Fabrication of Organic/Inorganic Core/Shell Nanocomposites with Controlled Crystallite size

In the present work, different metal oxide and metal chalcogenide are used as the core materials with the controlled grain size which coated by the polymer. Metal nanoparticles used as various types of catalysts, adsorbents, and sensors. They have applications in optical, electronic and magnetic devices. Most of these applications vitally depend on the size of the nanoparticles. Therefore the synthesis of controlled crystallite size nanoparticles important for above mentioned applications. Here, lead sulfide (PbS), tin oxide (SnO2), and Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) core materials coated by the polypyrrole (PPy). To form the core and the shell set the diameter fixed and measured theoretically. Weight is proportional to the product of volume and density. The theory behind this is to calculate the amount of precursor. The calculated amount is used to prepare the core as well as the shell which is formed by simple wet chemical method and addition polymerization. The XRD studies are used to determine the crystallite size of the core/shell nanocomposites. Thus the desired crystallite size is successfully obtained. Exchange-coupling-induced fourfold magnetic anisotropy in CoFeB/FeRh bilayer grown on SrTiO3(001)

Exchange coupling across the interface between a ferromagnetic (FM) layer and an antiferromagnetic (AFM) or another FM layer may induce a unidirectional magnetic anisotropy and/or a uniaxial magnetic anisotropy, which has been extensively studied due to the important application in magnetic materials and devices. In this work, we observed a fourfold magnetic anisotropy in amorphous CoFeB layer when exchange coupling to an adjacent FeRh layer which is epitaxially grown on an SrTiO3(001) substrate. As the temperature rises from 300 K to 400 K, FeRh film undergoes a phase transition from AFM to FM phase, the induced fourfold magnetic anisotropy in the CoFeB layer switches the orientation from the FeRh〈 110〉 to FeRh〈 100 〉 directions and the strength is obviously reduced. In addition, the effective magnetic damping as well as the two-magnon scattering of the CoFeB/FeRh bilayer also remarkably increase with the occurrence of magnetic phase transition of FeRh. No exchange bias is observed in the bilayer even when FeRh is in the nominal AFM state, which is probably because the residual FM FeRh moments located at the interface can well separate the exchange coupling between the below pinned FeRh moments and the CoFeB moments.

Strontium Ferromolybdate-Based Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

Thin-film strontium ferromolybdate is a promising material for applications in room-temperature magnetic tunnel junction devices. These are spin-based, low-power-consuming alternatives to CMOS in non-volatile memories, comparators, analog-to-digital converters, and magnetic sensors. In this work, we consider the main tasks to be solved when creating such devices based on strontium ferromolybdate: (i) selecting an appropriate tunnel barrier material, (ii) determining the role of the interface roughness and its quantification, (iii) determining the influence of the interface dead layer, (iv) establishing appropriate models of the tunnel magnetoresistance, and (v) promoting the low-field magnetoresistance in (111)-oriented thin films. We demonstrate that (i) barrier materials with a lower effective electronegativity than strontium ferromolybdate are beneficial, (ii) diminution of the magnetic offset field (the latter caused by magnetic coupling) requires a wavy surface rather than solely a surface with small roughness, (iii) the interface dead-layer thickness is of the order of 10 nm, (iv) the tunnel magnetoresistance deteriorates due to spin-independent tunneling and magnetically disordered interface layers, and (v) antiphase boundaries along the growth direction promote the negative low-field magnetoresistance by reducing charge carrier scattering in the absence of the field.

Experimental observation of transition from type I to type II ultrafast demagnetization dynamics in chemically disordered Fe60Al40 thin film, driven by laser fluence

Understanding of the laser-induced ultrafast demagnetization dynamics is one of the most challenging and hot topics in magnetism research due to its potential applications in magnetic storage devices and the field of spintronics. Recently, a laser-induced switching of ferromagnetism, driven by a disorder–order transition on FeAl thin films, has been experimentally demonstrated. The switching of ferromagnetic ordering by ultrafast laser pulses in FeAl thin films may open new possible applications of this material such as magnetic data storage and manipulation. Since the speed of the magnetic switching of magnetic states in thin films is one of the critical parameters for these applications, here we used time resolved magneto-optical Kerr measurements to investigate the demagnetization dynamics of Fe60Al40 thin films at room temperature. We have for the first time observed a clear transition from one-step dynamics (type I) to two-step (type II) dynamics in the same material by increasing pump laser fluence. This experimental observation may give a strong confirmation that the ultrafast demagnetization process can be treated as a thermal process and is driven by the difference between temperatures of the electron and spin systems.

