent pile bases under a metro depot in Xi’an. The remolding process of natural loess could destroy its structure and the anisotropy of natural loess could also affect the test results. Therefore, four kinds of artificial collapsible loess with different mass ratios of barite powder, kaolin, river sand, cement, industrial salt, and calcium oxide were made by the free-drop method. This method could make the artificial loess simulate the structure of natural loess reasonably. Then, the artificial loess with the most similar properties to intact loess was selected by comparison. Finally, static loading tests with this artificial loess were implemented. The results showed that the ultimate bearing capacity was 4.5 kN. At the same time, the axial force decreased along depth, since the pile shaft friction was positive, and the load sharing ratio of pile tip force increased to 0.58 when the load exceeded 4.5 kN in the situation without immersion; the settlement of pile bases increased significantly after immersion, while the negative shaft friction occurred at the depth of −8 cm~−35 cm, and the load sharing ratio of pile tip force reached 0.92.

Utilizing whole genome sequencing to characterize Listeria spp. persistence and transmission patterns in a farmstead dairy processing facility and its associated farm environment

Farmstead dairy processing facilities may be particularly susceptible to Listeria spp. contamination due to the close physical proximity of their processing environments (PE) to associated dairy farm environments (FE). In this case study, we supported the implementation of interventions focused on improving (i) cleaning and sanitation efficacy, (ii) hygienic zoning, and (iii) sanitary equipment/facility design and maintenance in a farmstead dairy processing facility, and evaluated their impact on Listeria spp. detection in the farmstead's PE over 1 year. Detection of Listeria spp. in the farmstead's PE was numerically reduced from 50% to 7.5% after 1 year of intervention implementation, suggesting that these interventions were effective at improving Listeria spp. control. In addition, environmental samples were also collected from the farmstead's FE to evaluate the risk of the FE as a potential source of Listeria spp. in the PE. Overall, detection of Listeria spp. was higher in samples collected from the FE (75%, 27/36) compared with samples collected from the PE (24%, 29/120). Whole genome sequencing (WGS) performed on select isolates collected from the PE and FE supported the identification of 6 clusters (range of 3 to 15 isolates per cluster) that showed ≤ 50 high quality single nucleotide polymorphism (hqSNP) differences. Of these 6 clusters, 3 (i.e., clusters 2, 4, and 5) contained isolates that were collected from both the PE and FE, suggesting that transmission between these 2 environments was likely. Moreover, all cluster 2 isolates represented a clonal complex (CC) of L. monocytogenes commonly associated with dairy farm environmental reservoirs (i.e., CC666), which may support that the farmstead's FE represented an upstream source of the cluster 2 isolates that were found in the PE. Overall, our data underscore that, while the FE can represent a potential upstream source of Listeria spp. contamination in a farmstead dairy processing facility, implementation of targeted interventions can help effectively minimize Listeria spp. contamination in the PE.

Innovative sanitation solutions: evaluating the performance of faecal sludge treatment plant in humanitarian settings: A case study from Rohingya camps in Bangladesh

The Rohingya crisis has precipitated one of the most significant humanitarian emergencies, resulting in over 900,000 refugees residing in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The rapid influx of refugees has posed substantial challenges in providing essential services, particularly sanitation, in a densely populated and resource-constrained environment. This study examines the performance of faecal sludge treatment plants (FSTPs) implemented in the Rohingya camps, focusing on key performance indicators such as treatment efficiency, operational challenges, health outcomes, and resource recovery potential. Analysis reveals that FSTPs have played a crucial role in reducing pathogen levels in treated sludge, thereby mitigating the risk of waterborne diseases and environmental contamination. Despite these successes, operational challenges such as frequent desludging, infrastructure maintenance, and the logistical complexities of waste collection and transport persist. The study highlights the importance of addressing these challenges through regular maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, and innovative logistical solutions. Health outcomes have shown improvement with a reduction in sanitation-related diseases, underscoring the health benefits of effective FSTP implementation. Additionally, resource recovery from treated sludge presents a sustainable approach, with potential applications in agriculture and energy production. Community engagement has emerged as a critical factor in the success of these interventions. Effective community involvement in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of sanitation facilities has been instrumental in ensuring their acceptance and proper use. The study emphasizes the need for continued community education and participation to sustain these benefits. In conclusion, while FSTPs have significantly improved sanitation conditions in the Rohingya camps, ongoing efforts are required to enhance operational efficiency, address logistical challenges, and foster community involvement. The findings provide valuable insights for the design and implementation of innovative sanitation solutions in similar humanitarian settings worldwide.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FIRE EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM AT DR. TADJUDDIN CHALID MAKASSAR

