Iasi theatrical destinies

The keeping of Iași theatrical personalities in the collective memory is a moral duty of researchers in the field. Accepting this principle, the project Iași Theatrical Destinies, carried out within the faculty of theater at George Enescu National University of Arts from Iași and financed by the City Hall of Iași, constitutes another concrete step in shaping the profile of outstanding artists, critics and pedagogues, who marked not only the local cultural history, but also the national and international ones. The connection to contemporary realities opens up new opportunities for presenting information. Thus, the Project will result in the creation of a “virtual museum” through which the stories of those, who were born or created in Iasi, and also served the theatrical art, will become accessible without time and space limits. The challenge comes from finding bridges that connect the information (scientifically substantiated - according to all the rigors of documentation) to the interest of the general public. The presentation of Margareta Niculescu’s contribution to the defining of the European animation theater in the second half of the 20th century is an example.

Aspirin reduces lung inflammatory response in acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome: a Meta-analysis based on animal experiments

To systematically evaluate the impact of aspirin on the pulmonary inflammatory response in animal models of acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome (ALI/ARDS). Experimental research on aspirin therapy or prevention of ALI/ARDS in animal models were searched in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane library, Embase, China biology medicine, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP. The search time limit was from the establishment of the database to July 17, 2023. The control group established the ALI/ARDS model without any pharmacological intervention. The intervention group was given aspirin or aspirin-derived compounds or polymeric-aspirin (Poly-A) at different time points before and after the preparation of the model, of which there was no restriction on the dosage form, dosage, mode of administration, or number of doses. The primary outcome indicators included bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) or lung tissue myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity, interleukin-1β (IL-1β), tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and the counts of neutrophils in BALF. Two researchers screened the literature and extracted information based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Literature quality was assessed by the bias risk assessment tool SYRCLE. RevMan 5.3 software was used for data synthesis and statistical analysis. A total of 17 papers were eventually included, involving a total of 449 animal models, all of which were murine. One paper was at high risk of bias and the rest 16 papers were at moderate risk of bias. Meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, the neutrophil count in BALF [standardized mean difference (SMD) = -5.06, 95% confidence interval (95%CI) was -7.00 to -3.12, P < 0.000 01], the myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity in BALF or lung tissue (SMD = -3.45, 95%CI was -4.43 to -2.47, P < 0.000 01), the TNF-α level in BALF or lung tissue (SMD = -2.78, 95%CI was -3.58 to -1.98, P < 0.000 01), and the IL-1β level in BALF or lung tissue (SMD = -3.12, 95%CI was -4.56 to -1.69, P < 0.000 1) were significantly decreased in the ALI/ARDS model of the intervention group. Aspirin reduces the level of lung inflammation in animal models of ALI/ARDS. However, there are problems of poor quality and significant heterogeneity of the included studies, which still need our further validation.

The article discusses the functioning processes of the process equipment at industrial enterprises, including numerical control machines (CNC), metal cutting machines, press-forging and bending equipment, welding and laser equipment, molding and casting equipment, etc. The problem of determining guaranteed estimates of the distribution function of process equipment’s residual life is formulated as a problem of finding guaranteed (lower and upper) estimates of the probabilistic functionality on the multitude of distribution functions with preset timings equal to the distribution timings determined based on the initial small sample size of trouble-free operation timings of process equipment. An approach to finding guaranteed estimates of the residual life distribution function in conditions of incomplete data on the process equipment operation time before a failure based on the results of the solution for Markov’s timing problem has been proposed. Guaranteed estimates of residual life distribution functions are based on a multitude of discrete distribution functions that meet the timing limitations. Examples of finding guaranteed estimates of process equipment residual life distribution function are provided.