Observation of magnetic domain patterns with tilted uniaxial anisotropy using a single-spin magnetometer

Ferromagnets with uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy have been a significant platform to explore applications in magnetic devices. Although it is commonly recognized that the magnetic anisotropy is crucial for the formation of noncollinear domain patterns, the effects of the anisotropy direction are usually neglected in recent studies. Here, we imaged stray fields generated by a polycrystalline MnNiGa sample with a nitrogen-vacancy color center in diamond and found that various stripe domains and magnetic bubbles exist in different regions. These domain patterns could be explained by the difference in anisotropy directions among crystallites via micromagnetic simulation. It can be inferred that the magnetic anisotropy direction plays a key role in energetically favorable domain structures based on our results. The magnetic anisotropy direction may be exploited as an ingredient to modulate domains and develop devices.

Microstructure and Magnetic Anisotropy of SmCo‐Based Films Prepared via External Magnetic Field Assisted Magnetron Sputtering

SmCo‐based thin films have excellent permanent magnetic properties for application in magnetic functional devices. The conventional methods to control the magnetic anisotropy are inserting the suitable buffer layer or applying magnetic field heat treatment. However, the selection of the buffer layer and the thickness of the SmCo layer are limited. Additionally, the magnetic field heat treatment is detrimental to suppressing the grain growth. Herein, the SmCo‐based thin films by magnetic field assisted magnetron sputtering followed by a rapid thermal annealing (RTA) is prepared. The characteristic diffraction peak of SmCo5 (200) with in‐plane orientation disappears, indicating that the in‐plane magnetic anisotropy could be further decreased. Meanwhile, the out‐of‐plane coercivity highly increases when applying an external magnetic field, which is contributed partly by the refined SmCo grains under the external magnetic field due to the reduction of critical free energy of Sm–Co cluster nucleation. Furthermore, micromagnetic simulations indicates that the out‐of‐plane magnetic moments of Sm2Co17 phase are more difficult to reverse because the ratio of in‐plane and out‐of‐plane oriented moments changed from 1:1 to 1:1.4, and proves that the proportion of magnetic moment direction is significant to control magnetic anisotropy and coercivity which is consistent with the experiment results.

Synthesis, morphological, structural, and magnetic studies of Gd1-xPrxCrO3 nanoparticles

A series of nanocrystalline compounds, Gd1-xPrxCrO3 (where 0 ≤ x ≤ 1 and Gd: Gadolinium, Pr: Praseodymium, Cr: Chromium and O: oxygen), was synthesized by the auto-combustion route followed by annealing at 700 °C. XRD revealed that all samples in the series are perovskites with a distorted orthorhombic structure and crystallized into the Pbnm space group. The average particle size for the samples annealed at 700 °C for 4 h was in the range of (50–91) nm. There was an agreement between Rietveld fitting results and the TEM results for the average particle size. It is noted that with the rise in the Pr concentration due to the reduction of Gd concentration in the compounds, the magnetization for field cooling/zero-field cooling (FC/ZFC) modes decreases. The compounds in the series exhibit the magnetization reversal (MR) phenomenon at ZFC mode. In contrast, the parent compound displays negative magnetization behavior at FC mode with a minimum magnetization value at 14 K. The Néel transition temperature (TN) is found to increase linearly with increasing Pr concentration as well. Moreover, as the Pr concentration in the Gd1-xPrxCrO3 series increases, the compensation temperature (Tcomp2) increases while the spin flipping temperature (TSF) decreases. All samples under investigation showed magnetic switching, which makes them useful for magnetic switching applications. At different temperatures, the magnetization as a function of a magnetic field was measured. Weak ferromagnetism was observed just below (TN), and notable magnetic features at lower temperatures. Above (TN), the compounds are paramagnetic. The exchange bias (EB) phenomenon was studied for all the samples in the series without applying a cooling, magnetic field (ZFC-EB) and under different cooling, magnetic fields (FC-EB) at (1 T, 2 T, and 3 T). From the measurements of ZFC-EB, it is found that HEB increases by 600% with increasing the dopant concentration from x = 0 to x = 1 with a further increase by 200% with field cooling as small as 1 T. That means the compounds can be used in the applications of EB-based magnetic devices. It is observed that HEB, Mmax, and Hc of the compounds depend on the temperature at different applied cooling fields.

