Proposed Framework for Adopting Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage for Public Health Action.

To propose a framework for adoption of privacy-preserving record linkage (PPRL) for public health applications. Twelve interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) were conducted virtually and coded using an inductive approach. A collaborative session was conducted with SMEs to identify key steps in the PPRL project lifecycle which informed development of a PPRL implementation checklist. This framework has 2 decision-making levels: the organization level and the project or program level. Organization-level considerations include PPRL governance, the optimal choice among approved PPRL solutions, the need for longitudinal linkages, the potential issue of vendor lock-in, and costs. Program-level considerations include characteristics of the PPRL use case, linkage quality and accuracy, data privacy and use, security thresholds, compatibility with data owners' data architecture, and trade-offs between open-source and commercial PPRL solutions. A PPRL implementation checklist was developed to guide public health practitioners considering PPRL for data linkage. The framework may be considered by public health entities to guide adoption and implementation of PPRL in public health research and surveillance. Public health experts may refer to this framework and the PPRL implementation checklist when determining the appropriateness of PPRL for specific use cases and implementation planning.

Modelling inter-relationships of barriers to smart construction implementation

Smart construction technology offers fresh avenues for advancing the field of civil engineering. It seamlessly integrates across the entire life cycle of civil engineering projects, encompassing planning, design, construction, and maintenance, thereby fundamentally reshaping the landscape of civil engineering development. Nonetheless, it is essential to recognize that, presently, smart construction’s developmental stage remains relatively nascent. Its progression is subject to a myriad of adoption barriers, and the complex dynamics of their interactions remain insufficiently understood. Therefore, this study aims to (1) explore the barriers to the adoption of smart construction; (2) analyze the impact level of each barrier; and the interaction mechanism between the barriers (3) propose effective strategies to promote the development of smart construction. This study commences by identifying 16 major impediments to the adoption of smart construction through a comprehensive synthesis of existing literature and expert interviews. Subsequently, Euclidean similarity analysis is employed to harmonize varying expert assessments. Following this, the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory model is utilized to ascertain the degree of influence associated with each barrier. Further, the Interpretive Structural Model is employed to establish a hierarchical framework that illuminates the interdependencies among these barriers. Additionally, the Matrice d’Impacts Croisés Multiplication Appliqués à un Classement method is invoked to elucidate the roles and statuses of each barrier. Finally, strategies are proposed based on the results of the analysis. This study offers practical strategies for overcoming barriers and driving the adoption of smart construction, filling a critical gap in understanding by identifying key barriers and providing actionable insights, thus significantly advancing the field and empowering stakeholders for successful implementation and dissemination.

Utilizing Building Information Modelling Technology To Modelling Abutment: Revit

Building Information Modeling (BIM) has transformed the construction industry by offering a robust platform that integrates design, analysis, and construction processes within a single digital environment. This research explores the application of BIM technology, explicitly using Autodesk Revit, in modeling bridge abutments—an essential component in bridge construction that supports and distributes loads from the superstructure to the foundation. The study aims to demonstrate how BIM enhances the efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability of abutment design and construction. The methodology involves a comprehensive review of existing literature on BIM and bridge abutment design, focusing on technological advancements, case studies, and best practices. Additionally, practical implementation of BIM using Revit is conducted to develop detailed 3D models of abutments, incorporating architectural, structural, and geotechnical elements. The benefits of BIM in this context include improved collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, enhanced visualization capabilities for design optimization, and early detection of clashes and constructability issues. The research investigates the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with BIM to enhance site selection and environmental assessment phases, ensuring informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Innovations in materials science, such as the use of fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), are also considered for their potential to enhance the durability and longevity of bridge abutments. Ultimately, this study contributes to advancing the application of BIM in civil engineering, particularly in bridge construction, by showcasing Revit's capabilities in creating accurate, data-rich models that improve project outcomes.