Data Collection and Trading Strategy Analysis of Stackelberg-Based Vehicle Crowd-Sensing Platform

&lt;p&gt;A data collection and trading strategy based on a three-layer Stackelberg is proposed to address the defects of the data collection and trading strategy of the existing Telematics group wise sensing platform. First, the data trading strategy is designed for the Telematics group intelligence sensing platform, and the platform determines the optimal trading price according to the data volume and time limit demand of each data user; then the data collection strategy is designed for the platform, and the platform incentivizes the sensing vehicles to collect the required data volume within the limit time according to the movement trajectory, sensing and transmission cost of each sensing vehicle, and the strategy minimizes the data collection energy consumption and cost of the system. The strategy minimizes the data collection energy consumption of the system and designs the optimal data trading strategy based on game theory to maximize the economic benefits of the system. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed strategy makes the telematics group wise sensing platform obtain the best economic utility in data collection and trading and satisfies the data demand of data users and the reward demand of sensing vehicles at the same time.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

Thailand as World LGBTQ Wedding Destination

Gradually, Thailand has emerged as a promising land of honeymoon destination for LGBTQ wedding tourism, offering a diverse range of picturesque venues favorable for same-sex couples. This research paper discusses the multifaceted appeal of Thailand by mentioning the beautiful landscapes, culturally inclusive environment, and the growing acceptance of LGBTQ rights. The paper discusses the legal environment of Thai marriage, considering the difficulties facing the LBGTQ couples and the limitations of the present times, including the non-recognition of same-sex marriages under Thai law. On the other hand, it also discusses how weddings from the LGBTQ community have gone up, reflecting changes in societal attitudes and creating Thailand as a haven for couples seeking out acceptance and celebration of their love. It also lists all popular LGBTQ wedding venues-from five-star hotels to dreamy beach resorts-and mentions what really sets them apart: catering services designed with same-sex couples in mind. Cultural elements discussed herein involve an examination of traditional Thai wedding ceremonies and the aspect of inclusivity to understand their contribution to the experiences of LGBTQ weddings. It concludes with a presentation of some effective marketing strategies and promotional activities that might include partnering with LGBTQ influencers down to well-churned advertising campaigns that might position Thailand among the top destinations globally for the performance of LGBTQ marriage ceremonies. Against this backdrop, the present study explores a sensitive area in which Thai operators are showing huge potential to attract LGBTQ grooms and brides, first in the development of wedding tourism and secondly to increase acceptance of sexual orientation diversity across the region.

Evaluation of the efficacy and safety of acupuncture assisted treatment for atrial fibrillation: A systematic review and meta-analysis based on randomized controlled trials.

To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF). Eight databases were searched. The search time limit is from January 2000 to November 2023. All randomized controlled trials on acupuncture treatment of AF were included. After the literature screening, data extraction and quality evaluation were carried out independently according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the included literature was analyzed by Meta using RevMan 5.4 software. A total of 15 research studies on randomized controlled trials were included, involving 1960 patients. The results of the meta-analysis showed that acupuncture therapy could increase the sinus cardioversion rate of patients with AF, and the difference was statistically significant (relative risk = 1.21, 25% confidence interval (CI) [1.11, 1.31], P < .001). The clinically effective rate of the acupuncture plus drug treatment group was higher than that of the drug treatment group (relative risk = 1.32, 95% CI [1.19, 1.46], P < .01). Acupuncture plus other conventional therapies treatment was more helpful in reducing the ventricular rate of patients with AF (mean difference = -7.89, 95% CI [-14.52, -1.26], P = .006). The cardioversion time of patients with AF treated with acupuncture plus conventional therapies was shorter than those treated with traditional therapies alone (standardized mean difference = -1.82, 95% CI [-3.28, -0.35], P = .01). No severe adverse reactions such as hemorrhage, hematoma, or local infection caused by acupuncture were reported in the study. The available evidence shows that acupuncture can effectively improve the total clinical effective rate and sinus rhythm recovery rate, shorten the recovery time of sinus rhythm, and reduce the ventricular rate, and there are no apparent adverse reactions. However, a limited number of studies may affect the generalizability of the findings. Future studies should include more extensive and diverse studies to enhance the power and generalizability of the findings.