2D high temperature ferromagnetic Co2Ti2Sn2 monolayer with tunable magnetic anisotropy and superior mechanical flexibility: A first-principles and Monte Carlo study

A novel type of two-dimensional (2D) alloy Co2Ti2Sn2 with intrinsic ferromagnetism have been predicted using first-principles calculations. The results show that Co2Ti2Sn2 monolayer exhibits a considerably large magnetic anisotropic energy (MAE) of 533 μeV per Co2Ti2Sn2 formula and the MAE can be tuned by carrier doping. For the electron doping, the MAE increases monotonically and significantly enhances ~60% up to 866 μeV, while for the hole doping, MAE decreases from positive to negative at the critical point of - 4 × 1014 cm−2, corresponding to the change of easy magnetization direction from out-of-plane to in-plane. In addition, Monte Carlo simulations based on classical Heisenberg model estimate a high Curie temperature of approximate 463 K. Besides, we show that the Co2Ti2Sn2 monolayer possesses good mechanical flexibility and can withstand a strain ranging from −32% to 22% and −15%–10% under uniaxial and biaxial direction, respectively. With the uniaxial stretching strain up to 12.4%, a magnetic phase transition will occur, during which the magnetic moment jumps to zero accompanied by energy jumping. Similar phenomenon is also observed at −6.5% and −8.8% under biaxial and uniaxial compression, respectively. These explored controllable magnetic properties, electronic properties, superior mechanical flexibility and the high Curie temperature render the 2D Co2Ti2Sn2 monolayer a promising candidate for applications in magnetic logic device and nanospintronic applications.

Morphology induced large magnetic anisotropy in obliquely grown nanostructured thin film on nanopatterned substrate

The artificial tailoring of magnetic anisotropy by manipulating surface and interface morphology is attracting widespread interest for its application in spintronic and magnetic memory devices. Here oblique angle deposition on a nanopatterned rippled substrate is presented as a novel route of inducing large in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy (UMA) in magnetic thin films. For this purpose, Cobalt films and rippled SiO2 substrates have been taken as a model system for the present study. Here, nanopatterned substrates are prepared by low energy ion beam erosion (IBE), above which films are deposited obliquely along and normal to the ripple directions. A clear anisotropy in the growth behavior has been observed due to the inhomogeneous in-plane organization of adatoms in the form of columns. The increased shadowing effect in the films deposited obliquely normal to the direction of the ripple patterns causes preferential coalescence of the columns along the substrate ripples, resulting in stronger in-plane UMA in the film. This peculiarity in magnetic behavior is addressed by considering the morphological anisotropy governed by enhanced shadowing effect, the shape anisotropy and the dipolar interactions among the magnetostatically coupled ripple structure.

Magnetism in Dentistry: Review and Future Perspectives

Tissue engineering or tissue reconstruction/repair/regeneration may be considered as a guiding strategy in oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as in endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and daily clinical practice. A wide range of techniques has been developed over the past years, from tissue grafts to the more recent and innovative regenerative procedures. Continuous research in the field of natural and artificial materials and biomaterials, as well as in advanced scaffold design strategies has been carried out. The focus has also been on various growth factors involved in dental tissue repair or reconstruction. Benefiting from the recent literature, this review paper illustrates current innovative strategies and technological approaches in oral and maxillofacial tissue engineering, trying to offer some information regarding the available scientific data and practical applications. After introducing tissue engineering aspects, an overview on additive manufacturing technologies will be provided, with a focus on the applications of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles in the biomedical field. The potential applications of magnetic fields and magnetic devices on the acceleration of orthodontic tooth movement will be analysed.

