The baryon loop tension from continuum QCD

The energy of three static widely separated quarks in a colour singlet state is computed by studying the large area behaviour of different baryon loops in continuum QCD. With the help of a sum rule like approach the corresponding string tensions are obtained in terms of the vacuum condensates. They can be interpreted as due to effective quark-quark forces of half the strength of the quark-antiquark forces, at least.

Uniqueness of the QCD corrections to the Drell-Yan and Deep Inelastic Scattering processes

We present a complete calculation of one loop QCD corrections to the Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) and Drell-Yan (DY) processes under various infrared and collinear singularity regularization schemes. We use our final results which have surprisingly simple forms in an analysis of the scheme dependence problem for these singularities. We also comment on some of the other proposals made recently for the resolution of the same problem.

The β-function for effective quark masses to two loops in QCD

We calculate the evolution equation for effective masses in QCD to two loops in the minimal subtraction scheme of 't Hooft. We compare our result with two other recent calculations and make some comments on the gauge independence and regularization dependence of the β-functions.