A two-stage stochastic programming model for comprehensive risk response action selection: A case study in Industry 4.0

Effective project risk management is critical in environments where both micro-level and macro-level risks are present. Traditional models often focus on micro-level risks, neglecting broader macroeconomic uncertainties such as geopolitical instability and supply chain disruptions. This research introduces a two-stage stochastic programming model designed to optimize the selection of Risk Response Actions (RRAs) under uncertainty while addressing both types of risk. The model incorporates “here-and-now” decisions at the planning stage and “wait-and-see” decisions as uncertainties unfold, enabling adaptive risk management throughout the project lifecycle. To solve the model efficiently, we employ an evolutionary algorithm combined with Sample Average Approximation (SAA) to handle the computational complexity of multiple scenarios. The model is applied to a real-world case study involving the integration of IoT and ERP systems in a smart factory in Iran, a project characterized by significant macroeconomic and geopolitical risks. Our key contribution lies in providing a comprehensive risk response strategy selection model that simultaneously addresses micro- and macro-level risks while incorporating strategic flexibility through outsourcing decisions. The results demonstrate that our model outperforms traditional deterministic models, offering enhanced resilience against macro-level risks and improved project performance under uncertainty. These findings provide valuable insights for project managers aiming to increase resilience and adaptability in volatile environments. By integrating both internal and external risk factors, our model offers a robust tool for managing complex projects, enhancing decision-making and project outcomes in uncertain conditions

The Doughnut Biotool: A tool to assess life-cycle biodiversity impacts from building projects

Abstract Life-cycle assessment (LCA) is widely used in certifications, regulations, and voluntary declarations covering the climate impact of buildings over their entire value chain. However, biodiversity impacts and other environmental impact categories are often disregarded. Conversely, there is a trend towards more systematic assessments of the biodiversity impacts that occur on-site as part of development projects (e.g. land transformation on the project site). However, off-site biodiversity impacts occurring throughout the rest of the value chain (e.g. from forestry activities, mining, manufacturing, heat and electricity production) are rarely considered. To bridge this gap, this article introduces the Doughnut Biotool, an open-source calculation tool to assess biodiversity impacts throughout the entire life cycle of development projects. The tool was initially developed to help implement Doughnut Economics and absolute sustainability principles in development projects. It constitutes a first step towards a better consideration of biodiversity impacts related to material- and energy use in building and construction projects. This paper presents the design of the tool and the method and data it relies on. The tool is applied to two separate case study projects, and used as a basis to discuss hotspots of biodiversity impacts within the building’s life cycle. Finally, the paper includes a discussion of the main challenges and opportunities for the future development and use of the tool, as well as for biodiversity impact assessments in the building sector as a whole.

A governance and risk management framework for project management in the oil and gas industry

Ultimately, the review serves as a guide for oil and gas companies to enhance project efficiency, minimize risks, and meet the demands of an increasingly complex industry landscape.

Development and implementation of cost control strategies in oil and gas engineering projects

This review delves into the development and implementation of cost control strategies in oil and gas engineering projects, an area critical for maintaining project viability and profitability amidst fluctuating market conditions. Effective cost control is essential in the oil and gas sector, where projects are often capital-intensive and subject to economic and operational uncertainties. This review examines various cost control methodologies and their application throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting to execution and closure. The paper highlights key cost control strategies, including detailed project cost estimation, budget forecasting, and variance analysis. It discusses the use of advanced project management tools and technologies, such as software for real-time cost tracking and predictive analytics, which enhance decision-making and financial oversight. The review also covers the importance of risk management practices in identifying and mitigating potential cost overruns, emphasizing the role of contingency planning and risk assessment in maintaining financial control. Case studies demonstrate how successful implementation of these strategies can lead to significant cost savings, improved project efficiency, and enhanced financial performance. Comprehensive evaluation of CCUS technology: A case study of China's first million-tonne CCUS-EOR project