Time pressure in diagnosing written clinical cases: an experimental study on time constraints and perceived time pressure.

Time pressure and time constraints have been shown to affect diagnostic accuracy, but how they interact is not clear. The current study aims to investigate the effects of both perceived time pressure (sufficient vs. insufficient time) and actual time constraints (lenient vs. restricted time limit) with regard to diagnostic accuracy. Residents from two university-affiliated trainingprograms in the USA participated in this online within-subjects experiment. They diagnosed cases under two perceived time pressure conditions: one where they were told they had sufficient time to diagnose the cases and one where they were told they had insufficient time. The actual time limit was either restricted or lenient (± one standard deviation from the mean time to diagnose). Participants provided their most likely diagnosis and a differential diagnosis for each case, and rated their confidence in their most likely diagnosis. A restricted time limit was associated with lower accuracy scores (p=0.044) but no effects of perceived time pressure on diagnostic accuracy were found. However, participants self-reported feeling more time pressure when they thought they had insufficient time (p<0.001). In addition, there was an effect of the actual time limit (p=0.012) andperceived time pressure (p=0.048) on confidence. This study showed that a restricted time limit can negatively affect diagnostic accuracy. Although participants felt more time pressure and were less confident when they thought they had insufficient time, perceived time pressure did not affect diagnostic accuracy. More research is needed to further investigate the effects of time pressure and time limits on diagnostic accuracy.

Using Process Data to Evaluate the Impact of Shortening Allotted Case Time in a Simulation‐Based Assessment

AbstractThe Computer‐based Case Simulations (CCS) component of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3 was developed to assess the decision‐making and patient‐management skills of physicians. Process data can provide deep insights into examinees’ behavioral processes related to completing the CCS assessment task. In this paper, we utilized process data to evaluate the impact of shortening allotted time limit by rescoring the CCS cases based on process data extracted at various timestamps that represented different percentages of the original allotted case time. It was found that examinees’ performance as well as the correlation between original and newly generated scores both tended to decrease as the timestamp condition became stricter. The impact of shortening allotted time limit was found marginally associated with case difficulties, but strongly dependent on the case time intensity under the original time setting.

Exact results on the dynamics of the stochastic Floquet-East model*

Abstract We introduce a stochastic generalisation of the classical deterministic Floquet-East model, a discrete circuit with the same kinetic constraint as the East model of glasses. We prove exactly that, in the limit of long time and large size, this model has a large deviation phase transition between active and inactive dynamical phases. We also compute the finite time and size scaling of general space-time fluctuations, which for the case of inactive regions gives rise to dynamical hydrophobicity. We also discuss how, through the Trotter limit, these exact results also hold for the continuous-time East model, thus proving long-standing observations in kinetically constrained models. Our results here illustrate the applicability of exact tensor network methods for solving problems in many-body stochastic systems.

Summary Renewal in civil litigation Is a legal procedure that has two types within the framework of procedural laws, particularly the civil procedure laws. The first type allows the parties to resume the civil lawsuit before the court after it had been suspended due to the absence of its parties. The second type permits the plaintiff to refile the lawsuit before the court after it has been annulled or considered as if it never existed, due to the parties’ failure to renew the procedures after the prescribed legal time for review or failure to continue the proceedings after renewing them. In legal systems, the reasons for renewal differ in terms of terminology in Iraqi law compared to comparative legislations, but they do not differ in substance. In Iraqi law, civil lawsuit procedures can be renewed due to the absence of its parties, and this is referred to as "leaving the lawsuit for review." In comparative legislations, this situation is termed as "striking out the lawsuit." As for the reason for renewing the filing of a civil lawsuit, In Iraqi law it is due to its annulment for failure to renew or follow up on the renewal within the legal time limit, whereas comparative legislations use terms like "considering the lawsuit as if it never existed" or "withdrawal of the lawsuit due to annulment" In such cases. Renewal requires certain mechanisms and conditions that allow the parties to activate its role in both of its types within the framework of civil litigation. It is not permissible at all stages of the lawsuit but can only be applied during specific stages according to the law. Its effects vary depending on its type: the first type, which involves renewing the procedures of the civil lawsuit, restores the lawsuit to its original state by reconvening it between the parties, ensuring the principle of confrontation between the litigants. The second type, which involves renewing the filing of the civil lawsuit, results in the lawsuit being reintroduced before the court through a new petition and procedures, thus bearing the same effects as the initiation of a lawsuit. Constitutional and Legal Provisions Related to Reservation Policies for Village Panchayat Elections in Maharashtra