Controllable Domain Walls in Two-Dimensional Ferromagnetic Material Fe3GeTe2 Based on the Spin-Transfer Torque Effect.

Recently, two-dimensional magnetic material has attracted attention worldwide due to its potential application in magnetic memory devices. The previous concept of domain walls driven by current pulses is a disordered motion. Further investigation of the mechanism is urgently lacking. Here, Fe3GeTe2, a typical high-Curie temperature (TC) two-dimensional magnetic material, is chosen to explore the magnetic domain dynamics by in situ Lorentz transmission electron microscopy experiments. It has been found that the stripe domain could be driven, compressed, and expanded by the pulses with a critical current density. Revealed by micromagnetic simulations, all the domain walls cannot move synchronously due to the competition between demagnetization energy and spin-transfer torque effect. In consideration of the reflection of high-frequency pulses, the disordered motion could be well explained together. The multiple stable states of the magnetic structure due to the weak exchange interaction in a two-dimensional magnet provides complex dynamic processes. Based on plenty of experiments, a cluster of domain walls could be more steady and move more synchronously under the drive of pulse current. The complication of domain wall motions presents a challenge in race track memory devices and two-dimensional magnetic material will be a better choice for application research.

Enhancement of magnetocaloric effect in all-d-metal Heusler Mn52.6Ni30.5Co7.8Ti9.1/PVA/PET flexible composite by mechanical strains

The prominent enhancement of magnetocaloric effect (MCE) and the extension of effective magnetic refrigeration temperature region near room temperature (RT) are urgent needs for efficient and clean refrigeration technologies. Here, we report that a flexible composite is made up of all-d-metal Heusler ferromagnetic shape memory alloys (FSMAs) Mn52.6Ni30.5Co7.8Ti9.1 (Mn-Ni-Co-Ti) ribbon and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) coating, exhibiting a tunable martensitic transformation (MT) by applying mechanical strains and accompanying a remarkably enhanced MCE near RT. The MT temperature of the Mn-Ni-Co-Ti/PVA/PET flexible composite obviously shifts, leading to the bidirectional control of the magnetization difference (ΔM) with the increase of tensile/compressive strains. Especially, the magnetic entropy change (ΔSM) and refrigeration capacity (RC) are remarkably improved under the tensile strain (ε = 6.0%) state. As a result, the MCE can be controlled and the effective magnetic refrigeration temperature region can be expanded by adjusting the mechanical strains in the Mn-Ni-Co-Ti/PVA/PET flexible composite, which is beneficial to improve the refrigerating efficiency in promising applications of magnetic devices.

Investigation of the Effect of 3d TM-TM Atom Co-Doped in Graphene Nanosheet: DFT Based Calculations

Graphene, an interesting 2D system has a rare electronic structure of two inverted Dirac cones touching at a single point, with great electron mobility and promising microelectronics applications. In the present article, a theoretical investigation has been performed on the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of pristine graphene nanosheet and also the effect of 3d transition metal (TM) co-doped in graphene nanosheet within the density functional theory framework. 3d TM is categorized into two groups: Cr- group (Cr-Cr, Cr-Mn, and Cr-Fe) and Ni-group (Ni-Cr, Ni-Ti, Ni-Mn). After co-doping TM atoms on graphene, it still holds its planar shape which refers to the stability of these co-doped graphene nanosheets. This is also confirmed by the increasing bond length of carbon and TM atoms on graphene nanosheets. Highest zero-point energies have been found of -12049.24eV and -10936.87eV respectively for Cr-Cr and Ni-Cr co-doped graphene nanosheet. According to Mulliken's charge and electron density differences, all the TM atoms can act as electron donors while the graphene nanosheet is electron acceptor. All the TMs co-doped graphene nanosheet show metallic behavior in terms of band structures and DOS plots except Ti-Ni which has shown a little band gap. In terms of electronic properties, Cr-Cr and Ni-Cr co-doped graphene nanosheets are found most stable among the other studied systems and they can exhibit magnetic behavior as there is a variation in their up and down spin as shown in spin polarized DOS. That’s why they are beneficial to the application of various magnetic devices as well as sectors. Besides Cr-group co-doped graphene nanosheet can exhibit better magnetic properties than Ni-group.