The growth and arrangement of existing buildings is often not balanced with the readiness of building infrastructure or gives the impression of forced development so that the resulting physical buildings pay little attention to fire hazards. Fire prevention is a building system that aims to save lives and property from the dangers of fire. Preparedness and handling before a fire occurs is a very important factor in preventing fires. The aim of this research is to see whether the implementation of the emergency response system at RSUP Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Makassar is in accordance with standards. This research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach through in-depth interviews. The informants for this research are the person in charge of K3RS, Head of Sanitation Installation, members of the hospital emergency response team , hospital fire brigade team, hospital management team and Head of Facilities and Infrastructure Maintenance. The research results showed that RSUP Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Makassar has implemented a fire emergency response system that is in accordance with standards, but it is not yet optimal, such as evaluation of training and education that has not been implemented, in the active fire system there are still APARs that have expired and several hydrants that are not attached with instructions for use, then in the system passive fires, there are still gathering places that are still used as parking lots and there are no emergency stairs specifically for patients who use wheelchairs. Integration of Internet of Things (IoT) Technology in the Management of Educational Facilities and Infrastructure

Internet of Things (IoT) technology has developed rapidly and has had a significant impact on various sectors, including education. The integration of IoT in the management of educational facilities and infrastructure offers the potential to improve the efficiency, monitoring, and maintenance of facilities in real time. In this digital era, the need for a smarter and more responsive management system is very important to support an effective and sustainable teaching and learning process. This research aims to analyze the potential and implementation of IoT technology in the management of educational facilities and infrastructure. The main focus is to identify the benefits, challenges, and impact of implementing IoT on operational efficiency, rationality, and quality of educational services. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research results show that the integration of IoT in the management of educational facilities and infrastructure can increase operational efficiency through automating facility monitoring and maintenance. For example, IoT sensors enable early detection of damage and maintenance needs, which can reduce repair costs and operational downtime. Apart from that, IoT also improves security through sensor-based surveillance systems and sophisticated data analytics. However, this research also identified several challenges, such as high initial costs, the need for reliable network infrastructure, and the need for special training for staff to operate this technology. The conclusion of this research explains that the integration of IoT technology in the management of educational facilities and infrastructure shows great potential to increase the efficiency and quality of educational services. Although there are challenges to overcome, the benefits gained from implementing IoT are much more effective. A mature implementation strategy and support from various parties is needed to ensure the success of this integration.

Air cargo transportation, loading, and phase-based maintenance service scheduling in demand channel routes

The article proposes an approach for modeling and solving the air cargo transportation, loading, and phase-based maintenance scheduling problems within demand channels. Demand channel transportation presents unique challenges to meeting the earliest pickup and delivery requirements during emergencies. The complexities in transportation involve issues with airport-aircraft compatibility, fleet selection, task assignments, route construction, and effective loading–unloading procedures. The challenges include coping with flight connections due to airport-aircraft compatibility, dealing with limited refueling and maintenance facilities, and swiftly adapting to unforeseen maintenance events by identifying and utilizing available fleets. In this context, the article delineates a demand channel route planning strategy that considers airport-aircraft compatibility, task integrity, priority, partial refueling strategy, and maintenance schedules spanning short to long-haul phases. Formulated as a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) problem, the solution employs a novel acyclic route construction procedure within a fuel-conscious network. We propose an insertion heuristic with multi-faceted algorithmic interconnections for producing a near-optimal solution suitable for real-world applications. Our insertion procedure has been shown to have very high computational performance, with an average 1.32 percent optimality gap. It can be scaled up to the most critical cargo mission, with up to 190 ports, 95 aircraft, and 380 tasks.