This paper examines the legal framework governing reservation policies in village panchayat elections within Maharashtra. The basis of these policies is enshrined in Article 243D of the Indian Constitution, which mandates that reservations be provided for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) in proportion to their population within the panchayat area. This article also stipulates that at least one-third of all seats, including those reserved for SCs and STs, must be allocated for women. Furthermore, reserved seats must be rotated among different electoral wards to ensure broader participation, and the reservations for SCs and STs are subject to a time limit as specified in Article 334, which is currently set at 80 years. Additionally, state legislatures have the discretion to enact laws providing further reservations for &amp;quot;Other Backward Classes&amp;quot; (OBCs). In alignment with these constitutional principles, Maharashtra&amp;apos;s Village Panchayat Act, 1959, extends the reservation policies by mandating a 27% reservation for OBCs on top of the existing SC/ST reservations. The state law also enhances women&amp;apos;s representation by requiring a 50% reservation for women across all castes, surpassing the constitutional minimum. Candidates contesting reserved seats are required to produce caste validity certificates within six months of the election to avoid disqualification. The 73rd Constitutional Amendment was designed to bolster participation and leadership from marginalized communities in local governance, and the Supreme Court has affirmed the importance of these reservation policies in promoting political empowerment and democratic decentralization. Despite these advancements, several challenges persist. The stringent requirement for obtaining caste validity certificates within a limited timeframe can create barriers for candidates. Additionally, there is a risk of misuse if the reservation system is not properly implemented or monitored, potentially allowing individuals who do not genuinely belong to reserved categories to exploit the provisions.

Nurses' Perceptions of Organisational Attractiveness and Related Factors in Health Care: A Mixed Methods Systematic Review.

To identify and integrate the best evidence on nurses' perceptions of organisational attractiveness and related factors in health care. A mixed methods systematic review. The review followed the Joanna Briggs Institute Mixed Methods Systematic Review methodology and a convergent segregated approach which involved separate qualitative and quantitative syntheses followed by integration in a narrative form. A systematic search was conducted in August 2023 with no time or geographical limits in CINAHL, PubMed, Finnish database Medic, Scopus, ProQuest, Web of Science, MedNar and EBSCO databases. Studies published in English, Finnish and Swedish were included. Eleven studies (three qualitative, eight quantitative) were identified and studied further. The results indicated that key themes of organisational attractiveness in health care were the dimensions of patient and professional work well-being, opportunities for professional growth and the responsibilities of the organisation. Patient and work well-being for nurses have a considerable effect on organisational attractiveness. Organisations play a notable role in enabling nurses' professional growth. Responsibilities of the organisation extend to higher political decision-making as well as to managers of the healthcare organisations. Organisational attractiveness covers the entire organisation, its patients, professionals and managers. Enhancing multi-professional cooperation, implementing effective management practices and branding of the organisation can contribute to increased organisational attractiveness. Organisations should consider nurses' wishes, develop strategies to improve competencies, leverage social media to develop their brand, extend the orientation to all levels of the organisation and increase interdepartmental and external collaboration. Future research on organisational attractiveness is necessary in health care and the views of healthcare professionals on a wider scale. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines were used when reporting the results. There was no patient or public contribution. The protocol was registered in the PROSPERO database of the National Institute of Health Research (CRD42023451680).

Technological Innovations to Support Family Caregivers: A Scoping Review.