CCUS, an emerging technology for reducing carbon emission, plays a crucial role in achieving the goal of carbon neutrality. CCUS technology exemplified by CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is gradually progressing from project demonstration to large-scale application. However, the commercial application still faces uncertainties in economic cost, energy efficiency and environmental benefits. This paper takes China's first million-tonne CCUS-EOR project (Qilu Petrochemical-Shengli Oilfield CCUS-EOR project) as an example, and establishes a comprehensive research framework for evaluating CCUS from the three dimensions of energy, environment, and economy, based on economic viability, energy input-output analysis, and carbon input-output analysis. The results demonstrate that during the project lifecycle, when the average oil price is $90/bbl, the project's NPV is $56.09 million, the project's IRR is 13.4 %, the payback period is 8.34 years, and the threshold oil price for the project to be economically profitable is $81.52/bbl. Furthermore, the Energy Return on Investment (EROI) of the project is 9.09, which considerably superior to that of the Shengli Oilfield's non-EOR, and the net energy output is approximately 18,472.57 kilobarrels. The Carbon Return on Investment (CROI) of the project is 4.12, with significant environmental benefits, and the cumulative net carbon emission reduction is approximately 8078.55 kilotonnes. Furthermore, the trends in EROI and CROI of the CCUS-EOR project demonstrate nearly opposite trajectories. The variation trends in EROI emerge N-shaped curve, while that of CROI emerge S-shaped curve. In summary, the Qilu Petrochemical-Shengli Oilfield CCUS-EOR project exhibits notable advantages in terms of energy efficiency and environmental benefits. However, the threshold oil price for triggering economic profitability is relatively high, which may pose certain economic risks to investors during periods of low oil price.

Balancing stakeholder interests in sustainable project management presents a critical challenge, particularly when adopting a circular economy (CE) approach. This review explores the integration of circular economy principles such as reducing waste, reusing materials, and promoting recycling into project management while addressing the diverse and often competing interests of stakeholders. Sustainable project management aims to harmonize economic, environmental, and social objectives, making the alignment of stakeholder goals a complex yet essential task. Stakeholders, including investors, customers, regulators, local communities, and internal project teams, often have varying priorities, ranging from maximizing profitability to minimizing environmental impact and ensuring social responsibility. This study reviews key strategies for managing these competing interests through collaborative decision-making, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), closed-loop supply chains, and sustainable procurement are examined as practical tools for integrating CE principles throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the review emphasizes the importance of education and communication in fostering stakeholder buy-in, enhancing long-term sustainability outcomes, and improving resource efficiency. Case studies from industries such as construction and renewable energy demonstrate how stakeholder collaboration in adopting CE practices leads to both environmental benefits and project success. The findings suggest that balancing stakeholder interests in a circular economy framework not only enhances sustainability but also drives innovation and competitiveness. This research underscores the need for continual engagement and adaptive strategies in project management, ensuring that stakeholder alignment with circular economy goals results in more resilient and sustainable project outcomes. Ultimately, adopting a circular economy approach within project management offers a viable pathway to achieving long-term sustainability and creating shared value among stakeholders.

Perencanaan Ulang Bangunan Gedung Dormitory Kawasan Sains dan Teknologi (KST) Nuklir Yogyakarta Berbasis Building Information Modelling (BIM) 5D

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a method of processing data during the life cycle of a construction project that uses three-dimensional, real-time, and dynamic building modeling software, thereby creating a complete model related to project data from the planning to the construction phase of the project. In the re-planning of the Yogyakarta Nuclear Science and Technology (KST) Dormitory Building based on Building Information Modeling (BIM) 5D, a special moment resisting frame system (SRPMK) structure was used. The planned building consists of 7 floors, including the lower structure consisting of a 50x50 square pile foundation and five types of pile cap, the upper structure consisting of columns, beams, and floor plates. The quality of concrete in the structure used is fc' 40 Mpa and 35 Mpa with reinforcing steel quality fy 420B. In this planning, 2D and 3D modeling was carried out. Structural analysis was carried out using the SAP2000 application, which was then continued with 2D 3D modeling and Quantity take-off results using Revit and Scheduling using Ms. Projects. The Draft Budget (RAB) results for this planning are Rp. 37,691,368,000.00. The planned duration of work is 26 weeks. The results of the scheduling and RAB are then integrated using the Naviswork software so that the simulation results of the work to be planned can be seen.

