Several technologies are currently competing for higher brightness, more colorful and efficient displays. In‐pixel color conversion, where blue light is converted into red and green at the pixel level, can enable emerging μLED, QD‐OLED and LCD architectures. Here, we discuss the requirements for the color conversion materials and show that perovskites are particularly promising due to their giant blue light absorption and suitable manufacturing processes. We then discuss the requirements for patterning films and focus on ink‐jet printing and photolithography. Finally, we demonstrate that conventional color photoresist formulations can be successfully adapted for green and red perovskites, which offer an exciting prospect for rapid adoption by the display industry.
