The current research is concerned with the study of Lamb waves propagating in a traction-free Ge plate with its basal (0,0,1) plane coinciding with the median plane of the plate. The analysis reveals (i) additional dispersion modes stepping down below the lowest cutoff frequency and resembling the (quasi) symmetric fundamental mode; (ii) the additional low-frequency limits; and (iii) multiple crossing points at the intersections of the transonic Rayleigh branch with the higher Lamb modes. The observed phenomena indicate a substantial difference in dispersion properties of Lamb waves in Ge plates compared to those of isotropic plates, namely additional low-frequency limits, multiple crossing points, and the additional fundamental branch.