BIM IMPLEMENTATION FOR HERITAGE RENOVATION THROUGHOUT PROJECT LIFECYCLE: CURRENT USE, BENEFITS, AND BARRIERS

Introduction: Building Information Modeling (BIM) has garnered significant attention due to advancements in sophisticated technologies and methods. However, a comprehensive review of the existing literature indicates a lack of research exploring the application of BIM in managing the entire intervention design and renovation processes from a broader system perspective. The purpose of the study was to fill this gap by identifying and evaluating the current utilization, benefits, and barriers associated with implementing BIM in the lifecycle of renovation projects. The study methodology is based on conducting 31 structured interviews with experienced professionals who have employed BIM in their project deliveries. The results reveal that the primary benefits of BIM adoption, in descending order of importance, pertain to improved collective understanding of design intent, lower risk and better predictability of outcomes, better-designed and performing buildings, more accurate project documentation, and increased accuracy of the cost estimate. However, there are several prominent barriers: project budget, complexity of modeling historic structures, cost to hire BIM professionals, and the lack of BIM knowledge. The findings will advance BIM adoption for heritage renovation and enable project stakeholders to focus on realizing the benefits and potential uses of lifecycle BIM, while also addressing the critical challenges discussed in this study.

Adopting integrated project delivery (IPD) in oil and gas construction projects

This review explores the adoption of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) in oil and gas construction projects, focusing on the potential benefits, challenges, and strategies for successful implementation. IPD is a collaborative project delivery method that brings together the owner, designer, contractor, and other key stakeholders early in the project lifecycle to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance communication. In the oil and gas sector, where projects are often complex, capital-intensive, and high-risk, adopting IPD can lead to significant improvements in project outcomes. The review highlights the core principles of IPD, including shared risk and reward, early involvement of key stakeholders, and the use of collaborative tools and technologies, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM). These elements of IPD can help to streamline decision-making processes, improve cost management, and reduce the likelihood of disputes. Furthermore, the integration of IPD with advanced technologies, such as digital twins and AI-driven analytics, can enhance real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance, leading to better project performance. However, the review also discusses the challenges of adopting IPD in the oil and gas industry, including resistance to change, the need for cultural shifts within organizations, and the complexity of aligning multiple parties with differing interests. It suggests strategies for overcoming these challenges, such as providing training on IPD principles, fostering a culture of collaboration, and developing clear contractual frameworks that support IPD objectives. The review concludes by emphasizing the potential of IPD to transform oil and gas construction projects, leading to more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable project outcomes. It calls for industry-wide efforts to embrace IPD as a standard practice, supported by appropriate policies and guidelines that facilitate its adoption and implementation.

Unified External Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Strategy

Understanding stakeholder needs is essential for project success, as stakeholder importance varies across projects. This study proposes a framework for early stakeholder identification and continuous engagement throughout the project lifecycle. The framework addresses common organizational failures in stakeholder communication that lead to project delays and cancellations. By classifying stakeholders by influence and interest, establishing clear communication channels, and implementing regular feedback loops, the framework ensures effective stakeholder involvement. This approach allows for necessary project adjustments and builds long-term relationships, validated by a survey of IT professionals. Engaging stakeholders strategically at all stages minimizes misunderstandings and project risks, contributing to better project management and lifecycle outcomes.

Development and demonstration of a social sustainability assessment tool for the construction project life cycle

Purpose This research paper aims to address the scarcity of social sustainability (SS) in construction by developing a Social Sustainability Assessment Tool (SocSAT), further demonstrating the tool's applicability in measuring SS practices across the construction project life cycle. Design/methodology/approach Various research methods were used to establish the assessment criteria, including literature review, focused group discussions and structured interviews. Subsequently, the SocSAT was developed using proprietary spreadsheet software, which was further demonstrated its applicability and validity using ten project case studies. Findings The SocSAT was built on 19 indicators for pre-construction, 25 indicators for construction, and 4 indicators for post-construction phases. The SocSAT offers a comprehensive means for practitioners to assess and monitor SS practices across project phases. The findings indicate that the SocSAT is a straightforward and user-friendly assessment tool that enables practitioners to self-diagnose and better comprehend the present SS practices across the project life cycle. Research limitations/implications Limitations include the context-specific nature of validating the SocSAT. Practical implications SocSAT enables construction practitioners to monitor and improve their SS practices effectively, facilitating informed decision-making and promoting sustainable construction. The tool is a valuable guide for stakeholders to incorporate SS considerations, ensuring transparent communication and project success. Originality/value This research fills a gap in SS research within the construction industry. The SocSAT offers theoretical advancements with practical value, providing a standardized approach to objectively measure the SS dimension across construction project life cycles.