RIXS, XES and XAS studies for electronic structure of rare earth and alkaline earth modified manganite

This article reports on the RIXS (Resonant inelastic X-ray scattering), XES (X-ray emission spectroscopy), and XAS (X-ray absorption spectroscopy) of the LaSr2Mn2O7, La0.95Ba0.05MnO3, and La1.2(BaCa)1.8Mn2O7 at 40 K, 100 K and 300 K. The RIXS spectra of these samples show the presence of Mn in different valence states (Mn2+, Mn3+, and Mn4+) which is associated with the Jahn-Teller distortion due to overlapping between O2− and the unpaired electrons of transition metal Mn. It has also been noticed that the distortion observed in different valence states of Mn with O2− is found to be suppressed with dropping and the temperature. So, based on aforementioned studies, the Manganites have been considered as a strongly correlated magnetic system which would be useful in magnetic device applications.

One-Dimensional van der Waals Heterostructures: A Perspective.

As a new frontier in low-dimensional material research, van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures, represented by 2D heterostructures, have attracted tremendous attention due to their unique properties and potential applications. The emerging 1D heterostructures open new possibilities for the field with expectant unconventional properties and yet more challenging preparation pathways. This Perspective aims to give an overall understanding of the state-of-the-art growth strategies and fantastic properties of the 1D heterostructures and provide an outlook for further development based on the controlled preparation, which will bring up a variety of applications in high-performance electronic, optoelectronic, magnetic, and energy storage devices. A quick rise of the fundamentals and application study of 1D heterostructures is anticipated.

Post-Synthetic Modification of Metal-Organic Frameworks Bearing Phenazine Radical Cations for aza-Diels-Alder Reactions.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) consisting of organic radicals are of great interest because they have exhibited unique and intriguing optical, electronic, magnetic, and chemo-catalytic properties, and thus have demonstrated great potential applications in optical, electronic, and magnetic devices, and as catalysts. However, the preparation of MOFs bearing stable organic radicals is very challenging because most organic radicals are highly reactive and difficult to incorporate into the framework of MOFs. Herein we reported a post-synthetic modification strategy to prepare a novel MOF containing phenazine radical cations, which was used as heterogeneous catalyst for aza-Diels-Alder reaction. The zinc-based metal-organic framework Zn2 (PHZ)2 (dabco) (N) was successfully synthesized from 5,10-di(4-benzoic acid)-5,10-dihydrophenazine (PHZ), triethylene diamine (dabco) with Zn(NO3 )2 ⋅ 6H2 O by solvothermal method. The as-synthesized MOF N was partially oxidized by AgSbF6 to form MOF R containing ∼10% phenazine radical cation species. The resultant MOF R was found to keep the original crystal type of N and very persistent under ambient conditions. Consequently, MOF R was successfully employed in radical cation-catalyzed aza-Diels-Alder reactions with various imine substrates at room temperature with high reaction conversion. Moreover, heterogeneous catalyst MOF R was reusable up to five times without much loss of catalytic activity, demonstrating its excellent stability and recyclability. Therefore, the post-synthetic modification developed in this work is expected to become a versatile strategy to prepare radical-based MOFs for the application of heterogeneous catalysts in organic synthesis.

First-principles and Monte Carlo investigation of magnetic properties of two-dimensional transition metal alloyed boron-carbide [formula omitted] sheet

We identify a new two-dimensional (2D) tetragonal phase of transition metal alloyed boron-carbide (t-CrFeBC) sheet through combined first-principles calculations and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations. The t-CrFeBC sheet prefers a ferromagnetic ground state with the metallic electronic property. Also, the t-CrFeBC sheet is dynamically and thermally stable. t-CrFeBC exhibits sizable magnetic anisotropy energy (MAE) of 120 μeV per CrFe alloy with an in-plane easy axis (EA) magnetization direction. Moreover, hysteresis loops and other hysteresis related properties (coercivity and remanent magnetization) which are evidence of existence of ferromagnetism in the t-CrFeBC sheet are presented for a wide range of temperature. MC simulation results indicate that t-CrFeBC sheet is soft magnetic material with a small coercieve field and narrow rectangular shaped hysteresis curve near the room temperature. All results show that 2D t-CrFeBC sheet holds a unique promise for advanced magnetic device applications.