Population aging increases the risk of dependency among older adults, which in turn necessitates care, primarily provided by family caregivers. This situation leads to physical and emotional strain on these caregivers. New technologies, such as tele-education, digital platforms, or mobile applications, can offer an accessible and equitable alternative for caregiver training and self-care support. The objective of this review is to analyze interventions targeted at family caregivers, both for their own self-care and for the care of dependent individuals, using new technologies. A scoping review was conducted, including a total of thirty-two articles extracted from three databases: CINAHL, Scopus, and PubMed. Articles in any language were included, with no fixed time limit, while articles with samples that included family caregivers of oncology patients were excluded. Most of the interventions were conducted via videoconference, showing outcomes that indicated a reduction in depressive symptoms among family caregivers. The implementation of new technologies for the development of interventions presents a viable alternative to in-person sessions. These technologies have shown positive results, while also helping to overcome time and geographical barriers imposed by caregiving responsibilities.

Strategies for Handling Delays in Building Projects (Private) during the Construction Period in Badung Regency

Delay in construction projects is the inaccuracy of completion time in each activity or overall project activity that exceeds the time limit in the contract document.From the results of observations and interviews with several contractors who carry out building construction work, especially privately owned in Badung Regency, where the results show that there are still many projects that experience delays in implementation. This study aims to analyze what factors are dominant in causing delays and provide an overview of strategies for handling project delays during the construction period.Data collection using a questionnaire survey method. The research population was 16 building construction projects that were under construction in Badung Regency starting from 2022 - 2023 with 64 respondents. The data analysis method used is the Relative Importance Index (RII) method and hierarchical clustering in analyzing the dominant factors causing delays then focus group discussion (FGD) is used to help collect and provide information in discussions for the formulation of SWOT analysis. The priority strategy recommended for the project delay handling strategy is the WT strategy which explains the position of the defensive strategy in minimizing internal weaknesses and external threats so that the contractor as the project manager must be able to minimize existing weaknesses in the project and overcome threats in project implementation. Using Reinforcement Learning in a Dynamic Team Orienteering Problem with Electric Batteries

This paper addresses the team orienteering problem (TOP) with vehicles equipped with electric batteries under dynamic travel conditions influenced by weather and traffic, which impact travel times between nodes and hence might have a critical effect on the battery capacity to cover the planned route. The study incorporates a novel approach for solving the dynamic TOP, comparing two solution methodologies: a merging heuristic and a reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm. The heuristic combines routes using calculated savings and a biased-randomized strategy, while the RL model leverages a transformer-based encoder–decoder architecture to sequentially construct solutions. We perform computational experiments on 50 problem instances, each subjected to 200 dynamic conditions, for a total of 10,000 problems solved. The results demonstrate that while the deterministic heuristic provides an upper bound for rewards, the RL model consistently yields robust solutions with lower variability under dynamic conditions. However, the dynamic heuristic, with a 20 s time limit for solving each instance, outperformed the RL model by 3.35% on average. The study highlights the trade-offs between solution quality, computational resources, and time when dealing with dynamic environments in the TOP.

Labor biographies of russian workers: from search to survival

The article aims to study labor biography of industrial workers. It is based on the materials of in-depth interviews conducted in the Ulyanovsk region in 2020–2021. The authors propose a new approach to the study of labor biographies, taking the concept of work capacity. They distinguish three main stages: labor search, labor balance and labor survival. This division is based on the logic of workers building their own professional path, therefore, considering stages do not have certain age or time limits. The authors give main characteristic of the worker’s behavior for each of this stage. The purpose of labor search is to choose such type of employment or working conditions that would suit the physical capabilities, personality and salary expectations of the worker, as well as their ability to learn new professional skills. The stage of labor balance is characterized by achieving a balance between different types of employment that allows workers to cope with high physical exertion and provide the desired standard of living. The stage of labor survival is aimed at preserving the workplace, adapting the labor process to the current state of health and reduced physical capabilities. The authors emphasize that the work capacity (in the form of health, professional experience and knowledge) is not the resources that are valued by both employers and workers. As a consequence, the stages of labor search and balance can quite quickly be replaced by the stage of labor survival.