Modelowanie hydrologiczne jako wsparcie dla projektowania i utrzymania infrastruktury

One of the many concerns related to climate change is its impact on infrastructure, for example in the case of structures such as bridges or culverts which are more frequently exposed to conditions like significant differences in water table levels or floods. Varying weather conditions can also cause deterioration of properties of the materials which they are made of, which coupled with higher loads (water, wind or temperature variation, depending on the structure) decreases their durability and hinders their operation. Existing infrastructure facilities were designed with the use of historical data, and those design assumptions can be out of date at the moment, moreover their validity decreases with further climate changes. In order to support the design of new infrastructure facilities and the maintenance of already existing ones, climate change should be taken into account. One of the means that can be used to assess the impact of climate change on bridges and other river infrastructure is hydrological modelling. In this paper, the authors present a hydrological model of the flow in the Ślęza River, a 78.6 km long, left- bank tributary of the Odra River, as well as in its tributaries, with a particular focus on the points where bridges are located. The model was performed with QSWAT software, taking into account two scenarios of climate change: SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 (obtained with the use of NorESM2-LM model) and calibrated with the use of historical meteorological data. The results of the model include daily flows for years 2023-2050, which allows to compare characteristic (statistical) flows and observe trends; also a change in the dynamics of the river caused by thaws can also be observed. A greater number of extreme events can be seen in the results for the SSP2-4.5 scenario, the values of flood flows are also higher for this scenario, whereas the average flows are higher for the SSP5-8.5 scenario, which is due to higher rainfall in this scenario – although the threat of short-term extreme events is lower, but nevertheless, due to increased flows, scouring development can occur in this scenario, which when left uncontrolled can pose great risks to bridges. The obtained results would be helpful for engineers who plan the maintenance of infrastructure facilities, as this analysis would provide additional data in order to choose optimal solutions for the costs of exploitation and for the environment.

Establishing a Geo-Database for Drinking Water and Its Delivery and Storage Components with an Object-Based Approach

Infrastructure facilities that serve the city as a whole and should be considered as a whole should be built in an orderly and planned manner, just as cities are. Infrastructure facilities become obsolete over time. Aging infrastructure facilities may become unserviceable over time. When the need for maintenance and repair arises, it is mandatory to renew or replace infrastructure facilities. In this case, necessary maintenance/repair and renovation works should be completed as soon as possible. These infrastructure facilities may not be transferred to maps in the digital environment and may often be managed with person-oriented information, not institutional. There is a problem for decision makers, namely, that the construction, maintenance, repair and governance of infrastructure facilities cannot be carried out systematically, on time and effectively. The only way to provide such a service is through the combined use of today’s informatics, Geographical Information System (GIS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies, unlike the classical methods of the past. The aim of the study is to effectively manage the scarce resource of drinking water and its facilities, which are an important component of infrastructure facilities, with a method that uses current mapping technologies and informatics facilities. Especially after Infrastructure for Spatial Information (INSPIRE) and the transformation of Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard, Turkish National Geographic Information System (TNGIS) studies and many academic studies carried out in Türkiye have been modelled with Unified Modelling Language (UML) diagrams in accordance with LADM. Similarly, within the scope of this study, UML diagrams were prepared, and then a GIS database was established. Thanks to field workers, chiefs, engineers and others working on water pipelines, all necessary data, classic, as-built and digital, were gathered. These were collected in different ways in order to conduct spatial and non-spatial analysis in the study area of Trabzon. The most important result from the study is that the entire drinking water infrastructure of Trabzon has been transferred to the system in a structure that allows spatial queries, ensuring that damage detection on water components, maintenance and repair processes are carried out in the shortest time and at the lowest cost. The investigation and application of a sensor-integrated GIS-aided system, making it possible to control and monitor the use of lost and illegal water to be controlled as well as inform consumers who will be affected by possible maintenance and repair, is recommended.