First principal calculations of electronic, optical and magnetic properties of cubic K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni)

The First principle study based on Density Function Theory (DFT) was accomplished to explore the electronic bandgap configurations of KNbO3 by transition metal doping such as Iron [Fe], and Nickel [Ni] using PBE-GGA (Perdew–Burke–Ernzerhof- Generalized Gradient Approximation) for the exchange-correlation potentials. In the current study K1−xYxNbO3 doped with various percentages (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%) of [Ni] and [Fe] metal ions. Different unique properties such as electronic, optical conductivity, and magnetic properties of cubic K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compounds have been calculated through the FP-LAW WEIN2k software within DFT. The bandgap of KNbO3 can be reduced by doping various metal ions such as [Ni] and [Fe]. The spin up band structures was observed semiconductor but spin down metallic behaviour. The bandgap structure of overall K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compound after doping [Fe] and [Ni] with various concentrations become half metallic compound. Under the DFT scheme, iron [Fe] and nickel [Ni] are reliable as dopants for reducing the bandgap of KNbO3. After substituting various impurity concentration (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%) of [Fe] and [Ni] the energy absorption peaks are 8.2 to 8.43eV for K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni). It is also observed that optical conductivity starting points shift towards the large energy because of bandgap enhancement when the doping concentration (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%) of [Fe] and [Ni] increased in K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compound. Magnetic moment was increasing 1.00153 to 3.02210 μB by the increment of doping [Fe] and [Ni] concentrations. K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compounds are appropriate perovskite oxides materials for promising optical, magnetic and photovoltaic device applications.

Tungsten Ditelluride: Synthesis, Structure, and Magnetoresistance Property

AbstractTungsten ditelluride (WTe2) is arising as an attractive material in magnetoresistance (MR) properties filed. The magnetoresistance properties of WTe2 makes it an ideal material for its magnetoresistive heads of computer and magnetic sensor device applications. So far, people have developed various controlled synthesis methods to produce large‐quantity uniform flat WTe2 crystals. Nevertheless, none of the methods are sustainable, some methods use reducing gases, and some use very long heat preservation, and the process is very complicated. Here, a mild and fast self‐flux method is described for WTe2 synthesis that can avoid producing reducing gases. After conducting structural and physical tests, it is found that annealing time is critical for WTe2 structure formation. Long annealing time improves the crystallinity of WTe2 and makes its texture more obvious, increasing the conductivity of WTe2. Therefore, it will lead to the anomalous nonsaturating positive magnetoresistance with different field dependent behaviors, reaching the ultrastrong magnetoresistive value of 1040% at 5 K and 14 T. The results provide a sustainable approach for uniform WTe2 crystal synthesis, which will benefit the large‐quantity production of WTe2 magnetoresistive materials.

First-principles investigation on electronic structure, magnetic states and optical properties of Mn-doped SnS2 monolayer via strain engineering

Two-dimensional magnetic materials are high desirable for realizing advanced optoelectronic and spintronic devices. In this paper, we report systematic studies the effects of strain on the electronic structure, magnetic states and optical properties of Mn-doped SnS2 monolayer (ML) by means of first-principles calculations. Ab-initio molecular dynamics simulations and formation energy reveal that the Mn-doped SnS2 ML is stable at 500 K and can be fabricated under the S-rich condition. The substitution of a Mn for a Sn atom induces 3 μB magnetic moment in nonmagnetic SnS2 ML, which is consistent with the Hund's rule and Aufbau principle. Based on classical Heisenberg model and mean-field approximation the Curie temperature is calculated to be 476.13 K. Due to symmetry reserved crystal structure, the net magnetic moment of Mn-doped SnS2 ML is robust even if considerable strains (−10 to 10%) are applied. The blue-shift and red-shift of the absorption peaks are observed in the optical spectrum by biaxial compressive and tensile strains. The biaxial strain effectively improves the optical properties of Mn-doped SnS2 ML, particularly in the visible light region. This study provide useful guidance for practical application in magnetic and optoelectronic devices.