HOW CAN OPEN GOVERNMENT CONTRIBUTE TO GENERATING PUBLIC VALUE? INTEGRATIVE REVIEW AND PROPOSAL OF AGENDA FOR FUTURE RESEARCH

We examined the literature on public value in the context of open government to identify gaps and propose a research agenda. We adopted the review protocol proposed by Cronin, Ryan, &amp; Coughlan (2008), which consists of five sequential steps. Two criteria were established to determine the studies included in the sample. The selection and access to the literature were carried out in two international databases, without establishing a time limit for the sample. The verification was carried out with the support of Mendeley software and the data were entered into an electronic spreadsheet so that they could be tabulated. After searching the databases, 16 studies were selected, analyzed and classified into four different categories. The results show a trend of research involving non-governmental entities in the context of member countries of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). This study has some limitations: the choice of search descriptors that may not have included all the studies that address the topic; and the interpretative bias of the authors of this study. The literature on public value in the context of open government was identified and reviewed, culminating in the proposal of a research agenda, with some avenues not yet explored by previous studies involving the topic.

Pioneering Cooperative Air-Ground Instant Delivery Using UAVs and Crowdsourced Couriers

Instant delivery, which has a strict time limit, has become a fundamental service in modern cities. Increasing demands and labor shortages make efficient instant delivery more challenging. Recently, the industry has recruited Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and part-time couriers to address this critical issue. However, the inherent delivery ability of crowdsourced couriers and the limited battery capacity of UAVs make them hard to solely meet the rapidly increasing instant delivery demands. Therefore, this paper proposes the first air-ground cooperative UAV and Courier Delivery paradigm, called UCD, to develop an optimal courier recruitment plan and assignment of instant delivery tasks for UAVs and couriers. In the UCD paradigm, courier and UAV delivery models are introduced, and a recruitment plan that considers both delivery demand and courier availability is designed. With this foundation, a data-driven algorithm is proposed to optimize delivery task assignments, maximizing the flexibility of UAVs and the capacity of couriers. Comprehensive evaluations are conducted on multiple long-term real-world datasets to demonstrate the superior performance of UCD.

A survey of Canadian neurologists’ perspectives and preferences for laboratory reporting of CSF oligoclonal banding

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) oligoclonal banding (OCB) analysis aids in the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). Despite its clinical importance, there is profound variation in processes, reporting, and interpretation of CSF OCB and associated tests/indices across Canadian laboratories. This is likely due to the lack of clear, evidence-based recommendations on CSF OCB analysis processes and reporting. Here, we assessed the CSF OCB reporting needs and preferences of Canadian neurologists as a first step in clinical stakeholder engagement to aid in the development of CSF OCB reporting recommendations. A 16-question survey was sent to neurologists across Canada in January 2022, and it closed in March 2022. The survey included questions regarding location and length of clinical practice; preferred maximum time limit for paired CSF and serum samples; reporting preferences for CSF-specific OCB, banding patterns, and associated tests/indices; as well as the clinical utility of CSF OCB and associated tests/indices. Twenty-two neurologists from nine provinces participated, with a median practice length of 13years. Most (64%) preferred a 24-hour limit for paired serum and CSF sample collection. The majority (73%) favored a cutoff of≥2 CSF-specific bands for positivity, aligning with the 2017 McDonald criteria. Opinions varied on reporting the number of bands and listing specific conditions in the interpretive comments. Some highlighted the need for further research on band count interpretation and its clinical implications. All respondents found CSF OCB results useful, with 64% valuing it more than other CSF tests for MS evaluation. Our survey reveals diverse preferences among Canadian neurologists for CSF OCB reporting. Stakeholder engagement and further research are crucial for standardized, improved MS diagnostic practices.