Badminton courses offered in colleges and universities are competed by college students has become the norm, and the teaching of badminton program has also become one of the most popular programs in sports teaching in colleges and universities. However, there are some problems in the teaching of badminton in colleges and universities. This paper utilizes the mixed research method, has taken 251 students and 5 teachers in 5 colleges and universities in Xinjiang as an example, and carried out a study on the survey respondents. The study found that the facilities of badminton courts meet the requirements, the equipment basically meets the needs, and the teaching quality is good. However, there were problems with teaching venues and facilities, such as lack of technical foundation and insufficient student interest. Solutions include increasing the number of courts, maintaining facilities regularly, providing individualized instruction, adding interesting and challenging teaching content, and creating a positive learning atmosphere. These findings suggest that colleges and universities should focus on facility maintenance and individualized instruction to stimulate student interest and motivation.

ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM MANAJEMEN KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA (SMK3) DI RSUD dr. M. THOMSEN NIAS KABUPATEN NIAS TAHUN 2023

Hospital is a workplace that has a high risk for the safety and health of hospital human resources, patients, patient companions, visitors, and the hospital environment. Realizing an effective, efficient, integrated and sustainable implementation of Hospital Occupational Health and Safety (HOHS) requires the implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in the hospital. This research aims to analyze the implementation of OHSMS in RSUD dr. M. Thomsen Nias. This research uses mixed methods with the explanatory sequential design that combines quantitative and qualitative research methods in sequence. The informants in this study amounted to 5 people. Quantitative data was collected by survey using a checklist form from annex 2 of Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012 as evidenced by document review and on-site observation. Qualitative data was collected by interview using guidelines from the quantitative data results. Based on the results of the study, the level of achievement of OHSMS implementation was obtained with an initial category audit of 56.25%, which is included in the category of less implementation. Of the 64 total criteria, there are 36 criteria that are appropriate and 28 criteria that are inappropriate. Commitment in the form of a written policy has not been made, but a decree has been issued to establish an OSH organization and committee. OHS planning has been made in the form of a work program. The implementation of the OHS plan has not been fully implemented by the OHS committee, but the hospital's efforts in implementing OHS are carried out by several related units such as the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Committee, the Hospital Facilities Maintenance Installation (HFMI) and the Environmental Installation. The implementation of OHSMS at RSUD dr. M. Thomsen Nias starting from the policy setting stage to evaluation has not been fully implemented properly according to Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012.

Agritourism Development through Leveraging Financial Support within the 4As Framework

Abstract Financing is a crucial issue in agritourism development. Financial considerations play a significant role in the successful implementation and long-term sustainability of agritourism ventures. This research focuses on understanding the financial challenges that arise within each component of the 4As framework. The research methodology used is a literature study. This study emphasizes the financial challenges that emerge within each component of the 4As framework. Key financial factors for sustainable agritourism includes infrastructure investment, eco-friendly planning, cost management, effective marketing, training, and environmental preservation. Developing and managing attractions requires financial investment in creating and promoting unique experiences while ensuring cultural sustainability and integrity. Access involves infrastructure development and maintenance, transportation costs, and the need to reach remote rural areas. Providing adequate amenities requires financial resources for facility development, maintenance, and visitor service management. Ancillary services pose financial barriers in terms of initial investment, operational costs, and balancing authenticity with visitor expectations. Innovative financial approaches and support mechanisms are needed to foster agritourim development. These include accessing funding opportunities, exploring public-private partnerships, leveraging community-based tourism models, and volunteer tourism. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the importance of financial support programs through government grants and subsidies, incubators and accelerators programs, and tourism development funds.