Integrating theory and practice in value engineering within Egypt’s construction industry

Egypt’s economy is unstable, marked by high unemployment, low incomes, and safety concerns, which impede its rapid development. One crucial sector that faces difficulties is construction, dealing with issues like funding shortages, payment disputes, and ineffective project management. Conventional project success criteria strongly emphasize efficient resource use and waste minimization. These criteria are symbolized by the iron triangle of cost, time, and quality. A key instrument for obtaining value for money in building projects is value engineering (VE). Even though VE is acknowledged in theory, its application is still limited in most developing countries, including the Egyptian construction industry. Therefore, to bridge the gap between theory and practice, this paper attempts to investigate the current state and application of VE in Egypt. The study further outlines strategies for integrating VE into construction practices and identifies obstacles to their implementation. This study employed both qualitative and quantitative research approaches to attain the research aim, beginning with a thorough literature review to assess the application of value engineering (VE) in both local and international construction industries. Then, a web-based survey was conducted to gather diverse perspectives on VE’s role and its current practice in Egyptian construction projects. The gathered data were analyzed mainly using descriptive and thematic analysis approaches. The paper’s findings revealed that there is a large gap between VE in theory and practice in Egypt. Reasons include lack of awareness and understanding, time and financial constraints, and resistance to change. Bridging the gap to enhance VE in Egypt includes a focus on the role of educational institutions and training, public awareness and recognition, and early project lifecycle integration. This research has gained insights about VE environment, process, duration, types of projects applied, and effectiveness, aiming to get a comprehensive overview of VE in Egypt. Furthermore, this research has identified a significant gap between VE theory and practice in Egypt. To bridge this gap and enhance the implementation of VE in Egypt, strategies such as focusing on the role of educational institutions, increasing public awareness and recognition, and integrating VE approach early in the project lifecycle are suggested. These findings will guide construction industry practitioners to deeply understand the current state of VE in Egypt and practically integrate VE in the construction industry to minimize unnecessary costs, enhance functionality requirements, and achieve value for client’s money.

Алгоритмизация управленческих процессов медицинской организации для создания цифровой модели функционального прототипа регионального проекта в отрасли здравоохранения.

Currently, the issues of algorithmization of various systems, objects, phenomena and processes for their subsequent digitalization are relevant. The essence of this approach is associated with the active development of information technology. The purpose of the study is to identify processes (algorithms) for preparing and creating a digital model of a project prototype, starting with an examination of the object (managerial processes of the project activity of a medical organization) in all functional states under the influence of external factors and the existing communication environment of the system. Materials and methods. The theoretical basis of the review was the scientific works of Russian and foreign researchers devoted to the study of the processes of algorithmization, prototyping and mathematical modeling. More than 30 literature sources were analyzed. The research methods were: system analysis, comparison, systemic and integrated approaches, as well as the method of problem modeling and abstraction. Results. The project-oriented orientation of the healthcare industry dictates the need to develop a practical system methodology and a holistic approach to the creation of digital prototypes of medical organization projects, which will rationalize the constant search for new management models to optimize project processes. The authors made the assumption that in order to visualize design processes by selecting optimal variants of prototype models, it is possible to create a digital prototype by algorithmizing management processes. To visualize the process algorithms (mechanisms) of the prototype(s) of project management processes, researchers proposed using a matrix that allows one to correlate the formalized processes of the project model with the processes of system functioning through the stages of the project life cycle. Conclusions. The transfer of management activities into a digital format implies clear formalization and codification using pre-formed prototypes of standard management processes for further digitization and development of digital (native) prototypes. In the next article, the authors plan to analyze in detail the matrix output data obtained from the formalization of project management processes in order to obtain information that complements the results of full-scale tests of a real system, and to obtain forecasts for the evolution of the project system over time.

Likelihood of early contractor involvement (ECI) benefits in infrastructure versus building projects: the client’s perception

Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) is a feature that has been used in many construction projects to onboard contractor competence early in the project lifecycle. Recently, there has been a growing interest in testing whether ECI can also be useful for building projects. Following a systematic literature review approach, a comprehensive list of potential benefits of ECI was identified. This study utilizes empirical data collected from 91 respondents from three client organizations to explore the likelihood of these benefits in a project. In general, the results show that improved innovation, enhanced constructability, and greater collaboration are perceived to be the most likely benefits of ECI. The likelihood of ECI benefits is moderated by the type of project, with building projects more likely to benefit from ECI. Regarding job roles, project management professionals are the most optimistic about the likelihood of these benefits. The results also indicate that there is no significant difference in the likelihood of the benefits based on the respondents’ experience with collaborative projects. However, respondents having prior experience with ECI have a different outlook than those without ECI experience for the better quality of solution and reduction in project cost dimensions.

Innovation in the life cycle of construction is an important topic for the modern construction industry. The introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and GIS (Geoinformation System) technologies into the construction process changes the traditional methodology of designing buildings and structures. The integration of BIM and GIS allows you to improve the accuracy and quality of information in design and construction. This is achieved through digital control and management of data stored in a single database accessible to all project participants. The use of system integration in the design of buildings makes it possible to display much more accurately the achievements of ergonomics and safety, work with energy, optimization of materials, as well as forecasting operating costs. Innovations in the construction life cycle can reduce time and financial costs, as well as improve the quality of work in the entire project delivery chain. This is important for various sectors, including residential construction, commercial real estate and infrastructure facilities. BIM and GIS also help to simplify the interaction between all project participants - from architects and engineers to builders and operational teams. This provides more effective problem solving and improves interaction throughout the project lifecycle. This study is dedicated to the topic of integration of BIM/GIS platforms. This article will describe the main terms and definitions, compare the functionality of the platforms under consideration. The advantages of technology integration will also be presented, the experience of using information modeling technologies used for urban planning activities on the example of a BIM model of a cafe building will be considered. The construction model will be exported from the BIM space to the GIS environment, during which some pros and cons of the transfers are identified, on the basis of which conclusions are formulated about the further application and integration of Graphisoft and Autodesk products.

The project is a critical component of most undergraduate programs and is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, demonstrating their ability to plan, execute, and present a complex piece of work. Unfortunately, there is currently a lack of clear and helpful guidance on how to conduct elementary research at this level, differentiate a computing project from other types of projects, and report it effectively. This paper aims to assist both computing students and faculty in carrying out and reporting on final-year research projects. It documents the differences in research approaches across various computing disciplines and provides a guiding framework for faculty overseeing the undergraduate research process. The guidelines cover various aspects of the project process, including the development of a project proposal, conducting the research, and writing the final report. It emphasizes the importance of early planning, regular supervision, and adherence to academic standards, particularly in the presentation and documentation of the project work. Additionally, the document details the criteria for project assessment, highlighting the need for clarity, innovation, and rigor in both the practical and written components of the project. Instructions on the submission process and the responsibilities of students and supervisors throughout the project lifecycle are also included.

Challenges Facing the Use of Remote Sensing Technologies in the Construction Industry: A Review

Remote sensing is essential in construction management by providing valuable information and insights throughout the project lifecycle. Due to the rapid advancement of remote sensing technologies, their use has been increasingly adopted in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. This review paper aims to advance the understanding, knowledge base, and practical implementation of remote sensing technologies in the construction industry. It may help support the development of robust methodologies, address challenges, and pave the way for the effective integration of remote sensing into construction management processes. This paper presents the results of a comprehensive literature review, focusing on the challenges faced in using remote sensing technologies in construction management. One hundred and seventeen papers were collected from eight relevant journals, indexed in Web of Science, and then categorized by challenge type. The results of 44 exemplary studies were reported in the three types of remote sensing platforms (satellite, airborne, and ground-based remote sensing). The paper provides construction professionals with a deeper understanding of remote sensing technologies and their applications in construction management. The challenges of using remote sensing in construction were collected and classified into eleven challenges. According to the number of collected documents, the critical challenges were shadow, spatial, and temporal resolution issues. The findings emphasize the use of unmanned airborne systems (UASs) and satellite remote sensing, which have become increasingly common and valuable for tasks such as preconstruction planning, progress tracking, safety monitoring, and environmental management. This knowledge allows for informed decision-making regarding integrating remote sensing into construction projects, leading to more efficient and practical project planning, design, and execution.
